Gessner and Neuens. Only place in town with ample supply of Optima batteries. Had many in stock….called all over town and no one had them in the right size. Transaction was a piece of cake, and Chris installed the battery perfectly and had me up and running in 20 minutes. This place is the place to go. Nice guys behind the counter, great guys to install the battery! Thanks very much !

This was my first time at Auto Zone. I googled and found out they offer free battery check. I wanted an honest answer. I didn’t want a mechanic to lie because I do not know about cars. Jose Garcia checked it and was soooooooooo polite. Everyone at this place had good customer service. All smiles and willing to help. I recommend this location.

Huge autozone with friendly and knowledgable service and the parts you need. This autozone is a hub so you will be more likely to find what you are looking for here than the other autozones. They loan tools, will help you diagnose a check engine light, or evaluate battery problems. They offer free lifetime warranty on a good amount of their parts.

Initially we spoke to Art over the phone and had parts placed on hold. He took the time to actually PHYSICALLY confirm that the parts were there before telling us that they were being held. He quoted us the hold time frame,store hours, price, warranty and also looked me up in the system PROPERLY! Later when we finally arrived- Jose F. greeted us properly along with another older gentleman in a red shirt. We didnt wait in line long though the store was fairly busy. Jose took care of us right away! He was professional friendly and sharp. He located our parts right away verified that we were even taking the right parts. Both guys were helpful and educated us on some car parts and titles along with helping us get the most economical price. Leaving out there was a kinda short Hispanic male in a red shirt who held the door for us and I also observed him attending to his customers very well. He even advised 1 of his customers to take full advantage of the discount/reward by buying a low cost item to meet the requirement. Overall this was a great experience!!!!!

Recently moved to the area and started going to this location for small things.My alternator just went. The team here was very helpful with checking their inventory and putting the part aside for me.Art and the other employees at this location always try their best to help and are definitely building great relationships with every customer that walks in. Great crew !**Due to COVID-19, this location’s hours have been changed to 7:30 AM - 12 AM (they used to be 24 hours). **

The service here is great. It is extremely convenient that they are open so late. Im sure Im not the only one that appreciates that. This has been almost a life saver when Ive ran into issues during late night project and needed either a tool or part asap. Its also convenient to leave work late night and stop by and pickup any parts/supplies Id need to start any projects early the next day.Thank you all for all your hard work.

Depending on who you get as your parts expert depends on the quality of your visit there at this location. Most the helpful overnighters that I started to grow to know and trust their capabilities to do their job in the fullest customer friendly way possible have moved to other locations or advanced their careers to other automotive branches of the world. All and all Id say 50/50 chance at this location of either enjoying it or hating it and want to take your business elsewhere.

Great Autozone has to be the best one I have visited yet. I went in looking for a coolent resivor cap for a 2006 Acura TL which they didn’t have but helped me get what I needed to improvise for the 2 day wait on the one I order. I had 2 gentleman go out of their way and when I mean out of their way I mean it. They stayed a whole hour after they closed to help and give me a hand on my vehicle. I will be coming to this location for everything I need parts and mechanical wise, as well as recommending all of my friends and family

SCAM ALERT! Went to AutoZone HUB to purchase only remaining 2004 Jeep Wrangler fan blade in all of Houston, over $200. Purchased product and inspected it in store before leaving. Product was damaged with bent blade tip. A very distinctive and obvious damage to part. Returned part and reported damage was witnessed by employees. I took a photo of the damaged part. Decided to order online. Received part next day from Autozone and opened the box to discover the EXACT SAME PART I HAD RETURNED. Identical to damaged part in store. Called and spoke to customer service which then attempted to file a false and misleading claim against the shipping company for damaging the product. Currently informing the shipping company and will attempt to file a complaint with AutoZone corporate. Mail fraud and insurance fraud along with wasting customer time costing days of rental and missed work is no joke. *Update* Wow, what a long wait but out of nowhere got a call from shipping co, say they are filing suit! lol

I went to this auto zone April 26 and I was purchasing 2 items when I was paying for the item I told the guy I was paying with cash and card so I use the 185 on the card and the full balance was 187 and some change after the guy approved the 185 he said that he couldn’t accept cash at this register cash app showed me that he approved it and the money was gone the guy told me to wait 2 days for it to come back but it’s been 2 week and a half maybe 3 and I spoke with the manger he said it should come in 2 days still nothing and I’m still waiting

They always try to sell my wife more than what she needs. My wife runs in to get an item such as oil... she come out with everything but OIL. Its happened more than one at this location. My point to them is, dont OVERSELL a customer because they seem to not know any better... they may have a husband (partner) that does!

My experience with this store has always been excellent! I was there two days ago to purchase front brake pads for my Toyota SUV, and the sales person, Jessie Morales was very helpful and educational explaining to me the differences between your good, better, and best brake pads, Duralast Brand. I elected to go with the MAX that came with the kit. I came back again to purchase brake pads for the rear, and Iamer, another sales person there took care of me, and the same excellent service was provided..Prior to this purchase, I bought a battery there and the salesperson helped with the installation. Auto Zone is my go to place for auto parts and related accessories. Keep up the good work guys! Your service is second to none. :-)PS: By the way, if the lines are long, its because other sales people are helping customers install a battery, light bulb, etc. For that alone, I have no issues waiting in line. You wont find this type of superb customer service at any auto parts store. Period!

I have a problem with a vacuum line and switch. AutoZone had replacement line but not the switch. They were helpful but I probably need a dealer part. AutoZone on Gessner, big building with lots in stock, always open, friendly, helpful staff.

First off, I have stopped by this location many times in the past. Staff have been helpful/knowledgeable. After researching, I determined I have a bad battery. There was a staff member who would not (could not) help since 1)he was leaving in 20 minutes, and 2) told me it was an hr job to replace battery on a 2010 infiniti G37 coupe (no, it takes no more than 10 min).Lo n Behold, Wonderful store manager Sam (gessner loc.) walks by and gladly assists. He not only sincerely showed empathy, he knocked it out in 7 minutes. Amazing human being, especially during these tough pandemic times. I even offered a monetary gift, which is professionally and graciously declined. Leaving a 5 star for ppl like him is the LEAST I could do to show my gratitude.

Hello, I came to get help with repairing a blown out headlight. I was attended by Mr.Jose who checked my truck’s headlight. He found out my headlight bulb was loose and there was no other problem with that. He fixed the loose bulb and I had a good working headlight back again! On top he checked if everything else was fine with my truck. Mr. Jose was professional, diligent and honest representative. Thank you for helping me and I recommend Mr. Jose 😊

Ive been buying at this location 3 times this past month. I paid cash everytime. First time i didnt get my full change, i was missing 20 some cents. Didnt mind that time . Second time again my change was incomplete. Third time again my change was short almost $40 cents. When i asked the clerk about the change, she told me thats its because i didnt pay with Card. I know 20 cents or 40 cents its not much but they do hundreds of CASH transactions per day.

I loved that this AutoZone location stays open 24 hours! If my car had issues in Houston this was the location I went to. They will help you with that check engine light and getting whatever part ordered or replaced that you may need for your car. Very convenient!

It was so nice to know that this place was open 24 hours. My sons a/c went out on his 2003 highlander and the hottest weekend if the summer so far here in Htown and he was able to get the part here where no one else had it. And after hours was even better. Well worth the drive and were able to call ahead to locate it and they put it on hold for him to pick up. Thank you, Auto Zone

Sad to see that during all this bad stuff going on in the world people still fail to be helpful. Went there today because my dashboard was flickering and I didn’t want to get stuck on the road with a newborn. Went inside and asked a young man if he can bring out the computer to diagnose the problem he said “no, that’s only if the check engine light comes on” which was a lie because I’ve had them use the computer to diagnose problems at other auto zones before. Anyways left and went to the auto zone down the street, god willing my truck DID DIE as soon as I parked there. Guess what? They used the computer with out making an issue about it! Spent my money there instead. Thank you auto zone on Kempwood for doing what this other auto zone failed to do for a mother and her baby.

It appears to me that the employees seem to have a really good relationship with each other. I bought a couple items online for curbside pickup. After a few hours of not getting the confirmation email, I called the store to ask about my order.Guy named Pedro goes : the parts shooouuuuld be here.... obviously didnt pick my parts from the shelves at all. Typical Autozone service. The only reason why people overpay for parts here is for the promptness, $11 for 1 quart of oil what a joke..... 5quarts of the same oil is $23 on Amazon and walmart.comI also had a lot of trouble with a bad battery that was still under warranty. Ended up buying a new one from Walmart up the street. Not all is bad, Anna was professional. Only shop here under emergency situations..

I felt with Art Today He must have been a regional manager he went way above above and beyond to assure that I had everything I needed as far a parts and all the right tools to succeed. He made me feel like Familia like he was a cousin. This has been the best experience I have had in a long time. Customer service with a servants heart is what you will get at this location. I was about to walk out and he even offered for me to use the restroom if I needed to freshen up and oh boy did I. Keep up the amazing work. Art I know will soon be all the way to the top.
