Kevin the shop owner is cool and laid back. His team are all friendly and helpful - they did a great job on tuning up my mountain bike and offering up their expert opinions on components. The overall atmosphere there is great.

The best bike shop ever! He fixed the crank arm of my bike in a few minutes and charged me very little. I forgot to ask his name. He was very friendly and laid back. Strongly recommend.

Very nice small bike store. Can handle any repairs. Kevin was so great. He put on my new tire and tube on my back wheel of my bike. He even adjusted the rim even though it was bent. If I ever need another bike repair I will be back and I recommend to anyone in need as well.

Went inside to get my bike fixed without my mask hoping theyd have a cheap one I could use. Noticed that none of the employees were wearing a mask. Asked why, they said they dont believe in masks. I went along with it because its a long drive from where I live and I was already there. One day later I tested positive for covid. According to my doctor, I was likely carrying it that day when I went in without my mask so they might have it too?I dont know what kind of successful business operates with such disregard for the modern bicyclist.

I have been taking my bike here for the past 3 years for general repair, tune-ups, and to install new parts/accessories. The staff is always friendly. The service is quick, usually being done the same day. The prices are fair. I would highly recommend them!

Finally replaced my stolen Kona with a used Trek mountain bike and this bike studio fixed a flat tire in minutes. Great location, fix while you wait service. I wanted to support local family owned business...so glad I found this studio in Montrose. Highly recommended and I see why! Support local. Youll be happy you did. I know I am!!

Purchased my bike elsewhere and called the shop to have it assembled by their mechanics. I was told over the phone it would be a 3 day turnaround. I was pleasantly surprised when they called and said bike was ready, less than 24 hours later. The guys where nice and helpful and explained a few things that I would need to check after a few rides. Highly recommend these guys for your neighborhood bike shop.

I will never return here. Three bad experiences in a row. On top of that, none of the employees wear masks, ever. Owner is super rude, and the whole vibe there is very uninviting.

Awesome staff, replaced pedals & handle grips on my bebe’s 20 yr old MTB which hadn’t been ridden in 1-2 yrs prior to the pandemic. We were having shifting issues & they provided a temp fix until we could bring for a tuneup for a reasonable price. Super nice guys!! Even helped out another cyclist who came in.

I needed to return a bike to another shop, they professionally repacked my bike, using one of their own bike boxes, and completed everything in one day. Great LBS (local bike shop)! Recently back in Houston and in need of a good wheel truing–having tried and failed to true them myself–I came by this shop through a Google search. Ive been to most of the bike shops around town before, and while satisfied with most, I wanted to try a new place. It turned out to be a great decision. Kevin fixed up my wheels, despite having to cope with a few mangled spoke nipples. I also needed a new tube, which he had at a decent price. I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of work and the final bill of sale.A few weeks later, the rubber around the valve stem cracked, which as any cyclist knows, cant really be patched. With something as mass-produced as an inner tube, a few lemons are bound to crop up. It was replaced without any hassle.Awesome customer service! That is how loyalty is fostered. Im hooked. Check em out!

Country girl first time buying a descent bike. Was looking for a hybrid to use for recreational and excersise. Guy was very down to earth, patient and helpful. I felt no pressure to buy, though I did end up walking out with one. Prices are competitive. I really like this place very homey kind of feeling. Like the service and atmosphere. I was able to walk out before a purchase without that disgusting guilt feeling. Came back, purchased a bike with a better overall idea of what I wanted.Love my new ride. I can not tell you what a treasure it is to have this guy’s shop so close to my apartment. The first time I ever went he adjusted my front derailed for free, and another time one of his employees helped diagnose my friend’s problem and offer a quick fix at no charge. For those reasons he has become my go to bike expert for all of my expensive jobs. Recently, helped replace my rear cassette, adjusted my bars, rewrapped the tape and installed a new chain. He even helped me fix my tubeless tires and gave me some good tips. He communicated with me clearly, managed my expectations and timely did the work. I am not a big fan of big box shops, the service here is personal and perfect. Plus, he is a dog guy. I always trust a dog guy.

Friendly, knowledgeable, organized, reasonable pricing.I brought in an old rear wheel which had a busted freewheel cassette. The employee pulled off the old one, installed a new one in 2min. $18+$5 labor.Will definitely return with any other repair needs.

I noticed the back wheel on my road bike was missing a bearing. Although I did not have the bike with me, the guys at Fletcher helped determine the size of the missing bearing. They did not have new bearings in stock, but gave me some used bearings for free. Used bearings seemed okay since my bike is over 20 years old anyway. After arriving home, I went to work on my hubs and was pleased to observe that the replacement bearings worked perfectly! After receiving a free service, the least I can give back to Fletcher Bike Studio is a FIVE STAR RATING!

I cannot recommend these guys more strongly. They are pleasant, do great work, are honest, straightforward and are a pleasure to deal with. (fyi this is the 1st review Ive ever written, and I felt so good about my experience at Fletchers that I wanted to put it in writing).

Kevin is a good guy. Very reasonable prices and he wont try to upsell you anything. He has fixed my bike twice and service is great and price was very reasonable.

Went here based on the positive reviews and was not disappointed. Kevin Fletcher and his team run a personable, friendly shop where they spent as much time as you need to answer your questions (no matter how basic). They did a great job -- at a reasonable price -- of making my old Trek 1000 rideable after many years in storage. This is a small neighborhood shop, so you cant expect a huge inventory, but they seem careful in what they stock. If/when I decide to get a new ride, Ill be back.

The reviews are no joke. Took my bike in for some brake maintenance. They just so happened to have the pads I needed in stock. They also replaced by bent rotor with a new one AND turned my old one into a clock and hung it on the wall. Pretty freaking rad!!! Very affordable too!!!

Someone stole my rear wheel and gears. I just wanted something serviceable to replace it. Fletchers did not try to sell me new, he had a used set right there, only charged $30 for it, installed, I was really pleased. Plus they are actually open at 10:00, as advertised, unlike the first three places I tried.

Quick and effective! I got a flat on my bike one day and was near this location. I did not have a back-up tire and decided to make the hike to have my flat tire fixed here. Not only did the gentleman working fix my flat in under 5 minutes, but it didnt cost me all the much either. They have won me as a customer and I know where I will continue to go if/when I should encounter any bike malfunctions.

The staff here is very knowledgeable and friendly. I went in to get my derailleurs adjusted and they had it configured perfectly in a short amount of time. This is the prime example of what a neighborhood bike shop should be like. Ill be sure to stop in for all my bike needs.

I went in to try and get some more information about my clunker bike. Trying to fix it up for the next generation and an interesting project. The guy didnt make fun of my lack of knowledge about bikes and supplied me with valuable information! Really great people with a lot of experience and stories.

Best bike shop in Montrose, hands down. I went there for a simple service issue and the gentleman working was down-to-earth and very informative. I use my bike to commute and he gave me information that would not only maintain my bike, but better its performance. He was honest about all of his products, including what isnt worth the money and what is the best bang for my buck. I would recommend this place over any other bike shop in Montrose. The people make it worth it.

Kevin took my ridden hard, put up dirty ride and transformed it into a new bike again. These folks are exceptionally good, trustworthy, very customer focused, and extremely reasonable.

Kevin spent a good deal of time helping me with a chain, discussing bike locks, etc. When I realized I bought the wrong length chain he added some links and gave me extas in case. Helpful and knowledgeable.

Great place to come to for a beginner with a flat. Not only was the service quick and affordable they even explained how I got the flat in the first place. Ill be coming back here any time I have a problem with my bike.

I was looking for a bike shop to bring my road bike for service. I liked the reviews I saw online and was not disappointed. Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable; he adjusted my Sram red yaw front derailleur which had given me problems for quite a while and cleaned and greased my bottom bracket which was noisy. I had not noticed it but he also tightened my headset which was a little loose. His co-worker at the shop tried my bike to make sure that it was running smoothly. They charged me much less than I expected and I received a call the next day to let me know that my bike was ready. I was very impressed by their professionalism and will not take my bike for service anywhere else in the future.

Stopped in there today w my son & wife to see what kind of BMX bikes and parts were available! Kevin spent a good 35mins if not more ( had I been alone itd of been an hour + easily! Haha ) just talking bikes and showing us various products that were high quality as well as leading in innovation and design. Nice people and quality service

I recently built a bicycle from parts I bought online, and all I can say is it wouldnt have been feasible for me without the guys at Fletcher. I went in immediately after receiving my frame and talked with Kevin for a while about how I was thinking of building it up, and we measured most of the dimensions (free of cost) I was going to need to begin ordering parts.After parts came trickling in, I quickly realized that I had neither the tools nor the experience and know-how to properly assemble the bike on my own. Over a span of a couple of months, I had the bottom bracket and headset installed, wheels trued, fork cut, and other assembly done by the guys at Fletcher. All work was completed within a day or two and was of high quality. I always received a call from Kevin letting me know as soon as things were ready.If youre looking for a local bike shop with fast and friendly service and knowledgeable people, or you just was to talk about bike stuff, you cant do any better than Fletcher.

Originally came in for a pre built BMX rim/hub I inquired about the day prior. When I came in I was told it had been sold and the owner told me if I wanted to buy a hub and rim he would assemble it right on the spot. Well he did exactly that and had me out of there in about an hour! Awesome dudes I got to speak to and got some solid tires for a steal as well. He even offered to give me a hell of a deal on another pre-built free coaster rim he had in Stock. Would recommend to anybody needing advice or any bike service!

After being patronized condescendingly by a bike shop nearby Fletchers, wherein shop owner literally hung up phone on me, I quickly rode over to Fletchers. Met Kevin & Emmitt,told em chain was skipping gears etc, same thing Id told OTHER bike shop.Emmitt & Kevin did a quickfix, Emmitt even explained that he was moving chain to least worn gear till I can afford full replacement in 2 weeks.Other bike shop nearby 30 minutes earlier had sneered at me, in person, etc...?!! Kevin & Emmitt saved the day, as I ride bike EVERYWHERE!! Thx, dudes, you are TRUE cyclists, in spirit also!! Emmitt is one of the most FOR REAL people Ive met in Houston, and these dudes are THE ONLY SHOP thats made me feel completely at ease. Thx.{ Of note, I TRIED to be politically correct, and say graceful things toward Kevin, the owner, when in ACTUALITY : Kevin snobbily dissed me EVERY time I called. And, when I PAID him to temporarily fix my chain from skipping, Kevins fix lasted about 6 hours. So, I returned to Fletchers, and Kevins bike tech Enmity TOTALLY broke it down to me my problem, & adjusted derailluer, unlike Kevin did. Fkng bike has ran PERFECT since Emmitts work.Just got my NEW parts, called Kevin, and AGAIN he was just the put-upon D**k to me via phone, so I said Ill only come when bike tech Emmitt is there!, to which Kevin replied, Oh yeah?! Typical unreliable bike shop. Guy called on Tuesday to say bike was ready, told him Id get it on Saturday. Got there at 520pm on Saturday (sign says theyre open until 6pm) and the store is locked up tight.
