Nick’s team replaced tiles on our floor and bathrooms. They also helped remodel our master bathroom (he took care of all - tiling, electrical, Sheetrock and painting - except plumbing) and I am very pleased with the results. For the last 3 years, we had 4 busted tiles in our kitchen floor that was driving my wife and I crazy. Unfortunately, the tiles were discontinued and we could not find it anywhere. Since that happened, we always felt we wanted to change the flooring on our first floor anyway. The first floor had a combination of carpet, tile, and wood for each room. In my opinion, it was gross. However, we received a good recommendation from a friend to called Nick.He came to the house and immediately knew what caused the tiles to buckle and break. It was a lack of thinset mortar. After he measured our living area, my wife showed Nick the few selections we liked. But, we did not know which way to go. He took his time in educating us on our selections and provided us with other selections with better quality. After several trips, we finally made a decision on our flooring selection. He provided us a time line of the project and the cost of the materials. A few days later, Nick and his crew were off to the races. He and his crew were always on time, considerate of my work at home situation, and professional at all times. They never missed any details when installing our new flooring. For example, one of the planks of wood was slightly damaged and was not noticeable (at least in my eyes). Well, he removed the damaged plank and installed a new one. It was flawless.Hands down! I came in about a month after the hurricane needing tile in one room. Sam, the manager, came to my home immediately and gave me an estimate better than other companies. In fact, Floors for Living also came to give me an estimate, which was higher and, in addition, Floors for Living never returned my calls or emails. In contrast, Petra set up a time after the tile arrived via shipping and on the morning of installation. Nick, the owner, came out to look things over and assure all was good on the day of installation (Saturday). The guys did a great job and worked all day, including removing a toilet, and placing it back to be sure the tile looked great; Not every company will do this. We had a little glitch in scheduling the second day when they had to apply grout, but they came out, finished the job in about 45 min, cleaned up, and I got my room back! Overall, great and personable people there,; I would hire them again in a second!!!Just completed my second installation with Sam and Petra and, as before, they were GREAT! Came out to my home the same day I visited Sam at Petra, gave me several options to think about, and correctly estimated the time frame for the job. Simply a pleasure working with Sam and his team! Courteous, great prices, cleaned up completely, and outstanding work. I wish I had done this sooner. Very, very happy with my new living room floor!

My husband and I walked into the small unassuming shop; right away we noticed that Sam was different than the sales person/manager in the 6 or 8 other shops we visited in a two-day span. Sam was attentive, knowledgeable at the same time not pushy. We started by purchasing a modest amount of shower/bathtub tiles and bathroom counter from Sam. Then we bought a larger amount of floor tiles. We were more impressed with Sams service and pricing with each additional purchase. Unfortunately, we contracted a GC for the installation already. I wished we had Sam install them instead. Our final large purchase was two slabs of granite for our kitchen. Petra did the install. Sam made certain that we were happy at each stage of purchase and installation. Petra and Sam has been one of few happy spots during this Harvey induced renovation. If I had to do it all over again, I would have go straight to Sam for every bit of flooring, tiling, and counter work, material and installation. I think I will be heading to Sam for some blinds and window covering soon. Just love the place.

I got carpet installed by Petra Flooring. I came in an spoke with Sam. He answered all the questions and was able to give estimates. I then went to check out other competitors like Home Depot, Roberts Carpets, but Petra Flooring offered the best all inclusive price with NO hidden fees. They wont nickel and dime you. Sam promised carpet would come in 5-7 days and they would be able to install the next day. He delivered on his promised and now I am enjoying my new carpet. I highly recommend. Sam is easy going and great to work with. The process was smooth. I will be back for more flooring needs.

We ordered motorized Hunter Douglas shades and Sunland Poly Shutters from Petra. The process could not be any smoother. First, Sam is very knowledgeable. He is most willing to answer all of your questions and give you advice on what to do. On top of the shades and shutters I ordered, we wanted to do some new flooring. We have a newly built house and there was an area that had new carpet, but we wanted wood floors instead. Sam actually advised us to use the carpet for now since it’s new and do the wood floors down the road when the carpet looks a bit old. Who in this time gives advice that would actually make him lose business!!! This showed me that Sam only tells you what he thinks is right, no matter if it causes him to lose your business. From that moment I trusted him. I also checked the prices of the shades and shutters at other certified dealers of Hunter Douglas, and his price was by far the best. His installers are great as well. Go with Petra and will not regret it. They genuinely care about their customers.
