I recently replaced my mobile phone at the Verizon store on Houstons Katy Freeway. The folks at Verizon were very enthusiastic about selling me a new one, but wouldnt transfer information from my old phone, which I had also purchased there. So I took both phones to uBreakiFix. They transferred everything and got me going very quickly. They even explained a few things I needed to know about the new phone.Bottom line: uBreakiFix is my go to location for phone repair. They even fix laptops.

How can I put how much I love this place into words? They obviously do not use OEM parts. I had my screen replaced after owning the phone for a year and a half and barely any scratch noticeable on the screen. In two and a half months my screen that they put on is scuffed and scratched and ridiculously not up to the standards of the original gorilla glass. They did do a good job of installing it though 🤷

James went above and beyond to make sure my son’s Nintendo Switch was fixed before we moved out of state the next day…he was really helpful and it was a huge relief for us!

I called one of their competitors asking about removing blockage in my charging port, and I was quoted $20 for a thirty second service. I then spoke to Mark from uBreakiFix, and he explained to me that uBreakiFix does not charge for miniscule services such as that. In a nice chnage from the norm they actually care about their neighbor here at uBreakiFix.Finally, although uBreakiFix services products from a modern setting, the customer care is nothing but a throwback to the past.

Took my daughter’s iPad in because she got sticky gunk in the charging port and speakers. I tried to clean it with alcohol, q-tip, and compressed air but couldn’t get all of it out. Carl throughly cleaned everything and it is charging now. Also did it free of charge and didn’t try to sell me a new screen protector or anything else. Very nice and professional experience.

Took my laptop there to replace a loud fan and was told the part for my laptop with the specific revision number was not available and to not spend too much money on an older laptop. Too my surprise after picking it up there was minor cosmetic damage and my laptop only showed a white screen. Not sure what they did but now my laptop does not work and they are trying to fix it. I took it back and they disassemble it to do a thorough check and everything passed. Tech said something may have not been reconnected correctly. They admitted the error and my laptop is working ok but still unable to get a replacement for the noisy fan issue due to no compatible parts.

So I just have to share what will sound like a commercial bc Im so happy.I just got my phone screen replaced. I cracked it by dropping it at work in the parking lot the very last week I was there! Typical, right? But I brought it to UBreakIFix, and Im so glad I did because they let me know that I could use my insurance with AT&T to replace just the screen, whereas when I went to AT&T, the representative just told me to use the online portal. That didnt give me the option to replace only the screen; it would have cost me $200 to replace the phone, likely refurbished, and I would have to give up my phone to them. I was going to pay just under $300 instead to just have my screen repaired when UBreakIFix told me I could use my insurance to replace my screen, which would come with a new frame AND battery for $29! I feel like Ive just learned a trade secret, and I feel like I have a brand new phone.So ... Im really happy about not paying $300 and also keeping my phone!Thanks to Minh and James for taking care of me and giving me the info that saved me over $250!Sorry to make this sounds like a commercial! 😆

Friday, my Google Pixel 3 suddenly restarted itself and got stuck in an infinite reboot loop. Saturday, I took my phone to uBreakiFix Heights location for repair. I explain the issue to the person behind the counter (#1) and he says they need 1 to 3 days to diagnose the issue. I leave him my phone and give them my fathers number as the contact number. Monday, my dad gets the call and I speak to person behind the counter (#2) saying they are going to try replacing the battery, and I, again, explain to her the issue with the phone and that the battery is fine. She says they will continue to diagnose the issue and will e-mail me back when they figure it out. Tuesday, I dont receive an e-mail, so I call in and speak the person behind the counter (#3). He says, Oh yeah, weve been meaning to get in contact with you. After their diagnosis, they have determined theissue with the phone to be a faulty motherboard, which they dont replace, so, theres no fixing it. I must replace the entire phone with a new one. I go back to uBreakiFix Heights and person behind the counter (#4) returns my phone. At home, before shopping for a new phone, I decide to give it one last try. I spend 5 minutes googling the issue and learn about how to do a Factory Reset. So, thinking, what do I have to lose, I perform a Factory Reset, and guess what, this fixes it. It boots right back up normally. I didnt need a new battery, I didnt need a new motherboard, I didnt need a new phone. As I suspected from the start, it was completely a software issue, something to do with the latest Andriod update apparently.I chose to bring my phone to this company because they are a Google Authorized Repair Center, but in my case, I found them to be inept and unorganized.

I broke my Pixel 2 Smartphones Screen last month, but uBreakiFix in Houston replaced that broken screen and I am good to go!

I recently brought my laptop to the uBreakiFix Heights location and could not be happier with the service I received. I was having trouble connecting to WiFi in my home and after trying to troubleshoot myself with no success, decided that Id better have it looked at by a professional. Turns out I had a couple of loose wires that needed to be reconnected and was notified by Tristan that he had remedied the issue and at no cost to me. What amazing customer service! Its ok. My phone is completely repaired. I paid $300 for the repairs putting down a deposit. When it came to pay the clerk wants to tell me how I was charged the incorrect amount blah, blah, blah... I was looking like, What does your co-workers mistake has to do with me? I have a Samsung, I broke my phone on vacation by dropping it multiple times in a row. Now, that its fixed I probably will never be back.

This is my second time visiting them, which I chose to repeat because my previous experience with them was good. This time I had issues with the charging charging port of my iPhone X and thought it needed replacement. I set an appointment and they received the phone on time, applying the safety measurements during the pandemic. It turns out that it was only dirty and they explained this is very common on these ports. They solved my issue within a few minutes at no charge. Honest people with good knowledge. Recommended.

These guys are great! Unfortunately they could not fix my iPhone charging issue, since the motherboard is not fixable. But these guys really tried and are super helpful! Give them a try.

Promised repair completion in 3-4 days. Stated they had screen and lcd/digitizer in stock. Said they would contact me in a day or two to verify and confirm repair. None of that was true or occurred. Never contacted me and I had to call them after 9 days. At 11 days they finally called for diagnosis and confirmation of repairs. Two days later, 13 days, they said theyre closing and I had to either wait two weeks for them to re open and do repair or come get my still unrepaired ipad. Also said they had to order the part they previously said they had in stock. One lie after another. Horrible service .

Even the Kirby location was trying to overcharge me Seriously?! Thanks God I continued to do research and came across Houston phone guys and got the same service for only $40 camera lens like new for my iPhone 8plus

I dropped a cup of hot milk into my laptop. uBreakiFix took care of it immediately and cleaned/dried it. The best of this, is that it was completely free, which I still dont understand how, but Im guessing that they are just hoping that I come back. Ive brought my laptops, phones and desktops to them over the years and theyre always prompt and they fix the issue with minimal cost. Last week when there was an issue with Chrome they just went ahead and fixed it without any charge. They are my go-to folks.

Watch out- I was told that if I wanted to fix my samsung phone screen I would have to 1) also buy a new battery that I didnt need, and 2) give them access to my personal data. Went down the street where the fixed my phone cheaper and faster than this place quoted. Avoid!Editing in order to respond: why should I have to back up and restore my whole device? Why does this company not simply do the testing with the customer present? Seems pretty suspect. Highly inconvenient at best.

This is my second time in. The whole team was communicative, efficient, and helpful. On this visit, Rafael fixes my computer during the diagnostic phase and explained what to do if the same issue happened again in the future. I won’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

I have visited them for 2 different repairs in the last month and not only did they repair my laptops but they were just a pleasure to deal with.I dealt mostly with James but also received excellent service from Kirby and one other gentleman (sorry) during my visits and numerous phone calls. I have trained and dealt with tech people in sales and customer service for years and I can honestly say I am impressed with every person I dealt with and the level of service they provided. They have been professional, personable, patient and knowledgeable with out being jerks about it. Thats huge! And the best part is, it doesnt seem canned as if they were just trained to say the right things, it just seems to come natural, which is, as we all know, a rare thing in any service industry these days. In fact, they took every opportunity to be nice by sourcing some badly needed equipment and software fixes that I didnt even anticipate! So yes, they took me the extra mile that we are all so desperately seeking guidance with. I am currently and will continue to recommend them to others. Brought in my IPad because the screen was not working. They took it apart and found that it was a loose wire to the LCD. They quickly fixed it and did not charge me a nickel. Love working with these guys and highly recommend them!

These guys are *AMAZING*. Friendly knowledgeable staff with great service! I thought my Pixel was a loss after getting dropped in salsa (connector, mic, speaker out), but they fixed it up like brand new and threw in a new battery too for half price! Since there was a tiny crack in the corner of my screen, there was strong concern it would grow when they took the phone apart and ruin the screen, but they were extra careful and able to do it with no problems.

My iPhone stopped charging, and my attempts to clean out the charging port were unsuccessful. I figured the port needed to be replaced. I took it to UBreakiFix, and Courtney examined the phone, then used a small dental tool to remove a small, unseen bit of plastic debris that had jammed down inside. Ten minutes, no charge, and the phone charges again. Nice people.

Yes, this is a true story. Not two feet out of the store with a freshly repaired iPhone 6 (broken screen), I somehow fumbled the naked and pristine phone from my hands. It was the longest 1.39 seconds of my life, it felt to be passing by in slow motion, and there was nothing that I could do but watch it brutally smack the concrete sidewalk. I already knew that the fall wouldve cracked the screen, but by instinct I hurriedly picked the phone up off the ground only to have my assumptions come true. At that moment I was faced with a certain humility and immediately two options presented themselves to me: 1. Turn and run, or 2. Cry. Ashamed, I turned my head towards the storefront and there standing behind the counter was the owner of the store with his hands clasped over his mouth. He saw it ALL happen. He was laughing, but at that point so was I. He waved me to come back into the store where we proceeded to relish in the sheer irony of the situation along with all of the other customers that were waiting to be helped. He took my phone and repaired it free of charge and all I could do was thank him, so humbly humiliated. Worth every bit of a 5 star review. Thank you uBreakiFix, loyal customer for life.
