I have wanted to go in the store for like the longest of times and I finally went today. They do have a multitude of items and in array of styles and time eras. I didnt buy anything but I would go back if I had more time I would definitely just give it a four. The staff was friendly and I did see at least two things I would buy.
Nicole was awsome! she was super helpful and very understanding, will probably come back
Loves it. Had a very good experience first time selling as for the prices of the actual clothes I’m not sure how’s that looking, never shopped here but the girl who took my clothes into consideration was very pleasant and she told me the reason of why she didn’t take some of the items and shoes. When you’re selling they take IN SEASON CLOTHING/SHOES. Just a heads up. You have better luck when they are well known brands. 40% cash 50% in store credit.
Went in this evening and the cashier was very rude. My total was around $19.18 and I gave her $20.25, instead of taking my exact cash she only took the twenty and gave me .80 cents back. Not really a big deal, but I didn’t want that much change back. On top of that, she did not ask how I was or anything. But she sure did make sure she asked my fiancée how he was. Great store overall, but the attitude was not there for me.
Great pricing on awesome clothing. Staff is so helpful. Will be shopping here Again.
The store is very organized. The dressing rooms are clean. Prices are a bit up there but they offer discounts that can help you out!
Great spot! A ton of variety and great finds! The staff is incredibly friendly and they are more than willing to assist you.
This location has gone downhill. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Yesterday I brought in a bag full of American eagle pants, denim, lightly used vintage, shoes in better condition than what they currently have, and lots of other pieces similar to what they sell in store. They told me it would be about an hour wait, it was more like 2. The kids behind the counter just stood there and talked to each other the entire time and talked to one person not behind the counter who seemed like a friend. They wasted my time, the gas to get downtown, and bought 0 items. What I got in return was snarky looks from teenagers and a “thanks for coming in though”. I will not be returning.
I always find something here and staff are always super nice:) love shopping here.
The store is amazing, the employees are always trying to help you. The prices are good and there’s a lot of stuff.
Great thrift store!! Loved everything I found here, new favorite thrift store!
Great clothes! Very friendly staff and the vibes here are immaculate!
Large selection, especially for smaller women. But the prices are questionable. Some clothes are over $10 when they were probably that price brand new. That said, nicely organized and they still enforce masking so I enjoyed browsing. My bf bought a concert tee but we probably wouldn’t return unless I’m the area.
Not a kid friendly place. - rude staff just IMO. Cute shop but if you have kids 7 under best not to bring them. They didn’t like that my kid was sitting along the wall. They did offer a seat in the back but I could not watch from there. So basically he was in the way the entire shopping time. I didn’t buy anything, but friend with me did. - initially a chair had been accidentally left in the front and after we were asked to vacate the seat things got awkward quick.
My wife picked me up two shirts for a 90s party unfortunately they were labeled XL. Tried them on barely even a large so they became unusable since the party had expired. Went the next day to return the items and got Blindsided with a very unreasonable rule ABSOLUTELY no refunds cash or credit. Pretty much forcing me to spend my money in a gimmick store. Im a 43 year old man and has no need for retro gear. I will never return. Kids feel free ADULTS stay clear, especially if youre not a super thin specimen. I feel like the false labeling is a ploy for this BS rule. Never again 😡
Waste of time. We came in to sell clothes and was originally told it would be an hour. It ended up being two hours and the person going through them barely looked at them and said we did not have anything they wanted. She saw us bring the clothes in and glanced at them and should have told us right away they did not want our stuff. We had items from Talbots and other boutiques. Our clothes were much nicer than a lot of the junk they had hanging from their racks which was extremely overpriced. Dont waste your time trying to sell anything here. Also, the clerks attitude was too bad you waited so long. Worst place ever. Never going back and spreading the word.
If I could only shop at one thrift store for the rest of my life it would be here!! Prices are steeper than other spots, like Goodwill, etc, but the quality and brands of the clothes reflect that. Brand new with tags Zara, American Apparel, Free People, and more! Staff is always sooooo friendly. Love!
Large variety of clothes, very good quality and great shopping experience!
Pavement is always such a joy to visit! They have something for everyone no matter what your style! ☺️
I sold some old clothes I wanted to get rid of and they showed me love on the price, thank you pavement
Great selection of clothes! Wide variety of styles. Great staff as well!!
I have been known to drive the 250 miles from Dallas to shop here. It’s that awesome. As a bonus, the number of Shazams Ive completed while shopping has deeply expanded my Spotify playlists.
Different varieties of clothes to mix and match absolutely love it !
This is and has my been FAVORITE SPOT in Houston. It’s in the heart of Houston and such a cool spot to get your vintage & retro clothing.
One of my favorite Thrift stores. So many statement pieces.
I thought because of the neat appearance that the clothes would be overpriced but I was pleasantly surprised!! I also really liked how organized it was. I am normally very overwhelmed by thrift stores but this one was very organized and it was easy to find what I was shopping around for.
Awsome place and dope selection of heat, also awesome service 10/10. Austin was the best thank you
Great place! Nicole is great! Give her a raise please she’s really out here doing the most
Everything was dope! Very good selection and reasonably priced! Picked up about 4 items for very cheap! One of the best in Houston foreal!
I brought 2 full bags of almost new clothes to sell. They did not take a SINGLE piece, arguing they were too new and would not sell. I left so mad. Next time I will bring my beat up trashy clothes, so then maybe they can buy! Such a WASTE OF TIME!! They basically want to pay nothing for your trash and sell at almost retail price.
Went shopping with my sons and some friends downtown Houston, and we stopped at the Pavement because my sons and their friends like retro clothing. When we walked in the store and started looking around and an employee came up to me and said I needed to have a mask on. I told her I no longer wear masks because I’ve been vaccinated but that I would just leave. I turned to tell my son that I was leaving and that I would be at the next store down but before I could even get that out of my mouth different employee that was behind the counter YELLED out in front of all the other customers “GET OUT OF OUR STORE” and proceeded to stare me down. It was totally unprofessional! I will not ever go back there again!
They play amazing music but I can never find anything. Is there a certain day they stock new stuff?
Great variety excellent choices love the atmosphere will be back
Had a great time at the store, there was so many items and articles of clothing to choose from!
I have shopped at thrift stores all my life and my daughter asked me to bring her here. You could tell Rich kids come here to shop at a “thrift” because it’s a trend. Shirts for for over $10 and up. Not even used clothes but more like small shop sales. Not to mentioned they only cater to small women and men. She was highly disappointed so I took her to the goodwill and real thrift stores around town. Don’t waste your time and if your a rich kid, this is a poser shop. Go where poor people actually shop.
Great selection plenty of cool threads and not too expensive either. 🔥✨
Love this place❤️ they have the cutest clothes and the staff are so nice and helpful ❤️ Will definitely go back!!!!!
I always see people complain about the prices but the way i see it, pavement makes thrifting a bit easier by already having the more desirable items - which probably explains the higher prices than most are used to when shopping at traditional thrift stores. Additionally, the staff has always been super friendly and helpful! I love coming here on market days and random times throughout the week to see what new pieces they have. Finally, i love that they carry deadstock american apparel AND lots of newer super marked down urban outfitters items!
Awesome store but terrible parking and terrible roads. I didnt find anything I was looking for but great stuff to try on thats different and unique
I ❤️ that masking is a requirement. Staying 6ft away is impossible so mask up. Every visit is a new adventure.
They were great! i sold some of my clothes here and they took care of me very well :)
Such a cute place with lots to find. They are organized extremely well so you can find whatever you need. Staff is also very friendly.
Great service! And great clothing!
This is a really great store if youre a womens size 8 or smaller. Its really frustrating how this store has plus sized people modeling on social media and working for the store, but virtually nothing above a size 10. When I was that size it was a bit of a challenge to find my size, but now its just not possible. If you wanna portray your store as unique and inclusive that means actually buying plus sized clothes, not just showing people wearing them.
Good selection, wide variety of button downs and tees (definitely not all vintage though). On the pricey side ($10-20 for a shirt, $30-60 for a jacket) but you can find some gems for lower prices. Fantastic atmosphere and layout. Went on a Saturday afternoon, would recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowds. They do require masks to be worn in the store which is great!
They say theyre in the business of taking in gently used clothing,So you bring them in only to be rejected.Wont be returning anytime soon or never.
Amazing place and helpful staff. Best dressed in town!
Over priced and over hyped. They tried to sell me some white stained pants for $30. Better to just go to the mall and buy new ones for the same price. Thought it was a “thrift store”
Great re-sale clothing store, wide variety of clothes. You can find some nice dresses for prom or a homecoming here too. They sell athletic wear, western wear, casual dresses, band t-shirts, and safe-for-work blouses. You can find clothing from H&M, American Apparel, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters. I found a dress from Zara here too but it was not the cutest. I purchased ankle boots here for $45 and I cannot stop getting compliments on them. The shoe selection is really impressive, Im always able to find something cute. The place is kind of high end for a resale store but the clothes are a lot more trendy compared to other thrift stores. The fitting rooms are not the best in my opinion. Curtain fitting rooms but the top portion of the curtain is see-through so people can see your face if youre taller than 55. The walls are black and the mirror is super narrow and the space is dimly lit. Not great when youre trying to figure out if this sequined dress with a deep v-neck looks great on you or only looks great because you cant see like 40% of your body :p Parking is very limited!!! If youre going on a weekend, you best prepare to park a couple of blocks away and walk. Also due to covid, you will probably have to wait in line before entering. Staff is always super friendly and nice, never had a bad experience
Absolutely love to shop here. Huge store. Great inventory. Always good finds here and staff is helpful. Sale section up front!
Harness your hopes on just one handbag because you know this handbag was only made for you.Come on down to Pavement where the band Pavement performs every night (warning: Pavement the band is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Pavement the thrift shop. Pavement the band does not endorse, support, or engage in acts claimed by Robert Morales, Pavement the thrift store, or any of either of their affiliates).
They still force people to wear masks even after the cdc said its fine to go without one, they are science deniers
This place is v swag, always has good stuff :)
The place has the best clothes and amazing workers !
Really expensive for a thrift store. Nice selection, but the price isnt worth it.
Employees so nice and huge selection :)
I shop here all the timeee. always a great find. love ittttt!!🤎
Amazing store! 👏🏾
Love this store! Buy most of my clothes here! Staff is awesome
I really appreciated the customer service here. It was my first time bringing clothes in & everyone was so sweet (& organized which I loved). I even asked how they came up with the pricing and Zack explained it so clear & detailed, 10/10 will be selling/buying from them again
Cute place, went on a Saturday and it was SUPER BUSY. But I whole heartedly appreciate the fact that they are requiring everyone to still wear a mask 😷 Parking is horrendous though.
Tried to sell 2 bags of clothes and they didnt take a single thing. One bag for sure literally only had clothes that looked like they were from that store. I think its because Im a Latina and not a hipster white person that they didnt take a single thing.
Came to sell some clothes told me it wasn’t “modern” enough shoot my clothes were clean and washed compared to the stuff they have on their racks 🤷🏾♂️ guess I’ll continue donating to goodwill this store probably won’t give you much back anyways
Unique experience. Everyone friendly
The best thrift store, fasho!
Always have surprisingly great shopping experience here. They not only sell thrifted clothes but also new clothes and the selections are great depending on when you go! Its a fun place to visit with friends!!
From skorea good quality!
REALLY NICE STORE
Great prices and choices
Too expensive to pass off as a thrift store. Just go to the mall and buy yourself some brand new clothes because they are gonna be the same price if not cheaper!
Always a blast and a Houston treasure. Stay cool never change ;)
They always have the special pieces I’m looking for!! Thanks Pavement!
Best thrift store ever and amazing customer service!
I needed to make a return for something I purchased yesterday, hadn’t been told the return policy is store credit only (though, to be fair, it is posted in the store). It was fine, there was something else I wanted anyways. However, they don’t give you credit for tax on returned items.. so you’ll double-pay on tax when redeeming the store credit. When the prices are already high for used items, this just feels quite slimy. :/
Have the best Vintage Shirts around
The employees were very welcoming, I felt happy to be there. The person running the fitting room section was very nice and complimented my shoes. Overall a very good place definitely recommend it. Will be back again!!! 🥰
Pretty cool collection! A little over priced. The staff there is really nice!
When i entered the store i only felt good vibes. it was really clean throughout the whole store. there was a huge selection to choose from and the music taste was great :)
Great stuff and nice vintage clothing all the way from the 40s...sidenote: slender sized apparently they didnt eat in the 1940s
Thank you i got majority of things for graduation here!!
Great thrift store for vintage finds and band tees. Prices can be high sometimes, but are usually fair. Great place to find curated thrift stuff
Really awesome vintage pieces. Its a big space with a range of items. I found some really interesting pieces at great prices. Impressive selection. Amazing.
Great prices, chill service, nice selection of clothes.
Brought my friend crystal here and she loved everything !!!!
Super cool finds! definitely drop by here if you’re looking for some unique clothes
Its a bit expensive for a resale shop, but they usually have nice clothes. I got one of my favorite jackets here. Definitely worth checking out.
The people who work here are so friendly and super helpful. They have a huge selection of clothing for affordable prices. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.
The GM, Courtney, is just a fabulous person!!!
I called to see if they were selling and the young lady was SUPER Cheerful over the phone. Loaded up the car, and baby and headed across town in the rain to get there. When I arrive no one greets me. Definitely NOT stroller friendly. When I ask about selling the manager then tells me I can not sell because I dont have a valid driver license DURING A PANDEMIC AND THE DMV IS CLOSED. Michaela was the manger I spoke with. Very disappointed in my experience here. Will not be returning. It would have been helpful to state that over the phone and I wouldnt have waste time, gas, and money. This post is strictly on the selling aspect of this business.
Couple rude people, asked my sister if she could put her mask on and she did and the girl who worked here proceeded to give her a very demeaning look.
Cool and hip place! They always have interesting stuff.
