Solid game shop. Staff was helpful and seemed honest. Selection was good and prices were fair. I played a MTG prerelease here and had a good experience. Only subtracted a star for the bathroom cleanliness.

Save some money and just buy from scalpers on the internet. They regularly charge well over MSRP for newly released products. $150 for a set of V Union Boxes.

I went here as a High Schooler nearly 20 years ago (03-05). I moved back recently and was thrilled to see it still there, in the same spot. Brought my 5 year old in with me and fed his Yugioh obsession a little. Im sure hell beg me to go back soon enough.

This was a great place and I was able to get everything I wanted we got our meta zoo cards and then the next day we came back and got so much more they have awesome prices and the environment is awesome would definitely make this a go to place

I cant speak for the experience of others but I would take these negative reviews with a grain of salt. They do have a way of doing things and their own system of inventory that you might have to get used to but it is nothing out of the ordinary for a game store. They have fair buylist prices and a good selection of products. They are decent people and are trying to make a living just like everyone else. If you need something related to Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh or any other card game this is the best spot on Houston.

Idk very mixed about this place. I come down on business every month or so and they have a great selection, but I always feel rushed out and never get a chance to actually look at what they have! A little customer service would take this place to 5 stars!

First two times going in I had a good experience. I feel sorry for the bad reviews as the employee who helped me was very helpful and dealt with all my questions with ease. You can pay in store or online. The singles in the back I believe require you to order online but otherwise not a issue. With all the cards I received good pulls! Very satisfied and will probably have this as my main place to buy cards. As far as pricing it varies. Decks and newer release boxes seem priced correctly. Booster and other stuff fluctuates depending on the market. So in some cases it is overpriced If you compare to a big box who wont adjust based on market. Otherwise you will find what you are looking for here and probably in stock.

As a new cash customer, I paid nearly what a scalper charges for a booster box. Honestly wasn’t worth the drive. Plenty of them close by lol.

Got all resealed booster packs don’t recomend go to your local target and buy some there instead if you want something else like dice or mats go here but other than that don’t bother.

From my experiences, this shop is fair and nice. A lot of people bad mouth for their prices but you cant stay in business by selling at MSRP unless youre dealing in numbers like a big box store and I dont think people realize this. I consider this a specialty store so I dont mind paying a little extra for something I cant find on other stores or dont want to wait for a mailing. I love that they buy cards and pay good prices if you have something desirable but the single binders are where its at anyway, you can always find a hidden gem.... Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, MTG. Will continue patronizing this establishment!

Terrible customer service! Went there with my wife and we both felt this extremely condescending tone every time we asked the guy a question about yu-gi-oh or pokemon. The guy had a “just get what you need and get out” attitude. Its a shame because I was very excited to spend some money when I walked in, but my wife felt so uncomfortable that she just wanted to leave.

Great spacious place to play a variety of tabletop and trading card games.

If you look this store up online, it definitely has a reputation. I cant verify or exonerate them, because my experiences with the store are limited. I am not one to play at the store, nor am I someone that does business with them online.If I am at strike zone, its because Im getting an order that was set for in-store pickup. They definitely have the best selection of cards in Houston, and usually at better prices that stores like card kingdom or star city games. Everything being equal, is rather buy the cards here and be able to inspect before taking them home.I have had some problems with card condition. Theyll list a card at near mint but give you something thats damaged, but they were quick to replace them so Ill give the the benefit of the doubt.Apart from singles, they have a bunch of accessories like sleeves and binders, and they constantly have booster packs for sale from older sets.Like I said, the contact I have with the store is very limited, but I dont remember having a bad experience while here.

Come here if you wana pay double of retail for pokemon products also the owner pays people to buy out stores for him he pays scalpers and then resells pokemon products at a higher price. Idk about you but i dont want to do business with shallow people like this that dont even enjoy the game

Great selection and the mtg card binders are one of the highlights of visiting. I always walk out with more cards than I originally intended to get. Being able to look at their inventory and order my cards on their website is a definitely a plus. Its definitely worth checking out.

Its the only place I could find old Pokémon stuff like golden cards and plush toys. Awesome place to start if you are a collector.

This is the only place in Houston that over 90% of the time you will find what youre looking for online or in personWhat makes them great is there stock on hand the customer service is goodBut their strength is the amount of assorted types gaming cards they have even the old school ones suggest you visit in person or online

Ebay prices for Pokemon products. Essentially youre paying the scalper prices rather than retail MSRP for current Pokemon products. Makes me wonder if they are the ones buying up all the products in the area just to resell at extremely high prices.

Clean, timely, great mtg crowd. Draft and modern run on tight schedules. Im returning to mtg after 18 yrs... and they were friendly and welcoming as were other players.

Worst place ever. I had to practically force one of the kids playing video games to help me spend my money. Then he tells me to order everything on the website and choose in-store pickup. I was like, whats the point of a store, just have a website. Then after spending 20 minutes shopping on my phone on their Horrible website!!! The kid tells me it will be ready in 30 minutes. I mean what the heck. I would have bought tripple the stuff it was a real store with real customer service. This kid sat back down and played his game like 10 times while I was there(I had to ask a lot of questions about stuff right in front of me and how to add it on the website) and even seemed annoyed that I was bothering him.

Let me start by saying I have three sons. Their ages are 15, 11 and 10. The people at StrikeZone took time to explain their answers,in detail, every question they had. They gave examples and even tutored them on the card game they were interested in at the time. Anyone having to answer the questions of a 10 yr old knows how taxing this can be...They were fantastic with my kids. I greatly appreciate their candor. Special thanks to Christian for his patience and kindness.

Huge selection. Much bigger that it looks from the outside. Feels like a tabletop gaming den, very legit. No Gunpla, my only minor gripe.

Ordered a Blightsteel Colossus from their online store. Card was listed as NM/M. Card arrived 4 days after placing the order (that includes a Sunday). Card arrived in two bubble mailers and inside the bubble mailers, the card was protected by a top loader and two soft sleeves. Extremely good packaging and protection. The card itself only had one small flaw (a very small bubbling in the bottom left of the face of the card). The rest of the card was flawless. Definitely NM/M. For what I paid for the card, I had very high expectations, and they met every single one of them and then some. A+++

DO NOT BUY ANY POKEMON BOOSTER PACKS FROM THIS STORE!!!!THEY WEIGH THE PACKS I took my nephew to buy some packs he got 16 half a booster box of guardians rising and not even one gx or nothing. Its shameful that a store will do this. This is why the community of card games dont grow with greedy people like this.

I went the other day and I love this card shop. Very friendly staff and bargain prices. This is now my favorite shop.

Huge issue with 2 things:1. went in on a Sunday and was immediately aware of a nasty smell. Their trash was overflowing on to the floor.2. There is a surcharge to have their employees look for product (cards) $3.00.This is unacceptable and im not going back.

I visit thIan place frequently but I have to admit their pricing is a bit off. Some cards are overpriced, but its a grate place. I havent heard any causing and the employees are wonderful. I would say that this place Ian suitable for children and the people there are nice. Just watch out dorm those who are trying room rupture you off. There are a handful of people who will do this to your children. There this obey Asian guy who will walk around and offer yout a dollar for a card that is worth $5 also theres a black chick who will undervalue you stuff and over price her own
