Great place. Much the same collection as other hobby shops but more comics and also things one would not expect, like paperback novels. Saw a lot I liked, as well as some games from my childhood that took me back. Best variety of posters and miniatures that I have seen and wide variety of TCGs. I highly recommend making a visit.

Large store; great selection of comics and many other collectables. Also, some items such as vintage VHS tapes and paperbacks that you dont often see in this kind of store. Everything is well organized, with special sections for items such as Star Wars merch and collectable card games. Friendly and welcoming staff. You enter for the parking lot from the Southwest Freeway Feeder Road, before passing the building; I missed it the first time, but parking was fine in the end. Want to come back.

This is by far one of my favorite comic shops Ive visited. There is so much to look through/at! They have everything. Obscure comics, action figures, collectibles... My spouse and I had so much fun pouring through everything they had to offer. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!

Vet owned, always friendly staff. Super knowledgeable, always with swapping stories. They have staff picks of the week thatll get you curious about current releases. Staff fun to chat with they also promote local artists.

Parking space is nonexistent, and the lot around the corner will have you towed if you park there to go here. I know its not really the owners fault, but its really inconvenient nonetheless.

Been coming to this place since I was a small child. My mom would bring me in to get a Spawn action figure or Aliens boxed original. They have everything Sci-Fi. Great for kids and also for the avid collector. They have comics, board games, a small magic the gathering and various card games selection. But their pride and joy is their comic selection and uncooked action figures. A collectors wet dream. This place is doing great and will probably be here when I’m dead and gone. Great job guys. Keep it up.

I absolutely love this place. Been coming here for around 20 years now give or take and will continue to come here for my comics because of the environment that exists here. This is truly a place to behold and get lost in. Wheather your new to comics our have been collecting them since you were a kid you are almost certain to find something that strikes your fancy here. Between Nans and Third Planet I always have a place to go and find new and interesting assortments of reading treasures.

Cool store, lots of vintage toys for every kind of collector, and the staff are super cool and friendly and wont follow you down every aisle.

Staff was friendly, asked after me and informed me I could ask them anything. I really enjoy the variety of comics and trades. More than just books they have toys, pins and other collectibles. Very enjoyable experience. Just know when it comes to parking it’s the driveway right before the building.

What a fantastic shop! I really appreciate the staff as they give great advice and are very knowledgeable. Im pretty much a complete beginner with comics and as the selection is huge, I asked the guy working there for some advice. He helped me in an excellent way. Not only were his selections spot on (I loved reading them), he also showed me several other graphic novels to look at the art and gauge my taste a bit. Ive bought a collection of older X-Men comics and Coward - Criminal that day and I loved every second of it.Went back two weeks later and I got again the same excellent treatment. When one graphic novel was sold out, the staff helped me with a special order.Yeah, there are other comic book stores around town, but for me, I will only be coming back here as it makes me feel Im in a different place. Especially in this pandemic, it was such a great relief from the every day boredom.

The minute you’re in need of satisfying you’re geeky side, come here and they’ll help you find what you need.I’ve been greeted and treated super well every single time I’ve stopped by, and just in casual conversation I heard that they’ve been veteran owned and operated for 45 years (which explains the fantastic service).I was also really impressed by their Disney memorabilia section and just the sheer amount of Funko pops I could choose from.

Always friendly staff and an incredible selection of new and vintage comics, graphic novels, collectibles, DnD, manga, and more. Parking is tight so if youre in a big truck consider parking around the corner and walking.

Third Planet is a very extraordinary place visit. Before Ill always past the building going down 59 and it always got my attention, till one day i stop to see. I was amazed of what i saw that i spent a good amount of time expect everything. To conclude this place has almost everything a comic lover can dream.

These guys have really bad customer service. They arent respectful of the health of their customers. There are places in town that offer the same products for less and arent rude to their customers.

Good selection of comics but limited on other areas, not to mention they’ve hung up on me twice when I called.

An absolutely amazing selection of nerdy goods. Very wide selection and some VERY hard to find goods. Their collection is always changing and stopping in as a nerd visiting houston is a must. Theyve got models, figures, books, comics, miniatures, movies, etc.

A visit to an old stomping ground. It has been many years since I have been here. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but once I figured out where everything was it was enjoyable. They have a great staff that is knowledgeable and is eager to help you find what you are looking for. They have an amazing inventory. Give them a visit. It is fun to browse their store.

Good selection of tabletop and board games and SciFi and comic books. Nice staff who will help you out if you are looking for something specific. We came on Free comic book day and star wars day and they had something going on for both events. The woman dressed like an ewok helped us pick out a new board game. She was very helpful by explaining what the games were.

Very friendly staff. Went in looking for Funko Pops to collect and spent two hours talking to another customer and the lady who works there about an assortment of topics. Their collection is vast of collectibles and vintage comics as well as a place for local authors to promote their works.

A vestige of old Houston that needs to kick it. The crumbling blue building is literally a storage unit that the curmudgeon of an owner keeps open because it costs him nothing to do so. Hes ambivalent about your patronage because the freeway-fronting land is his, a property he bought years ago for peanuts that is now worth millions. When you buy something here its pure profit, and the markup will be absurd because theres no reason to be competitive. And yes, he defers maintenance on the building because the building itself is worthless and the inventory was paid for decades ago. He needs something to do during the day, and power tripping at his storage unit is what he has chosen.

Bought a pokemon elite trainer box. All the packs were cut and resealed, unreal that they uncharge on resealed product. Most packs had clear cuts and poor glue, one pack was missing a holo completely. Will never buy from here again, dishonest practice.

The biggest inventory of collectible toys cards and memorabilia I have ever seen in my life. I was in awe of exactly how much stuff they had. Brought back a lot of memories. If youre looking for a hard to get collectible toy or action figured this is the place to go.

WOW a great selection of comics and collectibles. Parking is only on the side of the building. This was our 2nd visit and this time Larry followed us around the store for our entire visit not to help but to ensure we were not stealing. It was sooooooo blatant. Ridiculous! It made us feel uncomfortable. We made our purchase anyway but will not return. My first review was 5 stars.

They have any comic you can think of the staff is very nice prices are very good and sleeves are 25 cents

They have a TON of great stuff. Some over priced some under. My only issue is that while I was browsing some old guy was basically following me around the store like I was going to steal something.. seriously??? Thats what cameras are for.

Love coming here for comics and collectibles. The owner is awesome and a very nice guy. They always have great deals going on for issues and books.

This is what all comic book stores should feel like. Bins and bins of comics, a wall of all the new releases, and a display case of collectibles. You mix all that together and put it in a charmingly old building staffed by a polite group of people that look like theyre ready to debate you on all things nerd and youve got 3rd Planet.

The Third Plant is the best comic book store in Houston. I come here for everyone of my comic book related needs, trading card needs, and gaming need. Ive always had a wonderful experience every time I come here. The girl with the Australian accent was very was warm and very friendly. I always end up finding exactly what Im looking for at the store. The other employees at the store are always very helpful and always find a way to make sure that I find what Im looking for. Really cool little spot if your into comics, action figures, D&D, manga, old stuff, retro stuff, books, sci-fi nerdy stuff, etc. They have a lot to look through so definitely dont be in a hurry. Toys galore! Comics out the wa-zu! Nerd haven.About the only pick I have with this place is the comics need to be better organized. Marvel-DC-Image-OtherInstead they are all grouped together and kinda hard to pick through. You can do it but just takes a while. Dont let that stop you from checking it out though.

Only problem with the store is parking, but there are plenty of parking spaces once you find it. The store has a number of comics and great merchandise. Merchandise ranging from Marvel and DC characters to beautiful priceless Disney merch! One day, I will be able to buy that Mickey Mouse! One day...

Such a cute little store! They have gacha machines in the lobby and that was fun too. I wasnt able to stay long cause I got there so late. They have a LOT of comics and stuff. Their dnd section is nice, so many pathfinder booklets and for so many other systems as well! I didnt have time to look around, but I would definately go again.

I really like this comic book shop. I like their variety on toys plus their back issue comics collection is great. As far as prices go, they could be better but they arent too bad. It would be nice if they had special sale events more often. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive
