Ken stayed open during the winter storm. He knew the storm was coming and spent the night in the store so he would not have to drive through the ice and be able to remain open the following day. And although he lost power he took out his calculator and proceeded to make sales for people able to make cash payment. I walked to his store the day after the storm to purchase wood and coal, and I was short a couple of dollars. Ken did not hesitate to let me just take the supplies I needed. And that is what HOUSTON STRONG is all about. Much love to him, his family and his business. A staple to the woodland heights community for sure.
A staple of the neighborhood and a wonderful family who run the place. The man and woman are always friendly and carry a conversation.
Great selection for a neighborhood convenience store. Especially the brown eggs.
Glad they were open after Harvey. Close by and friendly.
