The best cakes in Houston! The Buttercream with pineapple filling is our favorite. We actually thought the Italian Cream was the best until we tried the pineapple. You will not be disappointed with the quality and taste!

Somehow Ive missed this gem in all my years of living on this side of town. Stopped by today to pick up a dessert for my parents anniversary. I got the tea cakes and a pineapple cake... Tea cakes are the BEST... and that cake... OMG, so soft and light... Not too sweet, it was perfection. Definitely will be visiting again! Must spread the news about this local bakery.

Always fantastic. Family owned business. So they put all that love into the food. Cakes and pecan pie and banana pudding are standouts.

Everything made in this kitchen came directly from heaven and the angels are the ones that greet you when you pick up your order. Seriously, our office has been getting cakes, cookies, etc. from here for YEARS. Everything is always delicious. The ladies in front are always very nice and helpful.

One of the best cake shop on the northeast side of town. Every other Friday, its beautify time! And thats when I have to sneek-a-peek next door to A & K Cakes, which includes cakes of course. And single size pies, banana pudding, peach cobblers, single sliced cakes. And cakes made to order. The staff is great!

Well known and satisfying cake shop with an incredible assortment of treats! I would start off with the tea cakes if youve never been here before. In addition, the team is extremely kind and the customer service is authentic. My scheduled cake order wasnt ready but they threw in a some tea cakes for the wait! Cant praise this place enough. It is truly a beacon of goodness in Houston.

I’ve been looking for Real Tea Cakes and these arenothing but thin, burnt flat sugar cookies. And waaaaay to sweet, nothing like a Tea Cake so if you like Sugar cookies you should be fine but the women are very nice .

My co-worker introduced me to their pineapple upside down cake. I am not a fan of cakes with fruit in them, but I gave it a try because of how she bragged on it. If I tell you all this was the best cake! It reminded me of the cake my Mom use to make for my Dad for the holidays. Loved it!

I have been going to this awesome and very decadent bakery for over 10 years!! I love it!! I send many other people there because you cant beat the prices, for some melt in your mouth cake and desserts!! This place is my weakness!! But its worth the cheat day!! The cake was good. A little dry, though. It didnt taste as good as a cake I tasted there before. I dont like bitter frosting. The colored frosting needs to be flavored.

The cakes and Tea are delicious, but their service sucks. I once loved this bakery, but refuse to pay for poor service. Their service has declined over time. They should consider putting a system in place for costumers when they arrive, possibly speaking to or acknowledging costumers as they enter, getting the orders correct when you call in the order would be a good idea, the man that is working in the bakery is rude and the full figured sister always acts as if you are doing her a favor by entering the bakery and the short woman was the only one that was courteous but that has changed. My last visit I just decided not purchased anything and left. Hope the service gets better, but until then i have can get my sugar fix from another bakery.

A&K has the best cakes hands down. Or at least I thought for the last 20 years of going there. That is until yesterday. I ordered a cake for family and friends, and it was very dry. In all of my 20 years of ordering cakes, Ive never had a dry one. Its always been delicious and moist. I guess maybe they have new bakers. So now I have all of this leftover cake because no one wanted to take any home.
