Thank you so much to the new store manger. The food came out fresh and everyone was very kind and friendly. The food is worth it and I advice people to try the bread sampler tray it’s a secret menu item that I always get. The biscuits and gravy was the only thing that wasn’t the best anymore. My chicken was a bit dry and the gravy was cold. Just recommend them to cook it fresh cause I was a little disappointed about that but other than 4 stars across the bored.
At their Westheimer location yesterday the service was real bad . They were busy and ladies and the guy works at the register and behind the counter were talking two customers at the same time . I also don’t understand why these days they make request to pay tip at the register for a self service place. How can they expect to pay any tip when their service is slower than McDonald’s. Yes quantity of their food is superb but now v few choices . Coffee is also very good and real fresh with perfectly hot temperature.
I had brunch here on a Saturday and it was busy! But luckily I arrived around 10:45 so it wasnt too bad. The wait was only about 15 mins and the nice staff offered us water while we waited outside. The food and pastries were excellent. And service was great. The parking lot dedicated to Common Bond Bistro was clearly marked with signage and they even recommended additional parking elsewhere to help out customers! Just taking 1 star away since I felt there wasnt enough umbrella shades for the patio tables.
It is a shame that what was one of the top breakfast locals in town has dropped in quality and care. Ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were baked yesterday, dry and cold. Gravy was also cold. My wife had avocado toast. As can be evidenced in the picture, the avocado was almost absent. Very disappointing!!!
The food is fantastic. But dont bother with curbside, and dont expect amazing customer service. There hasnt been a time of day that Ive gone and actually gotten my order time or had to call just once. Most recently, I waited 20 min and called 3 times after the pick up time listed on the receipt before I finally got my order - I could see my bag sitting on the table for most of that wait.If youre in a hurry or just generally expecting your food on time and cant go into the restaurant, this isnt the place for you.
Went here for lunch and I ordered the shrimp and grits. Geeeeeeezus! So buttery and savory, shrimp was also seasoned to perfection. The roasted cherry tomatoes do an excellent job cutting through the gravy, so good.My gal had the tarragon chicken salad sandwich, definitely a different taste from what we are used to, I would order again. Served on a buttery croissant, makes for a perfect lunch. The coffee is also worth the trip, we had a Cortado to get started, so flavorful and robust, great creme. Silky smooth. So I would have ordered some pastries if I wasn’t to full, however I did get some photos to share with everyone. Will definitely come back again!!
Food is decent... its overpriced for what it is. Service absolutely sucks... food doesnt come out at the same time and youll probably have to go up and get your own food because its taking that long. Youll also have to get up to get your own silverware, which is fine because they have it accessible, but its not stocked, so youll have to ask for it. Disappointing and waste of money
I LOVE this place. I’ve dined in at this location and placed multiple orders to go. Each time was a pleasant experience. Today I picked up a Valentine’s Day cake. It was so cute, and tasted delicious. Shout out to Lee for excellent customer service and getting my custom cake. It came in a nice box and was secure driving home.
We had been wanting to make some time and have brunch here for a while and finally got the opportunity to. We were a bit disappointed with the wait, but with the way things have changed its understandable I suppose.Food was great! And the pastry selection did not disappoint either. I dont know much about coffee, but it wasnt bad in my opinion. Chic, hip spot.
4.5 stars! Excellent pastries that pair very well with tea and coffee. Kept cold, so you may want to warm them up at work or home. The Tiramisu macaron works surprisingly well despite the cold. The Spiced Pear and Earl Grey Scone was the winner -- the tea and pear are both subtle flavorings that complement each other, adding just the right amount of zest needed to a soft, frosted scone. Cant wait to warm it up!
I love this place! I had been eyeing their cute patio for about a year and I finally made a stop for a quick breakfast. Everything was delicious and filling, decently priced too.I loved all their pastry lineup! I ordered the yogurt bowl and avocado toast! The espresso and craft drink menu did not have many options other than standard coffeehouse beverages. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well. However the parking lot can get full quite quick but there is street parking available as well.
Always super busy on the weekends but definitely worth it! Delicious pastries and coffee! Parking is the only downside because the parking lot is always full as there are other businesses in that same plaza. However, it’s definitely worth trying to find parking to try this place out! I love coffee shops that aren’t chain ones more and this one gets a huge thumbs up.
Very quick service. The place follows covid 19 safety regulations in a proper manner. Place seems clean and properly tended.A great variety of food is offered, and although tasty a bit overpriced for me since I’m not particular to any “scene” that could compel me to visit this place as a compelling factor. They had outside seating, which was great, just not worth 60 bucks for a 2 person breakfast.
Did curbside and it did not disappoint. I normally like sitting in when I do a review but this spot deserves a great review. I ordered 2 lavender lattes, a limoncello maroon and 1 grilled cheese. 1st the lavender latte was super delicious but as other reviewers have said if you dont like a strong lavender taste dont order it. I love lavender so this was PERFECT. The texture and taste of the maroon was also delicious. Ok so parking and the grill cheese is why it get a 4 not 5 but parking is just a problem in this area entirely. The grilled cheese was delicious but had a funny smell. Not sure if it was because of the type ofcheese or the grill. Not sure but the smell did not reflect the taste at all. Curbside was quick, easy and friendly. Sooo, overall this spot definitely deserves a pat on the back for a job well done.
We stopped by while in the area and I am so happy we did. We arrived shortly after 5 pm on a Saturday, and while there wasnt a line, it did get very crowded about 30 minutes after we arrived.I ordered the French dip, which is not my typical thing to eat, and a glass of the Alexander Valley red blend wine. The wine seemed to take forever to make its way to my table, but it was perfect once it did! The French dip did not disappoint ... loaded with roast beef, mushrooms, onions, & a fantastic dijon horseradish sauce, on a crusty baguette (which was perfection with the au jus to dip it in).Hubby got the charcuterie baguette but he substituted some of the meat. He also ordered a side of mac n cheese because he cannot go anywhere without trying it.This is a cozy place, and they do have outdoor seating. We enjoyed it and we will be back for sure.
Tried the Steak Frites and Pappardelle Pasta. Pasta had great taste but steak was not appealing to my taste buds. The thin string fries were unique and good tasting but covered 3/4 of my plate. Preparation and presentation of the plates were excellent. Iced Coffee and Chai latte were delicious. I will come back to try the breakfast.
I’m so late to the game but this is by far the best brunch I’ve had in a long long time and that’s not only because of the pandemic! The food was surprisingly delicious considering the low costs. I would have expected to pay more for the quality but just as happy not to. Less that $100 for three people before our second round of drinks. The staff was pleasant, even during the rush period. The food is so good, even the customers were patient with one another. Go figure. Definitely a new go to for Sunday brunch!
***WARNING***This place is filled with flies and the crew is used to it when you ask the staff about it (black lady with mushroom earings and mexican lady who picks up everything with her gloves she wore since idk maybe clocked in at work she said they don’t serve the one in the counter which is suspicious because l was there last night and we were serve the last remaining pastry by the same counter) they just shrug their shoulders like the flies are part of the decor of the pastry. Used to go here a lot when I’m in Houston.Cost: ****Food: ***Service: *Cleanliness: *Ambiance: ***Would you recommend it: no
I love this place. The desserts are amazing...I decided to order a cup of chili and wow. It was very greasy but the three small spoons I had were well flavored. I could not go beyond three spoons because all that grease would have killed me. It came in that little bowl to the left but I thought it would be best to transfer it into the plate...it was more of a dump because the cheese formed this unpenetratable bond and would not let go of the chili. I tried to cut it but it refused to release its chili captive...so I just gave up and covered the atrocity with a napkin. On a side note, the staff should cheer up. I know things look grim but a positive attitude about where you work goes a long way in making more money for yourself and the people you work with.I gave it a three star because the deserts there are very good...as you can see the two little pink macaroons in the background...one of those little droplets from heaven helped me forget all about my chili trauma...that is until I wrote this post.
Love this place. Amazing pastries and bakery and cafe. Usually a regular on this list and highly recommend for pretty much any coffee, bread or dessert selection. They also have food and drinks so if you don’t want the baked goods or coffee you can always opt for other food.Friendly staff and great service. Lot of parking as well which helps
Finally found good coffee and a great bakerye. Loved that place! The staff was very nice too. Only issue, I had cash and they only accept cards.
Great experience ordering a special birthday cake. The birthday guy is a hunter, so the design of the cake speaks for itself. The catering director who responded to my initial inquiry was super detailed oriented, fast to respond, offered and suggested many different options, and just overall was extremely professional and friendly! The design of the cake turned out to be more exciting that what I had expected. When I went to pick up the cake, the pastry chef came out to give me some extra advice to make sure I don’t ruin (transporting and storing) the cake before the birthday guy can see it. You can tell how much she cared about what she does for the clients. And the cake was piece of art! I don’t know how much time they spent on it, but attention to detail and painting job were truly impressive! It tasted great, too! Well worth of what I paid for it! I highly recommend this place for the special surprise cakes you may need to make your events memorable and special!
Listen here people of Google reviews. Ive had a lot of cold brew in my day, theres always a balance to be drawn for a full but not over extracted cold brew, one thats difficult to nail down.On price, common bond has okay prices on coffee, nothing extortionate. But its very hard to find a cute boutique-esque place with a good cold brew but this is it. This is a good cold brew. The gold standard. No flares, no bells or whistles. Just a good coffee.
Clean and bright bakery with one of the best selections of pastries in town. The pistachio croissants were so visually enticing that I had to try it. Pretty good but I think next time Ill try something else :) plenty of parking in the lot. Great place for coffee. If you sit outside, be ready to enjoy your coffee to the tune of the honking cars passing by :) but its a great place to people-watch as well.
I’m actually a bit disappointed. I loved how fresh everything was. I loved the care that goes into making everything. You can tell it doesn’t taste like it’s just frozen stuff they toss out every morning. The space is beautiful, the layout a little odd, the windows and space have a wonderful feeling to it. The flavors, they mixed together didn’t seem to blend very well. We got the rose and strawberry one, the Black Forest cheesecake, and I know the last one had passion fruit and chocolate and a pistachio sponge cake it was sitting on.The rose was so over powering I only ate a bite of it. If you -like rose- you will love it, if it’s just an interesting try pass it up.The Black Forest cheesecake was so sweet the cherries where a saving grace with the tartness, but they all fell to the bottom of the cheesecake.I’ve got nothing but confusion for that last one. So many flavors and it was soft on soft.
This has been my favorite place since it opened; I have been here so many times, with family from out of town, with coworkers, by myself, but today definitely was a mistake to come here, ordered as usual, NEVER got my mimosa, something so simple asked 3 different people including the “manager “, so after printing out my receipt ( I guess they thought I didn’t pay for it) 28 minutes have been gone by this time and after hearing excuses, I decided I didn’t want it any more, hope they get better at costumer service, the food is still good, I will stick to my usual backstreet cafe best service ever.
Cozy and eclectic spot in the Montrose district. Great assortment of breads, pastries, and desserts. Favorite pastry is the morning bun. Simply mouth watering😋!! Main dishes here are outstanding and tasty. Shrimp and grits were very flavorful. Wife had the French Toast and bacon which was also very good. Ill definitely be back to try additional menu items 😊.
Nashville hot chicken and French dip are both epic sandwiches. The flat breads are thin, crispy perfection. No excess dough here, just the bare minimum to carry the awesome fresh ingredients. The pastries, just everything is excellent. Nothing more.
Totally ignored by three employees even though I was the only one at the counter. Had to go to the cashier to place my order then one of the employees who had ignored me looked annoyed when had to fill my order. Avoid this location at all costs. The one on Holcombe is better and people are friendly and happy.
I’ve been here a few times for great coffee, pastries and environment. Today was my first time eating real food. Had the molasses glazed salmon and it’s quite good. Love the okra. Even though all the vegetables were a bit too buttery for my taste, they were cooked nicely. The jam on top of the salmon is great too. Do yourself a favor and order a side of sourdough bread for $1.89. It’s so tasty
Excellent coffee, good alternative milk options. It gets super busy on Sundays due to the lil market across the street, so it can be quite loud, but its cute inside. We ordered chai, latte, plain croissant, and blueberry muffin. All were delicious, the muffin was surprisingly sweet, but still so yummy :)
Imagine being hosed with water as you are about to dig into to $93 plus breakfast eggs (party of 4.) Youre cappuccinos served in the smallest cups youve ever seen, the avocado toast impossible to eat served on 3 untoasted bread---all trashed. Your hair soaked. Your husbands shirt sopped. Water sprayed over every plate and in every cup---dosed with water from an unknown source. Did the manager address your shaking distress? NO. Too busy raking in dough for these grossly overpriced eggs. I knew how abysmal and inappropriate the response was to 4 patrons trauma who are standing up wet and wondering in the year of the pandemic. Yes, they redid our order. But commerce trumps common sense at the Common Bond where common courtesy is absent. The manager ignored us without apology and the staff was resentful when my husband requested a cappuccino to replace his coffee.
Their pastries are amazing, however they do not take cash. I find this very 1984 and disappointing. I walked from wDallaa all the way here to be turned down service. Not cool.
We were excited to visit here for a first time as the food looks amazing but the front of house is really badly organised, had us waiting 30+ minutes with no suggestion about time for a table, came through line where we were told the line would have to pause were we were, which we were fine with as it was busy, and when we finally got to the ordering area we were told it was take out only and they wouldnt give us any insight about why a table wouldnt be available. Basically, looks great but definitely dont go when its busy. Unfortunately we wont go back.
Great place to start your day with a fresh croissant and a cup of coffee. They have an impressive selection of croissants, macarons and cakes. Service is great and also the coffee. If you go early, you can enjoy the sunrise on the small patio or trough the big windows while enjoying your sweet breakfast!!
The food is always so good here. We got several different things - all excellent. You order in line but all workers were extremely polite.
They had the most gorgeous, creative delectable treats, almost too pretty to eat! Sparkly glittery unicorn cakes, rows of colorful macaroons and multiple flavors of flakey buttery croissants are just a few of the choices that are lit up and greet you from behind a long display of glass. Be prepared to wait in line if you go during the busy times, but this is one place that is worth the wait. Nice place to meet a friend for coffee, again, if it is during their busy times you might have to wait for a table since the place is not huge and there are only so many tables. Great friendly Texas service!
Their quality is as close to perfection as you can get. Every dish, every pastry and caffeinated drink is top notch. I used to visit Common Bond in the past and have had some good memories here. Nothing has changed infact they have improved in certain areas with respect to customer service and even an additional parking lot about a block away. I can’t say enough good things about this Bistro/Bakery. Pics included.
Common Bond is a great neighborhood café with a huge selection of drinks, pastries, desserts, and food. The staff is extremely friendly and the space is large enough to meet with a group. I look forward to returning.
My husband were visiting Spring and searched for a peaceful lunch restaurant that offers outdoor seating. We had the Shrimp & Grits and Tamale Benedict. The blackened shrimp with Creole sauce, sprouts, and greens were a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. The Tamale Benedict is a fresh twist on a traditional menu item. Fantastic variety of pantries and a well-balanced House roast. Lovely atmosphere for a brunch date with friends or family and outstanding service !
The customer service is very poor. I ordered an Americano and asked for a packet of brown sugar. The cashier said that theres a condiment stand where I could help myself which was totally fine. After I seated myself I was served an Americano in an ugly, diner-like mug, and without a spoon. I get up to the condiment stand and take a packet of brown sugar but notice there are no stirring sticks or spoons. I approach the barista station and politely ask for a spoon. I get no response and one of the employees slowly walks over to the kitchen and hands it over to me while glaring at me as if I asked her for something crazy. Her disgruntled facial expressions were unsettling. The Americano tasted like instant coffee. I took a sip and thats it - as it was undrinkable. There are several great coffee shops in the area. Cant speak for the desserts - might be nice but definitely avoid getting coffee/espresso drinks here.
Overall a good experience except for the coffee bar. The bald hispanic guy was extremely rude to my wife and I, complete a-hole.Good experience before that guy ruined it. Friendly servers, great selection of pastries, nice vibe.Should probably consider getting real baristas instead random people taught to click buttons on an espresso machine. Gonna take the extra drive, but would rather go to the other location than come here again.
Our first lunch experience was less than favorable but we will return for breakfast. Our order was taken correctly but received incorrectly. The fried chicken wasnt bad, but it wasnt anything special. It was a bit on the oily side. Do not order the parmesan fries as they have ZERO flavor. The dry crumbles of white and green do nothing but dress up the fries. The burgers werent dry but they were not very juicy either. The quiche was the only dish without any negative issues. The mocha was definitely too sweet, as if we were drinking sugar. Common Bond is in desperate need of space. It is very tight to enter/exit and the seating arrangement. I will update once we have explored breakfast.
They have a wide selection of pastries breads and breakfast foods, the sandwiches the grits and such. The pastries and coffee we tried were really good. The best part for me was it’s dog friendly and it helped that I didn’t have to leave my 4 legged friend home. There were other dogs he mingled and had a good time with.Really recommend the cappuccino that I tried.Would definitely be back.Edit : Vanilla lattes amazing, kouign amman my best pastry there.
Cool ambience. Good service. Really good coffee and a plethora of dessert options to choose from.I havent had a chance to try their food yet but given the menu choices and the descriptions I am certainly interested.Hopefully I can try and post more soon 🙂
My wife and I visited this location on New Year’s Day 2020. I chose this spot based on the excellent google reviews only. On arrival, there was a fairly long queue. It took us about 20-30minutes just to get in. I thought that was a good sign that the food was top of the line.On getting in, we placed our order which included 2 pieces of their buttery croissant. The croissants were excellent! Our main orders however didn’t go well at all. Firstly it took unusually long for our orders to arrive. Long enough that we were given a complimentary piece of chocolate cake which looked absolutely delectable.Secondly, when the main orders arrived (my wife and I ordered the same thing), we didn’t like it at all. I have deliberately decided not to name what we ordered so as not to skew your perception unfavorably towards this dish. I’m of the opinion that the fact that my wife and I not liking this dish is more indicative of the idiosyncrasies of our taste buds than the prowess of the kitchen staff.Despite this confluence of unfortunate events, I’m giving them a 5 star rating because of their customer service. We promptly lodged our complaints with a member of staff, who rightly reported our displeasure to the manager, Claudette. She came by immediately and apologized to us. She was also gracious enough to grant us a full refund and a $10 gift card.EDIT: We went there the next week and totally enjoyed what we ordered this time! We had the French toast with bacon and a common bond burger.
First off I have never been to Common Bond before.I walk in and asked a million questions about the different pastries and the extremely friendly and helpful woman working the front counter could not have been any friendlier or patient. The pastries and bread are absolutely amazing I cannot wait to go back and try more things. I will be honest the entrees are a little pricey and simple but good. I really enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich but for $13 and no sides it was probably more than I would pay again. The chicken sandwich that a few people ordered ahead of us looked delicious and I cant wait to go back and try it. I dont think you can go wrong with any of the pastries or desserts
We ordered a couple of espresso-based drinks both of which were the weakest we have had. The americano tasted like Nespresso instant coffee. A latte was pure milk and sugar despite saying to decrease both. The coffee beans they use are stale and poorly roasted. You get better coffee at a sketchy diner. Save your money and go elsewhere.
When you walk in you have to order your food first then sit down with your order number and they bring the food to you. So if it is your first time going here take your then order. There is a lot of variety from sweet to salty! Coffee is great here as well. I had their flatbread pizza and it was delicious!! Definitely enough for one person even though it might look big it is light and doesn’t leave you too full. Great view and great variety in food as well as flavor!
I absolutely loved this store. The quality of their desserts and breads is outstanding, the atmosphere is wonderful, coffee is delicious and we really liked their building/ decor. Highly recommend it (try their macarons!!)
I love this cafe! Even tho the parking is limited in the area during rush times (just go during the week in the afternoons after 5, it’s not so busy) and the cafe is small, it’s worth making the trip. The food on the menu is so yummy and definitely leave room for dessert! I prefer the bread over the little speciality desserts. They are pretty to look at, but in my opinion they are okay in flavor. Try all the bread tho. Yum yum. And the coffee! So good as well.
Went for brunch and it was delicious. Macarons were great biscuits were amazing. Need some cover for outside.
I absolutely loved this place. I ordered a Tomato Basil Soup, that was so delicious. I sticky bun that I took home which was yummy! Had a cappuccino and it was warming, and too good words cant describe. I cant wait to come back and try some more stuff. Also, the atmosphere was wonderful.
Their chocolate chip walnut cookies are the best (after Levain). Worth the $4.50 🤣.The Lox toast was decent - not cheap with their portions of salmon! But it could use a little more cream cheese. The jalepeno gravy on the chicken & biscuits 🤩
The French toast is very very good. Not too sweet. The burger is so juicy and flavorful. My favorite dish, though is the brussel sprouts dish. The bacon is cubed but thick and the onions are a little sweet. The brussel sprouts are not overcooked and still crunchy. Its so good. I also had a chocolate chip cookie which was great. Ive been here twice and the service is always impeccable. Theyre fast and very nice. The iced chai latte is also good. Lots of cinnamon. And its a beautiful establishment full of light because of the large windows.
Yummy lunch and great service. Had a small hiccup with my order and they more than made up for up it. We will pop in there for a meal or a delicious pastry again soon.
Insanely rich rail-thin daughters of criminally rich Saudi immigrants ordering massive piles of food which they barely touch and then demanding it be whisked out of their sight and thrown directly into the trash by harried Guatemalan immigrant woman living at the edge of bare survival. A single croissant placed inside a “recycled” takeout container and then placed inside a sturdy paper shopping bag; the combined paper of this one order most likely being comprised of an entire pine tree. Sour-faced couples paralyzed with ennui and privilege bickering with the Guatemalan servants about the presentation of the avocado toast. A delusional, mentally ill Covid protocol. Horrifying Royal decadence and societal decay. Tacky focus-grouped opulence accompanied by a facile kindergarten color scheme. Everyone maskless except for the invisible, faceless servants. A woman wearing an outfit that cost half the yearly salary (or more) of the Mexican woman serving her. Teenage scions of oil executives screaming into 2000$ cellphones and low key abusing the servers. This place is a vapid shiny object existing solely for the tasteless nouveau riche of Houston to throw their their ill-gained money into like a virgin into a volcano.Excellent morning buns and Kugelhopf. Flawless service. Very good coffee. Imperial decline.
Best place for breakfast and dessert in the town! Love their fresh breads and food. I’ve been trying so many different dishes. They were all good and delicious!!!
We ordered the avacado with bacon toast. OMG! It was awesome. The hibiscus mimosa is refreshing and a must try. Common bistro is surely one of the best places to have brunch in Houston. Weekends brunch might get a little busy. The bakery has a lot of options for pastries and crossaints. It is really hard to chose one.
This is my favourite bakery in Houston. The food and their baked goods are amazing. Portions are on the generous side. There is always a line, no matter what time you go, but I dont mind waiting in line. Their patrons are cool people so people watching in this place is always great.
Great bakery with a nice atmosphere and good coffee. I used to rate it a five for the really cool uncommon desserts they had but I think some of the chefs have left cause alot of really great desserts they had regularly they stopped making and now you find more regular items like decorated cakes. None the less I love this place cause its not a typical cupcake shop theyve got fresh pastries made daily, good coffee, and you can also buy some items such as whole coffee cakes and the granola they make.
Croissant was great, pricey but they were large so I was fine with how much they were, but that’s the only thing I can say that was goodThe baguette was hard and I literally heard a crack when trying to take a price offAnd the macarons were dry and crumbly like they were old.I wish I had a better experience.
AFTER NIGHT SHIFT.Breakfast.Coffee. 😍😍😍😍Beef and Grits. 😉😉😉😉Dessert. 😉😉😉😉 (Paris Brest, Black forest cheesecake, Turtle Brownie [preferred])Experience. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Disrespectful to special diets. They did not know how to offer me lactose free food. If you have special diet, stay away from this place. The cashier did not even respect my request. She was very busy serving other costumers. Do not go there!!!!
I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. Thats usually a good sign so I didnt mind the wait. The parking lot is small and divers need to be aware of people coming in through the exit entry. Once my friend and I were inside they take your order. If you dont know what you want you can always go up and order without standing in line again. I ordered an almond croissant, chocolate chip cookie, nutella croissant, an oatmeal cream cookie, biscuits and gravy, and herbal tea. My tea took 15 minutes to arrive after my food had arrived. I had to keep asking the waiters about our drinks. My friend ordered a mimosa and it took about 15 minutes to arrive as well. The pastries were good. The oatmeal cookie was the best. The food portions are very large. You get a lot for your money. I wasnt a fan of the almond croissant, I felt it was dry and needed more almond cream. Overall, I really enjoyed Common Bond. Its a great addition to Montrose.
Seems like everything is delish here! Lox Tartine is to die for! Dont forget to check out their pastries!
Really crowded but good desserts and sandwiches. Vanilla latte is great. The BELT (bacon egg lettuce and tomato) is good. The baguette is too hard for my taste. The croissants are so delicious.
I have always had an amazing experience at Common Bond - the food, the team, the service, the presentation, and the care put in every detail keep me coming back. We dropped by for my birthday yesterday and Joanna and Tristen really made my day. Not only is the food beautiful beyond compare, but every bite is just as tasty as it looks.
I used to love this place a few years ago, their food and coffee was amazing. However, I stopped going here. Now their food is less than mediocre, their service abysmal, and their coffee burned. So sad to see when a great place turns upside down and too commercial.
A unique cafe vibe place. A little small and parking is very limited with only a small amount of seats. The bakery is awesome and the decorated cakes you can order are amazing. The cake decorator does such a great job. The food is delicious as well. Definitely get some bakery treats if you go.
Great little place for breakfast/brunch. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back (maybe not on a Sunday). The food is yummy! The only reasons I couldnt give it 5 stars is their parking is VERY limited (we were lucky we didnt have to street park) and the establishment is small. We beat the rush and were able to sit quickly, but while we were eating the line was out the door. If you can beat the church rush its definitely a great place to eat and sit. If not, you may be better off ordering to-go.
Great coffee, pastries and atmosphere! Always worth a visit when I am in this neighborhood.
