Staff is helpful when trying to decide what donuts and flavors to get. I love that they have a drive-thru and are efficient. Definitely recommend coming here! This donut shop is amazing! I had custom donuts done for my sons first birthday and they did not disappoint. I emailed them a picture of the pajamas my son would be wearing a week before and the donuts they created were fabulous! Taste and appearance, 5 stars!

Yummy! The chocolate eclair was really good. Usually, they are bigger. Im ok with this size. Needed more Bavaria cream. Eclairs are supposed to be heavy in weight. So need to add more.

I went first thing in the morning when they opened and was disappointed. I take my son to get donuts every Friday and we go early to get the best and freshest donuts. This was not the place for us the donuts are made hours before the shop opens and sit all night. Like I said not the place if your looking to stop in early and expecting hot fresh donuts.

Kindest most patient associates ever - Matika is a phenomenal human!!! I have had the donuts many times. They are the best. The reason I am writing this review is because I tried the Kolache’s for the first time. They are beyond the best. Shipley’s and Kolache Factory’s kolaches are good. Kind of became the gold standard. They are pretty much the same. Thought they were good until ROD’s. No comparison. Flakey pastry wrap with awesome, just the right amount of spice, and ample filling. Makes the others taste like a bread roll with a hint of filling. You will never go back once you try these. Beyond the gold standard. Platinum.

This place is perfect for people like me with gluten allergies. Isaac helped me today and he was so kind while I video called my family to and showed them what was available. He also had my other order ready for pickup.

Food was amazing!!! Apple fritter had real fritter pieces! My daughters loved the decorations outside and the crowns!!! Total win

The customer service I received today was horrible! I am beyond disappointed. Both employees kept making faces at each other like I was being an inconvenience to them. I will make sure to tell anyone and everyone I know to NEVER do business with you all. I can’t believe the way I was treated. Take time and hire some staff that actually care!

Went there Sunday morning, the place was packed but the line moved fast and service was friendly and efficient.I got chocolate and cherry glazed donuts with sprinkles, both were OK; generally nothing spectacular or inventive flavor wise; I tried one with Reeses puffs but they were soggy; also bought donut holes, all of them, two of each: the filled holes were very good, specifically the red velvet, others were dry, some even hard.They also offer gluten free options if youre looking for that.Theres a drive thru and some parking places on site.

My favorite local donut place. They have a delicious variety and theyre so fresh. Theyre always busy too so theyll be around for years to come.

This is my third time ordering custom donuts from river oaks and it’s a hit every time! This time I needed baby girl themed and could only give vague ideas because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I was so amazed how great they turned out! So pretty, and the glitter was such a cool touch. Everyone loved them and they tasted so good! They were so nice and patient on the phone when I was trying to describe my ideas and offered their own input which I greatly appreciated. Definitely the place to go if you want to be a little more unique and want custom donuts and get amazing and sweet service!

Drove through here on my way to work and got a super stale kolache. Ate it anyways because I was starving and if I didn’t I wouldn’t eat the whole day. Got the worst food poisoning, never regret a kolache so much in my life.

Maple bacon glazed. Thats it. An entire breakfast in one donut. By far the best donut Ive ever had. With that being said I dont eat many donuts or usually branch out from chocolate or vanilla sprinkled donuts. Regardless, amazing donuts and fantastic service.

Really good fluffy and tasty donuts. Their sprinkle custom donuts are really picture perfect and taste really good. Great local place for donuts. My niece was a big fan of their crown shaped donuts also.

I went today to get a iced latte and gluten free donuts. The donuts per usual were great the latte on the other hand was just bad. My iced late had expresso grounds in it. I asked them to rewrite and it still had grounds. I explained i that its not supposed to have grounds. They said thats their machines fault. I had to ask for a refund after the second one bc the explanation i was given made no sense.

The cream cheese red velvet and cappuccino cream are awesome. I didnt get my receipt and ended up with 2 incorrect kolaches. I walked up to get the correct jalopeno cheese.

I ordered ninja donuts for my sons birthday as a surprise and he was so excited when he saw them. I thought it was a cool presentation and they also tasted very good! I will order more donuts soon for another occasion.

The donuts are the best but you have to go through the obstacle course of the service. If you want prompter service go through the drive through. It would be helpful if the phone number was posted on the door for ordering at the door and if the phone was answered.

Amazing vegan donuts!! They have three kinds of vegan cake donuts, powdered sugar, cinnamon (what I ordered today), and plain glazed cake. They are moist and tasty, my boyfriend had no idea they were vegan. So yummy! If you want a dozen or more of them, definitely place an order the day before though because they bake a certain amount each day. I also got a hazelnut latte and it was amazing! Best donut shop in Houston!!

Love coming here with the family and the different variety of donuts are great. Only wish their customer service was a bit better. The young man who helped us out today did not seem interested in working or serving anyone.

High end doughnuts! I love my doughnuts, and I was really excited about getting their cronuts... However when I got there they were some out, which was my fault for showing up a half hour before close. Pro tip-you can call ahead and reserve an order, I will be doing this next time! I was not a fan of the coffee, tasted burnt to me. The sausage kolache are the best I have had, far better than the standard. The Boston cream had more frosting on it than it needed, the chocolate was over powering. I also tried the oreo cookie peanut butter doughnut... And it was amazing!!! Parking is tight, and there is no room in the store to eat, however they do have a few small tables outside. If you go through the drive through you can bypass the parking problem, and there is a park across the street that is a nice place to enjoy your yummy treats. I will definitely be going back here, cant wait to try the cronut!

Donuts were dry and not very fresh at 8 in the morning. Very disappointed.... will not be going back.... yuck!!!!Tried the Kolache but afraid to eat it because of food temperature safety. This place could make someone very sick.

They are always out of regular sausage kolaches . I cant have cheese and every time I go. They try and sale me the one with cheese. If you know its a big saler the regular one well make more. This is ridiculous..

This is a great local business with a massive selection of treats and exceptional prices. Get there early because they will sell out of the most popular options. The line at the drive thru can be a little long at times, but they are very efficient and keep it moving quickly. My kids love the Cookie Monster and Unicorn donuts. My only ask would be to offer more vegan options. Excellent spot!

Its OK for what it is, but a strong word of caution. If you go, go before ~9:30 AM. If you go afterwards, youll be playing 20 questions in the drive thru trying to find a donut that they actually have left in stock. I dont know why they dont simply make more when they run out (or increase their stock to meet demand?), but the menu borders on false advertising after 9:30 on most days.

My girlfriend and I came from out of town. We came in, and we had super friendly service. We came to try their kolaches and left with some donuts too. Everything was amazing. Kolaches were hot. Donuts were soft. We tried to BBQ kolaches and they blew us away. 5/5 would recommend

Wanted to make a Gluten Free surprise delivery to someone local while being abroad. What an amazing experience - friendly, fast responsiveness, open to support remote ordering challenges, accurate delivery timing. And from what Ive heard - came with some extras and was really tasty too :)

A little underwhelming. The service was just ok, the guy was not overly helpful and they were out of a donut I wanted to try on the menu (at 9am not sure why they werent making more). Also not sure if they could, if they were out of ingredients..no info was volunteered to me just that they were out.I did try a glazed and cinnamon roll. They were all ice cold. The glazed was so gross I threw it out. When I got home in the evening and I heated up one of the cinnamon rolls it wasnt all that great either.You guys are the only donut shop inside of the loop that is in River Oaks..please step it up. Shipleys is worth the drive for a fresh, hot glazed..

I cant tell you how much I enjoy the sense of community I receive from the team here. I come in once a week to treat myself and the whole gang is friendly and cheerful. Anahi has known me for a while and she always takes the time to say Hi and ask me about my dog :). It may sound like something small, but with the world the way it is right now, that small effort is big to me. It brightens my day and I really appreciate it. AND OF COURSE, THEYRE THE BEST DONUTS AND KOLACHES IN TOWN!!

Favorite donut spot in town. BY FAR the best sausage Kolaches Ive ever had. They use actual high quality (Praeseks) sausage as opposed to everyone else who uses hot dogs. Donuts are everything a donut should be, great variety and very creative flavors. Strawberry Iced with sprinkles, and maple bacon are my go-to. Get the apple fritter bites and heat them up at home and serve with vanilla ice cream...youre welcome. They can also make custom (and HUGE) donut cakes which are amazing for kids birthday parties. Very friendly staff. Definitely a River Oaks staple.

Their kolaches are some of the best in Houston and for that alone they get 5 stars. Drive thru is incredibly fast and their donuts and coffee are also delicious.

Younger gentleman there this morning was cold and unhelpful with me simply asking a question (this was my first time there, and I was unfamiliar with the menu). There was, however, a young lady there who was extremely helpful, pleasant, and hard working. She has great energy. She did a terrific job. She makes a DELICIOUS iced cap. I was surprised at how good the prices are here, too. Nice place.

Their coffee is amazing.. but besides the godly coffee, their service and interesting donuts creations are unmatched! Quite expensive for donuts but well worth it.

Very poor customer service. The staff is rude and speak with condescending tones. If you’re not up for questions, find a position away from customers.

Kate was so nice & took my back and forth calls until I decided exactly when and what to get 😄 and helped me personalize donuts just for him. He LOVED them!! This is one of a small, small handful of donut shops in Houston which never disappoint. The Kolache’s have Prasek’s sausages, which is one of my favorites from the drive South on 59. To have access in the loop is awesome! The donuts are also perfect, I usually try to grab some chocolate donut holes as they have the best in town.The last element of excellence is the staff, they are always kind, friendly, and efficient. Today, a young man named Brandon typified these traits and inspired this review after being a long time customer. I love this place, keep up the stellar work!

I used River Oaks Donuts to cater a donut tower at my wedding at the last minute and they were extremely accommodating! Plus, I received SO many compliments from wedding guests about how awesome the donuts were.

Two words for management “customer service.” I once ordered a small coffee and the cashier sniped back “this isn’t Starbucks.” I repeated my order for a SMALL not a tall. I thought it was an isolated incident, but the terrible attitudes have persisted. I tried several more times with same result. I won’t be going back.On another occasion I asked about the gluten free donuts on the menu They did not understand what gluten free was or that this was a potential allergen. Please educate your staff this is a BIG deal.

My girlfriend ordered 4 cronuts and she even told them they didn’t look like cronuts and they said they were. When they were brought home they were definitely regular donuts and she drove 30 minutes for them. Come on guys, that’s just not acceptable

Great Donut Place, they have specialized donuts in the shape of Crowns and Unicorn Donuts that are a big hit for kids. They also have amazing kolaches!

I love this place, but if you are going to be open at 6 you should be open! No one answered their phone and they were all boarded up at 6:15 am on a Friday. This is unacceptable, especially since I have to get breakfast for work!

These guys run a very clean and professional organization. If you are having a large event or group I highly recommend you try them out for catering. Even for weddings and birthday parties donuts are a fun way to do something a bit different. I know there are lots of options for donuts but trust me this is the shop to go to.
