Ive visited here from northern Ireland years ago and would recommend that people take a trans atlantic flight if only to enjoy the delicious donuts and super friendly staff. Cant imagine a more authentic southern welcome. If anyone intends to visit America, it should be to visit this store!!

They either make apple fritters wrong or they gave me the wrong donut. i didnt want to make a big deal of it as i already drove off. and, you know, its a dollar or a buck 35 for a donut. anyway i got basically a stuffed donuts (stuffed with apple) rather than an apple fritter which is more like a flat fried thing with apple on/in it.not a fritter im used to.the other donuts were fine

These are the greatest donuts in the world. They have been consistent since I was a kid in the 90s. These donuts are everything. Plus you cant beat the price. The service is always fast, the food is always great. If youre visiting Houston, you have to go here. When she won her Olympic gold medal, Simone Biles was asked what the first thing she was gonna do when she got back to Texas and she said get Shipleys. This place is Life

Great service and great donuts. I like them so much I literally eat until it hurts. I don’t think that’s their fault. This location can have tight parking if it’s busy, but my experience was fine. If you’re coming down Westcott from the interstate, google maps will tell you to go around the traffic circle and come in from Washington. There’s actually an entrance right before the circle, so do that instead.

Im one of the Houstonites that recognizes that the sign is misspelled and yes, still... I cant believe people are subjecting themselves to Krispy Kreme and other donut places.I was told that everyone feels the same about this location and i can see why -- yall need to get and get here fast!

Always good donuts and theyre nice. Gave it a 4 star because of the parking situation there (not a lot of spots and often difficult to get out with a lot of cars coming, especially if youre trying to go south towards Memorial.

If you like donuts then youll like this place. It sells donuts and kolaches but I cant speak of the kolaches since Ive never had them. Reasonable seating area, all around good stuff.

We came in around 9 AM on a SaturdayPros: clean interior, including bathroom, quick service.Cons: the donuts.The cake donuts were heavy and tough. Breaking one open I saw holes in the dough instead of a smooth texture. The filled donut dough was definitely not the light, fluffy dough I expect at Shipleys.Its strange, if I had to guess where the donuts came from, I wouldnt guess Shipleys. Just didnt seem like the quality I know from the franchise name. Maybe it was an off day? I tried this Shipleys as we were in the area, but I wont again.

Just went to this store and bought 12 doughnuts that cost $6.99, the cashier who pretended not to speak English when I have her a $20 gave me $3.01 back and I had to almost scream for her to give my my correct change back. Then snickered at her coworker as if she was trying to cheat me over. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!!!

Nothing different than the other Shipleys around town but that doesnt make it any less wonderful. Theres simply not much better than hopping on my bike and cruising to this little location for an apple fritter and some do-nut holes on a weekend morning.
