I come to this store all the time. It’s one of my favorite places in Houston. Every visit deserves a 5-star review, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Jet at the Candle Bar. My wife and I took a candle making class today, and we had a blast! Above all, all of the employees at Manready are extremely helpful and friendly.

Love this store it’s one of my favorite places to shop in all of Houston. They have so many unique items I can’t find anywhere else from high quality denim to their own candles everything I’ve bought here has been high quality and worth every dollar!

I love this store. My boyfriend and I went to make candles at Manready for my birthday. Ughhh they smell so good, often times I have to resist wanting to burn them...i love them that much lol. I dont want my candles to run out.I enjoyed the store so much, i brought my dad in the next day. He enjoyed speaking with the retail associate, and together they found wonderful solutions for bread grooming. Now my dad has been consistently using the beard grooming products recommended by your sales associate. I will be coming back for more. Thank you for keeping the small business alive. Manly kind of place. Lots of items made in the USA. Prices high, but things for sale look to be very good quality. Candle making classes are available. Drinks are served to make the shopping experience really nice. Staff extremely friendly.

Paid a lot for shipping. Took over a month to arrive.Asked you specifically not to put the price of the goods in my package - this was not done properly and I got heavy customs charges as a result.Please be more diligent when shipping to international customers.Edit: I changed my review as I got feedback to my initial negative review and obviously prefer to support small businesses. My final email was not responded to, hence the original 1 star.I strongly advise using a better international currier service. People would rather pay a bit more and have it arrive quickly and without hassle in my experience.

Very cool vibes in this store. They source a plethora very unique quality goods. I bought a fancy bar of soap that is honestly god tier. Smells devine. Also picked up a body scrubber, some mustache wax and a leather wallet. All mint purchaes. Would come here if I was trying to find a gift for my dad or brother.

One of my favorite stores in Houston! Yes, some items are pricey but you cannot deny the uniqueness of the product. The men’s body washes, BBQ accessories including sauces and rubs, the BEEF JERKEY, and much, much else- hard to walk out of the store without getting at least SOMETHING!Great job, MM!

We came here on an incredibly rainy Summer morning in search of a cool hat. It had a masculine vibe with leather & whiskey accents abound. Staff was very friendly & they mentioned they were in the process of opening a new store in Austin on S. Congress.So even though it was a cool store, alas I could not find a cool hat. Would totally go check out the ATX one once they open.

Ordered items online and they arrived very quickly even though I live all the way up in the Dakotas. Along with the quick shipping time they also included an extra sticker (I ordered 2 but got 3) and got a card with a nice hand written note. My one complaint that I have is that I wrote an email to their product info email inquiring about 2 straight razors ( had trouble telling which one was which) but I never got a reply back. I ended up getting the wrong one but Im not going to make a huge fuss out of it. Either way manready mercantile has some very nice products and some very nice people and should be proud of their business!

The store is full of interesting items and is very thoughtfully displayed. What I enjoyed most was the hospitality. You can pretty much buy anything online these days, so if there was ever a reason to still drive to a store to shop, this is it. I ended up buying a few items but had my eye on a fantastic leather and canvas briefcase. I am sure I will be back to buy it soon, not only because it was a great looking bag but because of how well the store treated me.

This is one of my favorite spots in Houston. The amount of awesome and random things that they carry are amazing. One of those places that you never know what kind of cool things that you will find when you walk in. And the candles. Just incredible. I always try to have a couple around the house and the office.

Ordered two mask yesterday and did curbside pickup and the mask, the delivery everything was perfect! I can’t wait to wear them at work, I had to order something different from my previous face mask because it was hurting the back of my ears. Thank you

Everything in the shop was gorgeous! Plus I loved the vibe of the entire place. The men’s stuff was upstairs and I have to say that I now know where I want to go to get my groomsmen their gifts.The guy working up stairs was really helpful and nice, he was able to answer any questions we had and offered us an old fashioned while we shopped.We’ll definitely be back.

My husband loves this store...a lot. This is a great place for clothes and gifts for the man that has everything. Ive been in many times and the staff is always very helpful and clearly take pride in their work.

Everything is high quality and made by individuals rather than massive corporations.However, because of respect to the craftsmen and women, the products are probably prohibitively expensive for most.If you want to vote with your dollar, this is a great store where youll find beautiful products made by people who are obviously passionate about their crafts.I personally love their candles, wooden valet trays, and leather journal protectors.

Manready Mercantile is both trendy and practical. The owner, Travis Weaver, has carefully selected every item in the store, and it shows. My son, a very picky 15-year-old, has fallen in love with the store’s t-shirts because they are so incredibly soft. The quality that is put into each product is high above what you would find in national department stores. Not only are the products outstanding, but so is the customer service. You won’t find a more professional group of people. I highly recommend shopping local and supporting the business. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been a customer since they opened and usually go in at least once a month to see what’s new. I’m always greeted warmly by Travis,Rob,Greg and Abby. It’s a very well curated place with great brands and Travis’s candles and concoctions. While older than most of the customers,I’m always treated like an old friend, I’ve had many long conversations with Greg about vintage denim and military stuff-his knowledge is truly encyclopedic. Customer service goes a long way for me, and Manready Mercantile did not disappoint. Other than their excellent selection of premier leather goods and quality heritage brands (I got an amazing Indigofera shirt), they were very responsive when I needed to exchange a leather valet tray for a different size and color. Overall, great shop, great prices, and a great selection.

This place is a really unique, cool local place to shop. The downstairs houses a small are geared towards women and has a custom candle bar. The upstairs has a unique selection of clothing, leather goods, bath and body products and interesting knick knacks. The staff here are really friendly and helpful and add to the overall very enjoyable shopping experience.

I almost wish I was a guy so I could buy myself the cool merchandise from here. Luckily, I know plenty of males that enjoy well-made, stylish products. Its a cool concept that caters to the well dressed male. All of the products offered here are hand-crafted and supports the small business man. The decor is also perfectly done. I really just enjoy the experience of shopping here and finding random treasures. If only every man embodied the vibe of this place. Swoon!

I come here every year around the holidays to shop for the men in my life! They have clothing and great gift items like bar accessories and some quirky stuff too like mustache groomers. Its a great place to look around, but I really love it to buy gifts for men like my brother-in-law.

The places is an homage to the 1800s male. It is a very nifty store with all sorts of leather work oddities and, semi-modern yet old timely camping gear. The employees are pretty cool and gave me a discount for a cup. They are relatively on the more expensive end, but I mean it is a hipster-ish store. Go on by and check it out. There are also plenty of food places and other small shops near by.

Very well made apparel and candles. I generally make at least one trip here a month to pick up a manly smelling candle and their Peach Blueberry preserve. I highly recommend stopping in here if you are in the area. The staff is very nice.

Eclectic mix of vintage and new American goods. You wont be finding some cheap budget shirts here what you will find is the apparel and miscellaneous goods that are the highest quality and will last a lifetime. Be sure to check out the candles and other goods that they make in house.

My husband is smitten with this place. It’s a truly a man’s dream. I always say that guys are hard to shop for, but this place is a big help! They have a wide array of products from T-shirt’s to knives to bitters to bath products. Some of the things are pretty pricey, but it’s definitely because of quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too.

Im not at all a hipster but I really like this store. there is some expensive merchandise in there but there is something for every guy. Tyler was the cashier and was super nice and informative. I was in there with my wife and three kids and he was very welcoming and even gave me a St Arnolds Lawnmower. I will definitely be back. Ill just be sure to take some more cash next time.

Im officially a fan of this store. I had heard of prior to my visit and I truly had a great experience. They have a really nice section for male grooming. Beard oils beard balms beard everything lol. They also crrt so really nice male fragrances. They have it all covered. They have a cool t-shirt section. I love that they represent Texas. I will admit when I walked in I was a little iffy,but now they have my business.

This shop has a great assortment of high quality products; everything from candles to clothing and all high quality. One thing that sets this place apart from other shops in the area is the management and employees, they are all incredibly helpful and love what they do.

I love the industrial vintage vibe of the store, most products are USA or locally made. Im a regular to the store mostly buying their candles, pomade, or any neat vintage item I can find. My only gripe is that the clothes they have are tiny. Even the XL fits really snug and the jeans typically only go up to a 36. Im a 6 foot 270 pound former rugby player with a size 19 neck. Id like to be able to wear American made clothes too! In any case, the prices are high because thats what comes with artisan made goods. If you want cheap clothes go to a goodwill.

Very cool trendy shop. On instagram, i thought it was a clothing store, but its more like candles and knick knacks. there is a good section of fine leather goods, wall decorations, candles and incense, and just very little clothing, although the mens section upstairs did have some nice shirts.The items in shop are pricey, but they are mostly all american made and from small independent businesses, and you can see the care and quality that goes into each item.

I went in to look for a Fathers Day gift, and boy was I blown away by this place. The candles are amazing. Sterling made me a cocktail while I browsed around looking for that perfect gift. The duffle bags they carry are definitely great quality. And you have to see their display of hand- crafted man bracelets. I purchased a few items, including an Astros tee that was too small. Totally my fault for not double checking the size. There was so much to see, touch, and smell that I got distracted. Manready Merc is for sure a place to check out while in the Heights.

I really loved this shop because most items are made in the US of very high quality by true craftspeople. The folks who work here are courteous, kind, and always offer help. They have all kinds of very cool items - its a really great place for finding gifts for the hard-to-buy-for guy in your life... Or girl depending on the style and interest of the person I suppose. The only reason I give 4 starts instead of 5 is because of the exceptionally high prices. I came to this store when it first opened and items I bought then are more expensive now. It IS a business and the purpose is to make money, but theres just a point where youre starting to exclude a large portion of potential clientele... Perhaps that is the intention.
