Beautiful selection! The staff is so kind and friendly. I had to have my daughter with me today and they were very patient with. I REALLY appreciate anyone with patience for children in a store. Thank you for that. We will certainly be back!

Im currently remodeling my home and after checking out all of the lighting stores in Houston. I decided to purchase my lights from M&M Lighting. Im extremely happy with the level of expertise and knowledge they (Jonathan) have brought to the table! Remodeling in todays climate is not easy! Jonathan and Allan (owner) are AMAZING!!! I had an issue with my LED tape light and they totally backed me up! They paid for the electrician to come and troubleshoot shoot my set up! WOW!!! Blown away from the level of service!! Totally recommend M&M for all your lighting!!

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would. About a week ago we drove passed M&M Lighting and noticed the really nice light fixtures in the window and thought we would make plans to visit.Upon entering the store we both had on face masks and used the provided hand sanitizer at the door. It was just after 10am on a Saturday the store was not crowded. There were several sales people behind the counter and not one so much as said hello. Absolutely no acknowledgement of us. A couple of them actually made eye contact but quickly looked away as if to avoid us at all cost. I know companies are low in revenue and owners have had to make the tough decisions to layoff employees....but dang at M&M they must have closed the customer service department.If your in the market for nice light fixtures and/or ceiling fans do yourself a favor and go about 5 blocks West to Safari Lights, where you will not only be greeted but receive a great deal.

I will NEVER give M&M lighting my business. I was in the store shopping for a full house worth of lighting. We had made our selections and were waiting for Red (who was awesome, BTW) to purchase the lights. We were approached by the owner, Allen, who told us very abrasively that he was “getting us masks to put on”. Never asked if we would please put on a mask. So we very respectfully got Red’s business card and left the store.I decided to call the store and talk to Allen just to give some feedback. I was very respectful and told him that I’m sure that masks are a very polarizing subject. He immediately started yelling at me and told me that he didn’t need a “health lecture from a little girl”. Wow. I was shocked! He disconnected the phone call. An hour later he called me back. I seriously thought he was calling to apologize for his incredibly inappropiate behavior. The reason for the call back? Just to scream at me some more.It is a shame that the wonderful salespeople have to deal with Allen who made it so Red lost a huge sale today.

The first hour of our visit to MM Lighting was absolutely lovely. Red was our salesman and he was excellent. We had made our final decisions after about an hour and a half of browsing, and were waiting at a table for Red to come over and help us finish up, when an older man came over and abruptly told us he would be getting us masks for us to put on. He didn’t politely ask if we wouldn’t mind wearing masks, he very rudely came over and told us we would be putting on masks. It was a really strange encounter. He repeatedly told us that “he was the owner of the store” and at one point sarcastically asked us if we “ever watched the news.” Honestly masks are a subject that people are really at odds over, and I would expect a little understanding from a business owner. He was very rude and it was completely unnecessary. I think I spoke one sentence the entire time and he basically worked himself into a bit of a fluster all on his own. After that extremely distasteful exchange, we decided it would be best to leave…thinking that we would just call Red and complete the sale later. After we left, my sister decided she would call the store and ask to speak to the man. She was EXTREMELY calm and wasn’t at all trying to be rude or disrespectful. She said hello and explained that she felt a little frustrated by their encounter at the store. He immediately started to elevate his voice and yell at her. He didn’t listen to a word she said, but instead started to literally scream at her. She was still totally calm and tried to reason with him. He then hung up. About an hour later, he actually called her back to continue to berate and SCREAM at her. At one point he screamed that he “didn’t need a health lecture from a little girl.” Classy, right? No one deserves to be treated so abusively. I honestly can’t imagine what he would have done if this exchange had happened in the store. The guy is completely unhinged. No one did anything wrong here except for this Allen fella. I should mention that there are signs on the door saying that masks are required, but we didn’t pay much attention to them since a lot of places just haven’t taken their signs down from before. We weren’t trying to be rude or disrespectful. No one says ANYTHING to us about wearing a mask for the first HOUR AND A HALF of walking around, touching, browsing, etc. throughout the entire store. It was completely out of the blue and the phone call that happened afterwards was just nuts, abusive, and frightening. If he can’t control himself he shouldn’t be out and about in the store and communicating with customers. We will unfortunately never be shopping here again and will warn others of our experience with Allen. “The owner of the store”

As an interior designer and remodeler I am always looking for great locations to source out lighting fixtures. As you can see by my work posted in the photos attached, I have bought many, many fixtures from M&M Lighting. I love this store!! They have a great selection of in stock fixtures. They are great at ordering fixtures that arent in stock. The service is always fast, friendly and on point. I have enjoyed the pleasure of working with a sales associate called Red, on many occasions and I know that I am always going to be well taken care of when I see his smiley face. A fantastic place to send your clients or to shop for yourself!!

I was in the store to purchase light bulbs only on a Saturday. As the saleswoman was finishing up my purchase, a man behind the counter, began berating me about masks. I had absentmindedly walked into the store without one. Not one sales person, including the one assisting me, had mentioned that I needed a mask for service. The man later identified himself as the owner, and went on to make me feel extremely uncomfortable and downright humiliated. Instead of simply offering me a mask, and letting it go at that, humiliating me in front of everyone in the store seemed to be his goal. As an aside, I have purchased many fixtures from this store over the years, and have always had a positive experience.That will be last last experience with that store.

Do not let them sell you parts as if they actually know what they are selling.Know what you are buying before purchase. They have wasted thousands of clients dollars selling parts or lights that did not fit applications. Great place to look. But their sales reps have horrible lighting tips. I reached out to M&M Lighting (Amy) to help source multiple exterior lighting fixtures. Following my inquiry they let me know they are not set up to ship outside of the city and I am not in the city. They have a great lighting selection and are incredibly helpful. I got a defective light and they replaced it with no questions asked. The defective light also blew out my Caseta switch, which I didnt buy from them, and they replaced that switch too. Great people and they stand behind everything they sell.

Well lit parking lot at night to just pull over and plan my night with my buds. I was cruising downtown and I needed to pull over but all the surrounding streets looked super sketchy. This place made me feel safe pulling over.

I never shopped just drive by but lights look pretty

M&M Lighting is a business you must AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. The owner is a total arrogant jerk. I was trying to purchase some specialty lighting for my many homes and asked for his assistance. The owner just kept insulting me and got so belligerent that I had to quickly leave the store for fear of my safety. Please stay away from this place! Thank you.Although my experience took place some time ago, I feel it is most important to make everyone aware of what occurred after I left the store. I contacted the Houston BBB to advise them what had occurred. The following day a man from M&M called me directly on my cell phone while was traveling out of state and said he was the owner. He was absolutely out of control and threatening to me, so I quickly ended the phone call. Some time later I received an email from another member of their family saying that her father would never do what I described and asked me to remove my comment. To date nothing else has occurred. Thank you again for reading.

Today we walked in the store there was one customer besides my wife and I. We were never greeted or asked if there was anything we could be assisted with. Its unforunate as we had planned to make a rather large purchase.

I have had very positive service from M&M on two residential construction projects. The latest, 1/2015 to the present, is an addition and remodel of an existing structure and M&M supplied all the lighting. I worked with Dave Kerns and found him to be a very knowledgable and professional individual. He really made the whole selection process very easy and I am very pleased with the outcome.
