This being the second time Ive used these folks I elected not to read any of their reviews because of my own previous experience. A number of years ago I developed a custom 550 ft lb clamp force race clutch by modifying an OEM 250 ft lb clutch. The primary mod was achieved by utilizing a much larger disc from another more powerful car, changing the fulcrum points and a using a slightly stronger diaphragm. The new clutch cover was literally on the perimeter of the flywheel.Therefore Nine threaded 8mm holes had to be put through the flywheel half a diameter in the flywheel metal and half a diameter in the starter ring which is harder than a hens tooth at Rockwell 60!. They pulled it off over a weekend and charged me a more than fair time considering the cost of EDM equipment and the required CNC programming skill.This job which was much smaller and only involved removing a piece of sheared impeller shaft from a TITANIUM compressor wheel that came from a 12 Liter Mercedes turbo diesel used in the silver SCCA race car below. My daily driver as well.My only complaint. As usual it generally requires more wait time for a small job than a larger one. That is how most machine, EDM, welding etc shops prioritize things and though I might not agree with it...it is was it is. This small job required 1.5 hrs with an EDM (Electron Discharge Machine) and a week or so waiting for that 1.5 hours to happen.The telephone skills pertaining to being (placed on hold lol) and released from a conversation could be improved but this is true at some other shops as well. Customer service can be difficult when you do good work and subsequently stay busy. Enough said I was pleased with the work once more. Sent them samples on August 9 and were promised a 3-5 day turnaround. Did not receive samples until August 24. Very difficult to get a hold of company. Samples came and were incorrect; we had clearly asked in writing, with clean figures, for two sets of specimens cut to different dimensions. We received all specimens in one dimension. We had to reschedule flights, testing times, etc. because of these errors; never received an apology or any reasonable agreement to recut specimens or help us out in any way.
