I needed to establish service with a new DME after moving to Houston. After being assigned 1 DME that wasnt in my insurance network, then another that didnt respond to multiple voicemails over 2 weeks, I found American Homepatient thru my insurance. Lana was terrific in helping me register for the recall on my Respironics Dreamstation, getting info from my original sleep study to my physician, arranging for me to get the supplies I needed, etc. Anna helped me get in the door amidst high winds. The entire tenor of this office was open, responsive, effective, and kind!

This company love to play with patients life by not being on time with oxygen. They would have my sister on their schedule and not show up. It’s takes multiple calls to get things situated. I hate dealing with them. Please find another company to do business with.

This company needs to be turned in for insurance fraud! Do not do business with them. They send you way more supplies than asked for. They bill you and the insurance company for a ridiculous amount of money 💰. Billing department doesn’t pick to answer questions. I will not pay this company a dime! Buyer beware!!!

They take too long on delivering orders,up to a 2 week to get bottles of oxygen, district manager is not polite in dealing with problems, for past year I’ve had broken equipment been trying to get it fixed or replaced and had nothing but problems with the district manager

After more than a year of constant struggle, I recently received a new BiPAP machine from the local AHP branch office on Kinghurst Dr. in Houston, TX. The new machine makes a loud whistling noise when I breathe. The respiratory therapist at the location agreed that the machine itself was defective, probably leaking internally at some point, and needed to be replaced under warranty. After several weeks without further action, I called back to find out the status of the replacement. No matter the time or day, Lana is not there, is in a meeting, is not available to talk to me for any of a number of other very imaginative reasons. Others at the location tell me the modem telemetry from the machine proves nothing is wrong with it, and theres nothing they can do. I know AHP is fully devoted to the avoidance of customer service, but this is really crossing a line.***************Update: After further months of having to repeatedly call the local office to get them to talk to me about the warranty replacement, I finally received it. This is critical respiratory equipment, which was sent to me open in the box---not even wrapped in a bag of any kind---in a tattered box that has obviously been used for something else. They have twice avoided giving me new hardware. Dont know how this equipment has been used before, or whether they even bothered to clean it properly. It has been exposed to warehouse and truck conditions without any protection except a beat-up box. If they will treat me this way, they will treat you this way.

I have never seen anything like this. The doctor office sent order for CPAP supplies on September 12. I had not heard back from the company. I called them on September 20th, no answer and again on 23rd to see what was going on, was told the line was busy and would have a call back. Week went by, October 1st I called again. Now they need a sleep study report from 2013, codes for CPAP SUPPLIES, and still need to verify insurance benefits. Are you kidding me?

Office is very clean. The neighborhood is nice. Staff is very friendly and informative. Let my husband pick the type of mask he wanted.

The neighborhood is creepy and the office and office location is worse. There were lots of live and dead flies in the big light fixture right about the desk of the lady showing me the machine. Im afraid of the machine and have not used it. I feel like Ill drown or die from so much air blasting me like a fire hose. I dont like the idea of the mask covering my mouth and nose. There is so much to the set up and cleaning and then the look and feel of the mask that I dont like. The sleep study and going to their office were both extremely horrible experiences.

For new patients, this place does not carry Cane & Crutches anymore. They are only focused on Respiratory Systems, a rep just informed me of this over the phone.
