I made a return at the Pt. Loma Joann today and was to get $6.23 back. I left the store and got into my car, looking for something in my purse when I noticed I had a $10 and $1 bill. I went back into the store to give back the $5 as I did not want the young cashier to get into trouble. She had to call the manager to open the till. He arrived, didnt even look at me, opened the register and left. No thank you. The cashier didnt thank me either. I could have easily kept the $5 but I am an honest person. They have lost this customer
Ive been trying to checkout on their website for over two hours. The cart mysteriously disappears so I reentered all 23 items three times. Then I get to checkout and it fails multiple times over who knows what? I finally delete all my addresses and all my payment methods to start from scratch. I get to the payment page and hit process payment, it changes the cost to zero and not one thing happens. Refresh and try again and again. Nothing. Then the clock passes midnight Eastern and the discounts all go away. NOT HAPPY! They need a new website!P.S. They use the cheapest, slowest method ever to ship so dont expect your package for a couple of weeks or more.
Why cant the corporate office realize the Post Office service is POOR at best and Joanns sale brochure will NEVER arrive in time for the sale items and coupon usage. Today is July 20 and their delivee July 5-7 brochure just arrived. I sent the corporate office notice a few months ago, but they dont care about LOST sales because of their LATE mail delivery.
Internet ordering is a nightmare! The website is really difficult to navigate. It took me 2 days, a change of passwords and several edits to order $27.77 of fabric. That was on 6/21/21 and my checking account was charged. On 6/22/21 there are two separate charges due to split shipping that total the above $27.77. Now my checking account balance is reduced by $57.+. I have talked to your customer service person and have no satisfaction. I will now shop at Michaels. You have lost a loyal customer.

I’ve worked at Joann Fabric and Crafts for almost 2 years now. But the store in Portage, MI is one of the rudest. I just got hired but found out on my first day that my fiancé would be getting stationed somewhere out of state because he’s with the military and I would only be able to work at the store for about a week before having to quit. The manager that I spoke to only said “Wow. Okay. Bye.” And hung up. If this is how they act when they get notices like this, then I’m glad I won’t be working there anymore.

Queen Creek, AZWhen I go to Joanns I take my own shopping bag. I purchased it at JoAnns and it is easier for me. As I was shopping and had my thing in the bag the manager stopped me as I was browsing. He said are you finding everything okay. I said yes, just looking around. Then he noticed my shopping bag and said. Can I take your bag to the front to hold? I said no I got it. He then changed his tone...Well, you can NOT have that bag in the store! Why not? It a JoAnns shopping bag. He said, You can only use the bags and cart from the store. I bought this here and its a shopping bag! I told him I would leave in a minute. So as I was walking to to the front of the store. I stopped to look at something. The manager was walking down the aisle looking for me. He walked to the front to see if I was the have never been treated so badly at any store. I told the store clerk that I was scolded for using this bag, she said Oh! was it a tall guy? Yes, hes the manager. Im sorry about what happened she said.During this time of being careful that is more so why I took my own bag. I didnt want to touch the carts or the bags in the store.
I purchased three happy planners online from Joann, they were shipped from Ohio.. not only did I receive them weeks late but one of the planners was damaged due to all three being shoved in a small plastic envelope. I received an email yesterday asking me to review them and when I rated one star and posted the truth; TWICE, the reviews were denied.. guessing they don’t want bad reviews in their website... will not purchase from them again. And yes I did reach out to Joann fabrics to let them know the product was damaged, they returned $16 on a damaged $40 product.

I wrote a review on the store site in that area. But while I shop here frequently I used the restroom yesterday and it is truly disgusting. You know they have all kinds of excuses but considering Covid you would think it would be better not worse. It needs serious attention from floor to ceiling. Camager said they clean it. Apparently she doesnt use it. Hobby lobby for me.
We purchased the wrong sewing machine to make masks donate to children. Admittedly our fault. I have tried for over 1 month to reach Jo-Ann. I have called customer service, called HQ, emailed numerous times and even submitted a complaint in the Better Business Bureau website site. I have been going back and forth very publicly with them on the BBB site and all I want is a shipping label and confirmation they will not charge me re-stocking fee. They claim to have sent the shipping label to 2 email addresses and asked for a 3rd email address. (See BBB website) Funny, all of their daily marketing messages seems to make it into my inbox. I have been sitting on the customer service line for over 20 minutes (have picture of phone) where they say “we are not happy If you are not happy” and that they record the call because the lawyers say to do so. Interesting, that they need to record their call per the lawyer because they don’t pick up the call. Wow, I have never, ever been this frustrated with a company in my life. All I want to do a simple return. Good luck if you are attempting to do anything more than that.
TLDR: Joann does not value their customer’s business, forces large authorization holds in your bank account, refuses to return calls and emails, refuses to cancel orders they know they can’t fill and isn’t bothered in the slightest that their customer is upset. I don’t recommend large purchases (or any purchases at this point) from their company.I purchased an embroidery machine over a week and a half ago, it still has not shipped, nor have I reached any resolution towards this issue. The product has been removed from the website entirely since I bought it, which tells me that Joann is unable to offer this machine. I’ve tried to email, called four times, and still have not heard back from a supervisor or anyone that can actually help. I have been promised on two separate occasions that someone would call me back that same day, only to receive no call. Everyone is friendly on the phone, but it’s obvious they don’t care that I have had over a thousand dollars tied up in my bank account for something that’s obviously not coming. This is very unprofessional on Joann’s part, they created the problem and have been giving me the run around ever since. I do not recommend large purchases from Joann’s, they’ll hold your money in your account and then not even ship your item.

I was a customer at the Folsom, California store around 11:30 am this morning. While there are signs at the door stating that masks are required, there were approximately 7 out of approximately 25 customers who were not wearing masks. One group had school-aged children who were wandering throughout the store without masks, including in the check-out line. I mentioned it to the clerk who was cutting my fabric and she said they couldnt enforce the regulation. I suggested that she say to the customer, no mask, no service. She didnt like my comment. I am a health care worker who risks my life every time I go in to work. I dont have the choice of who I serve, but local stores have a mandate by the State of California to wear a mask. Wear a mask, slow the spread so our children can go back to school, we can get back to work and we will save lives.
I was against shopping on Amazon, due to its impact on small businesses, but I bought 4 pieces from Joann two months ago, they were shipped likely 2 weeks after the purchase and they sent the shipments separately and one got lost, they dont provide a tracking number so you can follow up with USPS, you can only track it via their website. the online orders are not associated with any stores so you cant call them to inquire and already I have sent 3 follow-ups emails to their customer service that has not been addressed..so you are better off shopping from Amazon, they are faster, very responsive with a much better customer-oriented service than Joann!I will never shop again here...

Ordered online after orders for curbside pick up had been canceled or partially canceled. No better online because they still canceled part of my orders. Customers shouldnt have to keep being charged for shipping when you place an order and items are available when ordering but then are canceled after so you have to keep placing orders online because you didnt get everything ordered. Trying contacting joanns multiple times about offering free shipping because its not my fault they didnt send what was ordered even though it keeps showing in stock and cant get anyone to respond back. I understand you must be busy but that is no reason to avoid reaching back out to customers that try to contact you!
I found items online that were supposed to be in stock at a local JoAnn. Because JoAnn is cramming the buy online pick up in store in everyones face with their advertising, offering a discount, even, I went for it and placed my order. A hold was placed on my account for the purchase, immediately. Shortly after, I received a notification that the items in my order were unavailable. After a week the funds held for the purchase were still not released. I called JoAnn and was told the funds were released by a Customer Service individual. It was a lie. The bank said that if JoAnn does not release the funds the hold remains for 29 days, which in this case is after Christmas for items I was trying to purchase for Christmas. JoAnn should not be allowed to tie up my money preventing me from making my purchases elsewhere because they misrepresented having items in the store. A release of funds needs to occur immediately upon notification of unfulfilled items. I used to shop at JoAnn a lot, but JoAnn will now be a last resort option, if I shop there at all. The time wasted on just the phone call was more time that it would have taken to release the funds. This was a terrible shopping experience.
Joanna website is terrible! Lists fabrics but not available for shipping AND not available in stores. What the heck!! So why have online?? Ive found this with notions also. Never, never use the website, dont believe what it says!
I wish there was a way to do ZERO stars. I am disappointed in the way this company operates. They do not honor their own policies, and dealing with customer support they really have a way of tearing you down. they are false advertising. not once in their company policy does it say you have to order online first and then start a return claim in order for them to price match. in their policy it states if you have the proof of the ad of purchase(which i did) then they will price match. however They have definitely lost my support.
I usually am understanding about anything being wrong or broken if the seller is also accommodating, but this has simply been the worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had. I ordered products online over a month ago in April. The package was damaged in transit & returned back by Fedex to Joann, which was unfortunate but fine. (The only reason I have that information is from Fedex, not Joann). I waited to receive news from Joann...nothing. I wait a few more days, and tried to contact them on the “customer service” email. Crickets. I try to call. No phone numbers available on their website so I dig around and find a number but they have no options to speak to ANYONE. The voice recording recommend I try to email, so I try again. Still nothing. At this point it’s been weeks since the package was sent. I sent another email and they have the NERVE to send me an email asking me “how I’m liking my product”. It would be nice to be able to write a rave review of it if it had ever arrived. Apparently there is nothing wrong with the accounting department at Joann as they had no problem receiving my payment.I have no issues with the stores but Do NOT order online, they are obviously unprepared for any online customer service and they basically stole my money in the process.This is something I’d expect from some fake foreign scam company.

I ordered 6 yds of the same fabric online but it wouldnt let me do all on the same order so i split them in 2 orders. With that being said of course it charged me $7.99 shipping on both orders. I contacted customer care and got no response. 2 days later i checked the status of my order and it has been canceled. I never received a email of anything else to say they canceled my order. So i email customer care again to basically get told they are sorry that the website says its in stock but it really is not. This has got to be hands down the worst ran business i have ever dealt with. I will never do business with Joanns again.

ONLINE IS A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!- Almost everything was out-of-stock or not at your location- It took hours to find just 6 types of fabric online said were available- Then it took days for them to get to my order, and to cut my fabric- I never received an email after my fabric was cut, and it wasnt until I went in to complain that I learned it was ready- Furthermore, when I went into my location, there were Plenty of Fabrics available there that your website said were Out of Stock2. In store was a much better experience. Angela at the Crossroads Cary location is the only reason I am still shopping at Joanns- Angela listened to my complaints, and found the fabric I had ordered- She took the time to explain my total, and even gave me a discount (because they had a partial yard extra)- Cici the cashier was also extremely pleasant to work withOverall, in store was a phenomenal experience, but it was ONLINE that was a Huge Pain (I do not blame the store, only Corporate)To whom it may concern,I recommend working on the Website, as I have seen many other reviews for my store with similar complaints.
Same story, items supposedly “shipped” and charged same day I placed online order but package showed undeliverable. Worst customer service, after 3 separate inquiries promised package shipped with delivery date, then oh it went Fed X to USPS so we can’t track to your order was never filled because of back order even though I see some delivery tracking. Complete and total cluster you no what. Still waiting on my refund and it’s crickets. Sounds like I need to report fraud on my credit card based on prior reviews. Do not order online! Be warned...

I cant get the rest of my items from my online order from 5+ weeks ago and I cannot get a refund, as per their social media representative. I have waiting 3 weeks and still have not gotten an answer from my online inquiry regarding the items. I was told to be patient for shipment, but have not been given a timeline that I can expect my order to be fulfilled.
I orders a few yarns online and it came to $102.02 . They collected from my account. After 2 days I was charged $24.94 out of no where. Ill promise to get my all money back legally.
I ordered a wire basket from the Joann Fabric to be picked up curb side at the Festival Ln. location In Dublin OhioI was sent an email stating they recieved my online order. The total of the basket with tax was $16.11. I then got an email saying it would be late to what for an email saying when to go to the store for pick up. The next email showed that the order was being delivered to my house and charging a deliver fee of $7.99. This brought my total to $24.10. My order was placed on 4/22/2020. I submitted an email to them last night 4/27/2020 stating that I should on should only be charged $16.11. Joanns is the one that decided to send it delivered to my home not me. I checked my email this morning for a response from them. The response was that they canceled my order. I guess they dont need the business during this hard time in our life. I guess I will look to see if I can get it at Michaels Crafts or else where. Was doing to order some material to make masks.I guess that isnt going to happen. I will just order a mask on Amazon. It is hard enough to order things on line and not be able to go to the store and see the many different items you need for your home or crafts you are making. I was needing other things this week end and then realised i I couldnt go get them. Well thanks Joanns for your horrible Customer Service.All my crafting friends will hear about your solution to my purchase.

Online pick up here is the worst. When people call the store the employees just take the phone off the hook and ignore it. The store near me has curbside pick-up and while the website shows my store has many of that item in stock, they dont have any.You wait a week and then your order will be cancelled. Its happened the last 3 times I placed an order.

Absolutely terrible customer service!! I understand the delays in shipping due to COVID-19 but every day I receive emails saying that orders are delayed and should arrive within10 business day. I placed an order 3 weeks ago and have not even received a shipping confirmation yet. I have emailed customer service and mess with God thdm on Facebook several times and have not gotten a response. I spent a lot of money on this item and doing even know if Im getting it now. Would not reccommend ordering from the website

Found out later couple hours, couple days even couple weeks those items still available online. Sent concern to customer service got no reply at all. Very unprofessional business implementation. Terrible experience in my local store and then made the mistake of making an online order. I have emailed them three times because they sent my order to a Maryland store an hour and s half away!!!! No help from manager when I called that store. I want a full refund as this is absurd! I have NEVER experienced this much trouble ordering online and I do it all the time! This joann that I visited where the rudest bunch of employees I have ever ran across in my history of shopping at and craft stores Im a artist who goes in and out of craft stores all the time and the one in klamath falls oregon has to be the worst one I have ever seen the employees made me feel like a criminal cause if there stereo topical attitudes and the way they looked at me was absolutely ridiculous i will never shop at another one again

I have NOT been impressed with Joanns online ordering AT ALL! I ordered 10 different fabrics and only recieved 1 that I ordered and 1 that I didnt order. I called customer service on a Friday and they told me the warehouse would contact me within 72 business hours. I never heard back and called back the next Friday where they told me I would be getting a refund and I wouldnt be getting my fabrics. Its been 2 weeks since then and I still have not received my refund and I havent been able to get my fabrics either. I am not pleased at all! Dont order online cause they dont get anything right! They arent updated online on whats in their stores either. Its a big mess and a big pain in the butt!

The lady security was very rude to me she was complaining to me how other people there was trying to do here job and took it out on me SMH but they didnt take to long to unload me FYI dont break your seal let the security do it

I have an $150 order of fabric that has been in process since 5.28.18.....Today is 6.6.18, what is the freaking hold up on shipping my order. This is utterly ridiculous and a disrespect to me and all customer.Ive called and called complain and explained to customer service that this fabric is needed for making Fathers Day gifts, but seems to me that my complaining fell on deaf ears because my order still did not ship. I am a very disgruntled customer right now and has been given no choice but to right my grief in a review.JOANN FABRIC JOANN FABRIC please ship my order!! High prices so it is only worth making a purchase if you use a coupon. They are very good at putting sale signs out that are placed wrong or outdated so the price is higher once you get to the checkout. And dont even try to return anything it is a huge hassle. Plus the store layout is awful since the remodel. Aisles are too narrow and crowded. It is nearly impossible to find employees if you need help. The fabric counter workers are ridiculously slow. Michaels, Pat Catans and Hobby Lobby are all better choices!

This place is a scam and dont fall for it...buy fabrics and craft supplies elsewhere even if you have to drive farther...I live in the town with this store and I wont shop here again....First of all, it a scam when they put out a new seasons items and then mark them down 40%, 50% 60% etc...they are marked up so high that even at 60% off its still overpriced! They are not customer friendly either. I bought $50 worth of craft stuff, went home, started working on my craft. Next day i found a coupon for $10 off if I spend a certain amount. Well, i needed a few more supplies, so i took my coupon and recipt from the day before thinking it would be no problem to combine my purchase today with yesterdays and let me use the coupon...NO CAN DO! Well, they can, but they would have to return all the items and then repurchase them with the new stuff I was buying, oh, and you actually NEED TO BRING in all the items purchased the day before! Well, i couldnt cause I threw away wrappers and used stuff...how stupid, any other store gives you a week to bring in JUST a recipt to get price adjustments from sales, coupons and whatnot....but not here, they make you work for it! cause they know that you probably cant bring in all the items....so screws to the customer! Dont patronize this store!~
