Really great ice cream and nice local business. I’m a huge ice cream fanatic but pricey for a two scoop which was fairly large in size - two 2 scoops came to be $16 before tip, cup and cone. Still great ice cream and fun rotating flavors, but maybe not a place to bring all your kids and their friends. A great business to support if you can, they also have pints available at some local markets.

Great ice cream and wonderful staff. The establishment is cute too especially in the evening with beautiful string lights. Great place to hangout with friends and family. Many flavors of ice cream, coffees and tea to try. Love that theres vegan and gluten free options as well. Youll not be disappointing.

An amazing ice cream experience! Not only do they have a delightful selection of custom flavors that youre unlikely to find elsewhere, they have the best cones youll ever try. Most cones are little more than embarrassing cardboard handles destined to cause your scoop or scoops to fall off or drip all over your hand. At New City, the cones are delicious, sugary funnels that the ice cream is carefully packed into, as opposed to on top of. No overflow, no drips, no tumbling spills, just crisp, sweet deliciousness surrounding your ice cream for the entire duration. Hats off to the staff for assembling these magical treats!

The best ice cream! It’s made with a liquid nitrogen freezing process which is interesting to learn about and helps make it creamier. There are so many delicious flavors and great cookies brownies cakes and more! One try and you will be hooked and back for more :)

This place is great! Innovative and creative ice cream flavors are a hallmark of this location and its sister store in Cambridge. Havent had a flavor I didnt like. Honestly, Peach Melba has probably been my favorite so far. Also the cafe side of things is pretty awesome. High quality coffee and pastry really help this place stand out among the other run of the mill ice cream shops in the area.

There are many flavors of ice cream, including vegan, gluten free, and some tempting unusual flavors. They make all the ice cream in the store, using liquid nitrogen and a large mixer located in full view of the customers, so you might get lucky and see that happen. The berry sauces (for on top of ice cream) in particular are freshly made and really yummy. The coffee is sometimes great and sometimes not so great, so your mileage may vary. There is a small selection of pastries, which are good, but pastries are not their specialty -- it is ice cream and the ice cream is very good. Finally, they do also offer a selection of breakfast-style sandwiches.

Best. Ice. Cream. Ever. Their seasonal menu is so creative and on point with their flavors. The tiramisu tastes like tiramisu, and the baklava tastes like baklava. Vanilla bourbon, chocolate cookies and cream, pancakes, and red velvet are a few of the other flavors that stand out in my mind. Seems like the seasonal flavors change quarterly.

The ice cream here is some of the best Ive ever had. I had the baklava ice cream and I immediately noticed the creaminess and flavor of the ice cream itself. It seems as if the milk/cream they use is particularly high quality. Their other flavors are also very good.

Loved this place! Easy drive after apple picking at Honeypot Hill. Innovative flavors wed never had elsewhere, great atmosphere and fast, friendly service. Well definitely be back!

The ice cream is excellent (theres a bunch of standard flavors, plus some unique rotating flavors... though some of them have funky names and the menu board doesnt have descriptions, so you have to ask whats in them), and they have a ton of delicious toppings to choose from. Theres also a little coffee shop area that serves coffee (obviously), baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. The whole place has a pretty cool, eclectic vibe, with plenty of seating indoors, plus outdoor seating out front, as well as around the side in this cool alleyway theyve done up with cafe lighting and picnic tables. Definitely worth a stop in for dessert, after dining at one of the many excellent restuarants in Hudsons little downtown area.

Its been a while since Ive visited but when I did... I loved the vegan oreo ice cream on a delicious waffle cone! Spoke with one of the owners...great guy, passionate about what they do as a business! Make the drive out to Hudson when I visit Boston!

Delicious rich ice cream. I personally loved the oatmeal raisin cookie and the vanilla bourbon. The place is beautiful, bright and very spacious with a huge open kitchen. Super kid friendly with a big chalkboard to entertain children. They also serve coffee, pastries and sandwiches but we only went for ice cream.

Always love going here. The staff are all very friendly and easy to ask questions without making you feel bad for asking them. A great selection of drinks and ice cream and artsy atmosphere. Its a great place!

First time visit. Very good ice cream! Customer service lacking. Young lady who took our order seemed annoyed that we asked her to repeat what she was saying. It was difficult to hear and understand her. We didnt appreciate the eye roll.

They gave you plenty of ice cream, but it was very expensive. The ice cream was not as creamy as I would expect or as flavorful. I had cannoli and it tasted like vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered waffle cones mixed in in big chunks. There was no sense of a cannoli flavor. I have had cannoli ice cream before that tasted just like you were eating a cannoli, so I was not impressed. For the price I probably would not go back there. I gave it two stars because they give you a lot of ice cream.

The New City Microcreamery in Hudson, MA is all about ice cream...with a little coffee and pastries as well. Great ice cream and Ive had quite a bit over the years. Flavors are great, ice cream is creamy, and portion sizes are agreeable. A bit on the pricey side, but you support a local business that buys its dairy from a local farm in Hadley, MA.

Hudson local. I really don’t recommend this place. It gets hyped up to way more than it is. The ice cream itself is subpar at best and horrible at its worst. The past 3 times I’ve been have been complete disasters. They have consisted of almost puking due to bad ice cream, getting shorted on ice cream and still being forced to pay the full amount and extremely poor treatment by the workers. The place down the street is worlds better and even that is not the best. This place has tumbled down from being the kings of Hudson to just a place you pass by. I actually don’t blame the workers for being so rude as ive heard management is incredibly rude and poor. I used to love this place, but now the menu is empty and the place feels devoid of life. Its a shame, because back in 2016-2017, New City was awesome. It had great flavors and great service. For people coming through the area, I highly recommend the Kimball’s location about 10 miles to the north in Lancaster. The service is outstanding and the ice cream is on another level in terms of quality. The line at New City used to be out the front door, but now they get lucky to get half of that.

If youre lactose intolerant, try their vegan ice cream. Even if youre not lactose intolerant, try their vegan ice cream.All of their flavors are spectacular, and online ordering has been excellent for the should (less so for the wallet and waistline). I love to order pints and bring them to special events with family.

A lovely heart of the town experience.This ice cream shop & coffee shop is more than it seems on the surface. As a man who grew up loving farm fresh Ive cream with dairies still like operation in my home town; I can say with certainty this is good ice cream.Beyond good ice cream, they offer coffee and light lunch food. The prices are great and over all I would say this place has the right bones to be the heart of the town.I would freely recommend this to anyone.

Love this place! Incredible ice cream and seriously the world best hot fudge! Lots of great memories here too. Its been a few years since my parents lived in Clinton, but whenever we would find ourselves near by we would make a point go because its that good. Last time I was with my Mom before the pandemic and before she passed away. She was in absolute heaven as we sat out on the patio and enjoyed our delicious ice cream without a mask or any stess. I will always hold it in my heart every time I go here and Ill aways smile when I do. ❤

It has some pretty good ice cream. Their sea salt ice cream was the best Ive ever had. Sadly it is out of rotation.

I thought the date was going to be an absolute disaster when I found out they sold out of chocolate ice cream, but thankfully my Scooper suggested the Smores flavor which was so *insert inappropriate expletive* good. Oh and my date went well, but even if it didnt Id come back to grab a pint for myself.

Rude service tonight to our family of four. Sad, because the ice cream is wonderful. This was our second visit with rude counter service. I cant recommend because leaving with something sweet wont cancel out the sour staff.

Ice cream here is super creamy and very delicious. We tried the salted Oreo flavor cone pieces and the Ruthless flavor (chocolate and peanuts) both were exceptionally good. It is a bit expensive, but the ice cream is definitely top quality.

Awesome ice cream place in Boston with a decent mixture of common flavors and in-house creations. Everything is made fresh and isnt kept for more than a few days.I tried a few flavors:Chocolate Oreo (salted) - really good flavor + the salt added a nice twist.Cookie Dough - the vanilla was a bit lacking IMO but that could be because it followed the salted Oreo above and was over powered. The cookie chunks were fantastic in this though.Oktoberfest / pumpkin concoction (I dont remember the name exactly) - unique to say the least. Pumpkin flavor and since it was made with a darker beer as well, a flavor I cant quite put my finger on. Worth a shot.

Omgggg their cookies and cream ice cream is to die for and don’t even get me started on their cookies and cream milkshakes!?! Ahhh! I can’t I bought 80 dollars worth of 4 quarts of cookies and cream ice cream and I’m going to have to spread it out because it’s so good but so expensive I wish they would maybe give me a discount on big orders so I can buy more often

Had a root beer float and my wife got a couple scoops of ice cream. Pretty good, but also quite expensive. We both agreed that we felt like it left a sort of funny film in our mouth too. Would probably go back though, it was nice inside and in a cool location on the rotary in downtown Hudson.

Went to get a ice cream as we were standing in line a working came up to us and said that we had to wear a mask me and my husband are fully vaccinated and due to my health issues I can’t wear a mask. I have yet to have something here I do not like. I love how they have the normal flavor ice creams along with specialties and some real wildcard flavors. Eggnog, cannoli and pancakes and syrup are some of the specialty ones I have had and they were all enjoyable. The vibe and set up inside is adorable and clean and the staff is friendly. Expect to spend a little more than your average ice cream but overall it’s worth it.

Let me start by saying that I have been here few times before. The experience is usually above average. However, during my most recent visit, I had experienced the worst customer service.After having dinner for Father’s Day, I decided that ice cream would be a nice treat on a hot day. When I went in, I was in what seemed to be a very quiet store. I saw at least three employees that were standing around and did not appear busy.After placing and paying for my order, I was instructed to stand outside. I was not particularly happy about this as it was a humid 90 degree day and the sidewalk was not paved due to construction.After about 25 minutes of waiting, I called and was informed that there was a 30 minute wait and that they were short staffed and busy. I was never informed of this when I placed my order. If I knew, I most definitely would have went elsewhere.In addition, it appeared that they prioritized the online orders as I saw them place many bags in the front freezer.After about 30 minutes of waiting, I went inside to ask about the status of my order, which they finally gave me shortly after.The ice cream was pretty good, but not worth the price or wait. I understand that they may have been busy, but I think it is something that they should have disclosed at during the ordering process.I will not be going back.

Please put a large sign up that says you cannot sit outside with ice cream after 5 pm. Only 2 tables taken, but outside is only for the bar so we had to leave? Too bad on the first nice night that we couldn’t sit out with our ice cream. Disappointing. Won’t be going back but did love the ice cream.

Just tried this place for the first time - I don’t want ice cream from anywhere else ever again! It’ll be worth the 20 minute drive every time :) Easy to order online and pickup too.

A nice and cute stop for a simple cup of coffee!The flavoring they use is all homemade, which threw me off entirely when I ordered a caramel flavored cold brew. Definitely wasnt what I was expecting and wasnt the biggest fan. The ice cream has quite a different flavor to it, as well, which threw me off.Its not bad! Its just different than what the normal is, so its still worth a shot to try.

Everything was great until my friend and I got to the register. Ice cream is fine. When my friend and I went to the register to pay, the cashier ( a rude blonde with a bun and glasses who needs to learn proper food service etiquette) said “should I put the tip on the card?” Before I could step in, my friend obliged because she was too nice. She didn’t do anything but take us at the register to pay because this isn’t a restaurant, and there are COVID 19 regulations to follow. It was so rude to oblige and ask someone for a tip, when it wasn’t even deserved. It was an uncomfortable position for my friend. Disgusting.

Theyre open till 10 during the quarantine. Kind of crazy, but the cashier was very kind and service was quick. The shop was very clean and sanitary. I love their ice cream, best in the area in my personal opinion from my 3 or 4 visits. Overall I havent had a bad experience yet.

This place is the bomb. This is the best ice cream Ive had in the area. If you like really really good takes on interesting flavors you should come here.They have *literally* the best key lime pie ice cream Ive ever tasted.Weve done a couple ice cream cakes for birthdays as well: you get to build a custom flavored cake - it was $35 bucks... But well worth it.Everything is obviously fresh, and you can tell by their custom flavors they do not use artificial flavoring (e.g. the lime in the key lime)
