Really cute coffee shop. Love that its close to home. Staff is very friendly And always has a smile on their faces. Love the coffee beans they use and love the chai tea latte. This coffee shop has lots of space to sit and talk with friends while the kiddos place or it also has a place where you can do school work or zoom meetings. I usually just go and grab a quick drink and enjoy it while driving.

Connected to the church is a spacious coffee place. Welcoming and comfortable, i recommend trying it out. These photos are from the back with more space on the other side

I was looking for great coffee in the areas. Define had the best reviews in a 15 minute radius so I drove over. I didn’t realize it was in a common area of a church. I decided to proceed in and not worry that I would be asked to join a church I was unfamiliar with in order to buy a desperately needed cup of coffee. Inside the barista explained the rent the space and are not affiliated with the church. The cappuccino I ordered was delicious and the employees were very nice. There were no cult vibes about the place either. There were some people getting coffee and other people maybe on the way to the other church buildings. The grounds were beautiful and facility was very clean and kept up.

I have been holding AMC stocks for a while. The return has been phenomenal considering how much support it has and only seems to be gaining in support and price, and by no means is this financial advice. 🚀 Anyway, really good coffee! 5 stars for taste!

Great coffee, relaxing vibe, and great staff.

Loved the atmosphere of this place. Very spacious with lots of different seating options that made sitting in groups feel more intimate. The coffee was delightful. Got the cold cinnamon latte with wildflower honey and two macarons. An absolute delight. Seating indoors and outdoors, very friendly, helpful staff, wonderful place to just go and decompress.

What a lovely atmosphere! The loose leaf tea was great, and the gal behind the counter was super kind. Ill drive out of my way to come here in the future. The pricing is on point. There is a small area for kids to play while parents visit, two outdoor spots one with shade and one in the sunshine! Counter seating and comfortable chairs and couches throughout. Plenty of outlets which was helpful since I forgot to charge my laptop. This new find is a top favorite!!

Great quality coffee, from black to signature options. They also have uniquely delicious flavor combinations. Definitely recommended. Not to mention a spacious interior great for working remotely and work meetings.

This is a nice place within Lake Forest Church (in case you have any trouble finding it). They have some of my favorite coffee in the Charlotte area. Theres plenty of space inside which is nice during these COVID times. But they also have a good amount of seating outside to just sit and relax.

Oh my goodness, such great coffee and a fantastic place to meet with a few men from out church.

At exit 23 and went looking for this place because of the great reviews. Missed my turn as I was was not expecting this coffee bar to be inside the church building and thought it was just the church parking lot until I saw the sign as I passed. Once I turned around and found it though, the coffee was great, the staff friendly, and the community center was having a game night that looked like a lot of fun.

Defined coffee is now my go-to coffee shop. Keifer made my Cardi V latte with lots of love and boy oh boy was it delicious! Everything is fresh, with no artificial flavoring. But, the space? Gorgeous, open and clean (they even have an outdoors patio!). Truly an awesome atmosphere to grab a coffee, and get some work done on your laptop! I will definitely be returning here! Thanks Defined Coffee team!

Giving 4 stars for friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The coffee is overpriced though. $6 for a latte plus an additional $1.5 for oat milk. $7.50 for a 12 ounce latte! 😳 It’s disappointing to have to pay that much for an alternative milk. The biggest disappointment is if you get a large, you only get extra milk, so the ratios are way off and the drink essentially tastes like warm milk. This is not industry standard, so it seems like this should be made clear so you know what you are getting. What a major disappointment to pay extra for a large only to taste that it’s extra milk and the drink therefore tastes way off. It’s very noticeable. And a bummer.

Lovely, welcoming place. Really nice, cozy seating arrangements. I went to order a chai latte with non-dairy milk and the barista warned me that their mix had dairy and then proceeded to mix a chai latte for me using their masala chai and oat milk!

I cannot rave about Defined Coffee enough!! Ive been here many times since first discovering the coffee shop online in October. Ive brought all of my friends there to do homework and have club meetings. The atmosphere is so bright and welcoming - and so is the staff! Oh yeah - the coffee... Im not a big coffee drinker, but Ive fallen in love with the Mountaineer. Sitting there one day, I met one of the owners and one of the vendors. This place truly gives me an escape away from UNC Charlottes campus and makes me feel more involved in the community!

I was initially surprised the shop was in a church, but then they overcame my skepticism with incredible space & even better coffee. I had a pour over & it was as good as anything Ive had at large ATL area shops. They had at least 35 people in the spacious inside/ outside areas at 2pm on a Tuesday, yet theres so much square footage that its very peaceful. Great coffee & good workspace!

Ordered a double Espresso. Received a fruity broth of some sort. The staff was pleasant, but extremely proud of the light roast fruity beans he used for my Espresso. He even made me smell them. I wanted Espresso....dark, Italian Roast Espresso......

Defined coffee is amazing. Located in Lake Forest Church, this shop emulates love and kindness. The staff is wonderful. They put so much intentionality into their work. Defined also sells HEX coffee, a Charlotte favorite. This shop is a great place to come, have a great cup of coffee and then stay a while for Amazing conversations.

I got the cold cinnamon and honey latte with whole milk upon recommendation of the guy working. really great. love the wildflower honey used and that it was locally sourced. great floral hint at the end.

Theres already over 100 rave reviews so its not even like I need to do this one but Im in love with this shop. The coffee (try the orange) is (and Im not exaggerating) the absolute best cup of coffee Ive had out in my life from anywhere including other major cities like Boston. Theres so much seating - small and long tables for working, chairs by the fire for chatting, couches for group meetings. Its quiet, well kept (clean), bathrooms accessible easily (and not just a single toilet coffee shop standard issue), and yes! the baristas really want to make you the cup of coffee you order. I recommend to it everyone as the place we meet now. These business owners deserve only the best success! P.S. Its not affiliated with the church if you were wondering. And, they send you coupons by email to come back!! When does a coffee shop do that!?

Wonderful coffee experience. I cant attribute all of the atmospheric qualities to defined (gotta give props to the church, great environment!) but Defined really helps. Excellent coffee, exceeded only by the knowledgeable and friendly owner and his lights out staff.

Friendly, knowledgeable and considerate! The co-owner took the time to explain different products to me and really cares about ethical supply chain issues (they use direct trade coffee, which I have found out is light years better than fair trade coffee!!!). I had the espresso and it tasted great. I also felt good about doing business here and look forward to visiting again.

Excellent coffee, i ordered a small cappuccino with almond milk and it the milk was perfectly steamed and the drink was very frothy and creamy. definitely recommended. paid $4.50.

Me and my family went there early in the morning because it was on our way to the people we were visiting. The people there were very friendly with great hospitality. They got seats, couches, and tables and a fire place to go with giving a very cozy feel to it. The coffee at this place was one of the few coffees I could have with just honey and a little bit of milk. The flavors are fantastic and they a selection of tea for those who are not into coffee I highly recommend this coffee place to other people.

Great selection of flavors and the Cranberry muffins are simply amazing! It is a bit hard to find via Google Maps, but once your in the area they make it easy to find. Really like the temp the coffee was served at.

Really delicious coffee and great atmosphere. Love that ingredients are locally sourced and organic. You can really taste the fruity esters from the coffee bean, todays roast tastes like strawberries! Owner was very friendly and is truly passionate about their product.

Codes is very good and the staff is very friendly. I love they allow people to come and meet there. I meet a set of guys every week there and discuss life. It is great defined coffee allows us that privilege

Defined has great coffee--the best in this area! There are several relaxing places to sit and enjoy your coffee including a fireside lounge. The baristas are very knowledgeable and greet you with warm smiles! Especially Brooke and Gabby--if you are lucky enough to have one of them then you are in for a treat!

This is a great neighborhood coffee shop! It is located on church premises but is managed separately. The shop is spacious and has a nice,large outdoor patio. You can come in and catch up on work (via WiFi) or conduct an in-person meeting. The coffee selections are numerous with a flavor or two on tap. Todays on tap flavor was pumpkin. Mine was prepared manually as the machine was not up and running. I am not much for cold coffee and upon tasting it, it tasted bland. The server added more pumpkin (two pumps) which gave me the flavor needed to consume the drink. The shop also carries small bites to nibble on along with a small selection of one-bite, chocolate candy desserts.

This place is very well organized despite the location and lack of good parking spaces. I went there 3 times and the last time their coffee did not taste as good as the other 2. Also, it lacks a big space to work at as well as some accomodations. Overall a great place with great staff but they need to add salty menus and accomodations for people who would like to work there. If those 2 things are fixed, I would gladly give it a 5 stars.

Pricey but great people who love their craft. The location is unbeatable with plenty of space unlike starbucks. The fireplace seating and outdoor pergola are especially cozy. The cardamon latte is everything.

I was a regular customer over at studio coffee before they moved over to this new location and changed the name. They had a wide variety of vegan treats and coffee to choose from over at studio. We finally made it over to this new location and Ive got to say its kind of odd. The coffee shop is actually inside a church, which Is kind of strange. When we showed up we had no clue it was like this and a service was actually going on. It was a little uncomfortable. They didnt have any vegan options when it came to baked goods, which is a huge bummer. We got a coffee and left. The fact that there isnt vegan options and its inside a church, I probably wont take the time to come all the way out there again. Coffee is good though!

This is my favorite Huntersville spot! Its a great place to meet up with friends, get work done, or simply make a quick coffee run. The baristas have become friends, and my husband and I look forward to our weekly visits to Defined. And not to mention, the coffee is amazing. As a self proclaimed coffee enthusiast, I love that they serve Hex coffee, have oat milk, and use organic syrups and ingredients.

As a former barista, its refreshing to see a coffee shop MORE obsessed with the craft of coffee & espresso than me! Yes, youll probably have sticker shock. Just pay the extra $.50 than the competition down the road because youre going to get a way higher quality ingredients and creative drinks at Defined.Side note: I know its weird that its located in a church, but it doesnt feel like it. There are plenty of comfy chairs, couches, and tables. Also, their patio is blissful!The house coffee is great! But you should treat yourself to their cardamom latte ; )

I consider myself so lucky to have found this little jewel while I was in town on a sales call. I wasnt STARVING and I hadnt had a cuppa yet that day. My oat milk latte and gf SUPER-stoopid-chocolate doughnut was the perfect recharge for another appointment half an hour away.Combine that with excellent customer service, a beautiful cup of coffee, fresh baked goods, and an overall sense of good mojo, this place is a fantastic stop for fuel.Spacious venue, soothing music at just the right volume. Price point is a little high, but for the overall package, I didnt mind so much. Truly.
