Amazing western store and very nice employees! I got a hat from this store and the man in the hat department helped me pick it out and shape it to my figure, helped me pick out a band because I wanted one, and even showed me a simple way to clean the hat! This store is one of the coolest stores I have been to yet!

We went to purchase a Cowboy hat for our 17 year old grandsons senior picture with. The young man who helped us was super nice and very knowledgeable about hats. Then another older lady and younger lady helped him pick out a necklace for his girlfriend. My 15 year old granddaughter was very impressed with the store and wants to go back. Get friendly staff. Always there to help out if you need anything! I was there for over an hour on the hunt for a special good fitting boot. And they made sure I walked out with exactly what i wanted and made sure they fit great! Highly recommend!

Horrible experience with my online order. After 3 weeks I called and they said the computer made mistakes on everyones order by putting a comma in the wrong place and she fixed my address. I randomly received what I ordered in one package at a time and never received one pair of jeans I ordered. It was school clothes that we didn’t get and they were ordered 2 weeks ahead of time. Don’t purchase anything online if you really need it. Their communication with me on what and why this was happening gets a rating of 0!!!

Loved everything that we saw there! We dropped by because we had been to Cabellas for work boots for my husband. They had some clothes that I absolutely loved, but I certainly did not need to be buying for myself right now! Awesome atmosphere and absolutely loved the smell of leather that you could smell even with masks on!

One of the best places to go in Huntsville if you like western clothing. Some things are expensive but they have great deals with sales sometimes.

Pretty good selection of mens jeans. They have some of the harder to find sizes (34 & 36 length, 40+ waist). They also have jeans intended for work, not fashion plus a good selection of fashionable ones. The store attendants were nice and helped me look for the odd size I wear.

My husband and I went in to buy him boots but were specifically looking for American made boots. The salesman was knowledgeable about all the products they had in stock. The store was very nicely kept and the prices slightly better than their competitors. I also noticed there were sales going on in their western wear sections. There is a section for Ladies also. The people were very friendly and we ended up with two great pairs of boots.

Easy shopping here. Wide variety of Boots, hats and other western wear. Very large seletion womens wear. Gift certifacates for the store are so easy to get. I like those because then they can get exactly what they want from there. The Staff is so friendly and not pushy like at some western stores I have been in. They ask and then if you are good they walk away and wait. Very knowledgable about the products and where they are located. Love the store.

A very large selection. The best selection I’ve ever seen at any boot store ALTHOUGH, they tend to carry more of their own brand than any other. They also did not have a large selection of booties (which is kind of expected of any ‘western wear’ store). The staff were busy stocking shelves and making rounds, but they still took time to help customers and point them in the right direction. It was an overall good experience with many products from belts, to hats, to boots.

The store is nice and have a large selection but the employees are garbage. They just sit behind the register. I went in for a nice eater shirt and kinda wanted someone to help me and try to sell me on some things but these little girls who won’t leave the front counter. I finally got mad and asked for help and she literally stood on her tip toes and said nah we don’t have anything in the color your looking for. You ready to check out. I could have dropped the one shirt I had and left. Poor customer service and it’s not the first time so I will be taking my business back to Preston’s Western Wear.

Looked like a decent place but didnt see many USA made products.

So my son goes in there to get a pair of work boots. Tells me of the great deal he got. Customer service gave proper fitting (good), but the recommended boots were marked at $150. The salesperson said she would sell them for $120 to earn future business. Sounds great right? Found the same model boot on the manufacturers website for the suggested retail of $115. OK, so $120 is OK for personal, immediate service over web site delivery, but the original price of $150 was marked up severely, then reduced to give the illusion of a good deal. Buyer beware.

Large selection of boots. I guess theres an adequate selection of other Western wear. Not my style, so I cant really relate. But theres a delicious leather smell throughout the building and the staff seemed friendly.

I’m from Texas where western clothing stores are places you find friendly eager employees willing to help you find what you’re looking for. I walked into the Huntsville cavenders and was very disappointed. I walked around 15-20 mins without one employee walking up and asking if I needed help finding anything, instead the one employee was with a friend of hers talking away. When other employees came on the floor they joined the conversation. No customer service whatsoever. I was lookin to purchase a new hat and walked around the area which is next to the checkout desk and even then no help was offered. Sad.

So Im new into Western wear despite being a southern man. I am giving praise to a good man who took care of me and knew his craft. Thats Wes at this Cavenders. Was out the other night wearing my old faithful cowboy hat that had so much curve and dents it looked like I took hail damage. (I was overseas in some heat with it so wasnt just neglect) Wes walked up and just started talking to me and offered to help me get the hat back to its former glory. True gentleman that didnt have to but did go out of his way to improve me. So if you wear Western attire around northern Bama, definitely keep these guys in mind.

Online there are tons of plus size clothing but in this store there was literally 1 small rack. Very disappointing. Cute boots and jewelry though

Cavenders has the best selection of blue jeans Ive found anywhere around here.

Ive been to Cavenders two times, my first time and my last time. Looking for Coveralls so am pointed to the Coverall department. Nothing in order, have to look at each pair in the entire inventory to determine they dont have my size. No help, no answered questions, no assistance while the boys and girls in cowboy hats are hanging out at the registers. If youre going to treat people as if they are at Walmart, then they might as well be at Walmart.

Massive selection, staff is eager to assist you in finding your perfect boots.

Great for cowboy boots and typical red neck/rodeo attire but if youre looking for work boots our anything operational Id go elsewhere.

I traveled an hour and a half to specifically do business with this company. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff was very friendly. I browsed for 25 or so minutes and I couldnt find my size. I had 3 different people try and help me and we still came up with no luck (I have an odd size). Kashia (Assistant Manager) and an older gentleman went above and beyond in assisting me. They did not have what I needed but I left with what I needed ordered, a jazzy Ariat shirt and $10 bucks left on a gift card. These 2 individuals tied up at least 30 minutes to help me and they gained a Cavenders customer for life. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Went in looking for mens work boots, was greeted at the door and was told if we need anything please let them know. Store was clean, prices fair, good variety of mens work boots, poor selection of size and width, and poor customer service. We were looking for a 10 1/2 EE, waterproof, steel or composite toe work boot. Was asked by an older gentleman if we needed help. We explained what we were needing, he told us we need to go to another part of the store for steel or composite toe. Once we were in the location of the steel toed work boots we were left to our own looking for what we needed. It was some time before he came to check on us again. Once we were asked if help was needed we expressed that we did indeed need some help. We asked about a certain boot and if he knew if they had the size we were looking to find. We expected actual help at this time. Instead we were told it would be best to look at the boots by size and showed us how to match up the numbers on the side of the box to the numbers on the display boots (which we had already been doing both by this time), he then left us to be once again not really helping or answering our question. After being in the steel toe section for around 45 minutes scanning every box, reading tag after tag only being checked on occasionally, though we expressed each time that we were in need of help we decided to give up. Around this time the gentleman came by to check again. I told him I could sell him a pair of boots by this time since I was so familiar with their inventory. He did not find this amusing, turned and walked away but mumbled I wish yall would hurry it up. We have shopped at Cavenders in Texas a few times and enjoyed our experience, so we are aware this is not the staff expectation of all Cavenders. As we exited the store only 1 of the 4 or 5 staff members standing up front chatting said anything to us which was about going outside in the rain. We are saddened that this Cavenders lacks on customer service and have no plans to be back.
