I have been here twice, and both times I have had an amazing experience. My first time, I was looking for tamarind. The cashier immediately approached me and asked what I was looking for, and he knew exactly where it was. I was in and out in under a minute with exactly what I needed for my dish. Then today, I was looking for some Indonesian groceries. The cashier was very friendly and informed me that they did not carry what I was looking for. He had done his part, but he went on to tell me about an Asian market that likely had my ingredients. In other words, they want to make sure you get what you need, even if it is not from them. I have no words.I cannot say enough good things about this little store.

Small but good. You find many things you need if you are from South Asia. Relatively cheap for indian products but more expensive than Aldi or Walmart for other common stuff.

This location is smaller the the larger bazaar market next door however, they greet everyone who walks in. They also ask if you need any assistance. If you say no they leave you be. I can stay in there carefully gazing at each isle for about 45 minutes. The store keepers have never made me feel like a threat, uncomfortable or unwanted. They also thank me after service. I can’t say that much for the market bazaar next to them. It is important to say I am women of color and these kinds of experiences for me is not common in these particular markets. It’s a small store, but the clerks are friendly and helpful. They have a decent selection of goods and supplies. Wish they would expand and offer even more space, spice and merchandise to their customers, as they are the only Indian/Pakistani grocery in town. I would also like to see them add more household, as well as health and beauty items.

My wife and I enjoy shopping here and we know we are lucky to have a grocery like this here. My wife prepares so many excellent dishes and most of the supplies come from here. If you havent been here you need to go check it out and experience it. You will be hooked and a become a regular customer for sure if you enjoy Indian food.

I want to appreciate the effort of the owner to stand up the only Indian grocery shop in Huntsville area. It is far from perfect but it is a good start. They should start keeping some more known Indian brands. Good luck.

For over 25 years this store has been providing the community with well selected Indian groceries and products.

Great selection of Indian spices at incredible prices. The last time I was there I bought several items and spent less than $20. My favorite are the snacks! Highly recommend for anyone who has an adventurous palate.

They have every thing you could possibly want in dried vegetables.Their prices are absolutely very very low.

I use to work at Suraj imports the customers were awsom there and the owner #Muhammad Bhai is such a nice person he treated me like a younger brother the whole time . I wish nothing but all the best to this place . I love shopping at suraj imports. A Clean Desi grocery store . :(

Listed prices do not correspond to actual prices. Cashier’s explanation was that was the old price and they have not changed it.... what in the world!!! If this is the case, a regular, customer- oriented business would have matched the price... we wre talking about $3 difference. this is ugly way to do business.

Things in this store are twice as expensive as in Patel Brothers in Nashville TN which is 105 miles north of Huntsville. One trip to Nashville will more than compensate for your gas and you have more options.
