I acquired my very first instrument, a used Fender acoustic guitar, from Guitar Center a couple of years ago. I recently went back to look around and also hopefully find a new strap for it. It was my lucky day, I landed not one but 2 very nice leather straps for a very reasonable price. They were on sale for 50% off and guitar straps if you bought 2 or more...it was a no brainer to grab a second strap I liked. After walking around the store I realized they have alot more than just guitars, they have a little bit of everything! I found some cool Christmas socks with elves rocking on the electric guitar, I seen some very cool locally made wooden instruments, drum sets, amps, all the accessories; you name it. The young lady working was very polite and helpful. Ill be back again for sure.

Ive had some good experiences here, but I usually leave pretty frustrated when I need to stop for something. Ive been ignored by employees several times and things are lying around out of place with no prices near them (keyboard room especially). Went to get a new synth and none of them but one or two was set up, there was no keyboard amp (just a karaoke. . . thing), and there was no employee in sight to help me except some guys in the guitar section hanging with their friends. Id rather pay more at a local shop than deal with that.

This is the best Guitar Center I’ve ever been to. The employees are really friendly and are very knowledgeable. I’m always greeted with a smile and shown attentiveness. They are also very patient and educational. Just good, happy people all around. I wish all Guitar Centers were of this quality.

Guitar Center Huntsville Alabama has absolutely no guitar worth looking at or accessories worth look at. Management Is a and associates are a complete joke. Please dont waste your time stopping by there.

My husband plays the piano and wanted to buy equipment to record it. The staff was welcoming and very helpful.

I was skeptical when Gibson told me that GC was the only authorized repair center in Huntsville for my Hummingbird acoustic, but I took it anyway to have the pick guard repaired that was curling under the strings. When I picked it up, the repair looks terrible. There is glue smeared on the finish and the pickguard, and it is still not fully stuck down. I’ve taken the guitar elsewhere in hopes they can remove the glue and fix this repair the way it should be fixed. Beware of leaving your prized possessions with GC for repair. I won’t do it again.

Sad excuse for a business! Mask order has been lifted, in Alabama, just not here.. but I get it. I walked around for 10-15 min, no other customer I seen. Not one worker offered to help.. I was looking to purchase a new Taylor acoustic ( which I still will) . I will GLADLY take my $2k elsewhere! Where a customer means something. If this is an inkling of what Guitar Center values, value my business walking out the door, and never coming back!!

If you’re debating between Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Musician’s Friend, or some other dealer, look no further. Long story short, Connor and Alex and their whole team at this GC absolutely bent over backwards to put me onto my dream PRS, and then bent over backwards to give it to me at the lowest price possible, and THEN went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything. Great place to get a guitar as long as its not a twelve string.

I recently visited Guitar Center as a new acoustic guitar player, and I mean very new. I needed help putting a new string on and tuning my guitar. I was greeted immediately and directed to Mia, who went above and beyond to help me. I left with a clean, fully new stringed, tuned guitar. I even received some knowledge about my guitar and some good laughter. I highly recommend Mia to help anyone, you won’t regret it!

If I could give zero stars I would. I had to ask someone to help me because five men in there were ignoring me. I couldn’t see any ukeleles. So a guy said they are in the acoustic room and took me in there. They had only three tenor models and all were not tuned. He gave me a tuner to tune them myself and left me in the room alone. I gave up because they were badly out of tune, as in they came from manufacturer and someone stuck them on the wall without ever tuning them. I wasn’t going to stand there half an hour doing their job. When I was walking back through the store there were no other customers and NO ONE said hey did you like any of those? Talk about bad customer service...the WORST.

Can order any guitar and oh man the wall of them. Not only guitars they have a nice nice drum, keyboard, DJ, and acoustic section. They also have basses.

I bought, at a great price, a used Zildjian A Ride Ping cymbal 20 based on an okay photo. It ground shipped from California to Huntsville, Alabama. When I picked up it was wrapped very well. When I opened the box, the cymbal was encased in bubble wrap and in excellent condition; even better than I expected. The guy at the counter was friendly. Service in Huntsville is always good. They are always helpful.

I just recently sold a guitar and in the market for a new one. Stopped in here. I was in the store for 30 minutes and not one person said hi, asked me how I was doing, asked if I needed anything. I looked at the guitars the amps and used products and the employees were way to busy talking and cutting up with each other to bother with someone with $2500 looking for a new guitar. Chill people and you always feel comfortable testing an instrument without feeling judged. their acoustic room is super nice. And they have a nice little vinyl collection! ( including nirvana unplugged 😌 ) the customer service is awesome! me and my sister Went to see if we could fix a guitar that broke and we asked if they could fix it, sadly it was weirdly split on the top of the neck so we couldn’t but they were absolutely kind and honest about it! I totally recommend this guitar center!

Hello coming to Guitar Center because theyre cool about letting me Shred on their high end instruments and amps. Im not quite a master guitar player but I got a few chops and the whole staff is always supportive, not to mention their vast MIDI, acoustic strings, electric and acoustic drums, electric guitars strings for all different types of instruments knowledgeable Pro instrument repair shop etcetera etcetera etcetera, good stuff.

Guitar center is a fun place to go. I love that they encourage you to try stuff out. Instruments can be a big investment so its nice to not have surprises buying instruments. The staff has always been friendly but I actually havent interacted with them that much. I like how theyre around but not pushy. I would actually like them to offer to help me out or show me instruments more directly instead of vague do-you-need-anything questions. Some people could use a little courage to actually pick something up.

Ive been a guitar player for 47 of my 62 years now.From the first time I visited about 10 years ago through today (Ill be picking up one of my instruments) Ive been impressed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and very professional. The Guitar Technician on staff is one of the best Ive ever seen. He has worked on five or six of my instruments, from completely re-vamping the electronics, pickup replacement, fretwork, and simple setups (that I would normally do, but trust his work). As a whole, the staff of Guitar Center at 5900 University Dr in Huntsville AL has exceeded my expectations many times over.Thank you. I appreciate doing business with yall.~ Marc Patterson

I like Guitar Center. They are pricey on some items and decent on others. I was looking for a guitar but nothing specific and found several in my price range doe the day and the only hard part was deciding which one. The staff is helpful without being pushy. They have a great selection of used gear as well.

I read where a gentleman was looking to buy a amp I believe, not sure. No one came to help him, well... the store is packed, and they treat u like a friend, all u have to do is open your mouth and someone will come to u.Some people go looking for something to complain about.....get a life, the place is amazing. I live in Tn. and the is very good, they will answer all your questions. If u want to go to Nashville go ahead.Like i said before I live in Tn. and have no problem with the store, maybe its just YOU........

Great place to go for all your musical instrument needs. Great place to hang out with friends and have a jam session. The staff totally rocks! I enjoy going here just to check out the stock and hang put with friends. I highly recommend this place to any music lover to go and check it out!

This January I went in looking to get a guitar to learn on and thanks to the helpful staff, I got the guitar of my dreams. The frequent promotional deals meant it was very affordable. I even racked up some in store credit that allowed me to get a friend an intro level bass guitar for their birthday.

We love our guitar center and all of the employees! We have been taking lessons for about 6 months now and have made several in store purchases. NEVER ONE TIME HAVE WE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE! The instructors and ALL employees have been nothing but kind and helpful every single time! The staff are all very informative and know their music, instruments and equipment. It’s rare that you find a business (let alone a chain) that will go above and beyond to help and take care of their customers. Guitar center does every time

The very young manager was abnoxious about their mask policy. I had a face covering but it wasnt good enough for him. You guys are losing a lot of business over this.

Not a good selection of guitars. Mainly have low end cheaply made guitars in stock. Have to order what you want I in my opinion the staff in not very knowledgeable about their products

Very good customer service compared to most Guitar Centers. They are helpful without seeming either annoyed or being all in your business. And they don’t seem irritated when you try out the equipment unlike most other guitar centers. Strong selection and better selection of used equipment than most guitar centers. Enjoyed my trip there. Far better than other guitar centers I’ve been to in Atlanta and Tennessee.

No help, employees set it office the entire time I was there trying to purchase a guitar for my son. It would have been nice to get some help on what to start with and pay for lessons buy the staff really needs to walk the floor and help customers. Its sad when you have to leave a place you thought would be your best option and spend money elsewhere.

Love the place good workers. Me and my grandfather went there for my 12th birthday not to long ago and had a blast looking at the guitars!

Awesome place to do business

This was my first visit to The Guitar Center. I was actually going for drum sticks and found that they have basically a plethora of just about anything that you might musically need. From drumsticks to full sets, keyboards, electronic equipment, and more. The staff was super helpful and I ended up leaving with a set of drumsticks, a practice pad, and a drum amp! Haha. They had a great deal though and I couldnt pass it up. I would recommend this place to anyone who is just starting out or a pro looking for new gear. Definitely will come back here!

Decent selection of guitars, drums/ percussion, keyboards, DJ equipment and appropriate accessory items for each instrument type. Customer service was lacking; they werent very attentive. It was about a good 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and then they disappeared. When we were acknowledged, they were polite but didnt give their name just in case we had a question later. They werent outright nasty or rude, just kinda aloof and distant.

This Guitar Center is awesome. The employee, Jesse had noticed an error with my shipment and called to let me know about it as well as let me know what he had done to fix it. He has been a great help in being able to answer all my questions Ive had over purchasing this guitar pedal. Its been crazy helpful considering Im in Lincoln, NE and am unable to go in to the store. Keep up the good work!

We placed an order over the phone and had it shipped to this store. The order was correct, but the help in store definitely could have been better... They need to work on their customer service. There were several employees standing around talking while we waited at least 15 minutes for help.

So I bought a Taylor 314ce today online at 3pm and chose in store pick up as it was in stock. I paid 1400 with my debit card and $800 on the guitar center gear card. I talked to a worker in person at the store and he told me that I could pick it up in a couple of hours. He also asked for the make and model of the guitar and he found it in the store and placed it in the back so no one could buy it. Well its currently almost time for the store to close which is at 9pm... If I knew that itd take this long to pick up a $2200 guitar when I couldve just bought it in person and walk out of it at that instant I wouldve just paid cash up front for it. So disappointing... I also bought a $260 ukulele for my wife yesterday and they gave us the bag with a broken zipper although they replaced it today for free. Guess Ill have to wait till tomorrow hopefully itll be ready then.

Great service, fantastic selection, and a busy, bustling atmosphere.Just what a guitar store should be.I have been buying (and even selling consigning) guitars and gear here for a few years now, and I always enjoy the experience.

Service staff was great, very friendly, very professional, very knowledgeable. The selection of electric/acoustic guitars is amazing, though lacking in choices for bass, ukulele, banjo, and certain items for drums. Same goes for amplifiers, lots for guitar, hardly any for bass. The recording studios get me every time. Love how well theyre set up and acoustically sealed. Ill definitely be back.

Nice store, good location, large selection of instruments and accessories. The store was clean, well organized and easy to find. The climate controlled room in the back had a variety of high quality instruments to choose from, and they had all been tuned well. My only complaint would be that I didnt see any store employees anywhere. I had a couple of questions I wanted to ask, but not a ton of time. I am pretty sure the guy who helped me was a customer. (Then again, maybe he was an employee blending in.)

Fun place to browse, meet and dream. Staff is helpful but not hovering - simply make eye contact and ask. Pricing is fair - so make sure to purchase - dont just use the place to try out then buy on line.

It is great to have them here locally! The staff is super helpful and took care of me when I was in recently needing some sound equipment and cables. They also have rental equipment available.

Ordered a guitar online. Got it and a string popped. Gave them a called and they replaced the string for free. Was in the store and out in a short time. Thanks to Connor and the rest of the crew!

Great place to shop for your next guitar or daughters and chill out. Staff is hit and miss, either in a bad mood or not knowledgeable on a certain instrument or just is interested in the sale, which isnt a problem for me. Most of the time you will find somebody there who understands your needs and specific specs of what you want. Stock is usually good. Do your research before buying. This location is nice and clean and the people dont care if you wish to plug up amd jam out. Overall this place is a good environment for the casual musician or professional.

They were pretty busy at the time of my visit, but they were super helpful and made sure I got what I needed. I am loving my new guitar and all of the accessories I purchased as well.

Ive bought numerous items from Guitar Center and with no regrets. They commonly run deals that have saved us a fair amount, and the customer service is superb.

Bought some podcast equipment from this place and got home and the box didnt have the product. It was a simple misunderstanding they corrected for me and gave me a mic splitter for my trouble. Excellent customer service. Ask for Squid yes they call him squid. 🤣

If you need it, 80% chance they have it. Wal-Mart for gear.

I ordered my daughter a well reviewed beginner guitar from Guitar Centers web site. Picked it up at my local Guitar Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish the area where the store is was a easier to drive in and out of.
