I made an appointment to do a complete inspection here. Carlos was very polite and answered all my questions. He was great. They told me my car was in very good shape and didn’t charge me a penny extra. They recommend few thing but at the sale time also said they are mandatory to change. Over all a great auto shop on Hyattsville. I highly recommend them.

I needed a number of things done for my car, including weatherstripping and diagnostic of an A/C problem. Even though they werent able to solve the A/C problem with the cheaper solution they were honest throughout the process and very generous on labor. I will update this review when I go back to them to fix the A/C with a part I purchased on their recommendation to save money but their professionalism, transparency, and quality of work is top notch. Already boasted to a friend in the area that he should go there.Update: Been about a month since the A/C Compressor was replaced and now it works great. They helped me tremendously and will go there again for a car repair.

Amazing mechanics! My car was making a loud grinding noise when I was on vacation in Maryland. I brought it in to K & W after seeing the great reviews. They were incredible! They solved the problem, were so kind and extremely reasonable in price.

They just gained a lifetime customer today. I went to have them change my license plates for me and they didnt charge me! They simply did it for me and just wished me a nice day! The guy who did it for me was kind, profession, and quick. (I wish I had asked for his name!) As a female, its hard to tell when auto shops are ripping you off or not, making it hard to find quality places. I will definitely be coming back for any services needed! Thank you!

Took my car which need basic work and to fix the AC. Carlos (son) referred me to his father Carlos. His father did the work but failed at something as basic that you learn in tech school...the breaks.He put new calipers on the car did dont test drive the car well enough to make sure the break works. I trusted the him and took the car on 495 and almost crashed into the median.He offered to have someone come pick me up and drive the car back but that person stated I would have to wait over 1hr for them to get to me.I got the car back to his shop the next day he looked at it right away and put the old calipers back and offered a $334 and his apologies.While both Carlos father and son did look at my car they failed to go above and beyond to make this right. Putting the old parts back on my car and giving me the bare basic refund for the break job on a $2400 bill is not enough.This was a big problem that put my life at risk. More should have been offered.But in the end I left there feeling so disappointed and taken advantage off. Especially since the reviews where off the chart.

Second time going to this shop, last time was Nov. 2019, I think. I wouldnt go anywhere else for mechanic work. They do great work for a good price. I told my wife to take her car here for brake work, instead she went to one of those chain tire places. Ended up costing her $600. I had my oil change done at the same place and they suggested I do my front breaks, quoting me $700. I laughed. I came back to K&W and they did my front pads and rotors for $380. Dont get swindled, go to K&W.

These guys are AWESOME. My air con stopped working and the reason wasn’t an obvious one. They tried a bunch of different things and brought me with them every step of the way. I appreciate that they are so willing to explain. I now have an air conditioned non-clunking car! (They also replaced my muffler last minute and super fast). Thanks guys. You’re the best. I’ve asked them to fix brake things for me too in the past and they have done those super quickly.

My Honda Accord was serviced at this shop in the past. The service was impeccable. This morning, I dropped my vehicle off for repair work concerning another issue. Carlos called me shortly after to confirm what the issue was. He has the ratings that he does because they are truly much deserved. This is definitely your one-stop shop. I had a great experience with k&w I called and spoke with Carlos, I had already kind of self diagnosed my problem as to why I couldn’t drive my car and he was very flexible in getting me an appointment the next day with overnight drop off because my battery was dead! He said it may not be fixed in a day because of the part but he evaluated the situation he also gave me information on other issues with no pressure! Which I really appreciated in trying times like this and still managed to have my car back to me by 2 pm! I will definitely go back to finish the work that needs to be done. He was very professional and he also called more than once to see how the car was doing and told me to bring it back if the problem persist. We have been clients of K&W for about six years now. There is no other place we take our cars for mechanical issues. We have always gotten fair estimates and recommendations about what work is high/low priority. Weve even been told when work wasnt needed! This place is the real deal. Quick service. Fair prices. Excellent customer service.

I generally go to this place for oil change. They do a great job. I also went there a couple of times - once for exhaust, once for body damage. K&W does not do any body works. Carlos gave me a quote for the exhaust replacement, but also told me that I might go to a muffler shop to fix the exhaust inexpensively (they don’t do muffler job). I then fixed the exhaust from the muffler shop suggested by Carlos. I always get honest opinions from him. The price is also reasonable. They don’t rip you off. They explain everything clearly. I recommend K&W highly.

I stumbled upon this shop when I had a bad starter when I first moved to this area more than 16 years ago. I have always received excellent service at K&W. More than that, the guys at K&W have become good friends over the years. I’ve held onto older cars for longer than I would have because I know I have good mechanics to find and fix problems that arise, and I’ve actually learned a lot about cars from them. I would never consider taking my car anywhere else as long as I’m in the DC area.

Although I did not get my car repaired due to personal financial issues. They kept my car at their location and offered an estimate and clearly explained the issue regarding the repairs. I would definitely recommend this location for future repairs and would recommend this location to friends for repairs.

Went here a few months back and they couldnt replicate the problem I was having at first. I asked if they could keep trying and they were very patient with me. I asked them to keep my car for about 4 days and they really drove until they found the issue! When I found out it was my transmission and I couldnt afford it, they said they understood and handed me my keys, no questions asked. These guys are the nicest and most understanding group of people. The service and communication was incredible and those are hard tings to come by in auto repair. I just recently got a new car and any issue or maintenance I have to deal with is definitely going to be dealt with here. Even if you dont know much about cars, THESE GUYS ARE WHO YOU CAN TRUST.
