Wonderful coffee place with friendly staff, great variety of coffee and treats available, and warm atmosphere. There’s wifi and plenty of seating so it’s perfect for doing homework. My favorite drink is the lavender iced latte with oat milk.

Always a great experience at the Commonplace Coffeehouse, really any of its brick and mortars. But the original in Indiana PA is something special. Great product, awesome team and customer service. This is a place that takes pride in its work and its community.

Cute little coffee shop inside a building. Interior courtyard adjacent to coffee shop has tables, several have power supply near them.Traditional Italian Machiato was terrific. Brownie was nice.I hope to try the raspberry/rye cookie - sounds delicious. And coffee cake looked great, too.

Ive been going to Commonplace for 17 years and theres a reason for that. Not once in that time have I been disappointed. Commonplace always delivers quality drinks and above average pleasant service. Ive gotten everything on the menu and a few things off menu and while Ive found my favourites Im happy to recieve anything from it.Teaheads: Commonplace specializes in coffee so tea doesnt get the attention it deserves. They have the usual range of coffeeshop teas and tisanes.

Cozy couch seating and butcher block tables for 2! Its a coffee shop where many people are deep in thought and studying! I absolutely loved this place!

Best coffee in the country. Support a local business while enjoying the only coffee you will ever want to greet you in the morning! Dont be afraid to ask questions about the coffees, because you wont find the typical dark roast/light roast spectrum. But dont worry, they will help you find a coffee for your taste and Ive never had one there I didnt like. My favorite, though, are Sorens project and summer solstice.Oh yeah, they have good tea, too.

Really nice place to have a coffee

This coffee house imports coffee from the growers and sometimes middlemen when necessary from all over the world. This morning I bought a bag of a Brazilian type for 12 bucks, some others sell for 16. The coffee is the best around and they give a free cup when you buy a bag. and I have them grind it for me. Nice place and plenty of parking. Not hard to get to. I Recommend!!!

This is my go to coffee shop. I have been coming here for years. Their coffee is my gold standard. The people are friends and family to me. Whether I am in the mood to socialize a bit, or plug away at work with headphones in. This is the place to do it. Big big fans of the owners who are some of the sweetest people I know.

Easily the best coffee house in town, possibly the best coffee Ive ever had. Great service, the atmosphere is wonderful, not a single one of their roasts is a miss for me. Love the tabletop games they provide as well, me and some buddies love stopping by to play chess in between classes.

Outstanding coffee shop. Its not obvious how to find it (its on the second floor), but once there, youre golden. Its a great place to grab a coffee and work/study for a few hours. If you just want to sit and sip, you can do that, too, at one of the couches or at the small bar area. Inventive lattes and London fogs, house made syrups, and a few food choices provide endless options. Highly recommend!

The ideal coffee house environment - great space and atmosphere, friendly people, and amazing coffee. I went here at least once a week all through my undergrad and masters degrees and have never had a complaint or bad experience. I only wish that there were more locations!

Ive been spending my time at the Commonplace for the past 12 years! Its a wonderful coffee shop that serves the best coffee around. I appreciate their early and late hours. The coffee itself is some of the best Ive ever had. If youre looking for a quaint place to spend some time, and a great cup of coffee, go here!

Best coffee shop in town

I went here all the time--literally everyday--when I was an undergrad (graduated in 2009). The coffee and atmosphere were always perfect, and 7 years later, it is exactly as I remembered it. Great service, the best lattes around, fantastic atmosphere, and supporting a great family business. I will always miss the Commonplace.

Great coffee

Ive been to many of the coffeehouses in central PA - Commonplace is the best one Ive visited, and have been for a few years. Reasons being: comfortable atmosphere, which encourages people to relax, study, or socialize; excellent coffee, especially the lattes, crafted well with custom housemade flavors; ample, free parking; great location, proximal to IUP campus with multiple entry points; professional baristas, cute ones at that; assorted pastries, limited types but tasteful and rotated. A high mark for me is especially the first point as I never feel rushed to leave or annoyed by the ambiance. Arguably the best place to get a cup between Greensburg, Bedford, and State College.

Commonplace is one of the best roaster/cafe chains in the country - easily holds its own with similar roasters in the Pacific Northwest or anywhere on the planet.

Best coffee sold in Indiana. Period. Exceptionally good and personal service. Great atmosphere. Its my home away from home.

Nice to find a quality specialty shop in small town Indiana. Try a coffee from the Clover or a single-origin (sidamo) espresso. Worth finding tucked away on the IUP campus.

As a former co-publisher of Badgetts eCoffee Journal take my word that this coffee shop is the real deal. They offer one daily roast and today they offered Columbian. It was roasted to perfection!
