Had coffee in the morning which was really good and then came back later and did an hour in the cat lounge. Obviously the cats were amazing and the staff was very helpful and nice. If youre looking to adopt or just want to visit some kittens please consider this place!

I love going here! I get to play with the cats and enjoy treats from the cafe area as well. I just love the concept of a cat cafe! And as far as I know, we dont have other cafes like this in Indy! So the whole thing is just really cool and unique! Also, I really like how theyre always switching up their menu. It keeps things fun and fresh. I highly recommend this place!

Nine Lives Cat Cafe is a great experience and an incredible cause. There’s two rooms: the cafe and the cat lounge. The cafe has your standard fares with a lot of cat art that is available for purchase. The real attraction is the cat lounge.Almost all of the cats in the lounge are available for adoption. They have one resident cat. The cat wrangler introduces you to all of them and gives you some tips about each cat. The cats were all very well behaved when we went. Some of them just wanted to cuddle whereas a few were more active looking to play. Either way, there is something cathartic about petting cats for an hour.For my girlfriend, the best part of the whole experience was seeing the joy on a girls when she was taking her adopted cat home. You could tell how excited she was to have her new cat and it’s always great to see a pet get a new home. At the end of the day, that’s what this place is all about. For roughly $10, you get an hour in the cat lounge and support their great mission.

This place is great:-if you like cats-if you like coffee-if you want to adopt a catIt is very clean and the decorations and art work is all great, there was about ten cats with such different personalities, and plenty to keep us entertained for the hour. Its definitely worth the ten dollars. Silas is my favorite. Shhhh, dont tell the others!

The owner is simply amazing, she is very kind and goes over and beyond. I browsed the kitten/cat area was well kept and the animals where very beautiful and very cheerful. The chai tea is the most amazing drink I’ve ever had and i visit other coffee shops. I absolutely love tea and coffee. The macaroons are vegan and to die for. I’ve never tried anything vegan but I’ll definitely go back for them, along with the chai tea. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

My friend and I did the cat café tea ceremony experience and it was so neat. They have the most precious kitties who all deserve a loving home - wish I could have taken one or five with me, lol. Also, super friendly staff and the experience as a whole was so unique and informative. Plenty of fun art and gifts to purchase that benefit their center. We had a great time and were glad to hear this event will be done in the future to commemorate certain seasons. Definitely check this place out!

Very nice place and very clean. With all the cats there was no odor at all. Bought 2 pictures from a local artist. The barista was really sweet. Good food while you waited for our turn.The kittens and cats were so much fun. Hannah our cat wrangler was attentive to all the cats needs. Chatting with the customers as she cleaned.Would be there every day if I lived in Indy.

Wonderful experience! The cats and kittens were all adorable and playful. There are toys to play with them with, plenty of space and seating to relax, and tasty treats and drinks to enjoy. Many of the cats are available for adoption, so definitely check it out if youre looking to add a feline friend to your family.

This place was clean, unique, and fun! I mistakenly showed up for my visit on the wrong day, and they were still able to accommodate us for the hour with the cats. They did not have to do this due to the mistake on my end, but I so appreciate that they went the extra mile to make sure it was part of our day!

I love this place I love the cats staff are nice and the cats and you can adopt the cats there I love them. The first time I went in here in 2018 it had a weird smell and the cats were kinda mean except the one that was the “meanest” was nice but my recent visit fixed all the problems great place all the problems went away so much improvement I happened you can make more and this might just be my fav place.

Visiting Nine Lives Cat Cafe is a fun experience! The food was exceptional! We had blueberry muffins and hot apple cider! My daughter loved playing with the cats and kittens. It requires an appointment to be made ahead of time and pay $10 per person. The money helps take care of the cats. My daughter is already requesting to return.

Loved it here ! It was nice that it was a good price to go in the cat room and they didn’t charge just to watch like some other places. The prices on the cats and kittens were great especially for the pairs of cats. Will be back !

This place always makes me smile. Im not a coffee drinker but they have hot chocolate and steamers so I go that route. Staff is always kind and the cat room is a delight. Oh, donations are welcomed for cats.

This was seriously the COOLEST coffee shop Ive ever been to! The coffee was AMAZING and the staff and owner are so sweet! Definitely reccomend going if you love cats and love coffee. Best type of stress relief ever 🙌

Awesome place with a nice coffee shop and play room full of beautiful cats waiting for adoption. Indy Humane Society does great work. Make sure to set a reservation for the playroom. I was fortunate enough to pick up my new friend the same day as my reservation (early Friday afternoon visit, submitted my adoption application in time to nail down adoption details with Indy Humane for an open evening pick up slot). Pick ups occur on Wednesday and Friday. The staff was friendly and helpful and did a great job cleaning the play area. If you’re looking to adopt in Indy 9Lives is the place to go :)

The cats are so sweet and loving, you do have to reserve a spot if you want to go sit with them, but all in all the cafe is cozy and very quaint.

I love the concept of the Nine Lives Cat Cafe. I ordered a cold brew coffee and to be honest, it was one of the best tasting cold brews Ive ever had. As much as I wanted to try the macaroons, I sadly did not.The employees were very friendly. Bathrooms were clean. I think there could be more sitting in the front part of the cafe, for those that may not want to visit the cat playroom.We visited the cat playroom and opted for the 30 minute visit, which is $3 per person. The money goes towards helping the cats, so I can get behind this. You can pay $5 per person and visit for 1 hour. All the cats are adoptable as well. We had a nice time and thought the coffee was good.

Great place to relax and see some cute kitties! I’ve been twice now, and I recommend visiting when it’s not busy on a weekday. Such sweet cats! I wish I could take them home!

Super cute place! Loved the atmosphere and the cats get a more at home experience. You do have to make a paid reservation to see the kitties though and only 1-2 applications are accepted per cat. By the time my appointment time came around both the kitties I was interested in adopting were unavailable. It was a fun experience though!

I think this is such a great charitable idea. The coffee was great. Unfortunately, the smell of cat urine hit me right in the face when I walked in. Maybe it was a bad day? Who knows for sure. I recommend going and adopting one or two of the cats that are available. Theyre all super chill and friendly. And I mean the cats and the proprietors.

Definetly was a perfect and therapeutic experience for a Friday after a long work week💕 staff is super sweet, they all have a passion for these kitties and the matcha was super delicious. Hard not to take home a cutie with me but nonetheless I enjoyed their company ☺

This is such a fantastic, unique addition to Indianapolis! You can come here to order some great tasting coffee and treats and just sit at the counter and watch the kitties through the window, its a very relaxing experience. Or you can pay a few dollars (which benefits the Humane Society) and go sit inside with the cats for 30 minutes or 1 hour.Every time I go theyve added more cat artwork and trinkets to the store. I went opening week and there were no decorations in the bathroom, and its fun to watch the decor grow!They sell cat products made by locals and I love their community easel! They hang their favorite drawings on the walls.

What a wonderful idea for a place, you get to drink coffee and hang out with adoptable cats! Plus they have Sea Salt and Cinnamon cupcakes (with vegan options)! The coffee and other drinks are delicious and the baristas are very friendly and helpful. Even if you don’t want to go in the separate room with the cats, they have a wall of windows so you can still see the cute kitties.

I loved my first visit at nine lives cat cafe! I have two of my own furry friends, but I love meeting new kitties so this was purrfect. One day I am hoping to adopt a female and I will definitely be adopting from here! It feels great to support a local small business too with cafe purchases. I just bought a shirt this time, I will have to try the coffee and treats next visit. The atmosphere was nice, the art work was beautiful. You can tell they take pride in keeping the space clean and safe for the humans and kitties. I can’t wait to come back!

This cat cafe is a wonderful place. The only real problem I had with it was they need to update when a cat has an adoption application. I went looking for a specific cat they had and she was already in the process of being adopted. I let my daughter get attached thinking she would get to adopt her, but they told me after my session that she was already spoken for, after repeatedly hearing that I was interested in adopting her. Even with this little hiccup, the cat cafe has a wonderful atmosphere and a good message. I’d honestly go their just to play with the cats, snack on the food, enjoy their coffee, and look at some art from local artist. All they need for a 5 star is to update the adoption status in real time on their website. If not, they should at least do it I. The store where they have their pictures on display.

Great cats, and great snacks. I just wish the ventilation was better (the litter box smell) and the bathroom was more updated.

Super fun way to spend an afternoon. Only complaint was some kids didnt follow the posted rules (waking the cats up, reaching in their furniture etc.) and workers didnt say anything to them after several infractions.

This place is incredible! My crew has made a habit of coming here every month or so. The cats are, for the most part, super friendly and they look very well taken care of. Theyre all shelter cats, so you can adopt if one strikes your fancy! The coffee and tea offerings are of high quality and have never disappointed. They cycle cats in and out from shelters so youre bound to meet a new group of pawtential purrtners every time. The cat lounge is by reservation in 30-minute and 60-minute chunks, but walk-ins might get in if theres nobody in the lounge. And yes, they have pumpkin spice drinks for fall!

My wife and I truly enjoyed the experience. She absolutely loved her coffee and the kitty play time . I had fun too - great mission to help adopt abandoned cats. Definite repeat. Next time our daughter will come with her.

This place is so cute and awesome. They have helped so many cats find homes. The staff are very friendly and the drinks here are absolutely amazing. The barista added little ingredients to one drinks to really being out the flavor. If you have the time you should stop by.

This cute little coffee shop is quiet and super cozy. If you chose, you can pay $5 to hang out with the cats in the Cat Lounge for an hour. All the cats in the Lounge are adoptable, so if you fall in love with one, dont hesitate to bring them with when leaving!The staff is kind and the food and drink is great. There is a big viewing window for all to watch the cats play in the Lounge without fear of getting dirty and contaminating your food. I highly reccommend this place for a nice relaxing afternoon.

I adopted from here and cannot rave enough about the experience. From the cafe to the cat quarters and all the lovely non-feline staffers, it was the perfect way to get cozy with a kitten, cat or two (or several) and perhaps just fall in love. Jay is doing great by the way! Thank you!

The staff is so sweet. as a cat and coffee lover. this seriously a dream come true, no better way to spend an hour than petting sweet kitties and drinking a cup of joe. and its well priced!. I recommend this place to any animal lover. you wont regret visiting!and yes, does smell a bit like a pet store but I dont mind, its to be expected since animals live there.

This was a great experience! The coffee was great, but the cat room was the best part. I would definitely come here to adopt a cat. Everyone was helpful and really cared about all of the cats. If you are close and like cats you have to come here.

Place was awesome! I had went there for my birthday a while back. Cats where all in good health. They would run around and play or lounge like kings. I did not try there food or coffee so I can not speak for it. The only thing I dislike but did not ruin my experience, even though it was spring the room with said cats was EXTREMELY hot. It made me slightly dizzy. The cats seemed to like it on the hotter side so I can understand, but this place made me sweat bullets.

Super fun place. My mom hated cats, wasnt willing to get one. Took her here, we sent in an adoption application right after our visit! The cats were so sweet and gentle. Been here 2 times already, and next week Im going for a 3rd! (The smores hot chocolate is really good)

Wasnt sure what to expect and that made it hard to be let down. $5 to spend an hour with a bunch of cats is a bargain but you are also in there with ten other people if the slot is fully booked. Drink menu has a lot of variety for coffee, tea, and sodas. Try the London Fog!

I love the concept, warm and kind baristas...But, they CANNOT make a drink to save there life. Ive tried multiple times, but they cant even make a peach steamer. (Steamed milk, and peach syrup!) Please get your cafe together!There deserts are good though

Needs prior reservation on the weekends since they allow only 5 to 7 people in with the cats at a time. They serve coffee here and assorted snacks. Not all the cats are friendly and take a hint if they do not want to be petted. The cats can be adopted.

What a wonderful way to spend an hour or two! I visited with my girlfriend during a visit to Indianapolis. It was a chilly, wet day, and our appointment time wasnt until 3pm. We walked in at 2pm to get out of the weather, and they let us sip coffee and wait for our appointment. The staff was polite, the coffee was good, and the cats were snuggly. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Love this place! Great cats and hot drinks. Make sure to respect the rules in the cat room, for the safety of you and the cats. My group didnt have any problems, but we saw a girl get scratched because she didnt respect cat rules. Will be back again.

CATS CATS SO MANY CATS! The atmosphere here is wonderful, and their teas/muffins are really good. My fav cat there was Tang, he was super gentle and tbh a lady killer; I was petting him and he took my hand in his paw and brought it to his face for a lil kiss. The Barista was nice too, I will def be returning! They also sell paintings from local artists and I 100% plan on scooping up some when I can!(=^･ｪ･^=)ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

I love this place! I always order an iced Americano with oat milk and Stevia. Delicious. Their vegan desserts are to die for! They always have a different flavor vegan macaroon and vegan cupcake. Its very dangerous that I found this gem with vegan sweets because I want them all the time. Excellent customer service. All around 5 starts. Oh, the kittens are a plus! Lol.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I want to be with friends and sip coffee! If I didn’t live an hour away, I would absolutely come more often. The cats are very sweet and the staff are well-informed and kind-hearted people. I will be back again!! ❤️
