I enjoy this office- I like Dr. Turner and the technicians who conduct the preliminary eye exam.My problem is with the lab and lack of communication.I ordered lenses for existing frames on 7/29 and was quoted a turnaround time of 2 weeks. The first time Progressive let me know the glasses were in was after I called to ask about the status. They told me the glasses had not passed inspection and were being sent back. I only learned this because I hadn’t heard anything in 2 weeks and reached out.The next time I heard from Progressive was through a text message letting me know my glasses were done- the day after I called to ask about the status. I went to pick them up and found that the lenses were missing the protective coating and the frames were missing one of the removable metal nose pieces. The third time I called, on 9/22, I was told that the glasses were available for me to pick up but that now BOTH of the nose pieces were missing. I was asked if I had been told that Progressive was not responsible for these frames. I was not told this. Evidently, because the frames are not from Progressive, it’s not their fault if they lose or break them. The person I spoke to on the phone on 9/22 let me know she spoke to someone at the store where I bought the frames and they had 2 nose pieces for me. I was to go there and they would install them. I do appreciate her calling them. Unfortunately, she was not precise in what she asked for because when I went to pick up the nose pieces, they did not have what I needed available.I won’t get into how long it actually took the staff member to find my glasses and old lenses when I went to pick them up.I know that because of this review, I won’t be able to go back to see Dr. Turner. If you need a thorough exam, don’t hesitate to choose Progressive. Just know that the lab and some of the other staff leave a lot to be desired.
