Ossip Optometry and Ophthalmology is great! The doctors and staff truly care about the needs of their patients and not just at the location level but all the way up through corporate. Dr Ossip is someone who does whatever the patient needs to maintain good vision. As a patient of the Greenwood office I would recommend this practice to anyone!
I went to gossip for two years he told my mom and i and i was in the the process of glaucoma and he showed us of test and give me test. and made special glasses he took me out side to see how far i could see and then he came back with a speciclasssesal lens. then it was okay. now he still my mom and i that they do not keep records at that office in plainflield Indiana and none of them keep records. i found out every eye doctor must have eyer wear that is affordability for people on medicaid and medicare they do not have any. now this year. the doctor exam my eyes came out lied to me and my mother and said i never said that because we have no records of asny kind. not even records of you buying classes from us. i said why then did i get email saying its time to come eye appointment. i called my insurance they said eye wear is covered from the day you brought your until your benefits kick in until next November. and we have the receipit. now ossip her name was tracy looked two weeks said my eye classs said the lens are off 13 on the left and 1/2 on the right after i saw my primarty care and classes were two small she offered me to make a new pair for free and give me money back for these. she said they would be done on the 16 0r the 20 she never called so i called today she said the lab put them in the wrong frame and made the lens wrong and would mean another week i called insurance compmany and my primary care i need those classes asap because my eyre condtion. i called corporate they nrever called back. they ere all rude ossip been bought out.
I loved the results of my eye exam. Dr. Cater got me set up with some great contact lenses that are working really well. I would advise, however, that you ask for an itemized statement when you get your exam. On my return visit for a recheck, I told the girl at the front desk that I was overcharged for my exam. She looked at my account and disagreed, so I asked for an itemized statement. Im now sitting at my desk looking at my statement. I was charged for a procedure that was covered by my insurance. Now I have to call or go back. Arghh :-(
The Mishawaka Indiana branch is horrible. Their costumer service rep Shenitra was very short, in-personal and unwilling to address the issues I was previously told. Very confrontational and sarcastic! Will not be returning !
The Drs are awesome, we love them. But the prices and customer service is lacking. The selection is small and overpriced and getting someone on the phone is impossible.
The Corporate Office for this medical practice is one that is easy to find if theres an issue and /or if employees need to go for further training. The office is clean and like going home in the sense that everyone knows everyone and treats employees and patients with dignity and respect.
