Eric was at my house installing countertops in my master bathroom. When i came home and looked at the work i found epoxy on our brand new floor. 2 busted holes in our brand new custom vanities. A gouge in one of the vanity doors. Water all inside one vanity and leaking onto subfloor. Several dents and scratches on our brand new drywall.My wife and i were not told of the damage. We had to discover it ourselves. Alerted Eric immediately the same day it happened, July 8. It will be 1 month this week since all the damage has happened and Eric wont respond to texts / answers and hangs up my calls or doesnt answer and wont return my calls.

Not only did Erick and crew do a great job on three slabs in my new kitchen, they had a second chance to replace my island attached table when it was damaged by a contractor. I dare say the second table is even prettier than the first! During both of my experiences, E&E was quick to act on my needs, checked measurements multiple times, and returned to the job site to address any issues. I recommend them to anyone! Note – they carry high quality sinks too.

I have used Erik Chavez and his crew twice now. This most recent time, Erik came out to personally measure for our kitchen granite counter tops. A couple of weeks later, he sends his crew out for the installation, his brother and two other associates. The crew was ready to be done with the installation when I noticed that the back splash was about 3 inches too short, and not covering as high as the previous back splash. They were going to leave my kitchen with 3 inches of torn up drywall showing and tried telling me that was it. I tried to have a conversation with the brother in charge, who spoke broken English. I was able to get on the phone with Erik, who at first did not want to take responsibility for the error. He told me that he was going to charge me for a higher back splash as it wasnt in the original quote, and I challenged him on it stating that it was not my error, he is the one who measured. He ended up fixing the issue and came back and installed it himself.A couple of days later, as I was loading the dishwasher, I noticed scratches on top of the dishwasher. We had just purchases and installed a brand new, out of the box, dishwasher the Wednesday prior to the granite installation on Friday. I personally inspected the dishwasher upon delivery and installation and there was no damage. It is obvious that the damage was caused by the sloppy granite installation.I immediately called Erik to notify him of the issue. He apologized and asked me to send the invoice from the dishwasher that I purchased and stated that he would send me a check in the mail. I waited a week and that check never came. I called Erik and he said, well, how about you go ahead and order the dishwasher, and when you get it, I will come pick up the old one and bring you a check. I said No, I am not ordering a new dishwasher until I have money in my hand. No response.A week or so later I texted Erik that he can send me the full amount of the dishwasher or we can split the cost of the damage and not order a new dishwasher, which I think was a reasonable and fair resolution. No response.2 weeks later I texted him again, this time letting him know that I need a resolution. He responded that his brother has proof that the dishwasher had prior damage and has a photo of it prior to installation. Erik stated that he was upset to think that I would accuse him and his company of this. I requested to see the photo, and of course, it was never provided. This crew did not have the foresight to take a prior photo, and if they did and noticed prior damage, why didnt they discuss it with me prior to the installation and ensure we agreed that they did not cause the damage? They didnt do these things because there was no prior damage.Erik is a crook and his crew is sloppy and incompetent. Go somewhere else for your granite needs, there are lots of reputable businesses around Indy. I am tired of contractors not taking responsibility for their mistakes.UPDATE: After posting this review and filing a complaint with the BBB, Erick sent me a check for the damage to the dishwasher. Issue has been resolved.
