My favorite vinyl shop in Indy. Always enjoy visiting the store. They have a great selection and the staff are always friendly.

We got Flood by Boris after we were sure it sold out everywhere on release day. Some other great, unexpected finds, too. We bought coffee beans and got a free mug! plus reusable, branded totes. We will definitely return. Thanks for the fresh wax and friendly smiles!

SUPER friendly staff, they were kind enough to point us to a couple of restaurants in the area that we could grab a bite at. They also have a big and nice selection of CDS vinyls and cassettes. Plus in the free poster pamphlets I was able to find a sick Greta Van Fleet one. I’d definitely check this place out!

A Great Record Store experience and well worth the 3.5 hour trip from Illinois! I have yet to find a record store with such passion and character where the staff was so knowledgable in a variety of genres. Their selection of both new and used vinyl was impressive with a well organized collection of used Soul, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Electronic that was both a pleasure to go through and extremely fair on pricing. The more common vinyl that weve all drudged through time and time again was separated from the core of their collection which made the experience of looking even that more enjoyable. There is definitely something special going here and I couldnt recommend Indy CD & Vinyl enough!

Really friendly staff. I cant say much aside from that, its a store that sells albums and even record players, but as someone who gets anxious asking staff for help, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Haven’t been collecting vinyl very long, but Indy CD and Vinyl is THE place to go if you need anything. They always have an amazing selection and the staff is always super kind and helpful! My most recent experience had me coming here for the July 17th RSD drops. I came in hoping to get the Bad Omens Live+Unplugged release. The line moved fairly quickly and I got my record and was able to go home in no time at all. When I got home I found out that one of the LPs had an imperfection from either the pressing or the cutting. When I brought it back, they were unfortunately sold out, but the staff called around to other record stores in the area to try to find me another copy! Eventually they found me one and I’m left here loving yet another experience at Indy CD & Vinyl! They will make sure to go above any beyond for you and I can’t recommend them enough!

Great selection of new and used vinyl! Only downside is it takes me 45 minutes to get there, love the mystery bags great way to get exposed to music you probably wouldn’t buy or actively look for. I hope if they open another store they choose Plainfield because there is nothing out here as far as music stores go!

Great little spot tucked inside of the Broad Ripple area. Has a little bit of everything as far as music goes and is reasonably priced. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning. 👍🏿

Ok, these folks are 100% top notch. No questions asked. Their focus is on customer service A1. I am not a music geek or audiophile, and frankly get annoyed with the kids these days with all of their chitchat about which speaker does what, or which turntable has the cleanest whatever. All I know is that I like music and have some records that I wanted to listen to. Spotify and the others are all good to satisfy a need, but really only good for my drive home in my truck. Annie, Andy, and the crew listened to what I wanted, on a budget, & found a should setup for my situation. I can’t tell you what it is that I now have, but it’s a hundredfold better than what I had (no operable turntable for one). I had a budget and some old records. Now I can truly enjoy the records that I’ve had for decades, collecting dust, in addition to all of the options the shop offers (that’s a whole other story). Anything that your heart desires, Indy Cd & Vinyl has it, or will find it!Final note: I bought my new system (turntable and Bluetooth speakers) over a year ago. I came back to write a review because they are tops! I will not buy music or equipment anywhere else. Ever again. Indy CD & Vinyl is much more that a record shop. They are our community neighbors, and more importantly, our friends, who listen and value our attention. Spend your money here.

Staff was very nice and the vinyl selection was great! Parking was not very convenient. We had to wait outside for a bit due to their COVID restrictions, but we appreciated the staff keeping their customers safe.

Best selection in the city. It has been cool to see the shift from compact disc to vinyl. Has a play area for kids. They will help you find some obscure releases from many bands.

Great shop. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The used section is always PACKED with new goodies on a weekly basis. Its a great shop to dig around on the reg. As far as prices go, theyre one of the more pricey shops in Indy. That being said, this shop if definitely worth checking out.

Great guys working in there when my girlfriend and I stopped by to browse. Extensive organized collection. Also they noticed that she was going to get a Third Man Records vinyl and showed her a BBC radio edition that had this wicked colored vinyl and also let her know about items that they were getting ready to put out. All in all we will definitely be going back, the place is amazing.

Great place to dig for some off-the-beaten-path titles. Their jazz selection seems to be the standout as far as I can tell. Never left here empty handed, that is for dang sure!

The workers were very helpful without being overwhelming. I like to browse around and look at the vinyl before making my decision, and they didnt make me feel rushed at all. They have a large selection, too.

Awesome record shop. Well diversified selection with decent prices. I had to grab a couple mystery bags, which are a mix bag of 6 vinyls for $3.33, and Im pleased that although the sleeves werent the prettiest, the threads were clean as can be for less than $1 a piece.

This is a record store I always enjoy visiting while Im in town. They have a great selection, a pleasant shop and good staff. They do a good job of striking the balance between stocking new prints, used and rare/ special release stuff.

Marginal record store which was way over priced, especially the used vinyl. Too many obscure artists and had very minimal record store day selections. Is in a part of town with pay for parking.

This store is the best! The only record store I’ll shop in. Always super helpful, lots of suggestions of other things I might like, and if they don’t have what I’m looking for, the order comes in REAL fast. If you have kiddos, they do a monthly kid’s day, and the owners and all of the staff are very involved with music/bands/djing in some way or another!

Friendly and helpful staff, cool space with even some kids space at the back, and a very big selection! Also offers a good number of collectors pieces and tees and other fun stuff. Basically if youre looking for vinyl in Indy, you should pay a visit!

Nice setup with a very in depth selection. Prices are higher then online but that is to be expected with a brick and mortar. They also carry a selection of tshirts and posters. There is also a kids area where they can play while you shop for records. Employees are always nice and helpful.

By far the most incredible music shop Ive ever been to; the selection was absolutely incredible. The layout was very nice and everything was organized in a very intuitive fashion. Last but not least the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I dont live in indy but always make a trip up exclusively to visit indy cd and vinyl they always have anything im looking for. And have the biggest metal section Ive ever seen at a record store. The staff is just so cool too

Nostalgic vinyl record shop, some things make a worthwhile come back, and this place might be this decades new thing. Definitely worth a visit to browse our musical heritage in vinyl form.

Indy CD & Vinyl has a great selection - dont get me wrong, but I always seem to have to look in 2 or more spots to find what I want. The store is quite large, so you wont feel like you have to move over people.Records tend to be a bit more expensive here than other local shops Ive noticed.

Stores like this are what kills vinyl record collecting. Do not expect to be treated fairly at this store.

For a record store, Id expect a bigger selection of used vinyl. Theres far more space devoted to new vinyl and re-issues, which comes with a heavier price tag. Ive had better luck at antique stores. For me, its not worth trying to park in Broad Ripple while swerving around all the hipsters.

Indy CD And Vinyl is my favorite record store for many reasons. Huge selection of new and used vinyl. A very friendly staff and very helpful and knowledgeable about pretty much all forms of music. It doesnt have that pretentious record store staff vibe in anyway. Which to me is probably my favorite attribute. Annie has also provided a very female friendly environment which is hard to do in the music store world. Plus how many record stores have a kids day? So get over there and check them out and even if you cant they have an amazing website that can deliver those gems right to your doorstep.

Stopped here before the Clutch concert yesterday. Theres a big selection of both cds & vinyl here. The prices were decent & both of the employees were friendly.
