Nice market with a variety of items: from grocery to wines and regular market stuff.Very well organized and easy to go around. It was not so busy and didnt need to wait too long on the line.Clerks are attentive and polite, providing a good service. Definitely will come back for more grocery!

Clean wide isles plenty of checkouts open. Very good selection.

The employees are friendly and knowledgeable even during these unusual times. This really shows the professionalism and expertise of this company.

Overall it is a good HyVee with the usual selections. The only bad part is the horrible restaurant/bar that only seems to be used by employees. It is a complete waste of space. And I am not going in there to order from the deli like they want me to.

Great grocery store! Not a discount store - know that before going in. Prices are better than a lot of big city places.

The bar staff is great! I know, bar staff at hyvee? Yes! Cheap and never busy. Covid friendly-ish as public spaces can be right now. All staff in the bar wear masks. You can sit outside, too. Definitely a hidden gem for people who dont want crowds and love chatting with bartenders! They keep their taps flowing with mostly local and craft been so thats another plus!

I love to stop in here for lunch and get their to-go Asian meals. It never gets old. They also have a large and well organized grocery selection. Very friendly and helpful staff. No mask necessary.

Good location that has a relatively easy access and large parking lot. Wide selection of products and a helpful, friendly staff. I do wish that the store would return to 24 hour service once they are able to return to normal hours from Covid19(or at least close the store at/around 2am to allow for later night shopping). Checkout can take some time if you are shopping during busy hours, but otherwise they are quite efficient at the check out lines so you can be in and out quickly and on your way!

Hy-Vee wont accept can and bottle returns. The cashiers are paid slave wages. The music is super loud in the store. None of the product placement makes sense. They have a million products but only order 5 of each so they are frequently out of stock. Most products are at least $1 more than the exact same product at Walmart. The food prepared in the store is super gross, like nasty overpriced egg salad or dried out fried chicken from two days ago. The corporation lobbies the state. They even have a Hy-Vee day dedicated to them by governor Reynolds which is super creepy because its not based on goodwill or charity.

I live with in a short distance from Hy-Vee and it is so convenient location for lots of people who shop there

Solid experience. Got some hot food - fried chicken and chinese.The hychy was great. Love the broccoli beef. And the server was really generous with his scoops.The chicken could have been more fresh. I dont know why they make so much chicken at one time.

Hyvee is slowly becoming too much of a big box store, overworked employees, low morale, and customers are never right :/Goodbye Hyvee I will no longer be shopping at any of your locations. There are still some good hyvee, but the way the company is going, Im not going to give them more money. I may just be one customer with a family to shop for, but I will convince many of my other family members and friends to start avoiding this company.Crazy how its employee owned, but when I speak to employees who have been there for years, their number one complaint is underpayed.Bye Bye!

I have frequently shopped at this hyvee location for the past 5 years and have never been unable to find an expected item even during the initial covid 19 panic. Every staff member I have interacted with was courteous and properly trained. There are always shopping carts and never more than a 10 minute wait at the registers.I highly recommend this business.

If you want a good first job, hy-vee is a great choice! take it from someone who works there. just dont apply to this particular store- there are a select one or two people here that cause the store to run more dysfunctionally than a relationship on the bachelor.

I went to this location’s Starbucks and ordered a passion tea sweetened. They accidentally put caramel syrup in at at first, but quickly corrected their mistake when I informed them

They have amazing staff dont be afraid to ask for help they do it quick and then they dont leave you just wondering around they will ask you if you need help.

Drive the extra distance to highway 6 or Coralville. I don’t think I’ve been in the store 1 time and not had to wait in the checkout for at least 10 minutes. Save more time driving to the other stores with better service rather than waiting in line for 15 minutes. 630 on a Sunday, pretty normal time to get groceries, 3 lanes open and back up 10+ people with full carts.

Shop at Hy-Vee about 3 times a week. Typically employees of all duties & responsibilities acknowledge someone walking in their direction (look at me & smile or say Hi). Today, there were over 10 employees that did not make any any kind of effort including the gentleman gathering carts in the parking lot. As I placed my empty cart in the corral, I said Hope you have a nice evening. Again no reaction, response or even glance. The cashier Onna was the only person who smiled & acknowledged my existence. Lately, this is not the Hy-Vee I have grown up going to for 40+ years.

Goodness gracious this store is big! Took me a while to leave because I kept getting lost looking through all the Isles. They literally have every single thing you can imagine. Like a combo of every other grocery chain in one store. Wish I lived closer to this location...

The Customer service lady went out of her way for me when I was getting sick. She got my Stamps then she got me a scooter so I could get my few groceries I needed!!!What a caring person.

Meh....Never any surprises. Our state is blessed to have heaps of lowa made products, but you wont find but a couple here. Clean store, staffed by tired college kids & managed by disengaged supervisors.

Terrible service in the deli...waited a half hour while the guy slowly got 10 items for a guy who couldnt make his mind up about anything..4 people waited while 3 pony tailed guys did nothing...and would not even look up or at the customers waiting...wasted precious Easter time...ridiculous

I like the wide variety they offer. Workers are generally helpful and store is clean. The prices are on the high side and have gotten higher since covid 19. Really dislike the fact that they overuse plastic packaging!! The produce department is the biggest offender.

Love Hyvee meat market

The posted prices always come up different at the cash register at least one item per visit. They have the nerve to ask if I found everything I wanted at the cash register when a lot of the shelves are empty. Even if I say no I didnt find everything they dont do anything about it. Im over 50 years old and I still have to show my ID to buy alcohol. None of these things happened at Fairway and Im going there from now on.

Great experience as always with this location with the exception that the bagger put my loaves of bread in a bag then proceeded to place a gallon of milk on top of them completely smashing the loaves. But other than that, it was good as always

They carry a lot of brands, its always best and clean. Im very disappointed that their leadership chose not to be leaders in the corporation and require face masks, but as long as they will shop for and bring my groceries to my car, Ill support them. This store is my favorite Hy - Vee in the corridor, they have more of the things I like and always so clean and neat. Their market grille is very good, or at least it was pre-COVID, I dont know now.

Edit: This hy-vee makes their own pot sticker sauce!This store always has great deals on meat, and very quick check lanes. Very efficient team. Some stores the managers will watch lines pile up, but not at this hy-vee. Even at peak busy hours this is your best bet in iowa city for any grocery needs.

Almost never disappointed, when I shop at this location, although I noticed recently, alot less customer traffic on the sales floor, & 4x more orderpickers, which in my book, Is a plus!

First time I got food from the case. It was horrible. Ribs weren’t cooked all the way, Mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite, and the vegetables were dry and looked as if they had been sitting out all day. Then I made the same mistake by thinking it was just a bad experience or bad day. I came back today and got the meatball, vegetables and cheese potatoes. The meatball was dry and tasted like cardboard. The vegetables had no taste. The cheese mash potatoes were great. But this is the last time I get food from the case. Very disappointed.
