Harbor freight is the best tool place in Iowa City. They have great sales quality tools very inexpensive. You can get a half inch drive torque wrench in there for 20 bucks. They have huge selection of drills and impacts and grinders and Sanders and welding stuff electrical stuffs a little slim but overall they do a really good job of everything they have in the store.

Always love shopping here. We always come in for just one item and end up leaving with so much more. The employee are always friendly and willing to help find what you need.

Seems they dont carry everything. LoLEven the cashier was surprised. No flux for soldering! Weird. Soldering irons but Not flux. Hey Management... fix that.

The staff were also tools. They acted like I wasnt cool enough to be spending money there. And now that I have a tool box and set of wrenchs, Ill drive a little farther down the road to another established business for tools as I need. It may cost more, but Ill pay a little more for professionalism and courtesy.

Its a new store so the place is sparkling clean. They have a nice variety of tools from wrenches to safes. I really like how they give you a couple options to choose from to better fit individual needs. Great virus awareness and protocols.

This is a new store, big, clean and the employees were friendly. I returned my item and she looked it up on the computer and found my extended warranty. Even took out the batteries for me. Definitely go back there. :)

Although they have a large inventory at seemingly low prices, quality is a REAL issue. I purchased their AA batteries, and well before they lost their charge they leaked a icky goo all over the inside of a portable radio that no longer works. And a drill bit set with 1/4 in socket bases were so out of round that they are basically unusable. These are just two of a larger number of quality issues I have encountered. I now limit my purchases to items that are disposable, where quality does not matter.

Your typical Harbor Freight. This one was a little above the rest as there were two young gentlemen working there that really knew their company. I broke down in Iowa city and they had me out of there in minutes with what I needed. Glad I chose this place. Saved me some time!

Found the clamps I was looking for with the able assistance of a staff member. These clamps were a great deal and just the thing I wanted. They are much cheaper at the store than the on-line alternatives.

I have come to enjoy just checking out what they have. I even got a deal on the 2 year discount membership, only cost me $18 but the employees remembered us and weve made several visits in last month, and anyway with a purchase I made that day they had a special. Plus I had found an online code coupon. Everything Ive bought there so far no issues, but I will say the cheapest pack of double and triple A batteries dont last long at all, well mine anyway, remote Ive had to change weekly and its not in use that frequently. A older customer told me he found the mid priced, I think they are orange last him better.

I praised God when Harbor Freight came to town. The management and staff are incredible.

Nice store, clean, helpful staff, great prices! I was thrilled to hear that a Harbor Freight would be opening up in Iowa City so I wouldnt have to drive to Cedar Rapids. I finally got over to check out the new store as I was needing a blood pressure cuff of all things. I asked a staff member what part of the store they would be in and not only did they know, they took me right over to them. I was already going to be coming back because of the prices, but having friendly and helpful staff (along with a brightly lit and clean store) just makes it that much better.

There products are worth the money. Dont let the low prices fool you. I have been doing business with this company for years. It is always a treat to venture through their extensive array of tools and miscellaneous items.

Tools always improving. Great for the backyard tinkerer. Prices are climbing but so is the quality. For a one time use tool there is no where better to shop.

A lot of stuff in the store. Some real good prices too; you just have to be careful and know what youre getting. Not a lot of top tier brand names, but some good items for sure.
