We adopted a galah last month named Bunnie and she has been such a sweetheart since we brought her home. She loves cuddles and everyone in our family adores her. The process for a adopting her was very easy and the shop was super helpful. When we went in the store the first time we just went in to ask questions about adopting but once we saw Bunnie we quickly fell in love. I reached out to Dallas Parrots looking for a new birb. I was very specific and detailed in my communication about our situation. We already have an English Budgie - male and wanted to make sure we found a good match for a new feathered baby. They contacted me and we spoke on the phone about when I could come by and meet the baby. I was pretty dead set on not taking her home that day BUT she was just too perfect. I’ve been on pretty much constant communication with DP about Aurora and how she’s doing. They always respond within a day or less. I opted to get the DNA (Bc we were 98% positive she was a female but wanted to be sure) and the 3 parasite tests since we have another birb and live in an apt currently and keeping them separate would’ve been very difficult. I figured if no other birds are sick she can’t be sick and DP informed me that’s not always the case. You really have to get the tests because birds like humans can be carriers and never have symptoms. We kept the babies apart for the first few weeks and then all the tests came back clear! She is a she :) I am forever grateful for this process being so wonderful.I was skeptical at first about buying my second feather baby because I got my English Budgie from a woman at her home. She couldn’t remember how old my baby was and he was in a tiny cage with his sibling and I didn’t know how this experience should be. It was very stressful taking him for his first vet visit and everything not knowing his age.Well DP eased all my worries! They have a huge aviary and all the birds have nice big cages and the nursery is separate from the other birds. He knew exactly when my baby hatched and everything! He is obviously a professional and this experience was AMAZING! Nothing like my previous.Here is a picture from the day I brought her home. Dallas Parrots is an absolutely amazing store. The group of people that run the store are incredibly knowledgeable about their animals and can answer any questions you have about being a bird owner. They respond promptly to messages and were super friendly.My son and I went and spent about 3 hours in the store, but it did not feel like 3 hours. The staff is incredibly friendly. And the store is super clean. Their birds are all obviously very well loved and attached to the people in the store. We didnt leave with the bird I expected to leave with. But he chose me while we were walking around. I could not be any happier with my visit. Will definitely recommend them to anyone needing anything to do with birds.

We had a great time at Dallas Parrots! We really appreciate the staff taking their time with us as this was our first foray into bird ownership. We got two quakers today for our son and he loved it. Extremely happy with the customer service and provided we were new to buying birds they were extremely patient in explaining things to us. I am rating 2 stars because although we love our new baby bird, we felt that we were taken advantage of as first time bird parents.The person who helped was very friendly and was very knowledgeable about the bird we were purchasing, but once we confirmed we wanted the bird we were taken around the store to get all the bird’s needs. When we were being told what we would need for the bird, the person helping us would say we need this and we need that and not necessarily ask us if we wanted it or even tell us the price. We would have to ask how much something was and it just started not to feel right as we went on. The guy had told us they buy items on Amazon and bought them in bulk so I trusted he was giving us a fair price. After I got back home I shopped around for the same products like the hand feeding formula, cage cleaner and cage liner and there is a significant difference in prices. The most shocking was the cage cleaner and formula. On Amazon, the cage cleaner is less than $4 and we paid about $14 for it and the hand feeding formula is about $9, but we bought 2 10 oz packs for $25.50 each. :/ I had actually stopped searching for the difference in prices because I was starting to get upset and we had already made the purchase so I am taking it as a lesson learned.If you are looking to buy a bird, this would be a good place to do so, but the food, cage cleaner and other items I would buy on Amazon or at your local pet store. I also would recommend bringing your own portable cage to take your new addition home in.We love our new bird and has been a great addition to our family, but the products/items being sold are over priced.

Fahad is arguably the best parrot breeder in North Texas, if not all of Texas. These guys are top level pros with a beautiful clean store, extremely docile hand raised birds and true love for the customer and birds. Got my African grey baby yesterday! Hes 3 months old. Hes super sweet and you can tell hes been loved. Fahad helped me get comfortable with him, sat with me for an hour letting us warm up. People were nice..but EVERYTHING was massively overpriced. A bag of food that I normally get for my Conure from Amazon or even another store was nearly double the price at this place. And some of their birds were 3 to 4 times higher priced then anywhere else. It also seemed like they didnt take very good care of the birds. Dirty water, dirty cages, the the birds feathers were a mess. Wont be going back.

I would give Dallas Parrots 10 stars if I could. This is truly a family owned and run business. They are completely dedicated to providing the sweetest most loving birds in Texas. I am so fortunate they are located near me in Flower Mound.First, they have an amazing selection of parrots. Beautiful colors, healthy bright eyes and loving natures.I purchased a baby green cheek conure as my first parrot. The owners knew this little baby boy’s history because they knew the parents. As I held him he immediately allowed me to cuddle him and rub his neck. Dallas Parrots on-site bird trainer was very helpful in educating me in the care of the conure breed. And, let me know he could go home with me as soon as he graduated hand feeding and could “step up”. A few weeks later, I went to pick my baby boy “Charlie”. The shop was very busy. Everyone was enjoying playing with birds. So, I sat and waited as “Charlie” was being prepared to come home. I heard a bird chirping next to me and I looked down to see a little cinnamon conure looking up at me. I put my hand out and this sweet thing jumped on and ran up my arm to my neck where she snuggled and refused to leave. I fell in love. So, needless to say, Charlie had an immediate companion. They are so in love with each other. Now, as if that is not enough. A few days later “Charlie” got a bell clapper stuck on his lower beak. It was in there deep and I couldnt remove it. I was in a panic. I texted one of the owners at 10:30 pm and he immediately responded with the name of his preferred emergency bird vet. Needless to say Charlie is perfectly fine. Word to the wise, dont by cheap toys from Petco. Buy quality bird toys from parrot owners who sell to bird shops like Dallas Parrot Shop.Thank you Fahad, Rana and Rachel for helping me make the perfect choice of parrots for my family.I am a customer for life.

My mom and I went to Dallas Parrots today, having cautious expectations because we’ve had trouble finding someone reliable in the bird business.I can only say that we were blown away. Fahad exhibited extensive knowledge in the aviary field, teaching us much. And the best part, we came home with a beautiful Quaker who is the absolute sweetest. Perfect place to get your baby bird! We picked out our blue Indian Ringneck at 5 weeks old and had the pleasure of being able to handfeed him (which helped us bond with him.) Dallas Parrots was incredibly helpful in getting us the right selection for our home and family. I recently purchased a baby blue Quaker parrot who is 8 weeks old as of now. We had a DNA test done on who we now know is a he and have decided to namehim Marco. My boys ages 10 and 4 are in true love with baby Marco. He is being hand feed as of now but is slowly being introduced to fruits and bird food. He is such a joy to be in the home. We quickly learned how intelligent he is. He was in the starter cage for about a week and he learned how to pull the cage door up and escape. He can’t fully fly yet so it was cute but alarming. Needless to say he has a fully assembled cage that is big enough for him and all his toys. Dallas Parrots was very informative with the mini bird orientation I was given before driving off with my parrot and has been nice enough to still answer any questions I have had within the weeks time of us having baby Marco that I may have had. Thanks for being exotic bird breeders and I look forward to coming back for another bird maybe a year from now for Marco to have a friend (outside of the family) . 🥰

I have to update my recommendation because I’ve had Frankie my Quaker for a little over a month. Frankie has truly become my best friend. We spend every second together. I chose to give him the best quality of life by not caging him and allowing him to free fly in the house wherever he pleases. Frankie spent maybe 1 day in his cage and that’s it. We installed several perches throughout the house but his favorite spot is on my chest or my shoulder. Originally he was a bird for my 11 year old daughter but she just didn’t dedicate the time he needed and he naturally bonded with me as his care taker. We are true companions now. We wake up daily at 8:00am have breakfast together and then head to my at home office to work. Throughout the day Frankie keeps me company and has become my little co-worker. After work we shower together lol he loves when the water hits him. Then he ends his day by falling asleep on my shoulder and chest. He is learning to talk and I am confident that any day now he will say his first word or phrase. I know this because he understands everything I say. When I call to him he comes, when I tell him where we are headed to the office or to the kitchen he beats me there.after I am so grateful I found him. My life wouldn’t be the same without him. I suffered a miscarriage in August and I think my human instincts were pushing me in the direction to care for a tiny creature and Frankie was the missing piece. I can’t express how much I love and adore my baby bird he is my son and we are a bonded flock. Everyday we grow together and learn new things. I’ve learned so much about parrots within this short time. The most common misconception is that they mimic but don’t comprehend. I’m here to say that is a flat out lie. Parrots understand everything. They are intelligent creatures right up there with apes and dolphins. closer. Thank you Dallas Parrot Place for finding me my sweet boy. Life is better with Frankie. I highly recommend anyone wanting a parrot to please research the time and dedication that they need for a quality of life. Remember they are not really like cats or dogs they want to be a companion. Little light of joy, that is how we can describe our little quaker girl. Bought her a bit before she was weaned and honestly, we really enjoyed handfeedind her. The babies are brought up with much time and love. We had visited a couple of other hand fed fids but nope, huge difference. There is a big difference between hand fed and hand TAMED. Go, meet them, they are a wonderful family and it resembles in the parrots. -Fairuz

I had been in search of a conure for some time now since they are impossible to find around where I live with the pandemic. Many places aren’t shipping and I was beginning to think my luck was running thin. I came across Dallas Parrots online and inquired about one of their birds. They’re customer service is above and beyond the standard, and they were not only willing to ship me my sweet bird, but they were also so flexible with the timing on when I got her due to a life transition. Many people inquired about the one I had chosen but they held on to her for me and I am forever grateful. She came to me as healthy as can be, and after several days of adjusting, she has bonded so incredibly well with me. We have our little routine everyday now, and she’s one of the most affectionate birds I’ve ever encountered. Fahad and his wife took great care of me and my little companion. Thank you so much!

My experience with dallasparrots was very good . The place is so clean . They are on time and they have different kind of birds . I just bought my sun conure yesterday and I love it . He is still hand feeding and I like to do it !! Also they give you all tests that your bird need and even they tell you it’s a female or male by the test . For sure I recommend everyone to join here to buy a nice bird .

I was searching for a Green Cheek Conure. I knew I did not want to buy a bird from a pet store because you are not sure if it was hand raised. I was searching Google and contacted Dallas Parrots. I was impressed as the owner and his precious family hand raise each and every bird. The attention given my bird made him vary Tame and friendly.The Dallas Parrot owner (Fahad) supplied us with the DNA test results along with a copy of the lab results. We adopted 3 beautiful babies from Dallas Parrot and couldnt be happier with our flock. The fact that they were DNA and disease tested was great but also having a wellness vet visit was amazing. The process was fast, almost too fast as we had to reconnect for hatch dates and are finishing weaning ourselves.Our two jenday sisters and sun conure bestie have quickly become a source of joy in our daily lives.

Fahad is the best, and his birds are wonderful!Hes gone way above and beyond to create a clean, safe, and comfortable place to visit the birds, and hes a smart and professional businessman.I got Lizzie, a female Solomon Island Eclectus, from Dallas Parrots a couple weeks ago, and shes the sweetest thing - healthy, affectionate, and were great buddies already.I went there intending to purchase a different type of bird, but Fahad took the time to answer all my questions and let me spend time with the different birds, and then guided me to the right kind of parrot for me and my home.He sent me home with a travel cage, a bird toy that his sweet daughter made (she loves all the birds and they love her), and a free initial health check with his vet. The vet was wonderful and she and her staff raved about how beautiful, healthy, and sweet-natured Lizzie was.I couldnt recommend Dallas Parrots more highly. Its clearly the premiere place to go in the Dallas area.

I bought a beautiful Crimson Belly Conure from Fahad last night. We previously purchased a Blue Opaline Quaker from him a short time ago. I highly recommend Dallas Parrots. Fahad takes excellent care of his birds and is very knowledgeable.Update: I now have a beautiful Pineapple Conure from Dallas Parrots. My baby was kept and weaned for me until she was ready to come home. She is very sweet and has been cared for with love. Once again I recommend Dallas Parrots for anyone looking for a loving bird. The staff cannot be beat. They take great care of their customers. Fahad you are the best 🐦
