ADT has to be the absolute worst company to have to protect your home. There sub contractors safe heaven is just as bad. We had our alarm installed into our brand new home in October of 2020 and have been having issues since day freaking one. We have complained and complained time and time again. An abundance of techs have been to our home to fix the issues and it still goes unresolved. When we talk about getting out of the contract due to poor service and tech experience we are advised that we have to pay an early term fee. They lie and say you are on the schedule and you take time out of your day and no one shows and they dont call to tell you nor put you on the schedule. They say a branch manager is going to call and no one calls. My home was almost broken into three weeks ago and my alarm did not go off. Guess who was my alarm, my freaking next door neighbor. You think ADT really cares about their customer? No they dont. Its all about the money to them, they could careless if you and your family is safe while so call monitoring your home. I have made a second full time job out of calling them and complaining. At this point i hate i ever had any dealings with adt(safe heaven) who ever put this mess in our home. If i could give them negative stars i would. No one is being held accountable for anything but us being bonded to this scam of a contract. If they come to your door dont even open it your are selling your soul to the devils themselves and they will get you for all you have. In the middle of a pandemic and no sense of urgency or anything is shown not once.
I do not recommend it, 1st know that they install it are subcontractors and owners of the contract that you sign.customer service is a disaster, the times I have, called to report that I have a lot of problems with your product they send me to speak to SAFETY STREET because ADT is not responsible, it seems to me that ADT is a screen and not a company, DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT !!!I thought I was talking to an ADT representative when I let him into my house because he had an ADT ID (the bait) around his neck, but no, they are subcontractors and owners of the contract that you sign.I just want to cancel this service and forget that ADT and SAFETY STREET exist, but since I called 10 days after the installation I can’t cancel and I told them that I did not want to pay so much for a service that does not serve me and I CAN’T CHANGE TO A MORE ECONOMIC PLAN BECAUSE 3 DAYS PASSED AND I NO LONGER HAVE THE OPTION TO CHANGE THE PLAN !!!THIS IS A LIE 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
First, I have been an ADT customer for over 25 years!Today, I have been on phone with them for 1 hour and 20 minutes trying to cancel my service. My contract is up May 14th and I told them that was when I wanted to cancel. They told me it would cancel on the 12th and I would owe a $50.00 early cancellation fee. I said no, I want to cancel on May 14th. She said she had to put me on hold and talk to book keeping. That was 30 minutes ago. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LEECHES. Once they latch onto you, they will not let go.
Purchased a new security system and had ADT come out and prewire our home; only to find out they did all wireless. Also, they added an extended warranty that I didnt ask for, which you will need, due to the numerous service calls they have had to make and all the equipment they have had to replace.DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!!!!! Worst service I have had from a provider.
I have been trying to get an issue resolved with ADT for 2 weeks now and nobody has helped me even the slightest. I work for American Bank and we have ADT security as our bank security system and have had them for years now. We will be terminating our commercial contract with them for their poor customer service.
Pirates is what they are. I would never use ADT again. They are thieves!
ADT is terrible. Ive been paying for service for quite some time. However, the one time our alarm sounded while we were on vacation, we received no call. It turned out to be our cat tripping the motion sensor, but its really concerning that we received no call from the monitoring center. We just happened to notice the alarm went off when we logged in to the app. How do I know Im really getting the service Im paying for?So, I go through the trouble of calling to cancel service, because ADT obviously wasnt monitoring my home for some period of time. The rep told me it would be $500 to cancel my current service, regardless of the fact that they havent provided the paid-for service through the contract of its entirety. Ive held up my side of the agreement, but they hadnt. ADT hides behind a ridiculous cancellation fee to keep people from leaving. I cant wait for my contract to be up to be done with it.
If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible all around. They came to my home under the guise of $99 installation fee and $27 a month service. When the tech, John, arrived we walked around my home and he laid on the scare tactics. Finally he presented me with the services that I needed. We made a few adjustments then he got started installing. When he was finished (after almost 4 hours) it was time to sign the paperwork. He asked for my debit card to set up the monthly fee, then and ONLY THEN did he tell me that I owed a little over $1200 for the installation. I asked him to wait while I called my husband. While I was out of the room, he charged my card. I told him to leave right away and send another tech to get the system out of my house. He told me my money would be refunded first thing in the morning after I called the head office which was already closed for the day. As soon as he left I called the office which was not closed and they informed me it would be at least 15 days before the system was taken out and before my money was returned. All in all, it was a horrible experience. No one did what they said they were going to do. Manager rarely called back. I was blamed for my dog and cat distracting me. I was excited about getting a home security system but instead I got robbed. HORRIBLE!UPDATE: After 10 months you just respond? Are you serious? The only thing you could do to make it up to me and my family would be to give us a free security system for life. Your company lied and stole from me. I would never do business with your company.
My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease over a year ago and we moved her from her home to the memory care unit of an assisted living facility. Shortly after she signed a contract with ADT and had the system installed, she set the alarm off about 6 times because she either forgot the pin number to disable the alarm or forgot that she even had a security system. She had to pay about $500 in fines from the county police department for false alarms. I have POA for my mother and I called ADT to see if we could terminate the contract early without penalty due to the fact that my mother no longer lives in her home and we are paying $45/month for a service that we stopped using shortly after it was installed. The ADT representative said that we could probably terminate the contract without penalty if I provided documentation of her diagnosis, information about the facility in which she lives, and POA documents.I forwarded the documents to them and nearly 3 months later, they have yet to contact me regarding the cancellation request.This is one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with a company and will never recommend nor use ADT again!
Signed up and waß told one price and then 3 months later when price was to change they told me I wasnt going to get it. They lie. Watch out they will say anything to get you to sign up,
