First time ever going to a phone repair shop and I’m very glad I came to this store. The owner is very genuine and kind, as well as honest about his services. He does a fantastic job and is very humble, but you can tell he takes great pride in what he does. My broken screen was fixed within 30 minutes and it looked good as new. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I wish I read a few reviews about this place. Horrible service and tried to pull a scam. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!I went there to replace my Mac’s screen. It got replaced and stopped working in two days. I came back with my laptop just to find out that it does not turn on anymore.Just like a previous review I was told that it’s a microchip issue. Upon inspecting my computer there are screws which are not even tightened all the way.Disappointed when I came to pickup I was told that I could still sell my screen. WHAAAAAT!!!!I am sure there are parts missing from my Mac because they probably repairs another bad one to resell.Once this guy mentioned how he has bought a Mac for 250 and sold it for 650.I would not recommend.FOLLOWING UP: 2/27/2021Owner called immediately after I posted the review. He was very professional and offered my the refund. I declined the offer but he did offered me to bring the Laptop at his Richardson Location.Waiting to hear back from him with the Address so they can look into my Mac and try to fix it.CAll me.Following up 3/19/2021.Spoke to Apple specialist and explained the symptoms of my Air. Do not take your phone to be repaired at this place. They did not fix my phone and Payed $300 and did not receive parts of the phone back. Took it to another place and they said it was not repair right. Had to purchase a new phone and they would only refund $20 for missing parts.

My daughters macbook air has some virus/malware problem and we could not fix on our own and we found this place online and we took it there. The girl at the front desk was very enthusiastic about helping us to fix the problem and tried her best to do the job on her own while we waited. Finally she figured out that some anti virus needed to be installed so she needed us to leave the laptop with them. Next day when I called up to check, we were pleasantly surprised to know the problem was fixed and the laptop was ready to be picked up and all for just 55 bucks. No diagnostic fee, no fees for the anti-virus tool and only a small fee for skilled technical work. More than business, it looked to be community service which is good from a consumer perspective.However as a word of caution from a business perspective, in the last few years I saw few other businesses offering high tech services at very low cost could not manage to stay afloat in difficult times.Around 5 year back, there used to be another laptop repair company in Irving Towne Center near Target. It was being run by a guy as a single man army who was probably technology enthusiast and wanted to help people. Everytime I go there, he will fix the problem quickly and not charge me or charge a very small fee. I used to think even if you want to help people for free, how can you possibly pay the rent of the shop if you do not charge for your service. And then once I went for something, I noticed the shop was locked by the real estate leasing office and was put about non payment of rent and eviction. His furniture and stuff was still inside. It was disheartening to see a good business dying.Later on, we found this place - Cellphone Genius (north Irving location) who were also equally good and guys were providing various services for very low cost. Many times for small things they will not even charge anything. Came the great year of 2020, and the location was closed and we felt heartbroken again.This time when my daughter’s Macbook got into a problem and we could not fix on our own, thanks to google search, Smart Tech showed up this time and the experience with them was amazing.Only thing to worry about, providing great service at very low cost should not risk the existence of the business itself in the long run. If you are too good, its not easy to survive. While running a business, its very important to make enough margin to stay afloat during difficult times.My two cents :).

Said I was gonna do this but I forgot, oops. Anyway, for the price of around $75, I had two repairs done. A severely cracked screen, and a battery replacement. For that Price, its better then going to apple. The total time was less than an hour too, so if you need something quick, call ahead and just plan accordingly. Shane was the person doing my repair and eh was super nice. Even got some advice on a computer i wanted to do. It may seem sketchy seeing as where the location is, but its honesty not. Dont judge a book by it cover.

I had so much problems with my i-phone. I took many places but not able to repair. I found info. from one of my friend and went there got fixed my phone. Highly recommended for phone, computer, tablets. My phone looks new now. The young Asian looking guy named Sab is very helpful.

The good: phone ended up getting repaired eventually, Shane is very intelligent and kind, they didnt loose my phone.The bad: quoted a price of $100 on the phone to repair a cracked screen. When I arrived, the price jumped to $210, but they said theyd do it for $160 because they misspoke (acknowledged they misquoted the price). Owner was very fast talking and was constantly trying to pull one over on the customers. I normally steer clear of folks like this. Lack of quality control. Got my phone on a Wednesday, told not to use it until Thursday so the glue could dry, when I fired it up Thursday morning, the screen was detached. Took it back, and they fixed it properly by Saturday night. 3/10, wouldnt return. I feel fortunate to have my phone back.

My son’s iPhone 7 had a problem with sound board. After visiting two other places, both places sent me to the Apple Store where they basically wanted to charge me and arm and a leg to fix it. Apple was able give me the diagnostics.I then attempted to try this place before giving up.The gentleman waited for me 15 min to drop off the phone after he had already closed. It did take some time to fix it. Which was well worth the wait. I couldn’t be more pleased with their service. Plus, might must add at affordable price and they guaranteed their work for 90 days.I highly recommend this place for your Apple products they are best and affordable. I will be back. I recently brought my phone into this store and was asked to leave a good review after the repair, but at this point, it would be an absolute lie, so instead Im gonna take the time to write a true review.My experience at Mac service was incredibly disappointing, and Im trying hard to believe that they actually just suck at their job, rather than the greater likelihood that they just hustled money from me. Either way, the reason is good enough to recommend that you avoid this shop.I brought in my iPhone 7 Plus, which had given me a black screen of death refusing to start again. I did not know how to force a restart on the phone at the time. (Always Google before throwing your money at supposed experts.) When I described the problem, they took the phone and then told me that the problem was my screen, even though the screen wasnt broken. I reluctantly agreed to have it replaced, because I figured they knew better then I would. Then while they were replacing the screen, I was told that it would also need a new battery. I was definitely feeling a bit skeptical at this point, but also didnt think I really had much of a choice at this point. I just wanted to get my phone back and get out. After charging me and having me sign paperwork, I was advised by the man behind the counter to sell my phone as soon as possible. What?!?! Why?!?! Seems pretty certain that he knew he hadnt fixed the problem and had just charged me for no reason. NOT EVEN 10 minutes had passed after I left, and my phone died on me again. It has continued to randomly die over the last couple weeks. I figured out how to force restart the phone myself, so anytime its shut off on me and gone unresponsive, Ive just done that, but that obviously gets pretty old. Then, after a couple of weeks of that nonsense, not only did it continue to randomly die, but then all the apps just stopped working, and the phone became inexplicably slow. I got so frustrated and while venting about my phone issues to a friend, he said that it sounded like I had been hustled and he was pretty sure all I actually had ever needed to do was a complete wipe and factory reset the phone. He helped me do a factory reset, and what do you know......everything has been working perfectly since then. The apps are all working, the phone isnt randomly restarting anymore, its like nothing was ever wrong.This store straight up took advantage of my lack of knowledge of the basic troubleshooting solutions for my phone, and I have absolutely no doubt that they do the same to every other person who comes in there. So my advice to all of you is first to go to Google to see what other people have done when having software issues. Then, if still having issues, go to a tech geek friend who might have some other ideas to help you for free. And then finally, in the worst case, go to a repair store for help with the problem. But never ever ever under any circumstances should THIS store be included in those repair plans. They hustled me into paying for a new battery and phone screen, when that wasnt at all what my phone needed. Im extremely disappointed with their dishonesty or inadequacy, whichever it was, and will never return or recommend it to anyone.

My MacBook all of a sudden wasnt turning on so I took it to an Apple Store and they couldnt fix it. They wanted to charge me $475+ and referred me to a place in Arlington. The place in Arlington told me it was my motherboard and they would charge me $575 to fix it. I almost lost hope until I took it to Smart Techs and Im so happy I did. They were able to fix my issue fast, and it was so affordable. They really want to help each customer to their full potential. Would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Horrible service. Sure they speak all smooth and talk “discounts” and you’re already here I’m going to do this for you blah blah blah! I went in for a screen replacement. I was told that the screen wasn’t working because some sort of chip had broken on it. I was charged for the screen which I don’t mind because I got but I was also charged for a chip that was never replaced. I was later told that the screen still wasn’t working because it was TWO chip that burnt and broke not just one. I was told that the money that I payed on this so called chip was going to go towards a phone that they would help me get. It’s been almost two months and nothing. No money back no phone or chip that I payed for. Don’t go here. I will keep this post until something is resolved. Until then. Bad. Horrible. Unprofessional. Untrustworthy. Rip off.

They saved my iPhone 6+! I was changing SIM cards and forgot to insert my SIM card in the tray so it got stuck in the phone. They were able to get it out and then re-insert it so I still had service. They have a contractor named Roger and he came to hook up a projector he knew nothing about. He offers services on Facebook as a private contractor and please do not use him privately! Maybe the company itself but absolutely not him! He had holes in our ceiling and did not even hook up speakers or hide plugs or cords! He stood on the ladder and did not know a thing about what was going on! He said his truck was stolen and was 6 hours late then said he needed to spend time with his daughter after only being here a few hours. I DO NOT recommend this Roger person as anyone I would EVER let in my home!!!!!

I came on this shop for them to fix my broken apple watch series 4 screen. Its a little bit pricey but better than apple do it which is the same price when u buy a new watch. After they fix it a couple of days.. my apple watch screen looks like brand new. Im impressed.

These guys are so great! I had issues with my phone after the screen cracked on the front and back of my phone. I took it to them and they had it fixed within 2 days. Unfortunately a month later my daughter cracked the lcd and it quit working again. I didnt actually go with them to repair my iPhone touch IC chip, I decided to try and fix it myself. So this rating is based on my customer experience with them. I called to get an estimate for an iPhone 6 touch IC chip replacement and was given fair quote. He was even willing to meet me where I work to pick up my phone, but I didnt have it on me. I was going to try and drop it off after work and was willing to stay there until I got there. I wasnt able to get off and make it over there and didnt want him to wait, so I let me know Id give him a call the next day. He called me the next day to follow-up, which nowadays it seems like theres so little follow-up, I kindly thanked him for working with me. However, I decided to save my money and it put towards the iPhone 8 coming out in a few months and just use my old iPhone 5. Ill try and fix it myself and if that doesnt work I know where Ill take it to get it fixed.

I received a decent service for the price I paid. I am not familiar with the cellphone screen replacement process—as I have never had to replace a screen before, but I would suggest unless absolutely necessary...that the lock screen password be used and given in front of the customer for those of us who have privacy concerns.Perhaps it’s just my suspicion and general distrust of people in general but I felt reluctant to give that, although I did.Aside from that, good service—nice people.Thanks

Amazing service and advice - will definitely go straight to Mac Cellphone & Computer repair next time! I was sick and tired of spending hours onto apple support chat and waiting over a week for an appointment, my friend recommended to go this place for a service. last time I went to apple I decided just to go straight here this time. My laptop was practically unresponsive and after doing countless tests with apple support, within 5 minutes of arriving here they could tell me exactly what the problem was. A couple of hours later my laptop was good as new, a new hard drive in place!

When in to take my dell laptop for a start up repair. Told me the cost would be$49.00 if the drive wasn’t messed up if the drive was it would $99.00. The did the work in a day and it only cost me $49.00. They saved me a lot of time and money. To me they seem to honest people trying to grow their business. I would go back.

I went to another iPhone repair location within one mile of this store and they had my phone for an hour then told me my home button was too far gone and that no screens would help. I was told I would have to go to the Apple store then most likely be without my phone for a few weeks.
