This is the worst place to go shopping. All the products are overpriced when compared to other Indian grocery stores. Lot of times they sell expired products or rotten vegetables. The staff is extremely rude. Also sometimes the product you pick might not contain what was advertised on it and when you ask for refund they will tell you its your mistake. Avoid shopping here and travel extra 5-10 minutes to go to any other Indian store. From recent experience I purchased Rasmalai from the store and when opened the box found Rasgulla inside. The difference between the 2 products is that rasmalai has liquid milk whereas rasgulla has liquid sugar water. The rasmalai I purchased had sugar water so lady suggested I add the milk myself at home.
Really started to like this place because it was never busy and was a good place to buy unique items and dry goods, but today I went to cook some frozen items that I bought there over the weekend and they had been opened with some of the meat gone!….I don’t know if someone tried one and returned it or what but that’s pretty bad to even allow that to be returned let alone placed back for resale…I wont say to avoid this place because it has quality items and this is the first bad item I have gotten but definitely triple check your items!
Lesson learned. Don’t go to those grocery stories which are not busy in general. They sell old stock and check for expiry date before you put anything ing into cart. Vegetables do not stay for more than 2 days of purchase and perishes pretty soon compared to those from other Indian stores. Cashiers could be trained a bit more. I go here because it’s the nearest one to me and not so busy even in the evenings but will skip this store from my next visit.
They have some of everything and Hiring for Cashier if any one is interested. They had fruits, Vegetable, Rice, beans, household items, pots and pans, the biggest soap variety Ive ever seen! Incense if you are an incense fan they have an Incense wall! I love the stuff. I was in there for an hour and did not even know it. You must make this a destination deliberation!
Best prices on produce in the area. Great shop for a stop and go, they accept food stamps too. Subzi Mandi has a solid selection of spices.
Oh boooy v needs 2 checked it out this changed from taj grocers 2 now corruptedly wet nite FARMERS MARKET corner asap
One of the best Indian Grocery stores in North Irving. Big store, not crowded, good variety and quality of items at competitive price.
Big grocery shop with lots of space for the customers to move freely and the vegetables are fresh anytime we go...I could see hardly 5-6 customers at a time...not so crowded.
Decent produce section. Cafe area closed and register area is kinda outdated and slow.
Rude and untrained employees, don’t understand English and hanged up my phone calls 3 times. Unacceptable attitude, careless management by Paul. I don’t trust them and don’t recommend the community to shop at this store. Rotten produce, expired frozen foods.
I liked this Indian grocery store. Vegie is also good. Reasonable price compared to other big players in Irving. Definitely worth going
I am around 7 years in Fort Worth, TX. I never know this is and indian grocery. I just visited first time. It is far better than India Bazaar and Patel Grocery, No crowd, may be no one knows this shop outside Irving, TX resident. This shop is 0.2 miles from Saravana bhavan, Irving, TX towards Kumars. Subzi Mandi is formerly Taj Indian Grocers. One of my India colleague told Taj Indian Grocers is the oldest big indian grocery in Irving, TX Taj Grocers opened before India Bazaar and Patel Grocery in Irving, TX.
It’s a good grocery store in general but the customer service should be a little bit more professional. They think we’re bunch of idiots shopping for free!!!!! When they are checking out a customer they can’t help but talk with other colleagues.
I give it one star for being the nearest to my house, the second star for having a variety of products that an Indian household needs on a regular basis and the third star for the cashiers who are generally friendly even in COVID times. I fear however that their name brand products have been found to have insects, that they gladly accepted in return for other groceries. Their vegetables are not always fresh.
Best place to find all puja items
Quiet place with no more than 5 to 7 customers on any day. This wont matter under normal circumstances, but is very helpful and an important factor in this Covid situation. It leaves us to our shopping in peace and naturally leaves us with plenty of social distancing. Vegetables are fresh and there is almost an aisle full of tea varieties for tea lovers! :)
I thought this is another kind of Farmers Market. Surprise, it is similar to any other Indian stores (Patel Brothers, India Bazaar, etc.). Lots of choices.
Good grocery collection and quality. Good and fresh vegetables. Generally empty so better option in Covid situation. Price is comparative.
I get all the veggies & they are fresh.
Nice, spacious neighborhood South Asian grocery store with a very good selection from what I saw. Spices, snacks, lots of Indian pickle/condiment varieties. Lentils, grains etc.
Very good grocery store for Indian spices as well vegetables. Price is food too. Customer friendly environment with reasonable price
Cant believe it isnt busier. Clean, well stocked, fresh veggies and friendly staff. Am I missing something?
All you need for your indian needs is there. Everything is fairly priced and fresher than most places in the neighborhood....
Very friendly staff. I prefer sabzi mandi over patel brothers coz of less rush.
Indo Pakistan Grocery
Very expensive store for no reason and very rude cashiers
Pretty fast service....quick in and out with groceries.
Large varieties of Indian/Pakistani grocery items. You can get sweet potatoes like the one back home! Prices are reasonable. My personal experience with their sweets hasnt been good. They didnt seem to be fresh enough. Good for everything else.
Very nice, well organised, Fresh vegetables
This is the first time I visited this store. I usually shop at India Bazaar or Patel Brothers. This store has shady pricing on some of its items. For example, Haldirams ready-to-eat curries (not the frozen ones) are always priced $1.99 at every other Indian store in Irving. Some of these stores have buy one-get one free offers too. Subzi Mandi also had one such promotion. However, they cleverly raised the unit price to $2.99, which is unbelievable. So, the total for 2 items + 1 free item came to $5.98, when it should have been $3.98. So, these guys are frauds.
Good fresh veggies and organic produce
Not a crowded place which is best in covid pandemic. Also have Taj chaat house inside.
I rate place more than other indian grocery
Has everything and the staff si really nice 🙂
Good place to get Indian groceries and vegetables
Nice staff great service
I have identified that they are selling expired packed food and I notified the same to the lady at cash counter. After two weeks, when I visited again, I could see they have simply removed the expiry date print on the packed food and sell. Fortunately I could locate the expiry date from the punch. I have notified the same to the counter person but the lady who bills at counter 1 simply says that its given by their suppliers. The reply was rude and not giving any kind of respect. Be Careful when you buy an item from Subzi Mandi Irving
Good people and very cheap good vegetables
Please be careful and always read the expiry date before buying. Had bad experience buying flour not once but twice. They are selling expired food. When you tell them they will say don’t buy if you have a problem, others don’t have problem eating expired food. The put stickers on top of manufacturing/expiry dates.
Very nice place but some products are not available so we have to go other store
Good store for Indian groceries
Friendly staffs and good variety of products.
Good
Nice staff, fresh vegetables and fruits.Found everything needed.Very nice experience.I Highly recommend to visit.
Fresh Vegetable and good quality
Large space, big aisles, fresh veggies. And so close!!
Groceries and vegetables are available at reasonable price but, staff should be more polite particularly store manager.
The owner lady is so rude and dont know how to talk with customers
Good grocery store to buy all items
Great Place. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Nice atmosphere. Clean restrooms.
Store has variety and lesa crowded but supporting staff is kind if rude or dont know how to help customers.
Worst desi grocery! Too costly compare to other groceries and even though less customers, getting thru payment resgister takes for ecer!
Variety of fresh vegetables and grocery..Love the Taj chat house here, beauty parlor and Zara collections.
Perfect place for all Indian Grocery needs
0000 Nothing worthy this store cashier person who stay front her name is pinky she is very root parson she don’t know how to talk the customers she taking sit with customers i am regular customer this store oneday i buy some things this store i have subzimandi card she told me i don’t make this card you have to make another one i told her is same sabzi mandi card i can use she saying no i want make new she talk to me like servent i don’t like talk to like this who is manager this store please tell your cashier person talk to customers with politely ......
I came here to buy a pack of frozen vegetables p, and the pack that I bought expired in 2018! I bought it in 2020! I would give a 0 star, but cant.
Great place for authentic Middle Eastern Food, spices, and all kinds of ingredients. The staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommend.
Good Asian/Indian groceries store with a nice small fast food corner
Improve your customer service specially the young lady at the cash counter. She is absolutely unaware how to talk to customers.
Sabzi Mandi store in Irving, TX is very neat and clean, very well organized and very well maintained Indian Grocery store. They have very reasonable and affordable prices. The Management and the staff is very cordial and very helpful. I wish them a great success. Amardeep Singh Gill.
THEY CHEAT PEOPLE! They run the classic scan of putting one of the items really low price so people come to shop there and when you ask for that item they say its out of stock. They had saffron box on discount and I went in to buy it but they said they didnt have it in stock anymore. But my wife went inside after 30 mins and bought some groceries and asked again for saffron and they magically had it in stock. If you shop more items there then only they will give it to you. Its a trick used to get people there on the pretext of getting the discounted item but you only get it if you buy other stuff there.Next day I called again to see if they have the saffron in stock and they confirmed but when I went there within 5 mins they were out of stock again as didnt buy other stuff. Its a classic bait and switch to lure people there with their fake discount ads. Dont give them your money.Proof: Check their Ramadan Super sale ad from 4/27. Its still going on.
Not crowded. Decent choices and prices.
Take chaat house are good.. they have decent range in their menu.. Taj combo is worth a try with hot puris.. chats are also good.. food is economicalVegetables are fresh.. Indian products are competitively priced..
The Taj Chaat House location is usually not open whenever I come in to shop. Great selection and good, quality products!
Great selection of Indian food and spices
Nice place and also have nominal price for all India grocery..👍🏻
OK shop. Since the new owners came, I have experienced 3 instances when branded snacks from the shelves were found to be rancid and not fit for consumption. Clearly they are unable to sell soon and appear to stock products way past their sell by date. So buyers beware.
Great i got wat i went in for....millet flour cld not get it anywhere else
Horrible place. All the items in this store are either having insects or old. Staff directly says if you want you can buy or dont buy. Very rude.
1. Veggies are not fresh2. They sell expired items in sale.Like coconut milk.3. Good thing is the chat cornerThe taste of thali and chats are good .Once they gave a stale Pongal but complained abt it.
Very good place to shop for Indian groceries, has a wide variety at competitive prices. There is a vegetarian eat-out, which is a must try, food tastes good, includes North Indian, South Indian dishes, Chaat options and Indian desserts including Kulfi. There is also a boutique inside for Indian dresses, where they undertake stitching as well.
This store has many products which are past their due date. Be careful specially with Ginger or/and garlic paste, pickles and many more.
Very neat and organized and spacious. Theres a sit-down eatery inside where you get chaat, south indian tiffen, some rice varieties etc. Theres a small salon and a boutique inside. You even get complimentary tea! Lots of parking space! I prefer this to other stores because its a lot more quiet.
Good for pani puri
Usually not crowded place to buy Indian groceries
Too pricey!!
We go majority of the time to buy rice, wheat flour, dalssnd indian vegetables. Its good just that vegetables are not fresh always so have to choose carefully.
This is a great place for indian groceries and fresh fruits and vegetables. little pricey in comparison but good deal overall
Excellent place for Desi grocery and has good fresh produce.
A decent indian grocery store. You will find all kind of indian grocery specially punjabi grocery items here.. theres also a small restaurant inside where you get delicious fast food.. recommended..
Customer service is poor. Very rude manager. All we said was the prices are going up, and the dude flipped. Said how can we pay for the building etc.Wow. Got in my face. Almost called the cops on them. Not going back. Never been talked to so rude.Yes this is the location at 10010 n macarthur. My mother in law was there on the 30th of July.
This is the second time I got lentils from this store and the quality was bad that it took whole day on stove and still was hard,Had to threw them all. They should improve the quality. And when I called she didn’t give any response so I think it should be complained for carrying bad stuff .
Cool food
This one for the taj chat inside Sabzi mandi. Probably the worst place ever. Ordered pav bhaji, chole batura, dahi puri, samosas. Started with samosa wasnt great. dahi puri literally had dahi and puri alllll over the plate no chutney or stuffing inside. chole batura it says in the menu but all we got was regular puri chole which i can make lotsssss better at home why pay you guys. now comes the frustrating part, To me pav bhaji comes with nicely mashed veggie with masala and butter melting over the bhaji and two piece of proper pav toasted slight brown. but what i got was a piece of burger patty with DRY bhaji. omg such a shame to represent Indian food. cant even effort to serve PAV.
Very clean and very good super market.
Fresh vegetables and Indian Grocery
Pumiji always the best. 🙏
Less prices, fresh veggies, and all Indian grocerries at cheaper cost
Wonderful experience finding wide variety of veggies, fruits and all in one go
I visited Sabzi Mandi for Puffed rice, I was looking for 2lb couldnt find the price, but I found price of 1lb $1.5. and 5lb $6. So I assumed price of 2lb some where around $3 and took it. Here the twist is bill says $5 and and quantity in the bill is 5lb. I questioned them the same, the quantity I took is 2lb and bill says 5lb and cost is too high. They just strikes off the 5lb with pen and changed it as 800gms. The worst experience I ever had.I will never go to this place again
O O O O O this store is very worthy n nothing else SOUP Item n bad behaviour by store leader when I asked about soup item not replay me eventhought he was closet to me. West of time...
My experience to this place not been good so far, it’s my personal experience. It’s Indian grocery store.
Decent Indian grocery store, tadbit pricey over other stores like Patel and India bazaar.
Always check date before purchase. Most items are expired!!!
Good one but not best.
I always goes here for fresh vegetables.
Grateful, gratifying, thanks for supporting dignity, honesty, and moral integrity
Clean and easy to find everything and service was above and beyond
