Good place to get your bike fixed and other iteams for repairing and bicycle use. Also sells reused gear which is awesome. Has cool Nalgene water bottles.

Great place to find new and reuse gear, bikes, and clothing. Friendly, knowledgeable folks who know their stuff. Ive bought two bikes and two pairs of cross-country skis from them, all used but nicely updated and maintained in-house. I have another older bike in with them now for a complete overhaul and they have been excellent and very fair. Recommended.

This is a great store for consigned and sample gear. All the items on the shelves are of quality, well sourced, great variety. Recommended for purchasing used/sample hiking, camping, paddling and other outdoor gear sold by knowledgeable staff. This is fine, I trust that the repairs were necessary, but They have no kind of itemized receipt to offer, so you take it at their word what they do. The pictured receipt was the extent of the documentation. To add to this the first time I left the shop the bike was unrideable, gears slipping and chattering. This bike clearly had not received any kind of testing. They added a new cassette afterwards, which thankfully was comped. There are more professional repair places.

Cool store. If I lived here this would be one of those places Id go before others for my outdoor gear needs. Im a big fan of the beer bar next door owned by the same folks which would give me even more reasons to visit more often.

I have used this store to get all outfitted for cycling and triathlon. They have a great selection of new and used gear. Mason helped my wife and I out with some lingering bike issues we had. He was super helpful and patient and took the time to explain why he was trying different things. He also never tried to upsell or get us to buy stuff we didnt need. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get into our replace outdoor sports gear.

Old Goat is an awesome store, prices seemed fair on used gear and staff were super helpful with any questions we had.

I really love old goat. Here I purchased some of my first pieces of outdoor gear, and now I cant get enough nature in my life. For second hand gear, Id like to see some even steeper price cuts, especially in the used shoes section. Comparable quality mid-layers and other synthetic tops are simply cheeper at the Salvation Army. All gear is excellent! And it feels good to support an Ithaca store.

Very helpful and informative for customers of all skill levels. They also helped on a minor bike repair and only charged for parts. I wouldnt expect that service every time, but it was a very welcome gesture. Ill definitely give them return business in the future.

Every time Ive gone to Old Goat theyve had what Im looking for at the price Im looking to pay. The gear is always in great shape and the staff is knowledgable and helpful. Also, theyve bought my old gear for more than I expected. Before going to Eastern Mountain Sports, or some other big name store, give Old Goat a call or stop in. Theyre awesome!

The only place locally you can get used gear at the right price along with great conversation from knowledgeable guys. The owner is a great local who supports the local scene for a lot of activities and is eager to get other people out there too.

I appreciate having Old Goat in town, as it is a fairly unique store. They always have a lot on hand, although (as with any thrift-type shop) they may not have exactly what you need. There is also a selection of new staples (backpacks, tents, sleeping bags) if you are just looking to gear up quickly and not hunting for a deal. Ive gotten some really good deals over the years ($50 Marmot snowpants, clseout; $80 Marmot softshell jacket, $10 closeout hydration system), and drop in from time to time even if I dont need something immediately.

Friendly staff, and a great selection of gear. You can find really good deals on the used stuff, although the prices on newer items are pretty average.
