Homegrown Skateshop has a a great selection of goods and sneakers, as well as fantastic and knowledgeable staff. They ship out items with speed and care!

Been meaning to write this review for a while. Amazing shop with great service. A go to for shoes and skate stuff.

Great local shop. I highly recommend it for everyone. Andrew is a very helpful owner. Ive been going to him as long as hes been open and hes always responsive. Anything negative on here is not from the skateboarding community and seems to be with really picky sneaker heads who seem to use their parents money to buy outrageous sneakers. If you want to support the local skateboarding community you cant get better than Homegrown. There was assistance to get an addition to the skatepark and fundraising for local causes.

Been picking up shoes and decks here for years, and I cant say enough great things about the shop itself, the management, and the value they bring to the area. Rarely do you see local businesses ingrain themselves so deeply in the community – but Homegrown has consistently contributed toward building a better, safer and thriving environment for skateboarding in Upstate New York for more than ten years.

Shady, operator decides to have a nationwide raffle to benefit himself, then the next launch is locals only after they got what they wanted. Deceptive.

Absolutely horrible experience at the Ray Gun release. The store and management allowed a group of people to intimidate those of us waiting patently and budge in front of the line. Despite only being allowed to by one pair, they put there purchases in their cars they walked back up to the front of the line and intimated there way in again while the rest of us who where waiting in line for HOURS where forced to take an L. The Police presence response was “budging isn’t illegal.” A ticket system should be implemented to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance. It appears the store only cares about their money and not about the sneaker community. It was an utter disappointment. I will not be back and I will advise other people to go elsewhere for releases.

I’ve shopped at Homegrown a handful of times and all have been pleasant experiences.

The employees are extremely unfriendly and lack any sort of customer success skills. Everytime I have gone here the gentlemen are glued to their computer and barely acknowledge my existence in the room.As far as skateboard inventory, I wouldnt bother. Barely have bearings and just one small cut of grip tape.Nice sneakers but can beat prices online for the same shoe.

Would anybody recommend i havent skateboarded in a good year and a half so is this a good place to get a board

Showed up to this place 20 minutes after noon and they were still closed. This is the second time I’ve come hoping to buy new shoes and they weren’t open on time... looks like they have a nice selection through the window but rarely open you can’t trust the store hours they have listed

The owner and staff are always a pleasure to talk with. The style and selection the owner brings in is always amazing. Certainly worth the trip.

Been a happy customer of Homegrown for several years. Andrew, the owner, is awesome and the store has enhanced my wardrobe lovely with great sneakers, pants, shirts, socks and hats. Definitely one of my favorite stores and places in Ithaca to frequent.
