I love this grocery store. They are so kind and having so many options to choose from of anything. This place is definitely going to be my regular grocery store for my oriental foods that I’m looking for! Thank you so so so much for all the help. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable Convenient place to go to. I wish I could tip or donate money. I’m just grateful for the help I received. Other places are not so helpful towards me.
I’m going to attempt to make a Korean fried chicken for the first time and I had a list of what I needed. The staff is amazing. The daughter who worked there asked her mom who was working in the back if they had an ingredient I needed. The Mom walked me through the entire store to help me get everything I needed. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will definitely be returning.
My son loves the homemade wontons
Hands down my favorite Asian market in Jacksonville. Its in a shady lot, for sure, and theres not much parking in the afternoons. However, there is a reserved spot for Dae-Ho, which is open more than it isnt. Has plenty of great domestic Asian and imported Korean goods. Fresh produce and bok choy are a huge plus. Has everything from Nongshim (including the entire Shin line), Sapporo Ichiban, some Samyang products (my personal favorites - imported Korean noodles, available cheesy or hot), and much more, including various fresh/dried noodle options. There are also other frivilous imported goods, i.e. chopsticks, DVDs, teas, etc. There is a 10 dollar minimum for credit/debit, and they dont accept AMEX, so keep that in mind. Also consider the owner doesnt speak much English, so it might be hard to communicate - go in knowing what you want.
Prices a little high but good people
All the best stuff.
We go to this Korean grocery store a lot since it is the closest Asian Market. It isnt our favorite but it has become charming for us. We like it. Its very obviously a family-owned grocery store with mostly Korean selections, but a few items here and there are from other Asian countries. When they have fresh bakery on the check-out counter, make sure you buy some--they are really good, delicious and baked I presume in the back by the wife of the man (the owner) who is usually in the front by the register. Of course, the store can be more organized with their products but doesnt hamper from looking for what you need to buy. The man in front is really nice and their kids that do their homework in the back makes the place more home-like and charming in my opinion. Of course JAX Oriental store on San Jose has better selections and varieties.
Everything you could ever need to make a Korean dish at great prices.
Awesome
Got to go there for my special recipe
Wide assortment of all your Korean foods and supplies. I traveled 40 miles to go there and would go again. They also have a restaurant inside the store and they make a lot of homemade items and baked goodies that are delicious...
The auntie at the register was very nice and pleasant to speak to. A very nice store.
Jacksonville maybe a large city but it functions very much like a small town. I had quite a bit of culture shock moving down here and Ive been really grateful for this place where I can get decent Korean groceries. Theyve always been good to me. And theyve always had everything that I was looking for (if not a huge selection of it). Also, really good kimchi. Better than I make, and better than I was used to being able to get back home.
Friendly and helpful owner. Hes always smiling though speaks very little English. This place is clean and often have homemade style Korean food.
Got all I needed here.
Well stocked for anything oriental. Staff very helpful as there is quite a selection just ask
You can order large entrees of Korean food like wings, sushi, Mochi (using English words here so everyone understands :) ) My family is Korean and we order this around the holidays and for any family event. It’s always soooo good!!
Very friendly and very helpful. I was missing my mothers great Korean food until I came here. Everything I needed to make a nice meal and a very good kimchi selection.
Hands down the best kimchi in town. Its made in house by the owners. Just make sure to go during the daytime since its in sketch part of town.
I don’t know about this place... I’m Korean and I wouldn’t recommend it. The males inside the store are very rude maybe because I’m a woman. It’s my personal experience. I dunno.I think I saw a roach or some kind of bug and it scared me.
First real Korean market Ive seen in a long time in a smaller town. All the ingredients I need to make great Korean food. Staff was super helpful even though they spoke very little English. I will definitely go again. BTW - its a typical small asian market, dont expect youll be walking into the Publix or Whole Foods and you wont be disappointed.
Found everything we were hoping for at affordable prices and they were incredibly friendly. At the end of checkout we were looking at some pastries but decided not to get them, and the owner gave them to us no charge so we could try it. You dont find hospitality like that often and it goes a long way. Definitely our favorite korean/oriental market in jax
Great kimchee and they had everything I needed for the recipe I was making. They dont follow you around the store like youre going to rob them blind and they are very friendly
Nothing I agree with
Best price plus wide variety here. Make sure to lock your car
Has every Korean food product I can think of. Not much space but packed full of stuff. I always go here when I want to make Korean food or want to buy Asian seaweed snacks.
The kimche is homemade greatness. Even if they do build a Lotte down here, ill be headed here! Kimche is korean. Not Japanese. ...Buy Here..
Really quaint little niche spot for all of your Asian cuisine needs.
Be careful to check on expiration dates and sometimes youll find a great deal.
Very good oriental food store its mostly Korean but they have stuff from all Asian countries, they have a good variety and a fair price
Wide range of selection and some what reasonable price.
Great selection, fresh produce, friendly owners. Best homemade Kkakdugi around!
It is very dark and dirty. Hard to find anything in the very cramped aisles. That being said, prices are vey good and you can find items more difficult to find. Just dont expect it to be a supermarket
Friendly staff, great choices of just about anything you need to make any Asian cuisine. Neighborhood is a little sketchy but not so bad I wouldnt go back.
Great food store beenshoping ther off & on for 33 years.
Very hard working people serving minor ethnic markets
Solid selection of Korean food products from raw ingredients to pre-prepared and packages foodstuffs
Awsome they had what I was looking for
You will get every tastes of Korean dishes here!!
This is one of the only places in Jacksonville I have been able to find Hong Cho at.
Huge selection of Asian goods! Polite & helpful staff.

One of my go to spots
I stopped by the Korean Market in Jacksonville and stopped by here as well. Although the vegetable section is narrow here, the carrots, bean sprouts, and vegetables were in good condition. Its like a local supermarket in Korea 20 years ago. There were a variety of frozen products here too.
Im not sure if the expiration date has passed and the frozen food has been thawed and then re-frozen. Its not past the expiration date, but its already damaged. haha
Many people come to this place to buy their oriental products and foods
A food store representing the Korean American community. The kimchi is delicious and the transportation is good. If its a bit unfortunate, as you all know, I personally like it, although it is uncomfortable because the parking is a bit difficult.
