Been going there since I was little and they had major improvements ! The prices are reasonable because of shipments. They got a huge selection of japanese and other asian snacks and ice cream! This brand of tea is my favorite if you are a fan of teas. Definitely try the brown sugar bubble ice cream! They have fresh vegetables and frozen beef which is good for hotpot. Be on the look out for new snacks because they run out quick 👀👀 Support Asian Local Business !!!!!

I tried getting some boba tea from them and the girl that supposed to be working behind the counter was talking with some guy for what seemed like forever and they both were purposely ignoring me. 2 times in a row this has happened where you can’t even place an order and get treated as an inconvenience.If you want to get groceries from here sure it’s a great idea because they supply it. But if you’re going to order boba tea you are better off ordering it from the dumpling restaurant right next door or even the Asian fusion restaurant located in the Walmart plaza. The prices are cheaper, taste better, and offer great customer service.Jax Oriental market officially lost myself and my family as future customers.

I go there for the Japanese candy. Theyve always got something new and interesting that I havent seen anywhere else. The selection is always changing too. If youre like me and enjoy trying new and exciting flavors of Pocky or Kit Kats, check them out.

They seem to have new products very often. The Hong Kong Milk Tea is really delicious. The Market has a grand selection of frozen foods, pantry staples, and even baked buns. I like that they have special fried Mochi and red bean ones on Saturday and Sunday. Definitely a good place!

One of the best Asian Grocery store. But the ladies in the center of the store never wear a mask and keep coughing. I hope they can wear a mask and protect everyone. Ironically they even sell mask there 😂😂😂

Wow. I love Asian cooking but I often can’t find sauces I want or the veggies I find are super expensive elsewhere. I went here and was floored! All the veggies I want and like at such a great price and all the sauces that I use abound. I’m in heaven and I will be back over and over and over again.

Incredible Hidden Gem in Mandarin on Old Saint Augustine Road features delicious Oriental Fair served by friendly staff and a very clean and convenient location. Honestly reminded me of a mini version of Don Quixotes department store I visited in Hawaii on a vacation, very broad spectrum of ingredients from different regions I sure to inspire your culinary cravings. I was very surprised to see they had a wonderful selection Aloha maid and Hawaiian Sun canned juices one of my favorite drinks from the trip to the islands. This Plaza also features other Asian Bistro and eateries that will tickle the taste buds of even the most picky eaters. Definitely do not miss

This is the worst oriental market in jax. Most of the products they sell are well over six months to a year old and they date them once they come into the store not to mention refrigerated products are kept for months before that put out on the shelves to sell to the consumer dont do business here these people are Crooks

Complete selection of fresh, frozen, boxed, and canned Oriental items. The fresh bakery items are delicious and the made to order sandwiches are amazing.

Delicious, fantastically affordable food is to be found here and you can dine in. It is a no frills restaurant and I loved it. This is a good option if you do not wish to eat at the other venues in this shopping center which are ALL overpriced. I checked all the others here on foot. Jax is an excellent choice. The one I walked out of was dead and no one took our order for fifteen minutes at two in the afternoon on a weekday.Those are your choices.

I love this place. No matter where I move in Jacksonville, I make the drive to come here. The produce is always fresh, the people are always friendly, and they always have what I’m looking for.

It is well stocked on almost every category of Asian products. The produce was not very varied and rather unattractive. Customer service is efficient and very indifferent.

I like this place a lot people treat you really nicely but last time I went things didn’t go as usual. I was shopping and hear someone yelling when I realize what was going on a guy with a mustache was yelling at another employee. I felt really bad for the girl since he was yelling at her in the middle of the store full of customers. He seemed like a manager of some sort but that is no way of talking to a person at least no professional at all since he was using profound language. Overall this is a good store, with good items but it seems like they don’t respect their employees.

One of the most well-stocked oriental markets I have yet visited in this area.

This is my second visit in the past week. My regular Oriental Grocery Store didnt have a few items that I was looking for. When I went in for the first time several days ago, it was almost closing time, so I just ran in real quick, looking for the few things that I needed for dinner that night. I went back today because I was nearby and just wanted to browse around. Both times all of the staff was so helpful and took me right to the items I needed. I find that Jax Oriental has some items that are less expensive than my usual store, plus they have some things that my usual store either didnt carry or were out of stock on. This store is quite a bit further away, but, its nice to know that I can find the things that I havent been able to pick up closer to where I live. Ill definitely be back when I need to find things I need.

It seems like the bigger they get, the less produce they have. Just isles and isles of processed junk food. They used to have a really nice selection of fresh produce.

Fantastic selection, clean store. Well stocked on fresh produce you cant find anywhere else, as well as a condiment section that will make your head spin. Dont forget to check the coolers for an assortment of exotic ice cream. If you cant find something for an exotic recipe, this is the place to be. Im here at least every other week.

Me and my bf have been loyal customers for years, but recently he tried to apply for a position they lied and told him they are not hiring.I called not long after to confirm that they weren’t hiring anymore. I was told they are and to bring in my resume.Jax oriental market has sadly lost my business, not sure what type of sketchy stuff they have going on behind closed doors.

I had a horrible experience and awful customer service with this supermarket. Brought roast duck on 6/09/2018 at 7:02PM, I was very happy that I can get duck that late. They normally ran out of duck fast. Got home at 7:30PM and start to cook some roast duck with the noodle that I brought. Noticed the soup taste sour and smell weird. And I told a bite of the roast duck, it was stinks and bad. Ruling our dinner. I was very mad. So I put the duck back to the fridge and wait till 6/12 for return (I work on 6/10,6/11). Came today for return, and I told the lady in the front register (She looks like a manager)what exactly happened. She said that never happen ever before, and said they only serve fresh food. Oh Lord! This is not the first time food is not fresh happened to us. I normally just throw the bad food away. Now ! I felt like she was blame me for the mistakes. Sorry. I don’t think I will go back again. Please be alert of what you purchase from this place. I wish I can give them a 0 for rating. Good Luck

Theyve expanded! I love seeing all ethnicities in the store. They have a great variety, their fresh produce is inexpensive, and they make boba tea & smoothies. If youve ever wanted to try Asian snacks, you can get all kinds from all over Asia.

It’s 2019 you need take other types of payments other then cash. A super market should not have a minimum. It’s a shame there willing to lose out on money of a nominal transaction fee. The employees are rude and no help. It’s a shame could be a great store since they do have amazing products and so much variety.

My main go to for all things asian cuisine related. They really stock to the essentials. Not real heavy mark up either.....Great service. Very friendly.Since covidfest 5000, they stopped making over the counter banh mei in their deli. I hope to see it make a come back. However, Id imagine there isnt a strong demand for it in good ol durrty duval.

Just make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before closing time. I was grabbing dinner in the shopping plaza and wanted to grab something quick with 10 minutes to spare. The lady saw me walking up and she proceed to walk towards the door at the same time. She closed the door and locked it right in front of me. The sign said they close at 8 and I had 10 minutes to spare. Very unprofessional and rude.

Great place to get a large variety of different foods. From frozen dumplings, shumi and steam buns to fresh veggies, teas, canned food, noodles of all varieties and sauces. I definitely recommend checking it out. Isles are close together to fit as much as possible so be ready to squeeze by anyone you meet in the isles.

I think most of the products I bought from this oriental mark were over prices! You can definitely get the same product from other Asian grocery stores at a cheaper price. The store was clean and organized!

Im not a Chinese person, but this store has so many incredible items. Best mango juice, noodles, fruits, vegies and unbelievably huge variety of so many foods I have no idea what is that. Clean and nice place.

Great variety of Asian fresh produce, ready to eat frozen meals, and Asian spices. Products tend to favor Chinese cuisine than other Asian cuisine. I was interested in Thai vegetables but they didnt carry many choices of Thai vegetables. Had to find another Asian market

I have been searching for an Oriental market closer to my residence and I found it! It has a wonderful selection of items for all Asian persuasions! And the prices are comparable to any Oriental market on Beach Blvd.

Decent selection of Oriental goods. The place is recently renovated, so its a bit more roomy. The produce and meat are fresh and a good price. The sweets, ramen and candy are a bit overpriced.I have had problems at the register. Things frequently get rung up duplicate times or at the incorrect price. I have had this happen about 1/3 of the time.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Ive been going here for years. I found things there that I couldnt find at other Asian market places. Even found certain things I loved in shops when I went to Japan. And yes I know duh its an Asian market so why wouldnt they have it. But believe it or not they dont always have the real deal stuff like if you were actually in that country. I will be going back again! Highly recommend this place. They have expanded. Products are always fresh and the staff is great.

I have lived in this area for 10 years, apparently this store has been in this same location for over 20yers now... I never stopped here because a grocery store in a strip mall just was not appealing to me. I recently had an event and my friend and culinary expert handed me a receipt from Jax Oriental Market... Curiosity and an eclectic palate allowed me to venture out... I know there is this whole grocery store science that the big chains use. Produce goes in one spot, meat counter always in the back of the store. etc... The magic here is the ability to not just meet the manager, but also the owners... They have items here I dont see other places... I live a bachelor life for my lunches and I love ramen, etc... This store must have over 100 different kinds and brands of ramen. All the spices... the unique fish, pork blood for making original home style Pho soup... Many beverages and candies from offshore... I love variety and to experiment, that being said, I dont always like what I try... But the quality is always very good... I ws wrong and will be back soon!

This place had everything! I wanted to but all of it. It looked so good. Just a heads up they dont accept EBT/SNAP.

They have a hiring sign on the window so I went in dressed professionally with my resume. I talked to the manager there and she said that it wasnt for them, but it was for them. She lied to me. I know this because I had my girlfriend call the store 20 minutes later and they said that they were hiring and to bring in her resume. This is what I call discrimination. JAX Oriental market has lost my business and my respect.

The best Asian market I’ve been to. They also happen to to serve Boba there as well which is a HUGE plus for me lol. They have an overwhelming array of ingredients and they are very clean and neat. Some of the other marts that I have went to seem picked over or poorly organized, but NOT this one.

Great selection, small store compared to others in Jax. You can hear the older ladies making fun of the customers behind the counter. Dont assume every American only speaks English 😙

One of the bigger Asian stores in Jacksonville with a variety of Asian products. Clean and friendly staff. A little limited on Japanese. They have plenty of Chinese and Korean products.

They have a great selection of Asian food. There was a fresh vegetables selection. The store isnt big but they seem to put a little of everything in it though. Their aisles are very tight and skinny, very little space and just enough for their shopping carts. They even have an area that they make Vietnamese sandwich (banh mi) and bubble tea to order. There was a constant flow of customers but never super busy on a Sunday afternoon that we visited the store.
