Didnt have the work done due to the vehicle being totaled out but they are very helpful with getting you through the insurance process.
Carla and the guys are absolutely amazing. Not only did they keep me up to date through out the whole process. They brought my car to my job, and when I got it back they had washed it, vacuumed the inside and wiped my leather interior. Car was smelling and looking good .
This is a long winded review: proceed with caution.Back in July someone hit my brand new car in a parking lot. Using their State Farm insurance I started down the rabbit hole that has been the last 2 months with the combined gormless efforts of State Farm and Gerber Auto Collison and Glass on Phillips hwy.After arguing with them about where to take my car for two weeks, we finally had to settle on Gerber. It was not my choice but the shop we wanted to use was closed due to the pandemic.Using the “State Farm app” they quoted the damage at $800, which is literally laughable because this is a 2020 vehicle, but I digress, I continued without argument to the shop where they re-quoted it for about $3000, a bit closer to reality. They were supposed to finish it in a week, but it was complete in a day, which should have been my first red flag. They cut corners and did not fit the bumper right and the flaps stuck out at the side above the headlights. Dissatisfied, I returned the vehicle to honor their 100% satisfaction guarantee.This man, instead of remounting the bumper which was all it needed, used an Epoxy glue to glue the bumper into place. Again, this is a 2020 vehicle, it didn’t have glue on it before and it didn’t need it now.Furious, I called back to complain and was told that was “standard procedure “ and “my opinion” that it looked awful and also that they were “sorry I felt that way”. Prime customer service, don’t you think?I was belittled and made to feel stupid for what was obviously a serious flaw in their performance. I failed the shop, expressed my extreme disdain to State Farm and found another location to take it to have it fixed for a second time. I should have done in the first place, but you know, hindsight.So cut to today, San Jose Collision Inc has my baby and called me this morning to confirm what my husband and I told Gerber. All that needed to happen was to reset the bumper, instead now that he glued it they have to replace more parts that broke due to the epoxy.Bottom line, just because I’m a woman, doesn’t mean I’m not going to notice. There’s zero reason for a brand new car to be glued back together. Period.
I had a minor incident on the highway and had my car fixed here. While there were a few delays which extended the repair time from the original 1 week fix to nearly 3 weeks, the repair was amazing. The pictures can speak for itself. There was also a fair amount of dust leftover from repairs which I had brought up. But almost immediately, I was contacted by Jimmy (my estimator) and was given a complementary cleaning.The customer service was amazing and I was impressed with how much they helped me out with everything.Jimmy if youre reading this, I appreciate what youve done for me. Jazzy couldnt be any happier.
These guys are great! My car got hit 4 times in 3 years. Arrrg! But these guys are really good. Ive used them in the past & looked them up again. Glad I did. Theres just no hassle with them. All of them are nice, professional & on top of their game. Theyve been doing this a long time & know how to handle Insurance companies. They do an awesome job on cars. Came in to pick up a company truck. Repairs were good. My problem is with the younger woman who approached me and asked if I needed a mask. I politely said no, I follow cdc guidelines and we are well over 6ft apart, after all im only here for a moment. After I left this woman decided to write an email to my corporate office in an attempt to get me in some sort of trouble I can only assume. I dont understand how and why she thought that was neccessary. Happy to report I didnt get in any trouble bc I was never rude or disruptive. I actually make it a point to be very respectful to people who dont share the same beliefs as me.

This is the very best collision and glass repair company I have ever worked with. Their customer service is top notch. This is the second time I have had repairs from this company and they truly made an unfortunate situation better.
They did a decent job on fixing my car. But customer service is ridiculous. Had to go in the shop 3 different times and HORRIBLE customer service 2 out of 3 times. Rude over the phone too!! Very unwelcoming in person. They told me they had to order a button for my steering wheel that had fallen off and that they would call when it came in. Over 2 months later, I called them about it and the rude lady said they had tried to contact me multiple times... I think I would’ve noticed if they had. I answer calls even if I don’t know who they are due to my job. I had also emailed them over a month ago about it and no response. So rude
Had sons car towed in from auto accident, Gerber staff was wonderful. They always followed up and informed us of expectations. Once repairs were completed, we could not had been more impressed with Dan that meet with us and answered our guestions. He was outstanding ! The entire team was fantastic. Thanks Gerber .
Took my car in after I was side-swiped. They had to repair a quarter panel for my Lincoln MKZ. They estimated two weeks, but it was done in less than one. The car looked like it just came off the lot. Fantastic job. Would go back again.
My passenger door was hit by another car in a parking lot. Gerber promptly repaired my car and the repair and paint job turned out fantastic! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this facility.

Be wary of the ‘Collusion’ specialists at Gerber Philips Highway!My insurance company recommended Gerber after a front-end collision. I checked Google for reviews and the location on Philips Highway appeared to score well. I brought my vehicle there for fender damage, a new bumper and headlight assembly and a damaged AC unit. While my vehicle was there, I received updates every 2 days. Everything seemed to be fine until 1:18 PM the afternoon I was scheduled to pick up my vehicle when I received a call from Gerber Philips Highway (PH) stating that while my vehicle was repaired cosmetically, the AC unit was not working. I questioned why the repair wasn’t complete and was told State Farm wouldn’t approve the repair. Moments later, State Farm called and confirmed this, said the claim was settled and that I had to pick up my vehicle even though the repairs were not complete. Oh, and since the claim was settled, my rental was to be cancelled that day. At no point did anyone at Gerber (PH) or State Farm provide me with a satisfactory answer as to why my AC was not functional after repair. I was livid. When I arrived at Gerber (PH) at around 2:30, one of their ‘collusion’ specialists tried to explain why my vehicle wasn’t fully repaired. I remained calm, reluctantly paid my deductible, got into my hot vehicle, called my State Farm agent to vent and promptly drove to a mechanic I trust to diagnose my AC problem.It quickly became apparent that Gerber (PH) is more interested in maintaining their lucrative State Farm partnership than doing right by the customer. As I investigated, it was clear they had diagnosed the AC problem as a punctured condenser unit AND, according to Chad Harrison, ‘Collusion’ Manager at Gerber (PH), a damaged compressor. Why not notify State Farm that the more expensive compressor was damaged? First, it does not appear to be a part of the original estimate submitted by Gerber (PH) to State Farm, an $80 billion company that will do anything to spend as little as possible. Second, when Gerber (PH) did report the damaged AC compressor (at least two days before pick-up) State Farm’s ‘virtual’ adjuster asked whether the accident caused damage to the AC compressor. Even though I informed the ‘collusion’ specialists at Gerber (PH) that the AC ran fine prior to the accident and did not function after, they told State Farm the compressor unit was ‘too far from the impact to be damaged in the accident’. As far as I can tell, the ‘collusion’ specialists at Gerber (PH) did not take my vehicle to an AC specialist for diagnosis. Instead, as Chad the ‘Collusion’ Manager told me, they ‘determine all damage’ and informed State Farm the accident did not cause my AC compressor to fail. At one point I finally said to Chad the ‘Collusion’ Manager, “Do you really think I hit someone on purpose to get a broken AC unit fixed.” He agreed this was preposterous, but it’s clear Chad and his ‘collusion’ specialists found it far more convenient to please State Farm over me, which is inexcusable. The final insult? Everyone but me was aware of this for at least 2 days prior to pick-up and NO ONE told me anything!Two days after leaving Gerber (PH), the problem with my AC compressor was diagnosed by AC specialists at a shop I trust. They reported to State Farm that in all likelihood the front-end collision blew out the AC compressors expansion valve. Finally, State Farm decided to act like ‘a good neighbor’. They reversed their earlier decision to reject the repair based on the ‘collusion’ specialists at Gerber (PH) and 10 days after leaving Gerber Philips Highway, my vehicle has cold AC.It’s my belief that all frustration, annoyance and anger I experienced would have been avoided if Gerber (PH) had provided me, the customer, with the service they promised. From my experience though, it’s clear the ‘collusion’ specialists at Gerber Philips Highway care more about their ‘direct billing’ relationship with State Farm than the customer. If you have the choice, take your business elsewhere. If not, be careful.
They did an average job on our car. Took them twice as long than estimated and car wasn’t completely ready when we picked it up. You get repair updates on Tuesdays and Thursday’s. Kevin, our service coordinator, was great to work with. He took care of our matters.
Stopped by here for a small scratch on my brand new Subaru and the main guy helped me out on the spot. If I ever have a major issue I would be bringing my car here without a doubt. There are still good people in this world. Thanks a bunch guys.

From beginning to end they were incredibly nice, fast and I was very pleased with the work they did on my car as well! The staff was friendly and made me feel like I had known them forever. I had just moved to Jacksonville two weeks prior to my accident and they got me in within a few days to fix my bumper. Do not believe their lifetime warranty they will try to weasel out of doing the work that they messed up.I had to take my car back twice for fixing the paint and three times to get the windshield (wiper sensor) fixed so it would work.I strongly do not recommend this place....
Ive been there twice and both times received professional courteous service. The work performed also appear to be top notch. Theyre also willing to discuss other options which may be less expensive. This was greatly appreciated.
Had to go here because insurance demanded it. They were supposed to fix the front quarter panel and blend the paint. Which they did, however when putting the door back on they ruined the widow tint, and the door now closes improperly. These things were discussed on delivery and I was assured we could bring the car back and they would take care of it . When my wife went back they said they needed to order new trim (fair enough) but they gave some BS answer about the door and air flow. REALLY? what should take a few minutes to adjust has now become an issue. I already have to get my own tinted window fixed, i may as well order the parts and finish the job myself. If your insurance tries to send you here. Lovely and courteous. A REAL person called me almost every other day. Wow, not a sixteen year old girl texting me random updates.....like my nationally recognized insurance company. ... My repair was very complicated, as my entire back end was crushed by a rear end collision..the manager was thorough and methodical, I didnt mind it took a longer time, I wanted it done right. I will go back. Thank you for your time.
My car has been hit several times by other drivers and Gerber has done an outstanding job in terms of paint jobs both times!Only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because they forgot a rubber plug which caused some water to enter the car as it rained. Mechanic refused to take fault yet I was offered a magic free rental while my car was back in the shop for a few days.. also forgot a few clips on my bumper.However, PAINT JOB CAN NOT BE BEAT!Highly recommended over progressive service center which returned my car looking like a spotted leopard took a can of spray paint to my hood.

So I really did not realize you needed to schedule an appointment but when I walked in today the opening hour Saturday morning 6/4/2016, likely 1st customer of the morning, a receptionist and 1 gentleman, both did not really appear to be inundated by work, appeared they were web browsing, they asked how could they help, and I said I just wanted someone to look at my wifes car so I could get a sizing up of the work, (rear bumper cover replace and I have the new one already & front bumper small dent) they didnt even ask what was wrong or what I needed.. they were like Oh do you have an appointment? Well I know damn well they knew I didnt have an appointment but thinking they really did not appear to be busy at all ... I am like... no but I just need an estimate for some work I need done on this vehicle, and for a second it seemed like they valued a potential customer. when the girl said, yeah wed be happy to ..........followed with, unfortunately we would have to set up an appointment, how does Monday or Tuesday sound? I said NAH, I work during the week, and they obviously did not care about any potential customer, and I simply said I will someone who will give me a quote today and left. 2 STARS that they were not rude or disrespectful, but the lose 3 stars lost where they displayed no willingness to get out their chairs, or even question exactly it was I needed fixed. I would have even been happy if they said Hey look, we usually have to set an appointment yto do an estimate. but let see real quick what you need, and see if we can work with your schedule that best fits your needs so that we can properly evaluate your repairs but because they appeared not to even care or want to help. did not spark an interest with me to consider them further. They did obviously lack the key skill sets where making the customer feel valued typically keeps the customer but they instantly confirmed I did not want them to work on my wifes car. Now they may likely retort....Oh we are so sorry you had a less than desirable experience. our staff really had a full load of work, this not typical, but you need an appointment because so much work is going on...la la la.....but bottom line...they opted out of some work. It does appear from ratings there are some good reviews, but i READ AFTER THE VISIT..... a 1 star review where they used a customers car as storage?? So whether its true or not......based on my own short moments with the people in that office that should be the face of the company.......only makes me feel better that I walked out.
Wish I could give this place more stars. Couldnt thank them enough they put my bumper back on my car after an employee there saw me pull over next to their shop in the pouring rain with my bumper halfway underneath my car. Such nice people and great employees, like I said couldnt thank them enough !!
Need little work done on my wifes Mustang. We were referred to Gerber by Pet Boys, really super nice company found out the needs for the mustang. Parts were ordered and we will be notified when they arrive. The were more customer service orientated then any of the other collision centers we talked to. That includes Ford. All it was is the rubber seal for the trunk. Ford made a really big deal $$$.$$ never again will we deal with Ford.Well we went back today 08/22/2017 the new part had arrived and they called we brought the Mustang in and they took it to the back, I had a super hot cup of coffee while waiting and if a person wanted cold water it was there free of charge. Small waiting area but most friendly folks. The Mustang was taken care of in about a half hour so we were out of there and having breakfast. Great place if you need work done, they do really fine job.

I am completely unimpressed with this organization as a whole. I used the OP location to repair a car about 18 mths ago. They kept the car two weeks longer than estimated and wouldn’t correct errors during my final inspection.I called this location to receive a quote on minor repairs for an incident the insurance company has issued a check. The lady was rude, told me they couldnt use the insurance companys rate because I was already issued a check and the self-pay would be way more expensive. I would recommend going elsewhere.For a local company this place is terrible!!

By far the most unorganized and customer negligent group of people! They rescheduled my repair three times and forgot twice!!! If you must go there, demand to work with Kelly Garner only!!! She is the only one who seems to be genuinely concerned with the customer and their needs. The rest of them only care about who gets the biggest insurance check!!! Look around their parking lot and youll see enough to drive right passed this place! It looks like a junk yard
These guys could use a good review on here. They did an absolute fantastic job replacing my bumper. They were able to match the paint color to a tee! I recommend you ask for Terry.The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I commented upon dropping it off that it annoys me when my radio is touched. It was powered off when I dropped it off but on when I picked it up. As well as all my climate controls being messed with and out of sync.As long as they keep their hands to themselves and their curiosity in the bag...They do outstanding work.

But unfortunately, when the level of service I received (and my family) was so negative, I wanted to inform others and hopefully prevent them from experiencing the same anguish as I.I damaged my 2016 Silverado while visiting Maryland and brought the truck home to Jacksonville for repair, as part of an insurance claim.The initial visit was excellent, the team was friendly and seemed genuinely helpful. But that is where the positive ends...From that point on it was the following:-Horrendous Quality Control-Complete Lack of Regular Status Communication-Missed Commitments (after check-ins and previous commitments)-Multiple Trips (and Disappointments) to the facilityI will not name specific Gerber team members, but I WAS COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED with my experience. Gave me a quote based on a commercial insurance claim and when the ins co. cut me a check and I called them to schedule the work they asked what insurance company and to have them call the shop. Insurance agent said he was hung up on twice when he called so I had to go somewhere else that had a similar quote since the check was already cut. BS move.
