Pinegrove has always been excellent in all its faucets. I snagged 20+ day dry aged for my bachelor party, but any day is worth a aged steak. Burgers, pitas, and sandwiches are great. Best hidden gem, theyre as big as they want and need to be.

Neat little mom-and-pop operation. Had two good meals... Fish and Shrimp, and the Shrimp Po Boy. Thsir dry aged meat looked amazing. The one bathroom is terrible. Not just dirty, its tiny.

Great service, deli cuts of meat, sandwiches and burgers, and even fried seafood! They serve and clear tables too! We are planning on coming back to buy fodder for our gas grill...lol

Ordered The Raj burger. Patty was unevenly cooked with raw bits somehow on half the edges. Beef was crumbly and lacking flavor. Fried green tomato had been subbed for a soggy fried regular tomato. Couldnt complain if this was a $6 burger but at $12 I wasnt impressed.

Just tried the Cuban (my first time having one) and it is incredible! Thank you to all the staff for going above and beyond. This has been a favorite spot for years, and that will continue in years to come!

Ordered a Grove burger with a water. Great burger that melted in my mouth. You really can tell a difference in the burger from a lot of other restaurants who serve burgers. Very tasty and simple with lettuce tomato mayo and cheese. Couldnt finish my fries with it.

I had a veggie wrap and potato salad. The wrap was quite tasty. The potato salad needed a lot of salt and pepper but it had no onion and that made me happy! My friend had the patty melt and changed her bread to rye and she too had the potato salad. We both were pleased. Recommend, Amazing

My husband says I shouldnt review this place so it doesnt draw anymore people in but I cant help it, Pinegrove Market and Deli is so good! Its a small and cozy place, love that they have old local Lee High yearbooks mixed in with other reading material. The food is outstanding! My favorite is the steak in a sack. My husband likes to try everything and has loved it all so far.

Great local spot for lunch. Its definitely the best chicken salad in the city and even the kids hot dog is delicious. They have outdoor seating in an adjacent patio as well. Go early (around 11:15) to avoid the lunch rush.

We visited with a friend who is a regular as we wanted a good steak while on holiday from England. The brothers were amazing and very good at suggesting the right cut, etc. I am only sorry that we ran out of time to visit again so I could try mamas meatloaf. NEXT TIME! Highly recommend.

I try to get to Pinegrove once every week or two. Its the only place I know where I spend $15 on a sandwich and fries and feel like I underpaid when Im finished. Consistently fresh and flavorful. The Cuban is killer and the Club Croissant (I like it in a pita) are my second choice.

This is my new favorite place and it is close to my house. The Ortega is wonderful and they have the best Taboulli. Its the authentic made kind, not like these trendy restaurants. Also the grilled chicken salad is beyond a ten. That is the best chicken breast I have had anywhere. You guys will be seeing a lot more of me. Thanks you!!

Love this local casual eatery for lunch. Fresh sandwiches, we love their Ortega and the Lamb burger. Second to none. They have set up out door dining as well as socially distanced indoor eating.

What a neighborhood gem! The shrimp & grits were delicious & the steak in a sack has chunks of steak instead of thinly shaved steak. The employees are friendly & courteous. The place is loaded with charm & history, my husband & I will definitely be back.

Wife an I went here for the first time and IT WAS DELICIOUS..! I highly recommend for an afternoon lunch, or just a get out with freinds. Great warm neighborhood enviorment. We sat outside in the tent covered patio. Loved it I had the Greek a delicious lamb burger and Wife had the Nader a great Roast beef pastrami and taboouli sandwich. SoSo good. My husband and I love Pine Grove. We eat here at least once a month. It is walk up and order which is great for a quick meal. They also have an outdoor seating area which is so nice on a cool day. The family who runs it are friendly and helpful. Although you dont need much advice on the menu because everything is equally delicious.My favorite items are the fish and grits (ask for the sauce that goes with it!) and the Cuban. My husband loves the Nader, which has pastrami and tabouli, house made of course.While you wait for your order, check out the deli items. The beef is aged in house and is of the highest quality. There are also a few side items that are worth taking home.It is overall a great little spot and worth a visit.

When Google Maps first told me Id arrived at Pinegrove Deli, I thought it had made a mistake. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood right off busy Highway 17, Pinegrove is the definition of a locals hangout. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, and other lunch items. I can personally recommend their chicken salad sandwich - not only was the chicken salad delicious, but they added bacon to it...amazing! I would definitely stop here again!

This place is not only delicious, but the customer service is outstanding! My favorite is the Victor Victoria but you really cant go wrong with anything you choose.

I even saw fried fish and chips, the place is truly one of a kind and all on it own their is no other place like Pinegrove go check them out. I won’t ever by my strips anywhere else again. Not cheap, but the best cut of dry aged in town. Bought 4 steaks and took them home, grilled them up for the family. They have a new customer for the butcher case!

My daughter and husband went there for lunch today. She has a service dog and was sitting outside. Her father went in to place their order. She was approached that she couldn’t have a dog there. She explained that she has been there before and that it was a service dog. She was then approached again asking why it isn’t wearing a vest? It’s over a 100 degrees today. Where is the dogs service license? She has one but we do not have to show you . They were rude and mean.... her father ask for there food to go and told them we won’t be coming back. Surely they should know better as long as they have been in business . I hope all service dog owners are offended.

We’ve been going to Pinegrove Deli occasionally for the past couple years and never had a problem until tonight. We submitted our order online and when ordering the “Grove Burger” it gives the option to add an extra patty so I did and paid online. When I got their to pick up the order the guy points at the “extra patty” listed on the receipt and tells me “We don’t do that” and that I would have to contact the company the handles their online ordering to get my money back. Maybe Pinegrove should have vetted their online ordering site before launching it. Great customer service. I had to rate it with one star in order to leave a review but it doesn’t even rate that. Thanks but we won’t be back.

Pinegrove is one of our favorite local restaurants. The food is always great and the service is top notch. Whether you eat at the restaurant or off their new food truck you will get the best burger in town. Every meal from burgers to shrimp to the meatloaf it all fantastic. They always treat you like family whether you are a regular like us or a newbie.

The food is delicious, but can be a little messy. I had the Raj burger today which has a fried tomato on it. It was very good. Normally I get the lamb burger, which is my favorite. They make their own chips which are very good. The owners are also very personable. I bought some Italian sausage today because it was on sale and the owner made it sound delicious! I cant wait to try it.

Surprised by all of the rave reviews. The guy who took my order (owner?) was rude, rushed and seemed bothered by having a customer. A little more friendly when bringing my pita over. Food was good, but couldn’t help seeing how dirty and unkept the floor and eating area were. I came in for the market, but quickly changed my mind about buying anything from the case.

We had been hearing about this place for quite some time and finally had the opportunity to make a stop for some take-out. Upon my arrival it was clear this place is quite the spot to go for lunch as each table inside and out were filled. A line waited for seating and to order to go. The man running the register was quick and helpful this being my first time. I ordered the onion rings as my side at the suggestion of several friends saying they must batter them with crack! I stood to the side waiting on my order with others waiting on theirs, trying not to look too much at tables with their food. The photos posted ARE what you get! The man at the register made sure those waiting on to go orders were taken care of in a timely manner. Maybe we looked too hungrily at what the other patrons eating! Once I did get my meals, and brought home to my family, it was everything we had been told it would be. I barely saw the burgers my kids were served as they were gone in only minutes despite the size of them! The onion rings, why yes, even after taking a ride home surrounded in carryout containers, they were still crispy! If you havent been, I strongly recommend going. Either for takeout or try finding yourself a table. Its a bit pricey, but worth it.

Stopped in to meet some friends for a quick bite and decided to have the Steak in a Sack. I figured some good shredded beef and cheese is basic enough. NO WAY, these guys cooked a steak, cut it up into bite size pieces and stuffed it into a pita with peppers, onions and cheese. It was fantastic!!

Small butcher and deli that changes with customer and neighborhood needs. Simple, delicious food - at least what I had was delicious. Got the Sals Patty Melt - grilled onions, havarti cheese, and 1/2 lb steak burger on grilled thick cut sourdough bread.The burger had great flavor by itself, not depending on toppings to taste good, and was properly cooked to my desired temp. The onions were perfectly done - still had a little bit of bite, but fully cooked (I generally dont like raw onions). And of course havarti cheese is always good.Highly recommend - friendly people, fantastic food, simple and quick. GIVE THEM A TRY!

I have only ever had amazing service at the pine grove deli. one of the first time I ever stopped in they gave me a free sampler with the food I order based on an offhand comment of how everything looked amazing and I wish I could try it all. It is phenomenal food. If you havent tried it, you definitely should. its very much worth it.

Great people, really good food. I have never had a bad meal here and every person I have brought with me for lunch, or picked up food for has loved everything. My go-to favorite is the Pinegrove Melt - Grilled Turkey, Ham and Bacon with Pepper Havarti. I also can recommend the Cuban Sandwich or Greek Burger (made with lamb and absolutely delicious). On Fridays and Saturdays, Fish (grilled or fried) shrimp and grits or a Po Boy is the way to go.

Definitely one of the best burgers in Jax. The staff members are always friendly and the service is exquisite. Also, this is a great place to get dry-aged steaks. If I’m planning a special dinner, this is the only place I will get them from. I wish I could give this place six stars.

Its a small place but the FOOD is AWESOME

I had not been in here in years. Maybe 10+ years. Stopped by last friday late afternoon @3ish. Had the Lamb burger special. WOW! it was tasty. Not real big but very very good. I HIGHLY recommend it. Not only was the Lamb burger a winner but also the potato salad. I am not a big potato salad fan but I chose it as a healthier alternative to chips. I dont know if it was healthier because it was really really good too. Pleasantly surprised. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they charged $2.99 [$3.20 with tax] for the drink. OUCH! That brought this $12 meal to over $16 ! I would have thought the drink was included at $12 [and a little side salad]. Just sayin. I do have a craving for that Lamb burger now. But at $12 it needs a little more than 2oz of potato salad or chips.

Pine Grove Deli has the best fresh sandwiches in the city! Small neighborhood markets like this are fading away but this place is going strong and has a very loyal following.

I have been going here since 2011. Never had one bad visit. Always get the club. And usually pick up a couple of sausage links. Yummy

First visit. Recommended by a co-worker. Picked up a beautiful ribeye from the butcher shop and decided to stay for lunch. Had a fantastic steak in a sack with fries and watched the basketball game. Cole Pepper (WJXT) dropped in while I was there. Cant wait to try something else from the menu.

This is the best place to get a sand which. I try something new everytime and it is the best. My only regret is I dont have enough money to eat there everyday or I would. Steak in a sack is amazing. Looking forward to going to fish fry they have on Friday and Saturdays. I take everyone I can there.

Pinegrove is a great place to a get a good burger, have a beer and talk with friends. Also they have fantastic steaks. Let them cool them or take them home and grill them yourself, you cant go wrong!

Pretty good experience at Pinegrove Market (sans the company I was with). The Ortega is a good choice: pita stuffed with chicken salad and tabouli and served with a choice of homemade chips, french fries, potato salad or pasta salad. I chose the chips which were good but could have been lightly seasoned with something. The place is pretty unassuming but welcoming at the same time. The tabouli tasted very fresh. I’ll be back to try other menu selections

Flying way under the radar, it was my first visit after a good while, it was always good before but now, AMAZING! Uncles steak Benedict, wow, Reuben, also great, sorry no food pictures was too hungry :)

I had grits with cheese, toast, 3 sunny eggs, and country ham. It was delicious. The service was decently fast, and staff is very respectful.

Ive never had a bad sandwich here. The service is quick and friendly. My favorite is the patty melt. Both homemade sauces on the counter are great for adding to your sandwich or dipping your chips in!
