Decided to add some organization to my life and get my closets done. I found the company with the 40% off of my service in the Mint magazine. The gentleman that created my design was very efficient and patient in getting me a design that I would be happy with and budget friendly. He was also very thorough in making sure that I was happy with everything before I decided to purchase.Although, the install date was a long way out it was worth the wait. The installation was completed with ease. Materials were delivered on the first day and two rooms installations were completed. The next day they came back to install the laundry room. The design for the laundry room was incorrect but the company quickly worked to get the design fixed.Overall, we are satisfied with the service that we received and the completion of our closets. Look to use this company again in the future to complete other closets in our home.

I cannot say enough good things about Closets by Design. Kirsten was my closet designer. She listened carefully and created the perfect walk-in closet for me. Because of Kirstens careful design I have more room in my closet than I know what to do with. She is truly an expert. Anthony installed the cabinetry and is a perfectionist. I highly recommend both! If I had more closets I would hire them to do more work. I attached a picture of my closet but it is difficult to see because of my clothing. In person my closet is absolutely beautiful.

***UPDATE***After 4 months without a closet and 6 visits to our house, our closet is finally complete. Correct material, bronze handles, mirrored door and base moldings. The finished product is what we wanted and what the designer planned it was just a painfull process to get it.

We had a walk in closet and a large pantry done by Closets by Design. Nate was our installer, he arrived on time every day, cleaned up when finished, and was extremely professional and polite. Both spaces are functional and turned out great. The pantry solved all my storage needs.

Update 9/16/21: To my surprise, Rob (installer) rang the doorbell this morning and had everything he needed to finish the installation. looks like I have a voicemail from the installation manager last night saying Rob will be back to finish up. Rob did finish the job and I dont have to wait until next Thursday. I updated my review to 3 stars but its really more like 3 1/2 stars. I appreciate that the manager resolved the issue right away; however, this should not have happened to begin with since this was a $3600 + custom closet. Maybe they install ones more expensive that this. but for me, that was a pretty penny. I also want to mention that once our designer got me to sign, I did not hear from her again. Everything had to be routed to the main office and thats fine if that the way they operate. I guess I just expected more. I cant say enough about Rob though. He really did a good job.9/15/21: I am very disappointed with Closets by Design. The experience with the designer was good. Liz listened to my needs and designed accordingly. I was so impressed that I signed the contract right away. I did not solicit any other quotes. Installation day was yesterday, 9/15. Rob (installer) can on time and was very pleasant and professional. As he was installing, he told me about a problem with the measurements and contacted his manager for advise. He could have just proceeded with the plans and not even tell me but he did. That was admirable. In the end, I agreed to the adjustments that were needed. Towards the end of the day, I asked if we were done and he said he didnt have the drawers and had to use the shelves for another part to account for the incorrect measurements. Additionally, the rod he had was too short for the cabinet. So much for custom!!!! I called the office and they told me they can come back NEXT Thursday! So, why did we even schedule for today and why was I not notified of the missing drawers that morning? Mind you, I called the office first thing in the morning to pay the balance via phone before the installer even came!!! So Im fully paid and NO cabinets! Seriously????? The office made NO effort to correct this other than to tell me they will have the installation manager call me back! for what? to tell me they cannot finish the job until next week?????

I am absolutely thrilled with my new walk-in closet. I had a great design experience with Lynn when planning the closet, followed by the excellent installation team of Jamey and Jason. J & J were very meticulous in the installation and making all the adjustments on site. They were very respectful of our home and a pleasure to work with and I appreciated them cleaning the area before they left. I would highly recommend Closets By Design for their design experience, customer service, and installations.

I had to do something about my closet it was an unfinished drab disaster. It featured, partially painted wooden shelves that shifted when you placed anything on them and the all too common wire shelves, half of which were hanging off of the scabrous walls. I wanted something better and the Instagram algorithm got me! My time looking at anything in the Home Improvement category sent a CBD (Closet by Design) ad my way...and I was intrigued. I wanted a quote, so I called and set up my appointment. Matthew came out and gave my closet a look over after I explained to him my vision and needs for the project. My subsequent chat with him revealed to me a seasoned designer, whose insight I would come to respect. I understood that Matt was not just a designer but also a salesman. They want you to buy the product of course, but with Matt I surely did not feel pressured at all into buying something because he wanted me to. I liked his plan, I was ok with the price, and so I agreed with the terms. In a few weeks I would have the closet I wanted. On the day of installation, I was called by Howie who informed me he would be at my residents within the hour. This small gesture was foreshadowing the professionalism I would experience with Howie. He gave me a rundown of what to expect during the install and would call me over to discuss if there was any deviation from the original blueprints. Howie was great and the main reason I am writing about my experience with CBD.My overall experience with this company was good but in order to be transparent with my review I will now share a few minor gripes.Very Minor GripesPersonnel- During the initial consultation my designer Matt said he would come back to check on the final product to make sure it hit the mark. I was a little disappointed he did not return and that I have not heard from him since. My disappointment comes only because said he would return and I took him at his word.- When Howie arrived to my house, I asked if he had shoe covers. He checked his car but could not find any. Before he left he assured me that he would make sure he always had a few covers in his car.- There was a small scratch on the wall after installation.Product- Thank goodness Matt told me to paint the wall before installation. A lot of it was still visible when the closet was done. I thought that there was a going to be a liner or back panel installed also but nope.- The install date was sooner than expected. Normally this is not a gripe but since I had to pay half up front for the project and the other half on the day of install, the time I had to save up was cut by nearly a month. I was told Id have two months from consultation and install that time also the main reason why I agreed to doing the project.- This is an expensive service. My closet is admittingly small and my quote was nearly $2600. This was with the bells and whistles striped away too.ConclusionAt the end of the day, I will be recommending CBD to any of my friends who cant make the upgrades themselves and have money saved up for it. I will be returning for another project (laundry room). When I do call them again, I will ask for Matt as my designer and Howie as my installer. They did a masterful job and I look forward to working with them again.

Absolutely love my closets! Stephanie was very helpful in the design and laid out all my options while not trying to up-sell me on things I didnt need. Jason was very efficient and even made a minor adjustment for me that made my closets perfect. The only thing I would do differently is go with the everyday finish for the edges. For some reason on day one my husband and I kept nicking our fingers on the sharper edges of the classic finish. Other than that, it was 5 star service from start to finish!

Debi did a great job of designing and Brian installed completely in two days. Had an issure with laundry room cabinets being too low and washing machine lid would not open completely. Called for service and three days later two gentlemen came out and raised the cabinets. Everything is now perfect. Great job all around.

The work was not completed yet I paid in full. There is a closet that was not done and the pantry is missing parts. Larry the installation manager said that there he needs a week from the time of installation (the day they start) to order parts. That was almost two weeks ago and as of today, still has not even placed the order. And, he will not give me a date when any of the work will be done. When discussing this he said that I was being ridiculous. When I asked to speak with a manager, he told me that there is no one above him and he refused to say who he reported to.

My very first experience working with a custom design company. On August 6 I had the pleasure to working with Doug and go over design for my kitchen pantry, excellent professional and very thorough .On October 7th Anthony and Jim did the installation, it lasted around 3 hours (expected) they arrived at 9:36 and left around 12:40. They were punctual and explained me the hole process although I was not expecting to have an after project, honestly. I was left w/ huge patches (caulk) that I had to sand, sand &&& sannnddd down and husband had to paint then bc my arms were sore (after spending hours removing all the stuff I had in there) and making sure my kiddos won’t touch them 🤓Understandable at some point bc my old pantry system was the standard wiring one but I think it was a bit excessive. Overall I was happy, I have a couple more things to finish but I’m happy. Thank you guys!

I had a family member pass away the day before my install date and I had to leave town. They charge a 20% fee for rescheduling the install. Regardless of what’s going on, they charge the fee. The contract states if any rescheduling 3 days before install date, there is a fee. You can’t plan a death. You can’t plan an emergency. When signing a he contract, you don’t think someone will die. They dont care. They want your money. Just a caution, within 3 days of install, if you have an emergency come up, hell if you die, somebody is still expected to get a closet installed or you will pay a fee. Very sad. My lesson, never sign a contract with a company that doesn’t allow for flexibility in certain emergency situations. My sales rep Brian was great 👍🏽

I had a closet system installed in a reach-in closet. The installer Ryan was great…got right to work and cleaned up afterward. I was very pleased and will have a second closet done as soon as I can clean it out!

Overall a good experience and we are very happy with the final product. The only reason we dont give it five stars is due to some mixups between the different parts of the company. First there was a small measurement issue in our master closet that required an overnight re-cut of one area that was then installed the next day instead of being done in one day. Then there was a custom part that was overlooked in the orders for our pantry so that required another two weeks after then pantry install and a second trip back out. So instead of everything being done in 2 days it took more like 3 total. Everyone was friendly and helpful, theres just some communication issues that could be worked out internally between departments, it seems. Installers were great - professional and clearly knew what they were doing. In the end we got what we wanted with only a small delay, no harm. We love how organized everything is now and are happy with the purchase. Just keep your copies of everything and make sure nothing gets missed along the way. :)

We had a wonderful experience with our walk in closet design and installation. Mike did a fabulous job.

The installers gave a call ahead as requested & were super friendly. They did an excellent job adapting to the space the RIC was designed to go in. The drawer faces needed to be taken off since it was a tight turn. The installers spent extra time taking care to install & trim out the edges accuratley & cutting down the bench back splash & adding a piece on the right wall to make it look cohesive. I love my entry bench & cabinet, I spent months looking at different options, & I went w/ a custom job, as behind a door bench can be tricky to measure. Howie did a great job, caring about the work he did & was professional.

Take a pass on this offer, I wish we would’ve had the competitor take care of our closet. We placed an order on February 17. On our original date of install April 16, the installer arrived (45 minutes late) with the wrong material. A new group of installers arrived on April 20th our closet is now some what installed. Unfortunately, we’re now being told that our total cost does not include some of the items that were on our price sheet. It’s the definition of bait and switch, most of the items are included but “some aren’t”.For 1 closet to be installed we’ve had 2 install appointments(the first appointment with the wrong material the installer was not only late but was here for 5 hours and we ... the customer had to advise all of his materials were not what we ordered), 8 installers and at least 5 phone calls. This company is doing a fabulous job at providing me with excuses and who made mistakes but unfortunately are not as good at providing a solution.

From start to finish we had a phenomenal experience! Gia was excellent going over our options and the finished product is amazing! We are so happy with our custom closets in our master bedroom and garage.

He left every room when finished clean and ready for me to move my belongings back in. Went online to submit for a free consultation. After a few minutes I received a phone call from their office. They informed me that their online appointments are not accurate and they are at least 2-3 weeks out to book. As I was speaking to an employee there she interrupted me multiple times while speaking with her coworkers. Very unprofessional in their call center and cancelled consultation. Will definitely look for another company.

I am SO thrilled with my custom closet. Domenic was super helpful in creating a few custom designs to choose from. The final product and installation looks so good. Wonderful experience with Closets by Design in Jacksonville. Several of our neighbors who saw the finished product have scheduled an appointment with Closets by Design to get their closets done. Jamie and his partner came in to install my custom closet two weeks ago. They arrived on time and installed our large closet in six hours. They cleaned up when done. I absolutely love the closet. Our designer, Gia did an excellent job creating the closet based on our needs and wants and worked within our budget. I highly recommend this company.

This company came highly recommended by some friends. From the 1st apt to the install, this company has been amazing. Customer service has been top notch. from the estimator, to the office staff to the professional installer. Would not hesitate to use them again. Worth every penny, couldnt be more happy.

The design process took four hours to complete. The measurements did not take into account my shelves that we already installed. The installer had to move things around for the cabinets to fit in the garage. The doors sent originally had the handles at different heights and the small cabinet door was wrong as well. They never sent the drawers I ordered either. I waited a month to get replacement doors and they didn’t match. The original doors had white inside the replacement were grey. Didn’t matter as the handles were still not lined up and the drawers were not sent either. I’m sure this will get resolved but for the money I spent it should have been correct the first time.I don’t think CBD will ever be contacted again to do any work on my house.

Our designer consultant, Lyn, did a great job putting together our pantry and reach-in closest makeovers. This was our second round of projects with Lyn, and, once again, we were very satisfied with the outcome. In addition to their eye-appeal, these projects substantially increased usable storage space. Our installers, Mike and Gil, did a great job as well. They arrived and finished on time. The closets are beautiful, and the workspaces were spotless when Mike and Gil finished. We especially appreciated that all members of our Closets by Design team were respectful of the company’s mask policy in a time of pandemic.

I absolutely love my new reach in closet. I cant believe the amount of storage that it has. Brian was absolutely fabulous as the installer. He was punctual cleaned up his mess and was prompt at getting the work completed. I would recommend Closets By Design. Gia Kellus was my designer and Anthony Triceri was the technician assigned to my job. I had my upstairs bonus room totally redone to use as a sewing room and a guest bedroom. I had workstations created with multiple shelving units on the opposite wall put in to maximize my storage. The closet was redone to include multiple shelves to take advantage of corners while still allowing space to hang clothes. I was very pleased with Anthony’s workmanship and attitude. I felt that he really cared about what I had to say and was willing without question to get things fixed. There were a few minor things discovered with the materials that will require a fix, but I’m confident that it will be done quickly. Thank you you Anthony for a great job and Gia for your awesome design work!

I loved working with Rosemary for our two master walk in closets! She was kind, helpful and practical. She utilized every inch of my space all while keeping the price reasonable. The install team, Mike and Brian were excellent as well. Nice guys and did an awesome job! Rosemary is already coming back to design a built-in desk area AND Murphy bed! I had a good experience with this company for a walk-in closet. I was able to take advantage of their end of year sale, which amounted to a significant savings. Communication with the office was easy. My designer, Gena, was very skillful and nice to work with. My installers, Mike and Bryan, were very courteous and respectful of my home (even asked if I wanted them to take off their shoes.) Job was done in a timely manner and they tidied up afterward.

Brian, the designer, listened to what we wanted and came up with a design that met both our needs and our budget. Closets by Design removed the wire shelves and replaced them with beautiful shelves and drawers to triple the storage in the pantry and quadruple the storage in the master closet. The work was not only functional, but also beautiful. In addition to the extremely high quality of their work, Chris and Mike, the guys who performed the installation, were professional and meticulous. They worked non-stop for most of the day and completed what could easily have been a two-day job in one day.
