Purchasing from out of state I had spoken to other dealers and some would literally dismiss me when I told them I was out of town. I went to the Travelcamp website in Jacksonville, FL and it said they made buying from out of town easy. That could not have been more true! Chase did an excellent job of taking all my info. and getting the unit I wanted secured. A week later my family and I were on a plane and picked up are RV without a hitch. It was seamless and some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. If you are looking and are out of town they WILL take care of you! Oh and ask for Chase too!!!!!

Went in on a Sunday and was greeted by Rebecca. I told her I was a first time buyer and she treated me with respect and patience and never pressured me. She showed me many different options including used campers and explained the benefits of one feature over another. I finally found what I was looking for and was ready to put down a deposit but she informed me that someone had already placed a deposit on that camper a day earlier. She went the extra mile and found the same one at a different location and had it shipped in two days. She kept me up to date with the status (even on her day off) and helped me through the whole process. Financing was fair and easy to work with to achieve what I wanted. I finalized the paperwork and was provided a thorough orientation on Friday and towed it out Saturday morning. Thanks to the entire team including parts dept who answered a lot of questions. I look forward to the same quality service here on out.

Purchased 31 ml Vibe by Forest River at Travel Camp it was not ready when I arrived so I was put up in the motelFor one night and reimbursed several weeks later VIA mail and when I picked up the trailer it had two love seats in it it was supposed to have one love seat and two recliners so they took one love seat out and promised that the two recliners would be shipped direct to me at my location in Ohio as thats where I was going to be for a couple of months. Well its been over 2 months and I kept being promised ship dates from travel camp via Forest River. My salesman Jake has attempted to stay in contact with me about the issue although there is still no resolve frustrated to say the least because I bought and paid for to recliners to be in the trailer and they took the second of seat out so I only have seating for two people .

My rating is so poor because we cancelled our extended warranty in June...it is almost November and we still have not received our check back for almost $3000. I have called numerous times since June and spoke to several different people all with the promise we would get it soon. This is unacceptable! Over four months and they still dont have an answer and know the status of my refund. I am to the point that I am going to contact an attorney.

I bought a used camper from consignment recently at Travelcamp Jacksonville. My sales agent was Mitch Flemmers. He worked his tail off to get me the best price and took care of all the details so well. I found him to be absolutely diligent, professional and caring. He answered every question or concern I had with prompt and courteous service. In addition to Mitch, I found everyone to be extremely professional and thorough....from the receptionist (Gloria) to the warranty specialist (Spencer) to the walk-through agent (Pierce) and the technician that checked everything on my camper, installed my brake control, installed my sway bar and weight distributor (and went over how to hitch and unhitch, etc.), Austin. Everyone I dealt with was great.I would recommend to seek purchase of a camper from here. I did visit several places, and am so glad I chose Travelcamp of Jacksonville.

If you’re looking for quality products and excellent customer service then do not go here! I bought a Riverside Retro, which is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased by the way, at the first of this month. I guess my biggest mistake was buying it without seeing it because I never would have otherwise. But I live eight hours away and they had the model we were looking for. I had so many issues with it in the first month. I have called this dealer at least a dozen times not one single call back. Funny how when I was buying the camper they called me back instantly, but now that I have questions and problems no one is ever available. I’ve called the manufacturer, nothing. I’ve called the warranty department, nothing. One of my issues is a gas leak in the stove area someplace and now we can’t even use it in fear of dying. I don’t think that’s a petty complaint but yet they don’t seem to take it seriously. Now I’m sure Travelcamp will say β€œ we’re sorry you had a bad experience someone from our department will be in contact with you as soon as possibleβ€œ just like they have in all of the other negative reviews. Well, I don’t really expect anyone to be in contact with me and I have given up on any kind of assistance from this place.

We bought our RV from them four years ago. It was (supposably) brand new. The first year the right slide broke took it them almost a year to fix it. That was after strong words between all of us. When they were working on it they didnt keep refrigerator door open. They were suppose to clean it...NO ... Mold everywhere. We had to replace some of the drawers. So we now have had it almost four years after everything the left side slide doesnt work. Again in the shop to fix it. Also all furniture has peeled. Flacks every where. to say in the long run wouldnt buy anything again from them. BUT we have enjoyed it when we have been able to use it. Love RVing. Just my opinion, we may have just got a lemon from the factory.

What started as a very good experience with Travelcamp, unfortunately turned into a very bad one.We had been shopping for a motorhome and decided on a Tiffen Class A that we found at Travelcamp in St. Augustine. Since the motorhome was used, we asked the salesman how we would know that everything was working as it should and that the vehicle would be functional and safe to use. He told us that it would go through a 144-point inspection. We specifically asked about the levelers and the salesman assured us that they would be checked and would be repaired if they were not working properly. He also said that the repair to the levelers, if needed, would be at the dealership’s expense.During the walk-through/orientation the levelers would not work properly. Travelcamp assured us they would take care of it, and they would be working properly when the unit was delivered. When they delivered the motorhome, the levelers did not work properly. We called their customer service a few times and they assured us someone would get back to us. No one did. After calling numerous times we were finally able to get ahold of a manager, who was very apologetic and said she would call back. Again, nothing. We called again and got more promises that we would be called back. It has been over a month and as of yet we have heard nothing. No return calls. No attempts to correct the problem. No effort to honor their word. No working levelers.

I have a review I posted a few months ago, but having difficulty updating it. My brand new camper was delivered to us with multiple issues and was told they would do everything to make it right. It’s been about 4 months or so now and part of that issue was finding a company to do the work because we honestly do not trust them to repair it due to the terrible condition it arrived in. Our camper is currently at Camper World here in Breaux Bridge, LA and let me say they have been amazing to work with, wish we had bought from them but they didn’t have the size of camper we were looking for. It has been there about 3 weeks now, when my husband delivered it they examined and talked with the Service manager who stated they were going to everything to make this right, blah, blah. We are now at a standstill as the repairman has been trying to get in touch with Travelcamp to get the parts he needs and the payment for the services, which is about $1800 due to the amount of issues a BRAND NEW camper has, which is utterly ridiculous. Maybe this will get your attention and you will contact our contact that is trying his best to make our camper usable for us or we will have to pursue further avenues to get you to do the right thing. People be careful dealing with this company they don’t want to take responsibility for poor service.

Needless to say after three weeks of having our camper we were told that it was still in the queue to be troubleshooter, even though my husband did a full walk through with maintenance the day we dropped it off. UPDATE: It is almost 5 months since I asked them to cancel my extended warranty plans, and nothing has been done.Theyre okay, but I wouldnt recommend them. They had the best price anywhere on the trailer I wanted, but they forced me to buy expensive warranty agreements or they would nearly double my interest rate.(Update: See bottom edit for details)I bought them, but requested cancellation as soon as possible. 4 months and several attempts to contact the dealer later, they have given me no assistance in cancelling the agreement. My agreement contract says I need to request a cancellation form from the dealer, but I guess I will not be getting that and will have to pursue other options. On top of all that, my brand new trailer has a serious leak, but after reading my $3000 service agreement, it appears that leaks and water intrusion are not covered so it wont help regardless. If youre looking at Travelcamp, go ahead but please negotiate harder than I did. DO NOT let them bully you into buying the extended warranties as they did me.EDIT: I received a phone call from the finance department the day after posting this review. Suddenly they are happy to send me my warranty cancellation form, after me having made several phone calls, texts, and emails to them over the last four months! On the phone I also learned that the finance department and the sales department dont communicate too well. Instead of giving me OPTIONS, my sales team presented it to me as if the bank would NOT give me a loan unless I made the exact down payment I did. This is what resulted in super high interest rates, because the bank wants you to finance more principal to get the lower rates. As a result, they backed me into buying the extended warranties through a lack of information sharing. If youre shopping for RVs, PLEASE learn from my mistakes and deal extremely slowly and carefully with Travelcamp, or take your business elsewhere!

I called the service department at the Jacksonville Travel Camp on a Thursday afternoon and spoke with Tabitha the service manager and she said we are packed but bring it in I’ll see what we can do.She called us Friday at 5:00 PM and said your camper is ready could you pick it up to day? That I did not expect. We pulled in backed up to the camper only to find out that I did not have the key to the hitch pin. Everything went silent. Then the Tech that was helping us said, I can cut that off. Oh my, that is going above and beyond. He didn’t have to do that. They got everything hooked up and we were ready to go when the Tech saw a wire hanging down from the brake cutoff switch, it turned-out to be damaged and if the camper ever broke away it would be a runaway. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. If you take away anything from this review, I hope you take your business elsewhere. We purchased a brand new Gulfstream Ameri-Lite at the end of May 2021. We found the camper we wanted, took family photos in front of the camper and were asked to come back later in the evening to meet with the financial department. In the meantime, we placed a deposit and Travelcamp completed the paperwork on our behalf so that when we returned, the sale would be faster (the loan approval, insurance, etc. was all done without us being present but they called us throughout to keep us updated). We came back as instructed only wait over an hour to be seen (its now 8pm and we have 2 small children). We went and looked at the camper again, took more photos and signed the paperwork, leaving at 9pm. When we arrived for pick-up a week and a half later, the camper was NOT the camper that we took photos with and agreed to purchase but at this point the paperwork was already signed and the differences were minimal (the camper we wanted had a grey front and there were minor differences with the interior design) so we let it go and were still happy at that point with the one we took home.Travelcamp supposedly does a 144 point inspection but after getting the camper home we found several things wrong that needed to be fixed/replaced: the latch on the outdoor kitchen wasnt installed properly and the screw was stripped so anytime we opened the door the screw would slide out, the bathroom door had a crack in it that they tried to cover with colored silicone, the door to the bunk room was not installed properly on the track BUT the biggest issue is the LEAK we found in our back hatch. After some rain, the back compartment on the drivers side had standing water - enough to ring out a bath towel (took a video). We notified Travelcamp and they advised us to bring it back. During the FIRST visit they fixed the other items noted above and supposedly fixed the leak. We just picked it up for the THIRD time yesterday after being told it was fixed and within 2 hours of getting it home it rained for about 45 minutes and the compartment had standing water again (took another video). Our camper has spent more time at Travelcamp getting fixed than it has been camping. We are paying monthly payments on a defective camper, in addition to losing time and money due to having to take time off work to transport the camper back and forth so they can do a trial and error approach for repairs. There is now an obvious concern of mold as well. The lack of empathy from Travelcamp is astounding. We have been very patient throughout this process and communicated that all we want is a working camper - nothing more but all we are getting are empty promises and passed off to different people. We now feel like our only option is legal action and will be meeting with an attorney that specializes in the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act. This is a federal law that helps consumers who have tried to repair their product multiple times within the terms of their warranty. If the product persists as defective after multiple unsuccessful repairs (as in our case), the warranty is considered breached and the consumer is able to receive either a replacement or a full refund. Travelcamp doesnt want to acknowledge that the camper is defective and just replace it even though they know that is the right thing to do.We have a family member that purchased a camper from Campers Inn and upon pick-up found a leak; Campers Inn did the right thing and replaced the camper with an entirely new unit versus trying to fix the leak. THIS is who you should take your business to...I wish we would have.

Bo the sales Manager is the only reason I don’t leave 1 star. I left multiple messages for the parts department to call me back. I left messages for the service department to call me back. Never not once did they return my call. The delivery team was spot on. I was told their team would clean it. They did not. I was told they would completely reseal the camper. They did not. I am due a refund on services that were not rendered, and they guy in charge of that (Caleb) wouldn’t return my call either until Bo got involved. So I guess the moral of the story is Bo is the man. If you need it taken care of talk with him. The rest of the crew there is no help. The deal I got on the camper was fair. Just they dropped the ball on everything else.

We were looking for a bigger toy hauler than the one we had so my husband reached out to Tom Fletcher with Travelcamp in Jacksonville Florida. Tom found us a 2021 carbon toy hauler in another state. He had it in Jax within 2 days! We went to look at it and ended up buying it that day! Christine Delk was our finance gal who went above and beyond and gave us more than what we owed on our previous camper with a great interest rate! She was such a joy to do business with. Our service guy was Wesley Kennedy who was extremely efficient who wanted to make sure we were pleased with our unit. We purchased a hitch which needed a part to be ordered and Tabitha was the parts manager and was so helpful that she offered to have our unit delivered to us so that we wouldn’t have to drive back when the part arrived! Plus, gave us a $100 store credit just because! I was so taken back by their willingness to please us! I highly recommend these people to do business with You will not be disappointed!

TravelCamp of Jacksonville will tell you what you want to hear on the pre-sale/sale end of the deal. However communication will be nil to nonexistent post sale. Empty promises will leave you wondering where you stand and wishing you bought elsewhere.I am a long distance out of state buyer and had faith that they were well versed and prepared to handle out of state purchases, while they were able to get me approved for financing and they did get my unit delivered to my house... My new Travel Trailer is sitting in my yard with an expired temporary registration and is unusable. I was told everything would be handled with DMV and hard plates would come in the mail (hasnt happened) I was told by Chris Barberis that he would get a new temporary sent right out to me when I inquired out where my hard plates were (that hasnt happened). Questions sent to my salesperson Dave Love go unanswered, questions directed to Spencer Combs also leave me ignored.Their website claims that delivered units will arrive with a 50$ gift card for cleaning the unit up after its road trip (that didnt happen) TravelCamp claims they personally detail units before they leave (that certainly didnt happen) mine came littered with metal shaving from construction and saw dust in the bins and inside the trailer. My outside refrigerator was never secured with the storage strap that comes as original equipment so the fridge bounced all over for the 850 mile long delivery (that barked up the inside of my outdoor kitchen compartment) and now the fridge doesnt seem to cool properly. Travel camp claims they fill the propane tanks one tank was notable heavier than the other so I weighed them upon arrival (a full 20lbs propane tank weighs 37lbs) one tank was 35lbs so Ill give them the Benefit of the doubt and say that tank was filled the other tank was 30lbs so it was definitely not full (is this a big deal? No, but its dishonest and shady)This dealer wants to sell but doesnt handle the after sale well at all.Update: With in 12 hours of posting this review, TravelCamp has reached out to propose making this right. Ive received a phone call from a gentleman named Bo who seems confident and determined to get this situation squared away. I understand the RV industry is a fast paced and very busy industry at this time. Im not an unreasonable person and feel that this review is in fact temporary and will most likely be resolved going forward.Thank you Bo!Added a star just for the speedy response and willingness to turn the wrong in to a right.Update: With in 1 day of communication with Bo and Chris I have a fresh temporary registration in hand and my camper is back on the road. I have also been reimbursed some funds to pay for a detailing on the camper. Now I am currently just waiting on being contacted by the service department to find a solution to the trim in the outside compartment that got banged up from the fridge not being strapped correctly.I feel like we are definitely getting somewhere and I am feeling like a satisfied customer again πŸ‘

From the time we walked into the dealership, we had a good first impression. The receptionist was friendly and promptly assigned us a salesman. Our experience with the salesman, Paul Cox, was very pleasant. He was professional, cordial, and low-key in his approach. There was plenty of inventory. Paul showed us Class A, B, and C units and was very knowledgeable about each one and took his time to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend Travelcamp.

Amazing experience. Ray, our salesman, was completely awesome. He spent a lot of time with us and was very knowledgeable about RVs. Lenny in parts is just amazing. He is very knowledgeable about everything also and recommends what you need and explains everything very well with amazing humor. Joe, our technician, was also amazing (even though he scared me a little at first). He was very knowledgeable and told us newbies exactly how things work and whats the best way to work them. He makes things SO simple and easy. I didnt have to write anything down in my tablet either. It was that simple. Christine, F & I manager, is amazing as well. Ray and Christine worked very hard with the coordination to get it financed. I cant say enough great things about each of them. They are just amazing.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option!!!!We purchased from out of state, we made plans to pick up our new camper twice and they rescheduled, and attempted to reschedule again. We drove 7 hours with our trade in, greeted upon arrival. Started with the paper work and number game.Price reflected in paper work was incorrect. Approximately $10,000 difference.Point out the mistake, it gets changed. Still issues, again with the blame game, and β€œtheir mistake” mis-figured the taxes even…reprinted the contract, no exaggeration, 5 times.Still received incorrect pieces once it was all said and done.Best part, still not made aware they KNEW prior to our departure from out of state, that we would NOT be taking our new camper home with us because of warranty issues. We should have been told prior to the trip.No worries they say, we’ll deliver it to you. But of course we had to leave our trade in!Even better part…they delivered the WRONG unit ladies and gentlemen! You can’t make this stuff up! So, breach of contract on their part which we were told meant no deal right? Wrong! Finally get the correct unit, which I forgot to also mention my husband paid $5000 for β€œcustom paint” that then turned out to be un-available… in the color scheme promised. This place was an absolute nightmare.Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Ever. The only professional, courteous, and honest person we spoke to the entire visit was the mechanic/technician that did our walk through.

Update:Management reached out me to me and made great efforts to correct my experience. My interaction with them was positive and I believe they are sincere about making positive changes. Mistakes happen, but a good indicator of a successful business is how they correct mistakes.Thank you Caleb for your call and work to make it better.----------------------------------- Original Review ----------------------------------Glad to see so many positive reviews, wish my experience was the same.Searching remotely, I found a RV we were interested in. Made quick contact with a sales rep and after a few communications he just stopped replying. A couple of days later, received an email from a new sales rep that the previous sales rep was no longer with the company and he would be taking over. Great I thought... but that was the only communication I got from that person.I also received a for email from the owner Sam (Salem) and replied 3 times with my frustration with not getting replies... for which I never got a reply from the owner.I also called at least 2 times with out any returned called.I finally did get a separate salesman on the phone and he said the RV had been sold the week before and was scheduled for pickup that weekend. He promised to call/text/email me regardless of the out come of that transaction to let me know what happened. And, if you have kept up... I also did not get that reply.Really disappointed in this relationship.

I purchased a 2020 24FB RUSH, sunset toy hauler, And as I was pulling out discovered the tongue all bent up no one noticed but me, after going back and forth they finally fixed it so I could take my new camper off the lot about a month after my original purchase. Then in 2021 I took it out and discovered the bench was not secured to any support in the wall and the bathroom had a leak. I notified them three days before my warrant ran out and I left several messages so I could get it under the warranty, they never called back in time. When they finally did call after several messages I was a day over the warranty even though I didnt even have possession 30 days after original purchase, and they wouldnt cover it fine. I decided to take care of the bench myself they wanted 2000 to fix that, but the leak was 600 and I did have them take care of that, just to find out 5 month later when I was able to go out and get everything hooked up it leaked all over and was spraying behind the wall. Of course right. I even paid for the extended warranty but of course it doesnt cover leaks. And yes I always use reducer this is my 4th camper. I called the service department several time and finally got threw, they said they would have a service manager call me back and she said to make sure all the fittings are tight ok fine . After over a week I still have not received a phone call and I haft to tell you this sure brings up allot of bad memories from when I purchased this thing from them now just a little over year now. Even though they said the repair was warrantied for a year. Looks like I am out the money for this repair and I had to tear into the wall of my new camper to fix the leak myself. Looks like I will be in the market for a new camper and I will never buy another camper from travel camp of Jacksonville or have any service done there.

My husband had seen a class A motorhome here, and wanted me to see it, and to road test it himself. He was told it would be out front, and ready for us to do this when we returned a couple of days later, as the salesman had said that that was when he would again be available. After we arrived as agreed, the salesman pretty much ignored us for about 15 minutes, and he continued to behave as though I was of no consequence the whole time, which did not please me one bit!!The motorhome was wedged in at the back of the lot behind other RVs, when he finally found it, and the batteries were totally dead, so we could not check anything electrical. Up front and ready to drive? Sure! After they used a battery booster to start the engine, they moved the obstruction, and brought the vehicle towards the front of the lot. They had turned off the engine, and the batteries were once again unable to produce enough power to start the engine. They just left us standing outside the front entrance for a long time, wondering what was happening, while they once again brought out the battery booster so that it would start. We did finally get a chance to drive it.Frankly, I felt as though it was a KeystoneCops type operation, where nothing was coordinated, and we as customers were treated as though we were a nuisance!I gave them one star, but only because you cant give them zero!!

Sam Talbot was my sales rep and since I am a virgin RVs I had too many questions and he got the price right, helped us get great financing, and was really patient with my questions. On delivery day there were challenges because this place just moves that many RVs but Wes the service manager was on point. Once again answering all of our dumb questions and giving us the inservice we needed to be able to pull away safely. It was worth the drive and we are excited to add RVing to our Empty Nesting

Neil and Bo were easy to work with and straight forward. I never felt talked down to or just like another sale. Christine in finance was very friendly and quick with our paperwork. We feel like the price and treatment was certainly the best in town. We had some trouble as my husband was hooking up and 2 service guys and Bo came out to help us and make sure we got on the road safely.A few reasons I only gave 4 stars- Despite having a 3pm appointment for pickup, the rig was not ready until several hours after that leaving us waiting around. Understandable that things happen, but once the rig was finally ready - when I asked to plug it up to ensure everything was working properly we were made to feel like this was an inconvenience. We fired up the slides and big items off of the battery because I insisted at least that much. Now here we are on our first trip and our fridge isn’t cold enough and back ac isn’t blowing cold. Also, our unit was not cleaned at all. Our last purchase was from another dealership and while our sales experience wasn’t as positive, upon pickup our unit had been plugged in, everything powered up, all water ran, appliances turned on, everything very clean. I think if travelcamp could step this part up just a bit our experience would have been perfect!

THIS ONES FOR JERRY! Not only was he incredibly professional, he was a lot of fun to learn from and extremely helpful in offering answers to the many, many questions we had during our visit. Additionally, this man worked in the dead heat for literal hours getting our sway bar hitch completely level and perfected. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement. I signed into my Google work account just to leave a second 5 star review specifically for Jerry (in addition to my last 5 star review in regards to Jake, Spencer, and Christine.) I have been looking for a small camper for many months, and found Travelcamp has a treasure trove of quality, smaller car sized campers. For me, they offered unique solutions to the imbalance of RV monstrosities that are saturating other dealerships. Hugh and Paul at the beaches location were so knowledgeable, and showed me unlimited trailers. I finally found my dream teardrop trailer with Paul, after my second visit, and took the leap for ownership on the third visit. The thing that really sets Travelcamp apart from other RV dealerships that I have gone to, is their welcoming and down to earth atmosphere. I felt like I was being welcomed into a family. There was no pressure and they genuinely wanted me to find the right fit and right solution that fit my lifestyle and future adventure goals. They listened. We are first time RV buyers who did a lot of research and visited several RV dealers. By far Travelcamp Jacksonville was head and shoulders above other RV dealers with respect to customer service. Our salesman, Greg Watkins, while new to the RV sales world, was one of the most responsive salesman we have dealt with in 30 plus years of buying numerous cars and boats. Greg was β€œno pressure” professional. Responsive to our numerous questions and ready to negotiate the best deal possible. I also have to give cudos to the GM, Caleb Ross. He and Greg made a great team. We are excited about our purchase and can’t wait for its arrival. And it is refreshing that Caleb and Greg were motivated to win our business with outstanding responsive customer service. If you are looking for an RV during these interesting and challenging COVID times, go to Jacksonville Travelcamp and ask the receptionist for Greg Watkins. He will take care to make sure you get an outstanding RV at a great price.
