I have been coming to this place for over a year now. They have always been very professional, and truly care about customer service. Any problems or questions I have are answered with their knowledge, and fixed or performed to the best of their ability. There price is very fair, and the installation people are top notch. If you want a good sound system in your car, this is the best place in eastern NC to get it done. These guys are great!!!

I stopped by the shop yesterday to purchase some stuff for an install I planned on doing, I have a very elementary understanding of car audio and was attempting to tackle a job that to me was very advanced. One of the installers spent a good 30-45 minutes recommending parts and even drew out a schematic to help me understand. Today the install is complete and I couldnt be happier with the sound or professionalism of the crew over at Onslow Audio.

Excellent professional service, stopped by to have subs installed in my truck. The installation was done in a timely manner, and they know how make it a nice clean look. They even put extra time into adding the bass knob in a way to where it looks like it was installed in the truck from the factory.

Spent $300 for an ugly, wavy cut on my dash bezel, and HOT GLUE holding in my new head unit. Im not coming back, even for their warranty.(2006 Durango, Western boulevard location) owners comment below is also inaccurate. He can call me if he has an issue with my comment

Staff easy to work with, I’ve been there a few times and trust their work. I usually have a good bit of questions and leave with them answered and audio that meets my needs. No pressure, and will sell you based on your desired result instead of up selling.

Short story: If your looking for quality work, or a company that backs their work, look elsewhere.Long story: I took my car here to have the door speakers replaced, as well as re-wired. Went with JL audio door speakers and ended up paying a premium for their “professional installation”. Fast forward just a week later and one of the door speakers already stopped working.Between work and living nearly an hour away, I wasn’t able to make it up just to Jacksonville for a few months. I finally get in there, explain the situation, and they proceed to tell me it’s a week out of warranty and I’d have to pay the $50 just for them to take a look.If this were my company, I would be embarrassed at the lack of customer service, the quality of work, and the professionalism from my employees.I recommend looking elsewhere for any car audio needs.

If you are in the market for a quality sound system or just looking to upgrade your existing factory sounds, do yourself a favor and visit these guys. I have had a system installed at a local shop I will not name, but the experience, attention to detail, quality of work and best of all professionalism is why I will only have future work done at Onslow Audio. The Worst business deal I have experienced!Integrity is in low supply at Onslow Audio.I went in last Friday and talk with a sales rep about replacing my stereo and speakers he showed me a model and a set of speakers that look good he told me the total cost with install and I agreed to do it. They were able to get me in right then and said it would be about a two hour wait.I waited in their lobby waiting room for the two hours he came back in to let me know it was complete, we went outside to the car and went over the all the features of the new stereo at this point everything seemed to be good but once the sales rep left the car and I was ready to leave I noticed the steering wheel function to turn the volume up and down didnt work so I went back in and explain this to him and his reply was thats an additional feature and would require another module and would require programming and this would cost more, then he said I thought I told you that?I explain that was never discussed and why would I want to have less functionality than I had before? His reply again was sorry I thought I mentioned that. I left very disappointed and out of time.I then decided to come back in on Monday to address it again this time I spoke with another manager that said there would be a new install fee, the original sales guy walked up joined the conversation and concurred with what I was saying but the manager insisted that I would still have to pay the install fee. The Discussion got a little heated and escalated to the point they called the owner David to come over.I explain the whole story to the owner David, he seemed hesitant at first but said he could understand the misunderstanding and decided to go ahead and schedule the appointment to install the module with no labor fee as long as I was willing to pay for the part which I agreed to, we scheduled the appointment and then I Left the store.20 minutes later I received a phone call from the owner David which he stated they would NOT be able to do the install because he spoke with his employees and they told him that both the sale manager and the installer came into the waiting room on Friday and told me about the additional requirement at which point I told both of them I didnt want it done???I told the owner David that conversation never took place no one came into the waiting room except to tell me my car was finish, David the owner then accuse me of lying and said that he believed his employees over me and then he tried to tell me that I must have forgot the Conversations where I supposedly told both of his employees no thanks I dont want the steering wheel functions Because of course I wanted to pay all this money to have less functionality.So after I hung up on David after he accused me of amnesia and or lying,I went to Best Buy to find out they have the exact same stereo, speakers and module for steering wheel, plus they do FREE INSTALLATION with purchases over a hundred dollars !!!So I pretty much paid double the price at Onslow Audio and they didnt even completed the job to give me a fully Functioning stereo system.Oh and by the way Best Buys stereo and modular were both cheaper, the speakers were about the same price but the biggest thing was the free install at Best Buy.So dont waste your money and time with Onslow Audio.David you might want to review your security camera that you say is recording all the time and go back and look at Friday and see how many people walked into the waiting room between 230 and 430 you’ll find that nobody did except at the very end to tell me my car was finished.I sit in the waiting room for two hours with my dog so I think I would remember two different people walking in and presenting me with that option.Sad excuse for you not just wanting to admit that your sales guy made a mistake and didn’t mention that upfront.

Awesome group of dudes at this shop who are very knowledgeable, patient, and know customer service to a T! Brought my excursion I just bought in to have the factory DVD player re-wired and these guys went above and beyond and cleaned up a nasty “Jerry-rigged” job. Thank you gentlemen for the work you did, and I would def recommend to anyone if you want honest and good quality work, and human beings stop in and give them the opportunity to take care of your audio needs!Dylan

Professional team and great prices. Ultimately, I identify how good a team is by how they handle mistakes. The mic was installed in the wrong location and they immediately fixed it. Consumate professionals, cant say enough about their service and knowledge.

Great service and they put you with what you want with the best price. They dont try to oversell you with high pressure. They keep you in your means and have a lot of product knowledge. Definitely would recommend on service alone. Friendly atmosphere and can get you installed very quickly.

They broke the connector on my battery which fried my alternator as well. An $80 repair to my stereo ended up costing me over $300. They claim they never touched my battery to remove my stereo, as well. The aux plug they repaired is still not working properly. Extremely disappointed and angry they lied to me.

These guys are absolute audio geniuses! Theyre fair and informative. Theyre clear about options, honest, and upfront. I cant compare them to other audio establishments but I have no need. I will only ever visit Onslow Audio for my music requirements and I cant recommend them enough!

These guys are Professionals! I had a Custom Install and Im impressed.

Slightly more expensive than other stores but trust me as I’m sitting here getting my problems from street sounds fixed, the price is worth it! They use real copper in their installation kits (so that you won’t have your wires melt and spend more money later) 10/10 recommend. Great staff

All the employees are knowledgeable of their products and put the warranty behind their work. They were very professional and easy to work with. Onslow Audio is the only DD (digital designs) dealer around Wilmington that takes pride in their products. They are very knowledgeable and professional. Went in Saturday Aug 19 with a new truck and wanted a complete setup from In dash unit to sub/amplifier. Talked to the owners son and his technician and in 4 hours and under the price point we discussed I got an amazing sound system. Then to go a step further they sat there with me (after they closed) and tweaked the settings for best audio and helped me sync my phone and set everything up the way i wanted it. Amazing audio place fair prices highly recommend!

The work done here is professional, theres nothing more to it. I went in and said my price point, within 30 minutes we had picked out a complete system from head unit and door speakers to amp and woofer. The price was less than discussed at $1450 when my budget was $1500. Then 2 days later i came in and changed my budget to a little more and they helped me upgrade my selection and get me right on my new budget. They had to order a new piece for my dash because mine is a bulky POS. That came in next day and I had it installed the day after that. They let me come in 2 hours before my scheduled time and they started working immediately. The man I had worked with to pick everything out stayed late for me to get there after they were closed. And then he helped me tune it to my liking and explained to me everything that I didnt understand so I could adjust on my own. I could not be happier about the service I got here. Professional people doing professional work. A+ work.

This very successful business is run by father, two sons, and several employees. Before bringing my truck to Onslow Audio I made three phone calls during which I was treated patiently, with respect, and with freely shared good advice. I made an appointment and then was allowed to move it up several days when my schedule made it possible. Installation of an aftermarket CD Receiver in my F250 was expertly accomplished in about 25 minutes. This included installation of a microphone in the edge of my headliner and routing a USB cable into my glove compartment. Installation was perfect, with no marks on any of the fascia in my dash. The technician performed initial setup for me, including setting time and date. Im already a loyal customer and have referred two customers.

I had no issues. If anything they know there stuff, first of all have and provide quality products that you have to drive hours for or shop online for. They actually have the equipment to do right installs, 4 years of experience with high end sound equipment, very resonable prices and they stick to their word. Job was done right and it was not overpriced, compared to neighboring shops... Id completely avoid them and would come here any day of the week for any problem. Honest oppinion, Im glad I found a shop that understands me. When it comes to sound quality.

I got a head unit for Christmas. I called them on a Saturday night and asked them to fit me in before a road trip. They had the parts in stock, got me installed and on my way in less than an hour. And they got me out the door for less than they quoted me.

Been going to Onslow audio since I was 17 Im 27 now everything has been great to the subwoofers amps and 6x9s just had one disappointment bought a new subwoofer a dd and I wasnt really happy with it wasnt as loud as I was told it would be ended up giving it to my brother but I will be there soon again for something that meets my standards still a customer an always will be

I bought a Rydeen Rearview Mirror with Monitor Camera Combo Kit from Onslow Audio and they installed it for me. It has been a great experience all the way around. They explained all the options and I felt good about the product I chose. The installation was clean and the camera works great. Glad I got the one with night vision. No more uncertainty or doubts about backing into or out of public parking spaces or any tight spot for that matter. A benefit I hadnt even thought of was backing the van up to hitch up the boat trailer -- the camera is spot on to the trailer hitch ball and trailer tongue matchup.

ITS CHEAPER THAN GENES IN HAVELOCK. Not sure about if the products are better or not, thats not why Im writing the review. I was quoted 75/hr by Genes for an uninstall process for my subs and amplifier. I slow quoted me 40$ flat for uninstall, not 40/hr, 40$ flat. Thats whats up.

$325, Amp and 4 Channel Speaker Installation. Scratched rear window tint, didnt return stock speakers, removed bolts from rear seat (not returned), rear speakers were not properly seated, didnt even turn on, and rear shelf wasnt properly snapped down. Front speakers rattle. Many issues that professionals should not have. Price too high for a crappy installation. If you want something done right...
