I found this place while in Jacksonville and I been going there every since. The guy Keith helped me out and showed me there own special blend the vanilla ones and the rum I been buying the big and small of the rum kind and the small of the vanilla ones. They have alot to choose from but those are the ones im stuck on. I recommend that you go and try them out. And they also ship to you. Ill continue to go there whenever Im dropping my trailer here

Im late with this review... Sorry.We were on our way from Texas to South Carolina by way of Florida. We wanted cigars. My son found Holy Smokes on his phone and we made a dash for the shop. We thought we would be in and out but we ended up talking with the owner for about an hour or so. Good selection and a relaxed atmosphere. We wish we had been able to stay and smoke there but we had to get back on the road. If we ever get back to Jacksonville we will make it a point to stop.This was back in June of 2019. Told you I was late...

Prices to high need more variety of cheaper cigars

Definitely the best cigar shop in town. They have a great selection of botique brands, plus a generous selection of the finest big names on the market. I found their prices to be comparable to ABC and Total Wine, but with a much better selection. The folks in there are always friendly and helpful.

Holy Smokes is simply a great place to go. No matter when you go. If its the busiest day or the slowest youre welcomed and greated with hospitality. Mo is excellent at what he does and knows his cigars. No matter how seasoned you are with your cigars Mo always has a good way of finding you something different and which you will enjoy. This is maybe the only place in town to come and LEARN about the art and enjoyment of cigar smoking.If you are an experienced cigar smoker, you will find dozens of cigars here that you won’t find anywhere else locally. Mo stocks the well-known brands but he also has the biggest selection of boutique cigars in town. When he tells you cigar has “citrus notes” or reminds you of “a glass of cold iced tea” you will realize you’re dealing with a tobacconist that could write for your favorite cigar magazine.No snobbery in this place. Just a friendly tobacconist with the heart of a teacher who loves to help you find the perfect smokes for you! Moe was very helpful in helping me select my very first pipe and even gave me a nice tutorial on how to clean the pipe and pack a bowl with several good tips on smoking. They have a gigantic selection of cigars. Def made a repeat customer out of me.

Great staff and a very nice customer base no matter if youre new to cigars or a long time enthusiast you will right at home. Myself being new to the hobby I always felt that I could ask any questions about the quality and flavor and I was always taken care of. After visiting other cigar lounges and shops like island girl I would definitely say that this is the best shop in Jacksonville both in terms of stock and friendliness.

So glad I stopped in. Youll find a great selection of brands you recognize, and a whole wall of VERY excellent boutique cigars. Mo was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and knows how to hook you up with a cigar in your price range that you will enjoy. I had a medium/full bodied cigar from the boutique wall that was simply amazing and extremely affordable. I went to a major cigar shop here in town RIGHT before heading to Mos place and it was easily 20 minutes in the humidor before anyone even said hello. Not so at Holy Smokes. Great time, great place. If youre lucky, Mo might sit down with his guitar and blow your mind with incredible original music. Dont bother with the other shops. Will be back with friends soon.

Excellent place to buy /have a cigar and relax, down home feeling when you walk in the door, nothing snobbish about this place. My go to place when Im in Jacksonville. Good selection, fair prices, outstanding service, no pushing sales person. Come on in visit with Mo and Stogie.. sit a spell and light one up let your stress just fade away.

I was able to get away from my conference for a few hours and visit Holy Smokes. The owner was really nice, knowledgeable, and welcoming; he took the time to introduce me to all the regulars and talk to be about some of the cigars he carried. The store is well stocked with the usually brands, but he stocks a wide assortment of boutique labels. I thought the prices were good and in addition to my usuals smokes I picked up a few new blends on his recommendation. Relaxed vibe, comfortable smoking area, and great shop dogs; highly recommended!

Was referred to Holy Smokes by a friend and I couldnt be happier. Have been smoking cigars for a number of years and recently decided to switch to pipes for a change of pace. Was met by Mo as soon as I entered and he gave me the lay of the land tour as he called it. Very impressive layout and super relaxed atmosphere. Mo is very knowledgeable and took his time with me as I smelled various blends. I even opted to purchase my first Meerschaum while I was there. I highly recommend Holy Smokes and definitely will be a frequent customer!

Go here and buy great cigars from Mo, an honest knowledgeable aficionado, at reasonable prices. Mo helped me select a number of unique well priced cigars for a group golf trip coming up. If you like to support small local businesses and deal directly with the owner this is where you should buy your cigars.

I just spent about 8 hours at this shop.They carry all the big brands but also have a huge selection of boutique cigars. Check out this place if you are looking for cigars that are hard to find! Next to the usual vitolas, you will find a few shorter and skinnier sticks such as lanceros and coronas. They have something for everyone, casual smokers and geeks.The staff is just amazing! I was recently introduced to Holy Smokes Cigar and Pipe Shop in the San Marco area of Jacksonville by a BNI friend and fellow Cigar smoker Boris Galustov. I felt welcome and right at home from the minute I walked in. Mo Leverett, the owner gave me a tour of the variety of cigars along with a little history of the blend, country of tobacco origin and other interesting notes. I chose some sticks and began the lighting ceremony. I am impressed by the diverse variety of cigars offered and reasonable pricing.
