Very good place for people in need they have clothing furniture and more. The ladies are very helpful and kind.

My mother, sister, and I were driving through the city of Jacksonville and saw what we thought was an outdoor sale so we stopped at this now very memorable place. When we walked up the 2 ladies were busy talking to another lady and ignored our presence. There were 4 or 5 high school aged girls and one guy being standoff ish, they didnt speak to us. We had mistakingly assumed this was a sale and my mother found a few articles of clothing. I asked one of the high school volunteers for the price she asked another girl and said free but that was it. We got to the table where there are just the two older ladies working now and they asked if we filled out a form. We said no nobody said anything when we walked up we didnt know. They tell us to fill out the form so I begin to fill out the form. One of the ladies then explains that the articles chosen were not coats. Then finally they explain that the coats are for students, we realized this was not a sale. I fold up the piece of paper, that we didnt know and that are no longer getting anything. We head to the car and the lady starts hollering we need the paper! Bring back the paper! We tell her we are not getting anything and we dont need to leave the paper since we arent getting anything. She says they have to have the paper to turn it in. Perhaps there intention was to turn in this paper fraudulently as well one lady said then after these donations we can brag about it and be in the paper. We did not feel comfortable leaving our personal information. My mom says she didnt realize were for students and that it was too much of a problem (in spanish) so the lady decides to mock my mom and say yes it is a problema. It is our prerogative and there was nothing posted as far as law stating we needed to leave the paper. They continued they HAD to HAVE the paper because they were keeping track of the numbers on them. So my little sister tore the number off of the paper that had my moms personal info and gave it to them so they could know which number was used and told them they can just print a new paper and use it as substitute and mark the number of the paper we took. Therefore no other issues would occur as far their paperwork. We tried to explain with a barrier in communication and there was no need to mock us. And we left.This was highly unprofessional, we were treated with disrespect, unprofessional and they even mocked us. This location may be a good benefit in helping people although they should be better equipped in handling situations as this one. As well as explaining BEFOREHAND their mission and purpose.If you are an organization to help others you should help them whether there is miscommunication or not. We are all in this world together and we should help communicate with others on all levels vs mocking their differences.
