Social House is one of my wife and I’d favorite spots in Jacksonville. AB and his wife are the owners and they are extremely friendly and are all about customer service. The menu selection is great. They have unique coffees, awesome breakfast items, and more. The shop has a chill vibe and it’s always a pleasant experience. Usually we stop by before church on Sunday mornings. Anytime we are in the area, we have to swing by for some coffee.

Stopped by Saturday morning to grab my Elite perk, a large drip dark roast coffee and a chocolate croissant. The coffee was good, tasted fresh ground and fresh brewed. The croissant was very good - light, flaky and just the right amount of buttery sweetness. It paired well with my dark roast coffee. I didnt receive my Yelp item but its okay, the vibe and service made up for it. The two employees working were great. I ended up adding B.O.A. and the Big Rich to our order and, yea, those were delicious! Definitely will be stopping by again to get those.The coffee shop has a chill vibe and everyone there was very friendly.Im glad I got to check out a cool local spot. Ill be back.***Only 4-star due to not enforcing social distancing inside.

Great coffee. Great pastries. Went in on a Thursday morning before work for drinks for my crew. I was greeted as soon as I walked in which was very welcoming. Ordered 2 coffees, tea and a latte. Everyone loved their drink’s got muffins and few pastries which were all very tasty and fresh. Definitely a great choice and will be back regularly. Keep up the great service and fresh products

I just happened by a week or so ago and have been back almost daily since. They have an incredible variety of beverages and they do them all well. They also have some of the most incredible sandwiches (try the B.O.A. - guaranteed to please). They also have scones. Whens the last time youve had a scone? Its been years for me.Great atmosphere, great staff, great eats, and great drink. What more can you ask for?Theyll have to kick me out.

This place is aesthetically pleasing and serves real and authentic coffee, which I love. When we came in, the barista was super friendly and even recommended a drink for me since I had never been there before. We got a chocolate croissant which was both delicious and warm.We then ordered a BOA sandwich which was amazing! The egg cost an extra dollar, we added some parm cheese, and the spicy sauce which paired perfectly. The BOA was crispy, savory, and seasoned to perfection. If anything, I would definitely come back to try more of their breakfast sandwiches known as little bites.I asked the barista what she recommended for something sweet and she said the brewski which is their cold brew and the in-house vanilla cream foam that they make paired with the Hawaiian roasted coffee. It was equally amazing and refreshing. Tasted authentic and I added some Splenda to make it sweet. The brewski is not too strong but I think I love the contrasting flavors of the coffee and cold foam. I would love to come back soon. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff was very kind!

Our favorite local coffee shop. I’ve gotten different coffees, teas, and lattes and they have all been delicious. I can’t pick a usual drink because it’s all good. My husband always gets the gladiator and loves it. Best tasting coffee around. We really like that they rotate some of their coffee flavors so there is always something new to try.

Amazing coffee and delicious sandwiches.. The BOA with the candied truffle bacon was phenomenal!

My husband and I stopped by this morning and got a hot latte, a cold latte, a blueberry muffin and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was amazing. We will definitely be coming back!!

This place is incredible! Every single staff member is always SO kind. Its the type of place where you walk in and instantly your energy is just lifted and brightened! I love small coffee shops and especially Dirty Chai. Its rare to find a place that has consistently good espresso AND a good Chai base but they have two! And lots of options to spice (or sweeten) it up. This is also the type of place where if you ask for a suggestion and provide some details on what flavors you like, youll get a drink that you would have never ordered on your own but will blow your mind.

I went here for the first time today and everything about it was amazing. The latte was one of the best Ive ever had. The egg sandwich took a little while to prepare, and was worth every moment. Utterly delicious. The staff and owner were friendly and charismatic. I will definitely come back often!

The cortado was good, had a saucer and demitasse spoon, scone was a scone which is rare in my exp. here in north Florida. Atmosphere was good

I just had the drip but it was very very good, yes that was two verys!! The rest looked and smelled good as well. I didn’t eat anything this time but the BOA sandwich looked incredible and it was suggested that an egg added makes its truly special. On top of that the service was out of this world great. Might just have to become a regular stop.

Where local finds its home. The coffee is great, highly recommend the Gladiator. The crew are always nice and the owners are truly your neighbors. Social House coffee embodies the neighborhood coffee shop and I look forward to my weekend coffee each time. Please stop by, grab a coffee and be social.

Im pretty sure this is the best coffee in Jax. I love love love this shop. Lots of latte flavors but you dont even need them because the coffee itself actually tastes like good coffee! The pastries arent always amazing. Small seating area but its super comfortable and lovely and full of light, and the outdoor tables are also nice.Edited to say: my friend and I tried the bagels and they were very good!!

Very cute setup. Modern and spare design/seating. Minimal noshing menu (pastries and bespoke sandwiches). Very much a cool kids vibe.

Coffee was 11/10, the bagel was 12/10 other than a little wait (110 % worth it)... Only downfall is the relatively limited seating. There are seats, just wouldnt want to be in there during rush hour trying to read a book. I will definitely hit it up again soon.

We love our local coffee shop- friendly service plus delicious coffee makes everyone happy and theyre patient with children as well. Were so happy this place is in our neighborhood.

My chai latte was okay. Not a lot of spicy chai flavoring-maybe not enough mix was used, but it was still drinkable. Ill try asking for it to be made strong next time.

Love this cute coffee cafe owned by former Jacksonville Jaguar Arrelious Benn. My wife and I had their Cafe Breve, Gladiator, and a croissant. The cafe breve was creamy good. I’m not into sweet stuff so I substituted the cream in Gladiator for unsweetened almond milk. My brother told me that the Gladiator wasn’t sweet at all so I should have just kept the house cream. Next time I will. We both enjoyed the croissant. Wished it was toasted though.

Comfy meet up spot near my home. (Social distancing/masks observed). The lavender latte is delicious.Im not into the Jaguars, but if you are you might run into a former player/coffee house owner on a Sunday (wink, wink).

It was good even for someone that doesnt drink coffee. I went with a friend that is an avid coffee drinker. They were able to suggest a decaf latte for me and it was delicious.

Visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. The owner was there and was very accommodating to my hubby who is a huge Jaguars fan. I can’t say the same for the lady who took our orders. She was not very helpful nor pleasant to us. Oh well...We ordered Cafe Breve, Gladiator and butter Croissant. All were very good, I just wish the croissant was served warm, but I don’t see any microwave on their counters so we ate it cold. Still tasted great though.

Social house is my favorite coffee in Jax, it’s one of those places you want to tell everyone about but don’t want to because the sweetness, kindness, and quaintness of it makes it even more special. All of the workers are absolutely wonderful people and treat you like a friend along with providing such great tasting coffee and pastries. I go nearly 5 days a week for my regular every am. If you haven’t checked it out, do it ASAP!

Social House Coffee is a hidden gem go-to coffee shop located around the Riverside-Avondale area. As a current graduate student that has experienced several coffee shops around the area, this is the coffee shop to socialize and get work done without many distractions or background noise on-going. Arrelious & Mariel Benn (owners) and staff have focused on the quality of the experience towards the customer. From my first experience today, they have terrific coffee and tea. I was able to meet Mr. Benn and Krystale, and my interactions with them were terrific. I am excited to become their new regular, indulging in their menu with various foods and drinks to start off my mornings. I highly applaud Mr. and Mrs. Benn taking ownership in this coffee shop, who are not just the faces of this hidden gem, but they actively take part in preparing the drinks and food that is served. As owners, they are active in their purpose of serving the community through coffee, social interactions, and more. It is a traditional coffee shop with a high quality menu and a high quality staff. As a low-key coffee shop, I wont be surprised the growth SoHo Coffee will achieve in the future.

The coffee was amazing!! I got the breakfast brew and it was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. My dad tried the cold brew and we are coming back tomorrow to get that because he said it was so good! The service was unbelievably amazing! The people are so nice and helpful. We will be making it a regular!

Staff was service oriented, building is clean and very beautiful. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood and I hope they survive opening during the pandemic. That being said, the quality of the coffee was lacking. Hopefully this will be helpful criticism. I plan to go back and try them again.

I like to support local businesses, and watched the renovation of this space with anticipation after learning it would be a coffee shop, since it’s within walking distance of where I live in Avondale. Today was my first visit, and I went around mid-morning (about 9:30) on a Wednesday, for reference.Pro’s:- Brightly lit, modern, welcoming interior.- Friendly staff that greet you right away.- Reasonable prices.- A few chairs on the sidewalk outside for those who prefer a bit of fresh air while they sip their coffee.Con’s:- Not a single person (staff or customers) wearing a face mask, and no hand sanitizer at the counter. This may not be a big issue to some, but for people who might share my concerns, I wanted to provide a heads up. While I was there, it also get crowded enough inside that social distancing wasn’t possible (it is a small, cozy space).- I ordered the darkest, boldest coffee available (according to their description), and found it to be medium-bodied. A nice coffee, just didn’t quite match expectations.- While I appreciated the offer to warm up the scone, by the time they noticed me and asked what I was waiting for, it was cold again. The cranberry-orange scone itself was tasty and had a nice texture, although the cranberries were somehow overdone and hard as a rock.It is unlikely that I’ll be back, having had great experiences at local coffee shops in nearby Murray Hill and Five Points, but I do wish this place well, as there’s a lot of potential here.

Incredibly nice people and the coffee was amazing! I tried the creme brûlée nitro cold brew and it’s a unique and extremely pleasing flavor on a hot day. Definitely coming back to try the scones and other flavors of coffee that they have to offer.
