Got the Greek pita which was good but the meat was weird slices. Good overall vibe though. Walk up to the counter, allergy friendly snacks, coffee. Would be good to work or study from.

Very nice place and the staff was very friendly. The drip coffee had great flavor but it was only warm. Not sure if that is the style of their coffee but is was just warm. The others in our group got death by chocolate and said is was delicious. Would and will go back again but will speak up about the temperature of the coffee.

Really nice open space for coffee and quite a selection of baked goods. High ceilings give it a really great atmosphere. Several spaces to sit and enjoy without crowding plus a cute little outdoor seating area by the entrance. Coffee and tea selections are plentiful to find your favorite. Great spot in Riverside/Avondale area to stop at during a gander up and down riverside ave. Also fun and vibrant area in the evening and during occasional special community events.

Love this location! Great job to the designer(s)!!! As the design ascetic is what my dreams are made of! Tall ceilings, comfy booth seating, great colors, art and lighting.There are a lot of seating options wether you’re solo or in a small group you have comfy couch/chair options or table/counter options.The menu is large and yummy! With great variety in terms of snacks, meals or dessert. Also a great drink menu with coffee, wine and beer selections.

This place is the vibe Jacksonville needed. Excellent coffee. Super friendly staff and extremely helpful. They make you feel as if customer service is a lost art. Highly recommend this place if youre looking for a good vibe, good coffee, or good food.

Love the energy in the place. Really amazing deserts and friendly staff. Great place for meetings, interviews, work projects, dates, literally anything. It has become one of my favorite places to go in avondale. It makes you feel so cool to walk into this place and order some tasty food and drink. They are so quick at getting your order ready and so helpful for first-timers.

This SG&C is the best of their sites in Jax if youre looking for a quiet place to relax and have coffee and food. Very nice building with different sitting areas to fit your needs. Couches, tables, benches, outdoors, etc. Coffee has been great so far. Staff is very nice. Service has been fairly quick. We go on Saturday mornings and havent had to wait very long. Great food choices also. Havent tried the deserts, but they look delicious. I have heard others commenting good things while I line. We drive from Mandarin to have our coffee here.

Good cappuccino in 4 sizes. Great new atmosphere with many different seating areas. Good breakfast bagels too. Parking gets scarce at peak times. I highly recommend.

Kind of cool, small expensive coffee in a takeout paper cup. Prominent tip cup, what else can I say, my first experience was underwhelming. Nice atmosphere in the seating area.

Definitely overpriced, but the food is pretty good my salad was $20 and the portions weren’t all that good. For this place to be better maybe a little cheaper and larger portions

The Korean Steak Bowl is one of my Favs! Everything was perfectly seasoned and 💜 the cilantro, sesame seed and/or ginger flavors on the slaw! Kudos to the chef! 👍🏾

Great place to study, and great food. The pancakes are massive. Avocado toast and grilled chicken salad with the Avocado dressing are superb.

Best coffee shop I frequent weekly for my WFH needs. The food and drinks are tasty and the seats are comfortable and plenty. I also love their secured wifi access, not many coffee shops do this.

My GF loved this place. Looking forward to going back and trying something new in the menu.

Love the chai tea latte hot on their mugs. Carton cup doesnt keep the consistency as well and doesnt do it justice. This place can be pricey but I always leave happy. Food is good and the ambiance is good. You can also drink here. Bottomless mimosas on the weekends for brunch is where is at. Southern Grounds is my favorite coffee shop in JAX especially this location and the one in San Marco.

I came here on the last day of vacation for lunch with family and had the Korean steak bowl. The steak was cooked perfectly, the veg & rice were beyond tasty, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back!

Our favorite coffee shop by far. It’s a nice place to get some work done for a change of scenery and the only thing better than the coffee is the food. It can be pricey for lunch but so good!

This is a nice place and food is very good. But not my cup of tea! I dont like ordering off a board on the wall while people behind me want me to hurry up all the while paying full service prices when it is not. This what I would expect at a fast food joint. If want another drink or any other needs you have to go back in line. Lunch with two beverages was $64.00

This might be the most fancy coffee shop in Jacksonville. Ordered the chai latte with coconut milk and its delicious. Puts Starbucks to shame.

The lemon bar I ordered was not good like I expected it to be. Loved the grilled chicken sandwich tho

Quaint cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Local art on the walls. Makes excellent drinks and delicious desserts and pastries.

Pretty cool spot... The workerswhere really sweet. The coffee was pretty good and reasonably priced in contrast to Starbucks.

Stopped in for dessert. Flourless chocolate cake was outstanding - the best of three desserts we tried.

I love this place. It has a great atmosphere and great food. My kids and I enjoyed brunch here. There was a kid-friendly menu with healthy options, as well as a great wine and beer menu. We’ll surely return.

I love this place so much now! Usually order an oat cappuccino and eggs benedict/omelet/pancakes with jam&butter or a Brie toast. Everything is delicious 😋 if you’re an experienced coffee person then I’d recommend you to skip this place and go to a professional coffee shop, this place is all about food which is great!

Excellent place to grab a drink with a friend, study, work, etc. Its huge and roomy, so social distancing is easy. The staff is courteous and kind.If youre looking for a particularly quiet time to visit, between 3 & 6 was just right. Aaaand you can enjoy happy hour! The Night Rush Imperial Coffee Stout coupled with a cup of French Pressed coffee is MmmmMmmmMmmm!

First of all...how did I not know this place existed before yesterday?! I have certainly been missing out! One of my co workers frequents Southern Grounds as it is her favorite coffee place and it is now my favorite here in Jax as well. This location is super spacious, very comfortable atmosphere, great staff, and minimal wait time for coffee to go. Their sweet treats (from muffins to cake) looked fantastic and their chai latte is, hands down, the best. I ordered a dirty chai latte and it was amazing. I will certainly be back! You wont regret visiting Southern Grounds. Enjoy!

Can i give more than 5☆? Best caramel macchiato EVER. So smooth and creamy with a bold espresso taste. Ill be coming back definitely! The service was also impeccable - friendly, helpful, energetic and the barista even made a perfect pupiccino for my dog! Great atmosphere too - with its wide open spaces, expansive high ceilings, clean crisp colors and interior design - just take a seats, unclutter your mind and pull out that laptop for a major focus session. LOVE IT. Really recommend a stop by!!

Such a great wide open sunlit space to enjoy mingling with your friends in family. Everything is freshly made to order. Enjoy a wonderful walk afterwards through the Avondale streets.

The food is very good and they have outside seating. You have to stand in line to order, which at the beach can be long and cumbersome, with one ordertaker only.
