Ive been coming to see Dr. Hanna off and on since I was a child. Hes always been a doctor thats for the patient and explains things in a way thats easy to understand. Hes conservative in treatment and is thorough when diagnosing. His staff is always courteous and kind. They explain your benefits and give you all the options and not just try to upsell you constantly.
Acted like they didnt have the time to talk or the desire for a new patient. Very off putting to have a karen answering the phone.
If you have a Medicare or Florida sunshine they give you a year later appointment, poor customer service, but of course it seems if you have cash or good insurance you can be seen faster.
I have received such amazing customer service from everybody here. I just purchased a pair of Prada sunglasses with the prescription lenses that I need through Hanna eye care, and I was highly satisfied!!! (I want to note, that the decision to purchase my glasses here and not through someone else, seeing as the Prada’s I purchased look pretty similar to another pair of Prada’s I already have, was made by the fact that I got such good customer service here.) It was a pleasure doing business with Priscilla, especially, she was very patient, understanding, and knowledgeable, and I appreciate it so much!! I’ve had some REALLY bad customer service experiences in my life, and on top of working many years in the customer service industry in one way or another, I understand the importance of good service. Dr. Hanna - you have a wonderful practice here, and though I didn’t get my prescription through you - I wish I had! I can’t say anything for the optometrists, though I’m sure they’re all lovely to work with, but what a great experience I had. I live on the other side of town, and not only was Priscilla (so sorry if I misspell that!) very courteous and knowledgeable, but she made accommodations for me that I didn’t think would be made. Thank you guys so much for all your help, I will definitely be returning for my future sunglasses needs, as well as referring people to y’all! (I’ve already told a couple people how much I enjoyed my experience there, I highly believe there’s no better compliment than a referral - thank you guys again sooo much!!!!) Much love and stay safe!
My children and I have been going to Dr Hanna for years .. his staff is so amazing, friendly, helpful and caring. Dr Hanna is the most delightful, caring doctor I’ve ever had !! I recommend him in every way
Simply put the best anywhere. Ive needed corrective lenses since I was 6 years old and had been to many different places. One visit here at age 16 and this became the only place I will go. Over the years my grandma, father and sister have made the change and love Dr.Hanna and his staff and wouldnt go anywhere else.
Always good and very friendly my eye dr. Is the best .K Kier
Dr. Hanna and his staff are the absolute best. I have been a patient of Dr. Hanna for close to Thirty years now and he has taken excellent care of my eyes. Dr. Hanna and his staff are very professional and his office runs like clockwork. His office is very modern and spotless. He offers a variety of eyeglass frames at many different price points. Most vision insurances are also accepted.
Best eye care physician bar none. Truly interested in every individual patient that comes in the door. Outstanding team of professionals. And a special shout out to Mr Greg who always makes the whole event effortless...
Absolutely horrible experience!! The people in this place, especially a heavy weighted man named Greg is nothing but rude. The employees will talk you into a pair of glasses you do not want and even go as far as saying the glasses you have had for only a week is now discontinued. If you have to go here for whatever reason I would avoid the man named Greg by any means!
I had a strict timeline for my yearly exam, with no appointments available I was unsure what to do. When I explained my situation, I had several call backs until we had an appointment I could make. I felt like I was important, not just a dollar sign or a patient number. Dr Hanna is very kind and explains everything completely. Nico helped me find exactly the style of glasses that I wanted and had me out the door with better quality glasses at a much cheaper cost than at a major chain store. I was recommended Hanna Eye Care from a friend. Best recommendation I have had!
Terrible experience. I wish they had an option for zero stars. The staff asked me to write an email to the doctor. I found that offensive seeing that I had given 2 hours of my time already to this appointment for my son that was not going to be seen. 4 months ago Dr. Hanna told me that he wanted to try a new prescription with my son and give him bifocals. I wasn’t comfortable with it but he assured me that this was the best option and he has been doing this for 25 years. He told me that there would be a follow up in 3-4 months to let his eyes adjust. If there were any issues there would be no charge and he could go back to his regular lessens. So here I am 4 months later and two hours of my day for them to tell me that the office visit was going to be $70 and that they only had a 90 day policy to correct the lenses if they were incorrect. Well he was seen in May and it is now September. Why would you schedule someone further out of their 90 days if they knew it wouldn’t be covered and the patient has the potential of needed new lenses? That would leave the patient to buy them out of pocket and making the patient have to pay for an office visit out of pocket as well. Sounds like a scam to me. At the end of the day it is a child that is paying the consequences for a doctor not keeping his word and he could care less about the money he is asking his patients to spend because it isn’t his.
The doctors are nice, most of the staff are friendly. They called me the day before my appointment t to let me know something was wrong with my insurance but I work so I didnt hear the message. I show up to my appointment and the woman at the desk said they filled my spot because I didnt call back. I was furious. I walked out of the building cussing up a storm. The lady came out while I was in my car and said, if you can fix your insurance well try to get you in. Took me two mins to call the insurance, they got me in, all was well.I would say to the customer service reps, instead of filling someones spot have them call their insurance in front of you, or help them call to get a release. Time is valuable to everyone.
Love this place. Dr. Hanna is great! She is very thorough and explains everything she is doing and the reason why. she makes you feel comfortable and gives you time to ask any questions you may have. All of the staff are very friendly and considerate. Greg in particular is awesome!! He assisted me in selecting the perfect pair of glasses and he is so nice! He gives you plenty of time to look over the selections and also picks out some frames that are within your style choice. You can really tell Greg is an expert and loves his job.
It was very clean very little wait time. The entire staff was very friendly nice and helpful.Dr Hanna is very nice and will listen and answer each question without rushing. Overall a Excellent place for vision care and glasses.
Dr Hanna is professional, courteous, and very good with my kids. I love that I can schedule all three at the same time so I dont have to make multiple trips. I definitely recommend the practice.
He is awesome. He has answered all questions. If there had been any questions he has sent out to a specialist. I just love him for his honestyHis eye glass people are wonderful.
I was blessed beyond measure! Hanna Eye Care worked to get me in asap, due to an emergency eye issue, to save my vision. As I sit here, being able to see as I type this, is the most amazing feeling in the world! The care, compassion, excellent doctor and staff at this business is remarkable and unmatched! I will be forever grateful to Dr. Hanna and his staff!
So yall dont close til 5 but I call at 4:40 and youve already got the after hours voicemail? ONE STAR
I called and got a same day appointment for a contact lens exam. The office staff was very friendly. Did not have to wait long to be taken back and didnt wait long at all to see Dr. Hanna. Very impressed with Dr. Hannas professionalism and kindness. He performed a thorough eye exam and adjusted my prescription. I ordered new glasses and prescription sunglasses and am extremely impressed with them! I was helped by the staff pick the perfect frames for me! Will return and recommend to others!
After 13 years of being with Hannah eye care I am done. I purchased new glasses with progressive lenses that I didn’t really need because I already had the same RX at home. The new glasses (with distance also) I only need to drive. Also, I got transition lenses because of driving. The women suggested the brown color transition to match my frames. Never bothered to tell me they don’t get as dark. So I can’t wear them to drive in the sun. They are redoing my glasses, but I am stuck paying the $55 for progressive lenses still even though they are making new ones without them. Dr Hannah is a wonderful man, and Greg that does the glasses is wonderful also. I am leaving because of the rest of the staff.
Ive been going to Dr. Hanna for almost ten years, I think, and I cant be happier. Scheduling is a breeze and all of the staff is so nice. Finding frames within your budget is easy and the people who help you fit them know just what you need. They always explain my insurance benefits too! Definitely recommending them to all of my coworkers.
First rate service all the way around. My exam was for glasses and contacts, to correct for long and close vision, with astigmatism. Doctor Hanna took special care in helping me decide which contacts were the best fit. He gave me a couple different styles to try, and in two weeks, at my recheck, he tweeked things a bit for me, just to make sure the fit was perfect for me. The staff were super friendly, and patient, especially considering my four-year-old wandering around, trying on every pair of glasses while we waited for my eyes to dilate. The atmosphere was comfortable, family friendly, and I didnt have to wait long at all. Also, they were able to put new lenses in my (two-year-old) frames, without pressuring me at all to purchase a new pair of frames. I just cant say enough about the great experience Ive had. I definitely recommend Dr. Hanna!
Called for an appointment and was seen a few hours later. EVERY staff member was exceptional from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I also gained a comprehensive understanding of the the different types of multi-focal glasses. And I saw existing customers interact with the staff on a personal level. Definitely recommend.
So appreciate Hanna Eye Care. They are thorough and concerned about you. They explain everything from equipment to your own concerns in a language you can understand. The environment is friendly and patient. They take their time with you as if you are their only patient. We have been going to Hanna Eye Care since at least 2000. Just before we retired. We see lots of young kids and young adults being serviced each time we are there. Bless Hanna Eye Care : o ) Confident that you will not be disappointed and will be extremely satisfied because that is their ultimate goal for all in your family. Give them try!
Ive been to a couple different eye care providers--a private practice ophthalmologist and the box-stores optometrists. Ive never been so pleased as with my experiences at Dr. Hannas and have made his office my provider from now on. Everyone is friendly, service is prompt, my benefits and costs were explained clearly and I have confidence in the care I received. I chose this provider based on a recommendation and would like to now recommend to others. This is a great choice for your familys eye care.
RUDE EMPLOYEES! and overpriced, I will never go there again, I called trying to reschedule due to flu symptoms and the receptionist girl who was so rude to me ،She also tried to put $25 on me for rescheduling even tho i told her about having symptoms of flu and just didnt want to risk it! I wouldnt advise to go there!
I have been a patient of Dr. Hanna for many years. He is by far the most caring doctor a patient could have. You feel cared for the minute you walk into his office...thats because his staff is professional, friendly and ready to prepare you for your appointment with Dr. Hanna.I really appreciate Dr. Hanna spending as much time as necessary to make sure I understand why and what he is recommending for my eye care! Thanks Dr. Hanna!
Initially sent to Dr. Hanna by my opthomologist. Best recommendation ever! Been going to Hanna Eye Care ever since (late 1990s). Dr. Hanna is TOP NOTCH. He explains all and takes time with you to insure you understand and any questions are answered. Optical dept. Also gives top rate service. (Want cheap or Quality? I prefer Quality especially where my vision is concerned.) Ask, and they will suggest what shape lens compliments your face, hair, complexion. Feel blessed to have found Dr. Hanna!
My family and I have been going to Hanna Eye Care for years. Dr. Hanna has always taken great care of my eyes; he is professional, honest and ALWAYS listens to what I say. It has felt like more of a collaboration between the two of us to take the best possible care of my eyesight. I wouldnt go anywhere else!
My eye care has been provided by Dr. Hanna for approximately 10 years. He is, by far, the best Optometrist I have ever known. Though I now live 75 miles away, I will continue to drive the distance to be treated by a man who I consider to be the best in his field. I highly recommend him for anyone needing anything from minor to major eye care.
Very friendly, on time, thorough examination. Explanations given. I will be here every year from now on! Very well informed. Felt like family there and it was my first time!
Great experience, Dr. Hanna is on point and super friendly. Definitely would recommend to anybody
Have never had any problems with this office. The team there is very organized and courteous.
Called a week in advance with all my insurance info too verify that they are in network and except it. Yes they said. So I made an appointment. I get there start filling out all the paperwork and then, I am sorry sir, but it looks like your not covered. Are you sure you have vision care? Maybe you can call your provider and check. My question is when I called in a week ago and gave you all my info, Did your staff even look it up? Why did this not came up sooner? l lost a half day of work wasting my vary valuable time with you. I bill $365 an hour. If your staff cant lookup simple eye coverage an not waste consumers time how do you stay in business? I was 100% dissatisfied. I called my provider and they arent even in network. What a scam. Good old bait and switch I guess. Get you in and figure you will just pay. I just dont understand the laziness of staff that just tells you oh yea we take your insurance and they never even checked. HANNA EYE CARE IS A COMPLETE WAST OF TIME. They were courteous just not smart.
They are good here. One friendly lady is always at front desk, but just called to see if I could come in for a quick check on my glasses and they lady on the phone was very rude, so I won’t give one star because of her bad attitude I’ll give 4 cause they still have nice people in the office and I love my optometrist ❤️.
The doctor that saw me was a good experience but everything thing after that was This is the worst experience I have ever had purchasing glasses.from the lady rushing me to pick glasses to the incorrect information given on my insurance (Davis insurance)I have been given a bait and switch on everything I was told during my purchase. Definitely would not recommend anyone to come there and spend money with them because if there is a problem on your order they dont care after you have made payment
My husband & I have been going to Dr Hanna for many, many years. We absolutely love him & his staff! Everyone is very knowledgeable, professional, kind & courteous. We wont go anywhere else!!
Sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes even though I had an appointment. I called to ask how much an appointment would cost and I was told $42, but when my appointment was over I was asked to pay $70. I asked why there was a difference in the price and was told the doctor wrote a code on my account. I asked what the code was and the desk attendant didnt know. I asked if someone else could explain and she said the doctor would know but hes in another appointment.
Wow great service and great knowknowle given to me by the technician NIKO Im shopping around for glasses and so far they are my #1 choice
Dr. Hanna is a great doctor. His staff, not so much. I relocated to a new city, and sent a signed request for my records. The request was faxed by my new doctors office. I set up an appointment with the new doctor for 2 weeks later. Imagine my anger/disappointment when i arrived for the appointment, and found that my records had never been sent. I called Dr. Hannas office and read them the riot act. Voila, my records arrived by fax in about 10 minutes. Overall, there is absolutely no excuse for the delay in forwarding the records, and I blame the apathy of the staff. Dr. Hanna...you need to spend some time training your staff in better response to your patients.
Was told when I made the appointment for my husband and I that my insurance was accepted, and if they encountered an issue verifying coverage, I would be contacted beforehand. Was not contacted. Made it to the appointment and was advised they were not able to verify my coverage. Waste of my time and my gas. Communication is key.
I stopped by Dr Hannas office last Thur. to see if someone would look at my eye. i had gotten up with what I thought was a busted blood vessel. I wanted to make sure that was what it was, but knew without an appt., that I probably wouldnt be seen. The young lady at the front desk worked me in and I was able to see Dr Hanna. Awesome group!!
My daughter and I both had eye exams and I have to say Dr. Hanna and his staff are the best. If anyone needs an eye doctor I would definitely recommend Hanna Eye Care.
Good service made me very happy satisfied all of my needs and took a very proper care of me I would refer other people to this eyeglass doctor
Have been going to Dr. Hanna for 20 years. He has always given our family excellent care.
Absolutely love this office. One concern I have with them is they only want to file a claim with one insurance and I always have to ask why wasnt the claim submitted to my secondary insurance, but if you bring this to Dr. Hannas attention, he is very concern and will step in and help the process taken care of.
When you walk into the clinic the clerks look at you like what do you want here. The service over the phone is ludicrous, they treat one like if one were not intelligent enough to know what one was talking about. The doctors are okay to say the least and the frames are good. But what may anger you the most is the delivery time of your frames which they say may take up too two weeks, but really they take up to six weeks if they are the more expensive frames.
Dr. Hanna was great! Very informational! Also he answer every question we had. Our visit was not long at all!
Love the doctors and the lab tech but hate the front office staff. They always drop the ball on insurance verification and returning calls when your eyewear and contact lenses come in. They are not well versed with insurance coverage and cannot explain/understand benefits very well.
Horrible experience. I recieved my galsses and the glass was bigger then the frame came in and asked if they could shave it down or push it more in they siad it was impossible and that i needed to UPGRADE FOR AT LEAST $200 dollars more so it can fit my frame go to walmart and they fix it in less then four minutes. Dont go here all they want is your money plus the lady who checks out your frames is extremely rude and does not listen to what you say shes just trying to make mondy money money . Horrible service. Walmart vision center is way better
Everyone is always so nice, Dr. Hanna is the greatest and is very good at his job. Have been and will continue to be going here for years.
Excellent, friendly, great atmosphere, and the doctor loves kids. Dr. Hanna gave my daughter a free pair of expensive sunglasses for her first eye exam she ever received.
Have been seeing Dr. Hanna for 17 years since he was with Vision Works near regency. 5 stars all the way.
My wife made an appointment about a week in advanced for this Saturday. The office called her yesterday to confirm the appointment, which my wife did. In the confirmation call my wife was asked if she knew the location, to which she replied the one at NAS Jax, right? To which the worker replied Uh huh, yeah, bye and hung up.So you can imagine how we felt after driving all the way across town, waiting for our 8:45 AM appointment, only to be told at 9:00 AM after waiting 30 minutes because like you should for appts we showed up 15 minutes early, when the jax office opened that not only was she not in their system, theres no doctor on site on Saturdays to see my wife for her appt. They called the other Southside location which is a few minutes from our house, and found out they had the appointment in the Southside offices system. We were asked if we still wanted to go to that office center today to make an appointment. To which we said no thank you.If you cannot even set up a simple eye exam appointment properly why should we trust that youd actually be able to perform an even more complicated task such as an actual eye exam?
The best thing about this office is the optometrist. Dr. Holland was patient and understanding. She explained everything and was thorough. I was and still am satisfied with her service. The staff is disorganized and rude! I scheduled eye exams for all three people in my family. I called one week ahead to give my insurance information along with a phone number to verify coverage/benefits. Our appointments were on Saturday so I wanted to make sure there wouldnt be a problem. What happens on Saturday - well, we were NOT greeted as new patients, just please fill out these forms, and oh you havent met your deductible, whats going on with that? Is that their business? Ive never been asked that question especially not as a new patient. At checkout, prior to picking out frames, I was told that the amount was $195!!!!! My copay is $15 for adults and $ZERO for child. So, my total should have been $30 for the eye exams. I asked if she verified my insurance. She said yes, I havent met my deductible so that was the total, more insistent the two time she said it.While picking out frames, (this person was very friendly), I mentioned that our Davis Vision plan has an allowance for frames. Then I heard, oh, Davis Vision isnt down here for your insurance. We will have to update that. WHAT??!! I just had that discussion with the lady at the desk. She told me twice that I hadnt met my deductible. She didnt want to look anything up. Well, after the mention of Davis Vision, she starting looking up things on the computer, and said she couldnt find anything on me. She said she couldnt verify anything on Saturday. I couldnt see anything because my eyes were dilated. So, to sum this awful first time office visit, I paid the $195 with the understanding that I would be refunded once they verified everything. I was ok with that until I called on Monday. After three phones calls back and forth, later that afternoon I received a call stating they would refund the money by the end of the day. No apology for the inconvenience or any type of acknowledgement of overcharging me. Next day, I check my account and no credit. I called the office, and I was told they didnt issue the credit because I was going to buy glasses and they were going to wait to see how much that be. WHAT????!!!!!I went to the office and talk to the office manager. I politely asked the office manager to please consult me when making decisions with MY MONEY! I also discussed my other concerns. She apologized and told me that she will credit my account on the end of the day because it will mess things up if she does it right now. She also mentioned that its so hard to verify the Obamacare plans. That statement made my neck jerk. I ask..what was that? She said, yes, we have so much trouble with the Obamacare plans. I said well, I dont have a plan under Obamacare. I purchased it through BCBS. She said, well, its labeled as such, and I can show you. I researched this further. Apparently any plans after 1/1/2014 with BCBS that was approved by Obamacare will be labeled as such. If I can find this information out quickly, then why cant they. This office has proven that they dont want to go the extra mile and make a phone call to straighten things out.Oh by the way the glasses with my insurance coverage for all three of us was $636.80!!!!!!!! WHAT????!!!!!We decided to go to Vision Works. We walked in on a Saturday. They called Davis Vision to verify our insurance. I was actually shocked that they verified everything so quickly around 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. When I mentioned that the other provider wasnt able to verify on a Saturday, I was told that they didnt want to make a phone call. Wonderful customer service! We all got designer frames for $278 out the door!I wouldnt recommend this office unless you have confirmation that they have verified your correct insurance. So unprofessional especially when it concerns overcharging.
I’ve been seen in this office a few times over the years, and my last 2 experiences were horrible.
Never had a bad experience. Been with them six years.
Great staff, doctors very professional and knowledgeable. Clean.
Dr. Hanna and his staff are top notch. I have been a patient of his for 5 years and will not go to anyone else.
The doctor is the best! Hes funny and cares about you.
Always great 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😀😀
I like people from other parts of the world ;)~
