The name of the store describes it completely. They literally have every game for every game system you could ever want here give or take. The selection was quite impressive. They also have manuals and controllers and some other accessories to go along with any of your gaming needs. The employee behind the register was very accommodating and very nice as well as knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable. It is located in a good location. The store was clean with easy access for everybody.

I definitely think if you are trading a game go somewhere else. I had a game that was worth at least $50 used so i was expecting to get $10 to $20 dollars for it, but instead I was told $3 dollars for it. What a waist. Do not recommend.

Staff was very friendly and provided great customer service. The game selection is also very solid and reasonably priced to boot. Overall, an excellent game store, especially for retro games!

The vast selection from older, to old to new games was great as well as certains items only collectors would be interested in however some of the more newer games could stand to have their prices changed, seeing as Walmart or gamestop was giving way better deals when it came to certain titles.

Extremely good customer service! Every time I have come in here the staff has been very nice and accommodating. Especially compared to places like GameStop.Also, they have an incredible selection of video games spanning many generations. They are by far the best video game store in the area hands down.

JM helped us tonight. He was super nice despite helping out multiple customers at the same time. There are so many games to look at and a small movie section. If anything isnt working properly, just keep your receipt and you have 30 days to return the item.

One of the worst video game stores Ive ever been to. Ever. The store has rows and rows of video games but its all the sort of stuff you would never want to play. Anything worth more than $10 is stored behind the counter far enough to the point that you cant even see what they have, which makes buying anything more trouble than its worth. Add some bad customet service and terribly overpriced items on all that and you have a terrible video game store.

The guys that run this store are pretty awesome. They found a game I had been searching for in their garage for me! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Great prices and sales.

Asked if they tested there consuls to make sure they worked they said that they did so I bought a switch got home set it up to find that a part of it is loss causing it to not work I tried to call them to see if I could switch it out they did not answer there phone I would not recommend this place there used games are over priced you could go and get a brand new game for the same price as a used game

The guy (not sure of his name sorry) was very nice knowledgeable, he helped em pick out a Donkey Kong game tht I wasnt sure about, the only thing I didnt really like was that they had to many of the same games to choose from, BUT will definitely go back there, customer service was amazing.

We called this store multiple times and told them we were on our way to please have the games requested out that we would be right there. They closed right at 5:59pm on sunday even thought we called them 3 minutes before to let them know we were arpund the corner and he said thats fine we will wait. Bit they closed when we knocked at 6:01pm. They should have not wasted our time and been more clear on the phone. Seems irresponsible for them to treat their customers that way.

Had an excellent experience trading large volume of vintage equipment, swapped a loose Sega tower for a boxed TurboGrafx-16 and a few games. Very fair deal, and they were very skillful in managing large volumes of customers without making anyone feel ignored. Customer service top notch. Definitely the best variety of retro stuff in this area they had a little bit of everything. It’s the type of store you can find little treasures in too.

This is the best gaming store in Jax. They are extremely fair on trades and have an excellent selection of games on any console. The staff are super cool, and really want your kids to enjoy gaming.

I tend to check out nearby retro video game stores when I go to places Im not around normally, so this was an easy pick in Jacksonville. The selection was a lot better than I expected for it being considered not as good as Video Game Rescue, and I was generally pleased with the store as a whole, say for some negatives for later. When it comes to retro video game stores, they usually have a secondary business, and this one has a large movie collection, even if its definitely playing 2nd fiddle to the games. Plenty of consoles available, and has a good share of rarer game titles as well, which is always a nice sight. That being said, there are issues. When it comes to the store front, the sun is its main enemy when it comes to presentation. If any item is located towards the front of the store, expect a lot of sun damage. The posters on the walls show a ton of it and should be replaced. Another negative Id have to give is towards some of the associates. I like a knowledgeable person working a counter, but not one who is overly obnoxious about what he knows or thinks he knows. I didnt get the name primarily because talking to the guy was a chore. He was helpful when you asked something, but he could not help but act like Comic Book Guy before or after doing so. Dont care how long hes worked there, its not helping your business.

Better than GameStop

My husband and I came in while looking for an original Game Cube controller time play Smash Ultimate with. Such a huge selection of preowned items and very well organized. The guy at the counter provided fantastic customer service and entertained us with stories. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Great used game and movie shop. Good prices and knowledgeable staff. Accessories and legacy platforms in abundance. I wish there were a place like this in my town. We stop here each time we are in Jacksonville.

Poor customer service, I dont care attitude and overcharged me. Then the machine didnt work when I got it home. I had to go back 40 miles to get one that works.

Bought 3 games, two out of three didnt work and froze immediately. I was only offered to exchange the Dead games for other games in the shop rather than get my $$$ back. But why would I want more games that most likely dont work instead of my money back. ? These games were over 35$ too. Is that even legal that they say they can keep your $$$ even though the games completely are trash and dont work??!?! Sketchy place man. Avoid.

I visited Games Galore when it was still located at Normandy Boulevard and Lane Avenue in the Westside before they moved to Jacksonville Beach. They have a variety of used video games that are in pristine condition and from various consoles, both vintage and current generation. They even carry vintage Japanese import games. The prices for them and the consoles are very fair and affordable. I got a few vintage games from there that I enjoyed thoroughly and at good prices. If you are ever in Jacksonville Beach, stop by Games Galore if you wish to trade or sell your games and/or consoles and the variety is vast.

Perfect for old games

I love theres still a local game store that Gamestop hasnt stomped out. They carry ALOT of retro games and walk-thru guides for old consoles, and although they can be pricey on some, still fun to browse and pick up some (for those of us who still have all the old consoles).They also carry a very large collection of used blu-rays and upon this visit, were 50% off, so that was quite nice. One downfall is that they are not upfront about policies and you find out on the receipt that what they tell you is only half of the truth. Also, sadly, during this pandemic, although Jacksonville has passed an indoor mask requirement, the store is not enforcing this as plenty of people were in and out without a face covering of any kind, and employees did not advise them they should be wearing one.

This place has every thing old school you could imagine. If you like vintage gaming then this is your place. The reason for a three-star review is we drove excessively out of our way to pick up a flight stick they said they had and when we got there he was showing us Xbox controllers. Im not sure if that was just to get us into the store or he really thinks the toggles on a controller count as a joystick.

I LOOOOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! Workers are very nice and actually wanna talk and not be awkward. Great selection and games are in good condition and come with the manual and stuff. The consoles could use some work cosmetically but the ones I’ve bought have worked great. They sell everything related to gaming, they sell new consoles and games for the PS4 and Xbox which is great and have all your retro needs!this place puts game stop to shame!

This store is unlike other retro game shops as it includes a wide variety of fairly-priced games, movies, systems and even very rare, collectors edition items in stock (They had a rare, mint-condition Mother game with all of its booklets and everything). If youre looking for a rare or older game, youd be sure to find it here. Owner was very knowledgeable about his products and inventory. By far the best game store Ive ever visited.

Sold three game consoles to them with a few games, got way more than I thought they were worth. After doing some research I think some of the games were very collectible, and they gave me a very fair price. They could have taken advantage but they didnt.

Wonderful place to get games from any generation of consoles. I have bought a PlayStation 2, a Wii and many games, all used and have only ever had small problems which were quickly taken care of. Any disc that doesnt work is quickly replaced, and they also offer a service to fix any of your consoles whether they were purchased through them or not. My Wii and my PS2 run like champs. I have also never seen such a collection of accessories! This has been my go to place for consoles, games accessories, trade ins and anything else I need ever since my first visit. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, who dont pressure you to buy, just give you good advice and great conversation. I only wish I could rate higher.

I recently had been hit with some nostalgia, and went looking for some games/systems i use to play when I was a teenager. Found this glorious store and everything i needed and my favorite game. I had a problem with the AV cord for the system i bought, and the owner replaced it free of charge. I love this place, and I will continue to shop here first and recommend them to all my friends. 11 out of 10 for sure!

Great experience at the is place and by far one of the better game stores in Jax. Huge selection of used games and if its not on the shelf just ask they may still have it. Only pitfall to this place is like with any used game store is the games are used. Out of the 20 games Ive purchased I had to return two so make sure you keep your receipt.

Ive been coming here for over a decade. Might have changed locations but still the same. A great place to get the video games and collectables that no one else has. Old games and systems and a large selection of game related oddities. Prices are reasonable and most of the staff is super knowledgeable. Will always be on my stop by every now and then list. Just to see what new cool stuff they have gotten in stock. Love em.

Stopped in on a whim and ended up finding a few games that you can only find on eBay for 3/4 the asking price on eBay. Needless to say was a good day of spending. Would highly recommend

This store is just okay. They have a very wide varity of games, but they are way more expensive compared to other game stores in the Jacksonville area. My biggest complaint however, is that they store most of their games behind the counter or in a case side by side to the point that you cant even read what the title is. This is terrible marketing, as someone could walk in and not see a game they may have bought and walk out without buying anything. I can understand locking up or putting behind the counter the more expensive/rare games, but putting $5 dollar gamecube games so far behind the counter that you cant even see the titles is just killing business.

I only gave them a star because I cant give them zero. I purchased a Super Nintendo for a gift, it was the last one in stock and the guy that sold it to me told me they had actually just tested it out. I made the mistake of trusting not verifying, the system did not work. I brought the cables in (Best I could get from the person I gifted it to, before they were able to mail the system) to have them checked and see if they were the issue, one guy had no problem helping me but some lady kept asking condescending questions and sarcastic statements well its kind of hard to know whats wrong if you dont bring the console in. I recommend a healthy dose of skepticism when purchasing from them and do not expect friendly customer service.

The asian dude working was awkward as heck, and seemed super normie. The stickers leave so much residue its disgusting. Bad stickers are my biggest pet peeve. All the games are getting sun damaged because of the laser beam of sunlight shining through the windows, just look at the posters ffs. Prices are okay but fall into the realm of well i can just get this on ebay for way cheaper. All the actually good games are behind a shelf and I keep having to ask this awkward dude over and over and its super annoying.

If you purchase a device from this store, double check before you buy it they sell devices with the serial codes scratched off. They over price their games and consoles but rip you off when you come in to sell a device, they sell defective games and there are two of four employees that are unkind and very rude. Also if you buy a game that doesnt work you can bring it back in but only for in store credit (no cash refunds). I do not recommend coming here unless you enjoy being ripped off. MAKE SURE TO HAVE THEM SHOW YOU YOUR PURCHASE WORKS BEFORE YOU PAY FOR IT!!!

We were staying overnight in Jacksonville and saw this place. Being a nerdly nerd I had to check it out. They had an awesome collection of retro and new games and consoles. They even had a Virtual Boy! If Im ever in JAX again I will absolutely stop in again.

My family found this place completely by chance and has become our new go to for our NES and Super Nintendo games. They have the best prices on them weve seen anywhere.
